Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyahh Bint-e-Huyai (رضی اللہ عنھا)
Allah taala ne mujhe sirf jannati khatoon se shaadi karne ka hukum diya.

Beshak tu nabi ki beti hai, ٹera chacha nabi hai, آur tu nabi ki biwi hai۔

Zuad-o-Taqwa. Sidq-o-Safa. Ibadat-o-Riyazt. Ilm-o-Fazal. Izzat-o-Sharf Deen-o-Danish Zikr-o-Fikr aur Fahm-o-Farasat ki khugar Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah Bint-e-Huyai bin Akhtab ki Hayat-e-Tayyiba ka tazkira har momin khatoon ke liye Mashal-e-Raah hai.
Hazrat Safiyyah banu Nazeer ke sardaar Huyai bin Akhtab ki laadli beti thi. Iski walida ka naam Barrah Bint-e-Shamwaal tha. Yeh Rafa`a bin Shamwal Qurazi ki hamsheera thi. Safiyyah Bint-e-Huyai ka pahela nikah Sallaam bin Mishkam se hua. Thode hi arse ke baad un dono mein alaidgi ho gayi. phr uski shaadi Kinanah bin Rabee bin Haqiq se hui. Yeh ghazwa-e-Khaybar mein maara gaya. Khaybar se jo Maal-e-Ghaneemat Lashkar-e–e-Islam ke hath laga. Us mein Safiyyah bhi shamil thi. Dihya Kalbi رضی اللہ عنہ ne Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) se kaneez ka mutaliba kiya to aapne use khud hi intikhaab ki ijazat de di. Usne Safiyyah ko apne liye muntakhab kiya. Sahabah Kiraam ne aapki khidmat mein arz kiya. Ya Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) Safiyyah sardaar ki beti hai. Aap agar use apni tahweel mein ley lein to zayada behtar hoga. Aapne Sahabah ki tajweez ko manzur karte hue pahle use azaad kiya aur phr us se shaadi kar li. Wahsi bin Harab key hawaly sey yeh riwayat manqool hai:
ان رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم لما افاء اللہ علیہ صفیۃ قال لاصحابہ ما تقولون فی ھذہ الجاریۃ؟ قالوا نقول: انک اولی الناس بھا واحقھم، قال: فانی اعتقتھا واستنکحتھا وجعلت عتقھا مھرھا۔ فقال رجل: الولیمۃ یارسول اللہ ؟ فقال رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم : الولیمۃ اول یوم حق، والثانیۃ معروف، والثالثۃ فخر
Nabi Akram (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ke paas jab Maal-e-Ghaneemat mein Safiyyah aayi to aapne apne Sahabah se pucha tumhara is ladki ke baare me kya khayal hai?
Sab ne kaha ya Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) yeh sab logo ki nisbat aapke liye munasib aur behtar hai.
Farmaya: Suno main ney use azaad kiya aur use apni zaujiyat mein leta hun.
aik shakhs ne arz kiya: Ya Rasool Allah waleema?
Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne farmaya: Pahle din walima haqq, Dusre din rawaaj aur teesre din fakhr ka bais hota hai.
Seerat Ibn-e-Hisham aur Dalail-ul-Nubuuwah Baihaqi aur Dalail-ul-Nubuuwah Li Asbahani mein Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ke hawale se marwi hai. farmati hain bachpan mein mere abba jaan aur chacha jaan Abu Yasir ko mere saath bhut piyaar tha. Ham Madinah mein rihish pazeer the jis roz Rasool Allah Makkah se hijrat karke Madinah pahuche Banu Amar bin Aauf ki waadi Qubaa mein padaw kiya to mere abba jaan aur chacha jaan unhe daikhne ke liye gaye. Jab wapas ghar aaye to dono ke chehre par thakawat uktahat aur mayusi ke asaar numaiya the. unho ney Khilaaf-e-Mamul meri taraf bhi koi tawajja na di. Halankeh pahle kabhi aise na hua tha. mein unhen daikh kar ghabra gayi. Chacha ney mere abba jan se pucha sunao kya yeh wahi hai. Abba ne kaha haan ba khuda yeh waqai wahi hai. Chacha ne kaha kya tum achi tarah pahechante ho? Abba ne kaha haan bhi!
