16. JAHANNUM HAMESHA RAHEGI
Irshad-e-Bari Ta’aala hai:
﴿ أَلَمْ یَعْلَمُوْا أَنَّہُ مَنْ یُّحَادِدِ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوْلَہُ فَأَنَّ لَہُ نَارَ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِیْہَا ذٰلِکَ الْخِزْیُ الْعَظِیْمُ﴾
“Kiya wo nahi jantay keh jo Allah aur Rasool ki mukhalifat karega uske liye jahannum ki aag hai jisme wo hamesha rahega- wo bohat badi ruswaee hogi.”
[Surah Tawba:09: 63]
Isi tarah farmaaya:
﴿فَادْخُلُوْا أَبْوَابَ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدِیْنَ فِیْہَا فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَی الْمُتَکَبِّرِیْنَ))
“Pas tum jahannum kay darwazon mein dakhil hojaou jahan tum hamesha kay liye rahogay, aur wo takabbur karnay walon kay liye bohat bura thikana hai.”
[Surah Nahl: 16: 29]
Aur Farmaaya:
﴿إِنَّہُ مَنْ یَّأْتِ رَبَّہُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَہُ جَہَنَّمَ لاَ یَمُوْتُ فِیْہَا وَلاَ یَحْیٰی﴾
“Beshak jo shakhs apnay Rab kay samne mujrim ki haisiyat se aega tou uska thikana jahannum hoga- isme wo na marega aur na zinda rahega.”
[Surah Taahaa:20: 74]
Isi Tarah Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar(رضي الله عنه) bayan karte hai keh Rasool Allah(ﷺ) ne farmaaya:
(( إِذَا صَارَ أَہْلُ الْجَنَّۃِ إِلَی الْجَنَّۃِ وَصَارَ أَہْلُ النَّارِ إِلَی النَّارِ،أُتِیَ بِالْمَوْتِ حَتّٰی یُجْعَلَ بَیْنَ الْجَنَّۃِ وَالنَّارِ ثُمَّ یُذْبَحُ،ثُمَّ یُنَادِیْ مُنَادٍ:یَا أَہْلَ الْجَنَّۃِ!لَا مَوْتَ،وَیَا أَہْلَ النَّارِ!لَا مَوْتَ،فَیَزْدَادُ أَہْلُ الْجَنَّۃِ فَرَحًا إِلٰی فَرَحِہِمْ،وَیَزْدَادُ أَہْلُ النَّارِ حُزْنًا إِلٰی حُزْنِہِمْ))
“Jab jannat walay jannat mein aur jahannum walay jahannum mein chalebjaengay tou maut ko laya jaega- Phir usay jannat wa Dozakh kay darmiyaan mein laakar zibah kardiya jaega- Phir aik munadi ilaan karega: Ae Ahl-e-jannat ! Tum par kabhi maut nahi aegi aur Ahl-e-jahannum! Tum par bhi kabhi maut nahi aegi- Chunacha jannat walon ki khushi mein aur jahannum walon kay gham mein aur izafa hojaega.”
[Sahih Al Bukhari: 6548]
JAHANNUM MEIN KUFFAR PAR MAUT NAHI AEGI
Jaise keh Allah Ta’aala ka farmaan hai:
﴿ إِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ کَفَرُوْا بِآیَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِیْہِمْ نَارًا کُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُوْدُہُمْ بَدَّلْنَاہُمْ جُلُوْدًا غَیْرَہَا لِیَذُوْقُوْا الْعَذَابَ))
“Jin logon ne hamari aayaton se kufr kiya unhain ham yaqeenan aag mein daal dengay- Jab unki khaalen pak jaengi tou ham unke siwa aur khaalen badal dengay taake wo azaab chakhte rahen.”
[Surah Nisa:04: 56]

Hell is eternal and will never cease to exist or come to an end, as At Tahaawi says in his ‘Aqeedah: “Paradise and Hell are two created
entities, they will never cease to exist or come to an end.”
Sharh at-Tahawiyah, Pp. 476
Ibn Hazm mentions that the entire ummah is agreed on this matter. In Al-Milal wan-Nihal he says: “All groups in the ummah agree that Paradise and its pleasures will never pass away, and neither will Hell and its torments. (The only one who disagrees is) Al-Jahm ibn Safwan.”

In his book Maraatib a l-Ijm a a Ibn Hazm says: “Hell is real; it is the abode of punishment that does not pass away; its inhabitants will
remain in it and never die.”

The texts that indicate the eternal nature of Hell are many, and we will quote several of them in the following discussion. It is sufficient
to know that Allah, the Exalted, has called Hell Daar al-Khuld (“the abode of eternity”).
This is the opinion of Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jama‘ah, that Hell is eternal and will never pass away, that its inhabitants will remain
therein forever. No-one will come out of Hell except the sinners from among the believers in the Oneness of God – the monotheists; the
disbelievers – kujfaar – and the polytheists – mushrikeen will abide there forever.

أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُۥ مَن يُحَادِدِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَأَنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدًۭا فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخِزْىُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٦٣
Do they not know that whoever opposes Allāh and His Messenger – that for him is the fire of Hell, wherein he will abide eternally? That is the great disgrace.
[Surah Tawba:09: 63]
فَٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ أَبْوَٰبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ ٢٩
So enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and how wretched is the residence of the arrogant.
[Surah Nahl: 16: 29]
PEOPLE OF HELL WILL NEVER DIE:
إِنَّهُۥ مَن يَأْتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجْرِمًۭا فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ٧٤
Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal – indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live.
[Surah Taahaa:20: 74]
“ إِذَا صَارَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ إِلَى النَّارِ، جِيءَ بِالْمَوْتِ حَتَّى يُجْعَلَ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، ثُمَّ يُذْبَحُ، ثُمَّ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لاَ مَوْتَ، يَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ لاَ مَوْتَ، فَيَزْدَادُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَرَحًا إِلَى فَرَحِهِمْ. وَيَزْدَادُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ حُزْنًا إِلَى حُزْنِهِمْ ”.
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise and the people of the Fire have entered the Fire, death will be brought and will be placed between the Fire and Paradise, and then it will be slaughtered, and a call will be made (that), ‘O people of Paradise, no more death ! O people of the Fire, no more death ! ‘ So the people of Paradise will have happiness added to their previous happiness, and the people of the Fire will have sorrow added to their previous sorrow.”
[Sahih Al Bukhari: 6548]
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًۭا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَـٰهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًۭا ٥٦
Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses – We will drive them into a fire. Every time their skins are roasted through, We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allāh is ever Exalted in Might and Wise.
[Surah Nisa:04: 56]

(۱۶) جہنم ہمیشہ رہے گی
ارشاد باری تعالیٰ ہے:﴿ أَلَمْ یَعْلَمُوْا أَنَّہُ مَنْ یُّحَادِدِ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوْلَہُ فَأَنَّ لَہُ نَارَ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدًا فِیْہَا ذٰلِکَ الْخِزْیُ الْعَظِیْمُ﴾
’’ کیا وہ نہیں جانتے کہ جو اللہ اور رسول کی مخالفت کرے گا اس کیلئے جہنم کی آگ ہے جس میں وہ ہمیشہ رہے گا ۔ وہ بہت بڑی رسوائی ہو گی۔‘‘
التوبۃ9:63
اسی طرح فرمایا : ﴿فَادْخُلُوْا أَبْوَابَ جَہَنَّمَ خَالِدِیْنَ فِیْہَا فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَی الْمُتَکَبِّرِیْنَ ﴾
’’ پس تم جہنم کے دروازوں میں داخل ہو جاؤ جہاں تم ہمیشہ کیلئے رہو گے ۔ اور وہ تکبر کرنے والوں کیلئے بہت برا ٹھکانا ہے ۔‘‘
النحل16:29
اور فرمایا:﴿إِنَّہُ مَنْ یَّأْتِ رَبَّہُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَہُ جَہَنَّمَ لاَ یَمُوْتُ فِیْہَا وَلاَ یَحْیٰی﴾
’’بے شک جو شخص اپنے رب کے سامنے مجرم کی حیثیت سے آئے گا تو اس کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہو گا ۔ اس میں نہ وہ مرے گا اور نہ زندہ رہے گا ۔‘‘
طہ20:74
اسی طرح حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :
(( إِذَا صَارَ أَہْلُ الْجَنَّۃِ إِلَی الْجَنَّۃِ وَصَارَ أَہْلُ النَّارِ إِلَی النَّارِ،أُتِیَ بِالْمَوْتِ حَتّٰی یُجْعَلَ بَیْنَ الْجَنَّۃِ وَالنَّارِ ثُمَّ یُذْبَحُ،ثُمَّ یُنَادِیْ مُنَادٍ:یَا أَہْلَ الْجَنَّۃِ!لَا مَوْتَ،وَیَا أَہْلَ النَّارِ!لَا مَوْتَ،فَیَزْدَادُ أَہْلُ الْجَنَّۃِ فَرَحًا إِلٰی فَرَحِہِمْ،وَیَزْدَادُ أَہْلُ النَّارِ حُزْنًا إِلٰی حُزْنِہِمْ))
’’ جب جنت والے جنت میں اور جہنم والے جہنم میں چلے جائیں گے تو موت کو لایا جائے گا ۔ پھر اسے جنت ودوزخ کے درمیان میں لا کرذبح کردیا جائے گا ۔ پھر ایک منادی اعلان کرے گا : اے اہلِ جنت ! تم پر کبھی موت نہیں آئے گی اور اہلِ جہنم ! تم پر بھی کبھی موت نہیں آئے گی ۔ چنانچہ جنت والوں کی خوشی میں اور جہنم والوں کے غم میں اور اضافہ ہو جائے گا۔‘‘
صحیح البخاری: 6548، صحیح مسلم :2850
جہنم میں کفارپر موت نہیں آئے گی جیسا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشاد ہے :
﴿ إِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ کَفَرُوْا بِآیَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِیْہِمْ نَارًا کُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُوْدُہُمْ بَدَّلْنَاہُمْ جُلُوْدًا غَیْرَہَا لِیَذُوْقُوْا الْعَذَابَ﴾
’’ جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں سے کفر کیا انھیں ہم یقینا آگ میں ڈال دیں گے ۔ جب ان کی کھالیں پک جائیں گی تو ہم ان کے سوا اور کھالیں بدل دیں گے تاکہ وہ عذاب چکھتے رہیں۔ ‘‘
