Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام
Naam-o-Nasab Aur Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام Ke Janasheen
Hafiz Ibn-e-Asaakir رحمہ اللہ ne Aap ka nasab nama is tarah bayan farmaya hai: Hazrat Suleman Bin Dawohod Bin Eisha Bin Uwaid Bin Aabir Bin Salmoon Bin Nehshoon Bin Aminazib Bin Erum Bin Hasroon Bin Faris Bin Yahood Ibn-e-Ya’aqoob Bin Is’haq Bin Ibrahim علیہم السلام.
Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام ka Badshahat-o-Hikmat neez nubuwwat mein janasheen muqarrar farmaya aur Apne Fazal-o-Karam se mazeed inaayaat kiein. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمٰنُ دَاوٗدَ وَقَالَ يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَاُوْتِيْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۭ اِنَّ ھٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِيْنُ
“Aur Suleman, Dawohod ke qaaim maqam huaye aur kehne lage keh logo! Hamein (Allah ki taraf se) parindon ki boli sikhai gai hai aur har cheez ata ki gai hai. Beshak yeh (Us ka) sareeh fazal hai.” (Al-Namal: 27/16)
Ya’ani Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام nubuwwat aur badshahat mein Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام ke waris thay. Aayat-e-Mubarika mein Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko mali wiraasat milna murad nahin. Kiyoun keh Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام ke aur bete bhi thay. To yeh mumkin nahin ke Aap aik hi bete ko sara maal de den aur doosaron ko mahroom kar den. Is ke ilawa mut’adid Sahabah Kiraam رضی اللہ عنہم se marwi hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Hamara (Anbiya’a ka) koi waris nahin hota. Ham jo choden Woh sadqa hai.” Aik riwaayat mein yeh alfaaz hein: “Ham Anbiya’a ki jama’at ka koi waris nahin hota.” (Musnad-e-Ahmad: 1/49, Wal-Bidayah Wal-Nihaya: 2/154.)
Chunancheh Anbiya-e-Kiraam علیہم السلام ka maal un ki wafaat ke ba’ad ghareebon aur mohtajon mein sadqa kar diya jata hai. Yeh un ke qareebi rishta daron ke liye makhsoos nahin hota kiyoun keh yeh un ki nazar mein duniya bilkul haqeer aur be-qadar hai jis tarah unhein mab’oos karne wale ki nazar mein yeh duniya haqeer aur zalil hai.
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne farmaya: يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ “Logo! Hamein parindon ki boli sikhai gai hai.” Ya’ani parinde jo apni apni zuban mein baten karte hein, Aap usay samajh lete thay. وَاُوْتِيْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ “Hamein sab kuch diya gaya hai.” Ya’ani Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko har Woh cheez di thi, Jis ki zaroorat mulak par hukoomat ke dauran mein mumkin hai. Ya’ani har qisam ka saman, Hathiyar, Lashkar-o-Sipah, Jinon, Insanon, Parindon aur heewanon ki jama’aten aur Ilm-o-Aqal aur tamam makhlooqat ki baton ko samjhne aur apni bat samjhane ki taqat waghera. Phir farmaya: اِنَّ ھٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِيْنُ ” Beshak yeh bilkul khula Fazal-e-Ilahi hai.
Be Misal Mulak-o-Hukoomat Ke Malik Nabi:
Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko charind, Parind, Jinon aur insanon par be misal hukamrani ata farmai thi. Aap un sab ki boli samajhte thay aur is Ne’amat-e-Rabbani par khas tor par shukar guzaar bhi thay. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمٰنَ جُنُوْدُهٗ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ وَالطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوْزَعُوْنَ 17 حَتّىٰٓ اِذَآ اَتَوْا عَلٰي وَادِ النَّمْلِ ۙ قَالَتْ نَمْــلَةٌ يّـٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوْا مَسٰكِنَكُمْ ۚ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمٰنُ وَجُنُوْدُهٗ ۙ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ 18 فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِّنْ قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ اَوْزِعْنِيْٓ اَنْ اَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِيْٓ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلٰي وَالِدَيَّ وَاَنْ اَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضٰىهُ وَاَدْخِلْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِيْ عِبَادِكَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ 19
“Aur Suleman ke liye jinon aur insanon aur parindon ke lashkar jama’a kiye gaye, So un ki alag alag darja bandi kar di gai, Yahan tak keh jab chiyoontiyon ke maidan mein pohanche to aik chiyoonti ne kaha keh aye chiyoontiyo! Apne apne bilon mein dakhil ho jao, Aisa na ho keh Suleman aur us ke lashkar tumhein kuchal dalen aur un ko khabar bhi na ho. Tab Woh us ki bat sun kara hanas pade aur kehne lage keh Aye Parwardigaar! Mujhe tofeeq ata farma keh jo ahsanaat tu ne mujh par aur mere maan bap par kiye hein, Un ka shukar karon aur aise naik kam karon keh tu un se khush ho jaye aur mujhe Apni rahmat se Apne naik bandon mein dakhil farma.” (Al-Namal: 27/17-19)
Aik din Suleman علیہ السلام ne jinon aur insanon aur parindon par mushtamilat apni tamam afwaaj ko jama’a kiya aur kisi manzil ki taraf rawana huaye. Parindon ne apne paron se Aap par saya kar rakha tha. Har lashkar par chote bade safsar muqarrar thay jo tamam afraad ko apne apne maqam par rakhte thay. Jab woh chiyontiyon ke maidan mein pohanche to aik chiyonti ne kaha:
يّـٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوْا مَسٰكِنَكُمْ ۚ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمٰنُ وَجُنُوْدُهٗ ۙ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ
“Aye chiyontiyo! Apne apne gharon mein ghus jao! Aisa na ho keh be khabri mein Suleman aur un ka lashkar tumhein rond dale.