Chacha ne kaha tere dil mein uske liye kya khayalat hain? Abba ne kaha mein zindagi bhar us se adawat ka rawaiyya ikhtiyaar kiye rahunga.
Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ne yeh Bughz-o-Inaad aur Kufr-o-Ilhaad se labarez guftugu apne kanao se suni. chunkeh yeh badi danishwar khatoon thi. Unki nigaah aane wale kal par thi. Unke dil mein yeh ahsaas paida hua keh us shkhsiyat ke baare mein waahi tabahi bol rahe hain jo Aman-o-Salamti ka piyanbar hai. Jo kisi ko satata nahi. Laikin un khayalat ka izhaar woh us ghar mein bar mila nahi kar sakti thi. Shab-o-Roz yun hi guzarte rahe. Jab Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) Silah Hudaibiya se wapas laute quraish ne Ahl-e-Islaam ko Makkah mein dakhil hone ki ijazat nahi di. Yeh khabar pure Jazeera-e-Arab me phail chuki thi keh musalmano ne dab kar musalahat ki hai. Unke hausle pispa ho chuke hai. khaybar ke yahudiyo ko jab pata chala keh musalmano mein kamzori paida ho chuki hai to unho ney Madinah munawara par hamla karne ki tayyari shuru kar di aur Gird-o-Nawah ke yahudiyo ko apni madad ke liye dawat de di. Madinah Muawwarah mein abaad munafiqin ke sardaar Abdullaah bin Ubai bin Salul ko jab is Surat-e–e-Haal ka pata chala to woh bagle bachata khaybar pahuncha aur uske zimmedaar unko bar angaikhta karte hue kaha keh ab waqt hai musalmano ki kamar me khanjar ghopne ka, Unke hausle past ho chuke hain. Tumhare paas afraadi aur barudi quwat unki nisbat kahi zayada hai. Unke paas na wafar miqdaaar mein asliha hai aur na hi itni zayaada afraadi quwwat hai. Bas kahin is waqt ko zaya nahi kar baithna. Mein tumhe khabardaar aur hoshiyaar karne aaya hun. Rasool-e-Aqdas ko jab Yahudiyon ke khaybar ki tayyari ka pata chala to aapne wahi 1400 afraad hamraah liye jo Umra karne ke liye aapke sath Makkah muazzima ke safar par rawana hue. Laikin hudaibiya mukaam se woh wapas laut aaye the. Unme khwateen bhi shamil thi. Aap hudaibiya se Zull Hajja mein wapas aaye. Aur Muharram ke ibtidai ayyaam mein Lashkar-e- ko laikar khaybar ki taraf rawana ho gaye. Jab khaybar ki basti par aapki nigaah padi to aapne Lashkar-e–e-Islam se kaha taher jao!
Aapka hukum sunte hi sab wahi taher gaye. Aapne Allah rabbul izzat ki huzur dua ki:
اللھم رب السماوات وما اظللن ورب الارضین وما اقللن، ورب الشیاطین وما اظللن، ورب الریاح وما اذرین نسالک خیر ھذہ القریۃ وخیر اھلھا ونعوذ بک، من شرھا وشر ما فیھا اقدموا باسم اللہ
Aapko jab bhi raaste mein koi basti dikhai deti to aap yeh dua padha krte the. Rasool Allah Lashkar-e-Islam ko laikar raat ke waqt khaybar pahunche. Aapne khaybar ki basti se bahar hi maidaan me padaw kiya. Rasool-e-Aqdas ka yeh Tareeq-e-Kaar tha keh jab bhi kisi qaum se nabrad azma hone ke liye Lashkar-e-Islam ki qiyadat karte hue jaate to raat Manzil-e-Maqsood par pahuch kar padaw karte. Raat ki tareaiki me aap dushman par achanak hamla nahi kiya karte the.
