NIFAQ KA MA’ANA AUR AQSAAM:
NIFAQ KA MA’ANA: “Lughat” mein kisi cheez ke chhupane, chashm poshi karne ko kehte hain.
“Shari’at” mein Islam ka izhaar karna aur Kufr aur Shar ko chhupa kar rakhna nifaq kehlata hai.
NIFAQ KI AQSAAM:
Nifaaq ki do qismeIn hain:
- Nifaq Akbar: Aiteqadi nifaaq
- Nifaq Asghar: ‘Amli nifaaq
Iski tafseel afaadah aamah ke liye zaiyl mein darj ki jaarahi hai:
- AIteqadi Nifaq: is meIN mandarja zaiyl masaiyl hain:
(i) Aiteqaadi Nifaq ka ma’ ana – ye nifaq Akbar hai – aisa wo insaan karta hai jo Islam ka izhaar kar raha ho magar batin mein kufr ko chhupa raha ho.
(ii)Iska hukm– Nifaaq ki is qism ki wajah se deen se kulli (mukammal) tour par khurooj lazim ata hai- is nifaq ka murtakib (karne wala) Jahannum ke nichle gharhon mein rahe ga.
(iii) ISKI AQSAAM: is ki (6)chay aqsaam hain.
- A) Muhammad Rasool Allah (ﷺ) ki takzeeb karna.
- B) Muhammad Rasool Allah (ﷺ) ke lae hue deen ke baaz ajzaa ka inkaar karna.
- C) Muhammad Rasool Allah (ﷺ) se bughz rakhna.
- D) Muhammad Rasool Allah (ﷺ) ke lae hue deen ke kuchh hisson se bughz aur nafrat rakhna.
- E) Muhammad Rasool Allah (ﷺ) ke deen par gaznaz anay par khushi mehsoos karna.
- F) Muhammad Rasool Allah (ﷺ) ke deen ki nusrat ko napasand karna.
- A’MLI NIFAQ: is meIn mandarja zaiyl masaiyl hain:
A’mli Nifaq ka matlab: yani Munafiqeen ke a’maal mein se koi aml ikhtiyar karna, is tarah se keh kuchh imaan bhi dil mein baaqi rahe.
Iska Hukm: Ye insaan millat e Islam se kharij tou nahi hota, magar aisa karna haraam aur kabeerah gunah hai- aise insaan mein imaan aur nifaq dono cheezein pae jaati hain, magar jab nifaq barh jata hai tou insaan khalis munafiq ho kar rahe jata hai.
Is ki Misaalen:
- A) Baat karne mein jhoot bolna “Jab baat kare tou jhoot bole.”
- B) Wada Khilaafi “Jab wada kare tou us ke khilaaf kare.”
- C) khayanat “Jab uske paas amanat rakhi jae tou us mein khayanat kare.”
- D) Gali galoch “Jab kisi se jhagre tou galiyaan de.”
- E) Ahad Shiknee “Jab wo ahad kare tou ahad shiknee kare.”
- F) Masjid mein ba Jama’at Namaz se susti “Jab Namaz ke liye uthte hain tou intehai susti ke sath uthte hain.”
﴿وَ اِذَا قَامُوْٓا اِلَی الصَّلٰوۃِ قَامُوْا کُسَالٰی﴾[النساء:۱۴۲]
“Aur jab wo namaz ke liye khare hote hain tou susti ke sath khare hote hain.”
[Surah Nisa: 04: 142]
- G) Riya Kaari “Jab naik a’maal kare tou logon ko dikhane ke liye- Farmaan-e-Ilaahi:
یُرَآئُ وْنَ النَّاسَ﴾
[النساء: ۱۴۲]’’
“Logon ko dikhate hain.”