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne chiyonti ki aawaz sun li aur jo bat us ne doosri chiyontiyon se kahi thi, Samajh li. Aap yeh bat sun kar muskara diye jo doosre na sun sake. Ba’az logon ka yeh khayal ghalat hai keh Harat Suleman se pehle janwar aur insan aik dosare se bat cheet karte aur aik dosare ki zuban samajhte thay. Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne un se wa’ada le liya keh woh isanon se bat nahin karen gay. Is liye ab hum un ki baten nahin samajh sakte. Yeh sab jahilon ke khayalaat hein. Agar yeh bat durust hoti keh sab log janwaron ki boliyan samajhte hote to Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko dosron par koi imtiyaz hasil na hota. Ilawa azeen Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko janwaron se wa’ada le ke kaya faida hasil ho sakta tha keh janwar insanon se bat cheet na karen. Isi imtiyaz hi ki wajah se Aap ne farmaya:
رَبِّ اَوْزِعْنِيْٓ اَنْ اَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِيْٓ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلٰي وَالِدَيَّ وَاَنْ اَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضٰىهُ وَاَدْخِلْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِيْ عِبَادِكَ الصّٰلِحِيْن
“Aye Parwardigaar! Mujhe tufeeq de keh main teri un ne’amaton ka shukar baja laaon jo tu ne mujhe aur mere walidaon ko ata farmai hein aur (mujhe tufeeq de keh) main aise naik a’amaal karta rahon jin se tu khush rahe aur mujhe Apne naik bandon mein shamil kar le.
AllahT’aala ne Aap ki dua yaqinan qabool farma li. Walidain mein Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke walid Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام aur walida jo aik ibaadat guzaar naik khatoon thien, Shamil hein.
Hud Hud Aur Malika-e-Bilqees Ka Waqia
Hazrat Suleman علی السلام ke Lashkar-e-Jarraar mein hud hud ki deuty aik engenier ki si thi . Aik roz Hud Hud Ba’waqat-e-Haziri gher hazir huwa to Hazrat Suleman sakhat naraz huaye magar Hud Hud aik aisi khabar laya jis se Allah ke Nabi bhi be khabar thay, Lihaza us ki gher haziri ka nihayat ma’aqool uzar hone ki wajah se us ka qasoor Qabil-e-Maafi tasleem kar liya gaya.