Lashkar-e-Islam maidaan me padaw kiye hue tha. Ahle khaybar ko pata bhi na tha. Jab woh subah ke waqt achanak apne kaam kaaj ke liye bahar nikle to Lashkar ko daikh kar hairaan rah gaye. Subah ki namaz adaa karne ke baad Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne mujahideen ko tayyari ka hukum diya. Yeh Surat-e-Haal daikh kar khaybar ke yahudi ghabraye aur Lashkar-e-Islam ko daikhte hi sar pat apne gharo ki taraf bhaage. Unhe bhagta hua daikh kar Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne Nara-e-Takbeer buland karte hue kaha:
خربت خیبر
Khaybar wiraan ho gaya. khaybar toot gaya. khaybar Tabaah-o-Barbaad ho gaya”.
Allah taala ne Lashkar-e-Islam ko Fath-o-Kamraani se hamkinara kiya. khaybar ke saare qile fatah hue Hazrat Safiyyah ka walid Huyai bin Akhtab aur khawand Kinana bin haqeeq aur deegar bhut se Yahoodi Midan-e-Jung mein qatal hoy, Kuch giraftar kar liy gaiy. Aap key Mashhoor-o-Maroof sahabi dihya Kalbi ne Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki khidmat me arz ki ke mujhe qaidiyo me se aik kaneez inayat kar dein. Aap ne faramaaya: Jao khud hi muntakhab kar lo to us ne Hazrat safyya ko apne liye muntakhab kiya.
Aik shakhs ne kaha ya Rasool Allah aapne Safiyyah Dihyah Kalbi ke supurd kar di hai. Halankeh woh aik sardaar ki beti hai. Aap agar use apne paas rakhte kahi behtar hota. Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne Dihyah Kalbi se kaha keh tum kisi dusri kaneez ka intikhaab kar lo to usne Safiyyah ke khawand Kinana bin Rabee bin Abi al Haqiq ki bahen ko apne liye muntakhab kiya.
Rasool-e-Aqdas ne Safiyyah ko azaad kiya aur us se shaadi kar li aur azaadi ko hi maher qaraar diya.
Jab Lashkar-e-Islam khaybar se wapas Madinah munawara ki jaanib rawana hua to 6 meel ke faasle par padaw kiya gaya. Khaaton-e-Jannat Umm-e-Sulaim Ansariya (رضی اللہ عنھا) ne Hazrat Safiyyah ko dulhan ke roop mein tayyar kiya. Hafiz Ibn-e-Qayyim raqam taraz hain:
ان رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اعتقھا وجعل عتقھا صداقھا
Keh Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne use azaad kar diya aur uski azaadi ko hi maher qaraar diya.
Alama zahabi apni kitaab Sira-o-Aalam-al-Nubalaa mein Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ke ausaaf bayan karte hue likhte hain:
کانت شریفۃ عاقلۃ ذات حسب وجمال ودین وکانت ذات حلم و وقار
“Woh shareef aqal mand, Khandani, Khobsurat, Deendaar. Burdbaar aur ba waqar khatoon thin.
Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne Hazrat Safiyyah ki aankh ke balayi hisse par chot ka nishaan daikha to dariyaft kiya yeh nishaan kaisa? To unho ney arz kiya: ya Rasool Allah main ney khwab me daikha keh chand meri god me aa gira. main ney yeh khwab apne khawand ko bataya to usne mere mun par zordaar thappad raseed karte hue kaha: Iska matlab hai keh tum yasrab ke badshah ko chahti ho.
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ki jab Rasool-e-Aqdas ke sath shadi hui to us waqt unki umar sirf 17 saal thi.
