21. Story of Prophet Sulaiman (AS)
Story of Prophet Sulaiman (AS)
Prophet Sulaiman (AS) was the son of Prophet Dawood (AS). Allah blessed him with wisdom, power, and many amazing gifts. He was a king and a prophet, ruling with justice and kindness.
The Gifts of Sulaiman (AS)
Allah gave Sulaiman (AS) the ability to understand the language of animals and to talk to birds, ants, and even the wind. Allah also made the jinn (invisible beings) obey him, and they helped him build grand palaces and other structures.
The Ant’s Story
One day, Prophet Sulaiman (AS) and his army were traveling through a valley. There were tiny ants living in the valley. When one of the ants saw Sulaiman’s (AS) army approaching, it said, “O ants, go into your homes so Sulaiman and his army do not crush you by mistake!”
Prophet Sulaiman (AS) heard the ant’s warning. He smiled and thanked Allah for giving him the ability to understand their language. He reminded his people to always be kind and careful, even with the smallest creatures.
The Queen of Sheba
Sulaiman (AS) had a special bird called the Hudhud (Hoopoe), who brought him important news. One day, the Hudhud told Sulaiman (AS) about a queen named Bilqis, who ruled over a rich kingdom called Sheba. The Hudhud said, “She and her people worship the sun instead of Allah!”
Prophet Sulaiman (AS) sent a letter to Queen Bilqis, inviting her to worship Allah alone. The queen was wise and decided to visit Sulaiman (AS) to see his kingdom and learn more about his message.
Before she arrived, Sulaiman (AS) asked the jinn to bring her magnificent throne to him. With Allah’s permission, it appeared instantly in his palace. When Bilqis arrived and saw the wisdom and power of Sulaiman (AS), she realized that he was truly a prophet of Allah. She embraced Islam and started worshiping Allah.
Prophet Sulaiman’s (AS) Wisdom
Sulaiman (AS) was known for his fairness and wisdom. One day, two women came to him with a baby. Both claimed that the baby was theirs. Prophet Sulaiman (AS) thought of a way to reveal the truth. He said, “Let us divide the baby between you both.”
One woman immediately cried out, “No! Please give the baby to her. Just don’t hurt him!”
Sulaiman (AS) knew that the woman who showed compassion was the real mother. He gave the baby to her and praised her love for her child.