Nifaq “hypocrisy”
Terminology:
Munafiq “hypocrite”, Munafiqa “Female hypocrite” Munafiqoon/Munafiqeen “Male Hypocrites”, Munafiqat “Female hypocrites”.
The All-mighty Allaah says in the glorious Quran:
اَلۡمُنٰفِقُوۡنَ وَ الۡمُنٰفِقٰتُ بَعۡضُہُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡضٍ ۘ یَاۡمُرُوۡنَ بِالۡمُنۡکَرِ وَ یَنۡہَوۡنَ عَنِ الۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ وَ یَقۡبِضُوۡنَ اَیۡدِیَہُمۡ ؕ نَسُوا اللّٰہَ فَنَسِیَہُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ الۡمُنٰفِقِیۡنَ ہُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ ﴿۶۷﴾
وَعَدَ اللّٰہُ الۡمُنٰفِقِیۡنَ وَ الۡمُنٰفِقٰتِ وَ الۡکُفَّارَ نَارَ جَہَنَّمَ خٰلِدِیۡنَ فِیۡہَا ؕ ہِیَ حَسۡبُہُمۡ ۚ وَ لَعَنَہُمُ اللّٰہُ ۚ وَ لَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ مُّقِیۡمٌ ﴿ۙ۶۸﴾
[SURAH TAWBA:09: 67-68]
The hypocrites, men and women, are from one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief and polytheism of all kinds and all that Islam has forbidden), and forbid (people) from Al-Maroof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and they close their hands (from giving (spending in Allaah’s Cause) They have forgotten Allaah, so He has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allaah). Allaah has promised the hypocrites; men and women, and the disbelievers, the Fire of Hell, therein shall they abide. It will suffice them. Allah has cursed them and for them is the lasting torment.
Note:
A hypocrite is characterized by enjoining evil on people and forbidding good, which is the opposite of what a Muslim does, hypocrites are the biggest enemies of Islam, and for them will be nothing but Hell fire for eternity.

Linguistically: Hiding something and keeping it mysterious
Religiously : Showing others that one is a Muslim while hiding his disbelief.

Doctrinal Major Nifaq:
It is the Major Nifaq where the one who upholds it displays Islam and conceals infidelity or Polytheism.
The Ruling of Major Nifaq:
This type constitutes absolute apostasy, and condemns those who uphold it to the lowest level of Hell-Fire.
Types of Doctrinal Major Nifaq:
- Denying the Prophet Muhammad (Salla Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam).
- Denying some of the Prophet’s teachings.
- Hating the Messenger (Salla Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam).
- Hating some of what the Messenger (Salla Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) was sent with.
- Rejoicing over the decline of the Deen of the Messenger (Salla Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam). (Being happy that Islam is falling).
- Resenting the prevalence of the Deen of the Messenger (Salla Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam). (Hating that Islam is defeating other religions).

Practical Minor Nifaq:
That is one who possess a trait of the hypocrites while retaining faith in the heart.
The Ruling of Minor Nifaq:
This doesn’t constitute apostasy, but it is considered as a means to it. A person who upholds it combines both, faith and hypocrisy. When the latter prevails, he becomes a sheer hypocrite.
Examples of Practical Minor Nifaq:
- Telling lies.
- Breaking promises.
- Betraying entrustments.
- Behaving treacherously in a treaty.
- Behaving immorally when disputing.
- Being lazy to attend congregational prayer in the Masjid. 7. Showing off his good deeds.
The Messenger of Allaah (Salla Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said: “Four traits, whoever possesses them is a sheer hypocrite. And whoever possesses one of them would possess a trait of hypocrisy until he relinquishes it. When he is entrusted, he betrays trust, and when he speaks, he lies, when he enters into a treaty, he behaves treacherously, and when he disputes with others, he behaves immorally.” [Agreed upon]
A person, who combines these traits, has indeed combined all evil and all the traits of hypocrisy. But he who has one of them, he possesses a trait of hypocrisy. A person may possess traits of both goodness and evil, as well as Eemaan, Kufr and hypocrisy, he would deserve rewards and punishment in accordance with the traits which necessitates wither of them, such as being lazy to attend congregational prayer in the Masjid, for this is a hypocrite’s behavior. Hypocrisy is evil and very dangerous of which the Companions were scared. Ibn Abi Malikah said: “I have met thirty of the Companions of the Messenger (Sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam), all of whom were afraid of falling into hypocrisy.”
The All-mighty Allaah says in the glorious Quran:
فَلَا تُعۡجِبۡکَ اَمۡوَالُہُمۡ وَ لَاۤ اَوۡلَادُہُمۡ ؕ اِنَّمَا یُرِیۡدُ اللّٰہُ لِیُعَذِّبَہُمۡ بِہَا فِی الۡحَیٰوۃِ الدُّنۡیَا وَ تَزۡہَقَ اَنۡفُسُہُمۡ وَ ہُمۡ کٰفِرُوۡنَ ﴿۵۵﴾
وَ یَحۡلِفُوۡنَ بِاللّٰہِ اِنَّہُمۡ لَمِنۡکُمۡ ؕ وَ مَا ہُمۡ مِّنۡکُمۡ وَ لٰکِنَّہُمۡ قَوۡمٌ یَّفۡرَقُوۡنَ ﴿۵۶﴾
So let not their wealth or their children amaze you (O Muhammad); in reality Allaah’s Plan is to punish them with these things in the life of the this world, and that their souls shall depart (die) while they are disbelievers. They swear by Allaah that they are truly of you while they are not of you, but they are a people (hypocrites) who are afraid (that you may kill them).