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah Bint-e-Huyai (رضی اللہ عنھا) ne khaybar se madine munawara tak Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki rafaqat me safar kiya. Aapke sath intihai Lutf-o-Karam ke sath pesh aaye. Farmati hain: Nain ney Rasool Allah se badh kar kisi ko Husn-e-Akhlaq ka khugar na paaya. Jab Madinah munawara mein kisi ne Lashkar-e-Islam ke aane ki ittila di to Ahl-e-Madinah Rasool-e-Aqdas ke istiqbaal ke liye nikal aaye. Musalmano ke chehre khaybar ki fatah par khushi se chamak rahe the. Munafiqin ke chehre utre hue the. Azwaaj-e-Mutaharrat gharo mein Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki amad ka shiddat se intizar kar rahi thi. Umm-ul-Mumineen Aisha Siddiqahah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ko jab pata chala keh aapne yahudi sardaar ki nau umar khubsurat beti se shaadi kar li hai to unke jazbaat mein talatum paida ho chuka tha. Niswani gairat ka dil par galba hua. Rasool-e-Aqdas ne bhi ye munasib na samjha keh Safiyyah ko laikar kisi biwi ke ghar tashareef le jaayen. Woh seedha Haris bin Nauman Ansaari ke ghar tashareef laaye aur wahi qiyaam kiya. Madinah ki khwateen ne is nayi naweli dulhan Hazrat Safiyyah Bint-e-Huyai ko usi ghar mein aa kar daikha. Jis ne bhi daikha usne taaref kalimat hi adaa kiye.
Kuch deer sastaane ke baad Hasab-e-Adat Rasool-e-Aqdas apni ladli beti Fatima al Zahra ke ghar gaye. Dono shahezado Hazrat Hasan aur Hazrat Hussain ko piyaar kiya. Phr baari baari tamam Azwaaj-e-Mutaharrat ke gharo me tashareef le gaye. Har aik ki khairiyat dariyaft ki. Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Aisha Siddiqahah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ki ankho me qadre gairat ke asaar dikahyi diye. Laikin aapne is mauzu par guftagu karne ke bajaye dar guzar karne ko hi behtar samjha. Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Aisha Siddiqahah naqab odh kar nayi naweli saukan ko daikhne ke liye Haris bin Nauman ke ghar gayi. Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne pucha Aisha kya khayal hai ye kaisi hai? Aapne Gairat-e-Nswaani ka muzahara karte hue kaha: Haan main ney is yahudi aurat ko daikh liya hai. Aapne apni chaheti biwi Aisha se kaha. Aisha iske baare mein yeh kalmat na kaho. Isne Islam qubool kar liya hai. Ab yeh Yahudi nahi rahi.
Is silsile me Hazrat Aisha Siddiqah (رضی اللہ عنھا) aur Hazrat Hafsah (رضی اللہ عنھا) dono aik dusre ki raazdaan thi. Aksar is qism ke gharelu dukh sukh me tabadla khayal kar liya karti thin.
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Aisha Siddiqah (رضی اللہ عنھا) is qism ke jazbaat ka izhaar Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ke sath intihai mohabbat aur Talluq-e-Khatir ki bana par hi kiya karti thin.
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) jab apne ghar mein mutaqil hui to unho ney Akhlaq-e-Hasna ka muzahara karte hue Azwaj-e-Mutaharrat ke sath ghul mil kar rahne ka andaaz ikhtiyaar kiya. Aapki laadli beti Fatima al Zahra se toot kar piyaar kiya. Inhe sone ki baaliya Bataur-e-Tohfa di. Is tarah sone ke zewraat jo khaybar se yeh apne hamraah laayi thi Azwaj-e-Mutaharrat mein taqseem kar diye. Unho ney Hazrat Aisha aur Hazrat Hafsah ka qurb hasil karne ki bharpur koshish ki kyunkeh unhe aitiraaf tha keh yeh dono Huzoor (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki chaheti aur Azeem-ul-Martabat biwiya hain.
Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ne aik mauqe par baat karte hue bataya keh mujhe Hazrat Hafsah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ke baare mein kisi ne bataya keh woh mujhe yahudi ki beti hone ka taana deti hai. Main ney yeh baat Rasool-e-Aqdas se Bataur-e-Shikayat arz kar di to aapne farmaya:
Tum ne use yeh kyu na kah diya keh tum mujh se behtar kaise ho sakti ho.
Suno! Mera khawand Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) mera baap Haroon (علیہ السلام) aur mera chacha Moosa (علیہ السلام) hai.
Aik dafa Hazrat Aisha Siddiqah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ke baare me chand sakht kalimaat kah diye to aapne irshaad farmaya:
Toone aaj aisi baat kah di hai keh agar yeh baat samandar mein mila di jaaye to woh bhi uske asar se kadwa ho jaaye.