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَآ اَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ ڮ اَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَاۗىِٕـبِيْنَ 20 لَاُعَذِّبَنَّهٗ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا اَوْ لَاَاذْبَحَنَّهٗٓ اَوْ لَيَاْتِيَنِّيْ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍ 21 فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيْدٍ فَقَالَ اَحَطْتُّ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَاٍۢ بِنَبَاٍ يَّقِيْنٍ 22 اِنِّىْ وَجَدْتُّ امْرَاَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَاُوْتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّ لَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيْمٌ 23 وَجَدْتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيْلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ 24ۙ اَلَّا يَسْجُدُوْا لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُوْنَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُوْنَ 25 اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ 26۞ قَالَ سَنَنْظُرُ اَ
30ۙ اَلَّا تَعْلُوْا عَلَيَّ وَاْتُوْنِيْ مُسْلِمِيْنَ 31ۧ قَالَتْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اَفْتُوْنِيْ فِيْٓ اَمْرِيْ ۚ مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً اَمْرًا حَتّٰى تَشْهَدُوْنِ 32 قَالُوْا نَحْنُ اُولُوْا قُوَّةٍ وَّاُولُوْا بَاْسٍ شَدِيْدٍ ڏ وَّالْاَمْرُ اِلَيْكِ فَانْظُرِيْ مَاذَا تَاْمُرِيْنَ 33 قَالَتْ اِنَّ الْمُلُوْكَ اِذَا دَخَلُوْا قَرْيَةً اَفْسَدُوْهَا وَجَعَلُوْٓا اَعِزَّةَ اَهْلِهَآ اَذِلَّةً ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُوْنَ 34 وَاِنِّىْ مُرْسِلَةٌ اِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنٰظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ 35 فَلَمَّا جَاۗءَ سُلَيْمٰنَ قَالَ اَتُمِدُّوْنَنِ بِمَالٍ ۡفَمَآ اٰتٰىـنِۦ اللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّآ اٰتٰىكُمْ ۚ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُوْنَ 36 اِرْجِعْ اِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَاْتِيَنَّهُمْ بِجُنُوْدٍ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِّنْهَآ اَذِلَّةً وَّهُمْ صٰغِرُوْنَ 37
“Unhon ne janwaron (parindon) ka jaiza liya to kehne lage: Kaya sabab hai keh hud hud nazar nahin aata? Kaya kahin ghaib ho gaya hai? Mein usay sakhat saza don ga ya usay zibah kar dalon ga ya mere samne (apni be qasori ki) Daleel-e-Sareeh paish kare. Abhi thodi hi der hui thi keh hud hud aa mojood huwa aur kehne laga keh mujhe aik aisi cheez ma’aloom hui hai jis ki Aap ko khabar nahin aur mein Aap ke pas (shehar) Saba se aik sachi khabar le kar aaya hon. Mein ne aik aurat dekhi keh un logon par badshahat karti hai aur har cheez usaye muyassar hai aur us ka aik bada takhat hai. Mein ne dekha keh Woh aur us ki qoam Allah ko chod kar sooraj ko sajda karte hein aur shetan ne un ke a’amaal unhein aarasta kar dikhaye hein aur un ko (seedhe) raste se rok rakha hai. Pas Woh raste par nahin aate (aur nahin samajhte) keh Allah ko kiyoun na sajda karen jo aasmanon aur zameen mein chupi cheezon ko zahir kar deta hai aur tumhare posheeda aur zahir a’amaal ko janta hai. Allah ke siwa koi ibaadat ke laaiq nahin, Wahi Arash-e-Azeem ka malik hai. Suleman ne kaha: (acha) ham dekhen gay keh tu ne sach kaha hai ya jhoota hai. Yeh mera khat le ja aur usay un ki taraf daal de, Phir un ke pas loat aa aur dekh keh Woh kaya jawab dete hein. Malika ne kaha keh darbar walo! Meri taraf aik garafi nama dala gaya hai, Woh Suleman ki taraf se hai aur (us ka mazmoon) yeh hai: Shuru Allah ka naam le kar jo bada meharban, Nihaayat raham wala hai. (Ba’ad is ke yeh) keh mujh se sarkashi na karo aur Mutee-o-Farmanbardar ho kar mere pas chale jao. (Khat suna kar) kehne lagi keh aye Ahal-e-Darbaar! Mere is moamle mein mujhe mashwarah do! Jab tak tum hazir na ho (aur salah na do) mein kisi kam ka fesla karne wali nahin. Woh bole keh ham bade zor aawar aur sakhat jangju hein aur hukam aap ke ikhtiyar mein hai to jo hukam dijiye ga (us ke anjam par) nazar kar lijiye ga. Us ne kaha keh badshah jab kisi shehar mein dakhil hote hein to us ko tabah kar dete hein aur wahan ke izat walon ko zalil kar dete hein aur isi tarah yeh bhi karen gay mein un ki taraf kuch tohfa bhejti hon aur dekhti hon keh qasid kaya jawab late hein. Jab Woh (qasid) Suleman ke pas pohancha to Suleman ne kaha: Kya tum mujhe maal se madad dena chahte ho. Jo kuch Allah T’aala ne mujhe ata farmaya hai us se behtar hai jo tumhein diya hai. Haqiqat yeh hai keh tum hi apne tohfe se khush hote ho gay. Us ke pas wapis jao. Ham un par aise lashkar se hamla karen gay jis ke muqable ki un ko taqat na ho gi. Aur un ko wahan se be-izat kar ke nikaal den gay aur Woh zalil hon gay.” (Al-Namal: 27/20-37)
