02. Kaan mein Azan Kehna [Recommendation of saying the Adhân and Iqamah in the newborn’s ear]
*KAAN MEIN AZAAN KEHNA*
Bachay ki wilaadat kay baad sab se pehla yeh kaam kiya jaaye keh kisi naik, deenadar aur parhaiz gaar shakhs kay zariye us kay dahnay kaan mein azaan aur baaein kaan mein iqaamat kehlwai jaaye, yeh is liye keh dunia mein aanay kay baad bachay kay kaan mein sab se Pehlay Rabul Aalameen ka naam, aur kalma shahaadat
أشہد أن لا إلٰہ إلّا اللّٰہ وأشہد أنّ محمدا رسول اللّٰہ
Ki sadaa goonjay, yeh goyaa us kay dunia mein aanay kay baad shahadteen ki talqeen ki hai, jaise keh is waqt shahadteen ki talqeen ki jati hai jab aik muslaman dunia se aakhrat kay safar pay rawana hota hai.
Is mein Allah Ta’alaa aur us kay deen ki daawat aur ‘aqeedah toheed ka ehtamaam hai, yeh is liye bhi zaroori hai keh shaitaan azaan kay kalimaat sun kar bhaag khara hota hai, woh us ki wilaadat kay intazaar mein rehta hai taakeh junhi woh paidah ho to woh us ko chooaye, aur woh us se apnay pehlay hi ta’aluq mein woh kalimaat sunta hai jo usay nagawaar, gusaa dilanay walay aur kamzor karnay walay hein to goyaa yeh shaitaan aur nafsani khwahishaat ko usi waqt se door karnay ka ehtamaam hai jab bacha dunia ki boo sunghtaa aur us kay wajood ki baad naseem se mutmata hota hai.
1۔عن أبی رافع رضی اللّٰہ عنہ أنہ قال :” رَأَیْتُ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم أَذَّنَ فِیْ أُذْنِ حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ حَیْنَ وَلَدَتْہُ فَاطِمَۃُ بِالصَّلَاۃِ” (ابوداؤد / ترمذی وقال حدیث حسن صحیح )
Hazrat Abu Rafay (رضي الله عنه) farmatay hein:
“Main ne Rasool Ullah (ﷺ) ko dekha keh aap ne Hazrat Hasan Bin Ali ( رضی اللہ عنہا ) kay kaan mein us waqt azaan dia jab unhein Hazrat Fatimah ( رضی اللہ عنہا ) ne janam dia.”

Recommendation of saying the Adhân and Iqamah in the newborn’s ear
Among the rules laid down by Islam for a newborn child is to say the Adhân in his right ear and Iqamah in his left ear immediately after he is born. Abü Dawûd and At-Tirmidhi related that Abů Rafi said, “I saw Allah’s Messenger saying adhân in Al-Hasan Ibn Ali’s ear when Fatimah gave birth to him.”
According to Ibn Al-Qayyim’s book, the secret behind saying the Adhan and Iqamah is that it is the first thing that a human being hears. They are the words of the Supreme call which contains Allah’s magnificence and glory, and the shahadah which represents his first step into Islam. So this is like an instruction for him as he starts this life, similar to that of the instruction Tawhid (Oneness) he is given when his life ends. We do not exclude that his heart may benefit from the Adhân though he may not feel it, as well as achieving another benefit, that is, pushing Satan away by the words of the Adhân, although he (Satan) was awaiting his birth. His Satan learns of what weakens him, and teases him once he gets close to him.
Another symbol rests there, i.e. (calling him to Allah’s way), religion and worship before Satan calls him to his own way. The innateness upon which Allah has originated mankind was there before Satan changed it and turned man away from it. Many other meanings and symbols lie within the words of the Adhân.

کان میں اذان کہنا
بچّے کی ولادت کے بعد سب سے پہلا یہ کام کیا جائے کہ کسی نیک، دیندار اورمتقی شخص کے ذریعے اسکے کان میں اذان کہلوائی جائے، یہ اسلئے کہ دنیا میں آنے کے بعد بچے کے کان میں سب سے پہلے رب العالمین کے نام اور کلمہء شہادت أشہد أن لا إلٰہ إلّا اللّٰہ وأشہد أنّ محمدا رسول اللّٰہ کی صدا گونجے، یہ گویا اسکے دنیا میں آنے کے بعد شھادتین کی تلقین ہے، جیسے کہ اس وقت شھادتین کی تلقین کی جاتی ہے جب ایک مسلمان دنیا سے سفرِ آخرت پر روانہ ہوتا ہے۔اس میں اللہ تعالی اور اسکے دین کی دعوت اور عقیدہء توحید کا اہتمام ہے، یہ اسلئے بھی ضروری ہے کہ شیطان اذان کے کلمات سن کر بھاگ کھڑا ہوتا ہے،وہ اسکی ولادت کے انتظار میں رہتا ہے تاکہ جونہی وہ پیدا ہوتو اس کو چھوئے، اور وہ اس سے اپنے پہلے ہی تعلق میں وہ کلمات سنتا ہے جو اسے ناگوار، غصّہ دلانے والے اور کمزور کرنے والے ہیں تو گویا یہ شیطان اور نفسانی خواہشات کو اسی وقت سے دور کرنے کا اہتمام ہے جب بچہ دنیا کی بُو سونگھتا اور اس کے وجود کی بادِ نسیم سے متمتع ہوتا ہے۔
1۔ عن أبی رافع رضی اللّٰہ عنہ أنہ قال :” رَأَیْتُ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم أَذَّنَ فِیْ أُذْنِ حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ حَیْنَ وَلَدَتْہُ فَاطِمَۃُ بِالصَّلَاۃِ”
ترجمہ : ابو رافع رضی اللہ عنہ فرماتے ہیں :”میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ نے حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہما کے کان میں اس وقت اذان دی، جب انہیں سیدہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے جنم دیا تھا”۔