Bukhari shareef mein yeh riwayat mazkur hai ken Nabi Akram (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki biwi Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) se milne ke liye Masjid-e-Nabwi mein tashareef laaye. Aap Ramzan ke akhri ashre me itikaaf baithe hue the. Taqreeban aik ghanta aap ke paas baith kar baatein kin, Phr wapas jaane ke liye uth khadi hui. Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) bhi khade ho gaye. Aap unhe alwida karne ke liye Masjid-e-Nabwi ke darwaaze tak aaye. Wahan se ansaar ke do shakhs guzre. dono ney Rasool-e-Aqdas (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ko salam arz kiya.
Apne unse farmaya thahero. Suno yeh meri biwi Safiyyah Bint-e-Huyai hai.
Dono ne kaha Subhan Allah ya Rasool Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)! Un dono par yeh baat badi giran guzri.
Nabi Akram (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne irshaad farmaya:
ان الشیطان یبلغ من ابن آدم مبلغ الدم وانی خشیت ان یقذف فی قلوبکما شیئا
Bilashuba shaitaan Ibn-e-Adam ke khoon me rach bas jaata hai. Mujhe andesha hua keh kahin tumhare dilo me koi chiz na phaink de.
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) kasrat se Quraan Hakeem ki tilawat kiya karti thi aur baaz auqaat Kahshiyat-e-Ilaahi ka unke dil par aisa asar hota keh Zaar-o-Qatar rona shuru kar deti thin. Quraan-e-Majid mein aaya hai keh haqiqi momin woh hai jinke samne jab Allah ka naam liya jaaye to unke dil kaanp jaate hain. Aur jab unke samne Quraan-e-Hakeem ki ayaat padhi jaaye to unke imaan mein azaafa ho jaata hai. Allah ka naam liya jaaye aur uske dil mein kapkapahat taari na ho. Quraan ki ayaat padhi jaaye aur lazzat mahesoos na ho to use apne imaan ki fikr karni chahiye.
Abu Nuaim Asbahani Hilyat-ul-Awliyaa mein raqmtaraz hain keh Rasool Allah ki biwi Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ke hujre mein chand Sahabah jama hue. Unho ney Allah ka zike kiya. Quraan-e-Majeed ki tilawat ki aur nawafil ada kiye. Hazrat Safiyyah ne unhe daikh kar irshaad farmaya: Tumhare nawafil, Tilawat, Zikr-e-Ilaahi sab durust laikin tumhe Khashiyat-e-Ilaahi se rona kyu nahi aata.
Dar asal unka muaqif yeh tha keh agar sahi maane mein Allah ka khauf dil mein paida ho jaaye to aankho se aansu khud ba khud bahne lagte hain aur Haqiqat bhi yahi hai keh Khashiyat-e-Ilaahi ki bina par aankhon se nikalne waale aansu insaani dil ke gusal ka bais bante hain. Yeh aansun Allah taala ke yahan bhut qeemti hote hain. Jin aankhon se nikalte hai woh aankhein jannati hain. Unhein jahannum ki aag nahi chuegi. Jis qadr dil mein riqqat, Safai, Pakeezgi aur roohaniyat hoti hai usi miqdaar mein aankho se Khuf-e-Khuda ki bina par aansu bahte hain.
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) intihai shafiq, Burdbar aur rahm dil thi. Allamah Zahabi apni kitaab Siar-o-Aalam-al-Nubalaa mein likhte hain:
Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) ki aik laundi thi usne Ameer-ul-Mumineen se shikayat lagai ki Hazrat Safiyyah hafte ke din ka ahtiraam karti hain aur yahudiyon se Silah rahemi se pesh aati hain. Hazrat Umar رضی اللہ عنہ ne aap se dariyaft kiya to aapne farmaya jab se Allah taala ne juma ke fazail se roshnash karaya hai main ney hafte ke din ka ahtiraam chod diya hai. Jahan tak yahudiyon se Silah rahmi ka talluq hai yeh baat sahi hai. Mere woh rishtidaar hain, Faqat insaani hamdardi ke Pesh-e-Nazar meim unse Silah rahmi ka rawaiyya ikhtiyaar karti hun.