نفاق کے معنی و اقسام
نفاق کا معنی :
لغت میں :
کسی چیز کے چھپانے اور چشم پوشی کرنے کو کہتے ہیں۔
شرع میں :
اسلام کا اظہار کرنا اور کفر اور شر کو چھپا کر رکھنانفاق کہلاتا ہے۔
نفاق کی اقسام :
نفاق کی دو قسمیں ہیں :
- نفاق اکبر
( اعتقادی نفاق۔)
2. نفاق اصغر
(عملی نفاق۔)
اس کی تفصیل افادہ عامہ کے لیے ذیل میں درج کی جار ہی ہے.
اعتقادی نفاق :
اس میں مندرجہ ذیل مسائل ہیں:
اعتقادی نفاق کا معنی :
یہ نفاق اکبر ہے۔ ایسا وہ انسان کرتا ہے جو اسلام کااظہار کررہا ہو مگر باطن میں کفر کو چھپا رہا ہو۔
اس کا حکم :
نفاق کی اس قسم کی وجہ سے دین سے کلی طور پرخروج لازم آتاہے۔ اس نفاق کا مرتکب جہنم کے نچلے گڑھوں میں رہے گا۔
اس کی اقسام :
اس کی چھ اقسام ہیں :
۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تکذیب کرنا۔
۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لائے ہوئے دین کے بعض اجزا کا انکار کرنا۔
۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بغض رکھنا۔
۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لائے ہوئے دین کے کچھ حصہ سے بغض و نفرت رکھنا۔
۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دین پر گزند آنے پرخوشی محسوس کرنا۔
۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دین کی نصرت کو نا پسند کرنا۔
عملی نفاق :
:اس میں مندرجہ ذیل مسائل ہیں
ا : عملی نفاق کا مطلب
یعنی منافقین کے اعمال میں سے کوئی عمل اختیارکرنا، اس طرح سے کہ کچھ ایمان بھی دل میں باقی رہے۔
ب: اس کاحکم
… یہ انسان ملت اسلام سے خارج تو نہیں ہوتا، مگر ایسا کرنا حرام اور کبیرہ گناہ ہے۔ ایسے انسان میں ایمان اور نفاق دونوں چیزیں پائی جاتی ہیں، مگر جب نفاق بڑھتا جاتا ہے تو انسان خالص منافق ہوکر رہ جاتا ہے۔
ج: اس کی مثالیں
۔ بات کرنے میں جھوٹ بولنا ’’ جب بات کرے تو جھوٹ بولے۔‘‘
۔ وعدہ خلافی: ’’جب وعدہ کرے تو اس کے خلاف کرے۔‘‘
۔ خیانت:’’جب اس کے پاس امانت رکھی جائے تو اس میں خیانت کرے۔‘‘
۔ گالی گلوچ:’’جب کسی سے جھگڑے تو گالیاں دے۔‘‘
۔ عہدشکنی: ’’ جب وہ عہد کرے تو عہد شکنی کرے۔‘‘
۔ مسجد میں باجماعت نماز سے سستی: ’’جب نمازکے لیے اٹھتے ہیں تو انتہائی سستی کے ساتھ اٹھتے ہیں۔‘‘
وَ اِذَا قَامُوْٓا اِلَی الصَّلٰوۃِ قَامُوْا کُسَالٰی
’’ اور جب وہ نماز کیلئے کھڑے ہوتے ہیں تو سستی کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوتے ہیں۔‘‘
[النساء:۱۴۲]
۔ ”ریاکاری:” جب نیک اعمال کرے تو لوگوں کو دیکھانے کے لیے۔فرمان الٰہی ہے.
یُرَآئُ وْنَ النَّاسَ
’’لوگوں کو دکھاتے ہیں۔”
[النساء: ۱۴۲]