Aapko pata chala keh Hazrat Umar رضی اللہ عنہ ko yeh baatein unki kaneez ne batayi hain. Aapne us se pucha tum ne aisa kyu kiya? Us ne bade hi masumana andaz mein darte hue kaha: Mujhe shaitaan ne bahaika diya tha.
Aap ne farmaya: Jao tum azaad ho.
Allah Subhan-o-Taala ne Ahl-e-Imaan ki ausaaf bayan karte hue irshaad farmaya:
وَالْكٰظِمِيْنَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِيْنَ عَنِ النَّاسِ ۭ وَاللّٰهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ
“Aur gusse ko pee jaane waley, Logo se darguzar karne waley. Allah naiki karne ko pasand karta hai”
Umm-ul-Mumineen Hazrat Safiyyah (رضی اللہ عنھا) Ilm-o-Fazal ke aitibaar se bhi bade hi buland maqaam par faiz thin. Quraan-e-Majeed ki beshtar Suratein unhen yaad thin aur Aksar-o-Beshtar tilawat karti rahti thin. Badi bharpur zindagi basar karne ke baad 50 hijri ko Duniya-e-Faani se kooch kiya aur Madinah munawara Jannat-ul-Baqee mein dafan hui. Yeh Ameer Muawiya رضی اللہ عنہ ka Daur-e-Hukumat tha. Wirse me unho ney aik lakh dirham choda, Jise unki wasiyat ke mutabik taqseem kar diya gaya.
Allah unse raazi aur yeh apne Allah se raazi

SAFIYYAH – The Mother of The Believers
By Allah, She is Truthful
She is the daughter of Huyayy bin Akhtab from the descendants of the Messenger of Allah Harun, peace be upon him. Before her acceptance of Islam, she was married to Salam bin Al Haqiq. After that Kinanah bin AI-Haqiq took her over. They were both poets of the Jews. Kinanah was killed at the battle of Khaybar and she was captured. She fell to the lot of Dihya Al Kalbi. It was said to the Prophet regarding her: “It is not fitting for her to be for anybody other than you.” So he took her away from Dihya and replaced in lieu of her seven heads (of slaves).”
Thereafter, after she became pure, the Prophet married her and made her emancipation her mahr (dowry).
Anas bin Malik R.A. narrated: “The Prophet took Safiyyah from Dihya Al-Kalbi in lieu of seven heads and then entrusted her to Umm Sulaim so that she may embellish and prepare her (for marriage). Her walimah was clarified butter, cheese and dates.” She was noble, intelligent and a woman of noble descent, beauty and pious. She was gentle and dignified.
Fervency of Her Love for the Prophet
Zayd bin Aslam said that: “When the Prophet was in his last illness (prior to his death) his wives gathered around him. Safiyyah bint Huyayy said: ‘By Allah, 0 Prophet of Allah, I wish it was I who was suffering instead of you.’ The wives of the Prophet winked at that and the Messenger of Allah looked at them and said, ‘Rinse out your mouths!‘ They said: ‘For what?’ He said: ‘Because of your winking at her. By Allah, she spoke truthfully.”‘
The Prophet’s Concern for Her
Anas R.A.’ narrated : ” We were returning with Allah’s Messenger; myself, and Abu Talhah. Safiyyah was riding behind him. His camel tripped and he fell and she fell too. Abu Talhah jumped from his horse and rushed to the Prophet. He said: “0 Prophet of Allah, are you hurt?” He said: “No, take care of the lady.” Abu Talhah drew his cloth over his face and went toward her. He threw a cloth on her and supported her on to his camel. She rode and the Prophet also rode.”
Observe this lofty manner. Abu Talhah covering his face, throwing a cloth on her so that he does not touch her directly with his hands. We are in no need of anything more than these kinds of manners at a time when manners are comatose and putrefied characters became manifest in its most base pictures and shapes.
Her Death
She died in the 50th year (of Hijrah). It is also said that
she died in the 52nd yeal’ of llijrah and it is also said that her date of death is other than that. She was buried at Al-Baqi.