In aayaat mein Allah T’aala ne Suleman علیہ السلام aur hud hud ka waqia bayan kiya hai. Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki foaj ke tamam parindon ke apne apne leader aur kamaandar thay jo rozana apne apne waqat par Aap ki khidmat mein hazir hote thay. Hud hud ka Faraz-e-Mansabi yeh tha keh safar ke dauran mein kisi banjar maqam par pani zaroorat mahsoos hoti to Woh batata tha keh kahan khudai karne par pani mil sakta hai. Us ke batane par khudai kar ke pani hasil kar lete thay. Aik din Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne hud hud ko hazir hone ka hukam diya to ma’aloom huwa keh Woh apne maqam par mojood nahin. Aap ne farmaya: مَا لِيَ لَآ اَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ ڮ اَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَاۗىِٕـبِيْنَ 20 لَاُعَذِّبَنَّهٗ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا اَوْ لَاَاذْبَحَنَّهٗٓ اَوْ لَيَاْتِيَنِّيْ بِسُلْطٰنٍ مُّبِيْنٍ 21 ” Kaya bat hai? Mein hud hud ko nahin dekhta ya Woh waqai gher hazir hai? Yaqinan mein usay sakhat saza don ga ya usay zibah kar dalon ga ya Woh mere samne koi sareeh dalil bayan kare.”
Aurat Ki Hukamrani Ka Masla:
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne hud hud ki bila itla’a gher haziri par narazi ka izhaar farmate huaye usay sakhat saza dene ya zibah kar dene ka fesla suna diya taham hud hud jalad hi Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke darbaar mein hazir ho gaya aur araz ki: اَحَطْتُّ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَاٍۢ بِنَبَاٍ يَّقِيْنٍ 22 اِنِّىْ وَجَدْتُّ امْرَاَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَاُوْتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّ لَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيْمٌ 23 ” Mein aik aisi chez ki khabar laya hon jis ka ilam Aap ko nahin. Mein Saba ki aik sachi khabar Aap ke pas laya hon. Mein ne dekha keh un par badshahat aik aurat kar rahi hai jise har cheez se kuch na kuch diya gaya hai aur us ka azmat wala aik takhat bhi hai.”
Hud hud ne Hazrat Suleman ko Malika-e-Saba ki saltanat ke bare mein bataya. Yeh saltanat yaman mein thi. Hazrat Suleman ke zamane mein us ki hukamran shahi khandan ki aik aurat thi kiyoun keh sabiq badshah ka koi beta nahin jo badshah ban sakta.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh jab Nabi Kareem صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ko Iran ki hukoomat par aik aurat ke faaiz hone hone ki khabar mili to Aap صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Woh qoam kabhi falah nahin paye gi jis ne aurat ko hukamran bana liya.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Maghazi, Baab-o-Kitab-e-Al Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم Ila Kisra wa Qaisar, Hadees: 4425.)
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai: وَاُوْتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ka matlab yeh hai keh ” Jise har cheez se kuch na kuch diya gaya hai.” Usay har Woh cheez mili hai jo badshahon ke pas huwa karti hai. وَّ لَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيْمٌ “Aur us ka takhat bhi badi azmat wala hai.” Us ke takhat mein tarah tarah ke heere jawaahiraat aur moti lage huaye thay aur Woh sone se muzayyan tha.
Phir hud hud ne bataya keh Woh Allah ke sath kufar karne wale log hein. Allah ko chod kar sooraj ko poojte hein. Shetan ne unhein us Allah se door kar diya hai Jo aasmanon aur zameen mein se chupi hui ashya’a nikalta hai aur Woh hissi aur ma’anwi tamam zahri aur posheeda ashya’a se khoob waqif hai.اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ ” Us ke siwa koi Ma’abood-e-Bar’haq nahin, Wahi azmat wale arash ka malik hai.” Ya’ani us ka takhat itna bada hai keh makhlooqaat mein se koi cheez us se badi nahi.
Malika Bilqees Ko Daawat-e-Tauheed:
Us waqat Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne khat bheja jis mein Allah aur us ke Rasool ki ita’at ki da’awat di gai thi aur Aap ki ita’at qabool karne ka hukam tha. Isi liye farmaya: اَلَّا تَعْلُوْا عَلَيَّ ” Tum mere samne sarkashi na karo!” Balkeh mere hukam ki ta’ameel karo. وَاْتُوْنِيْ مُسْلِمِيْنَ ” Aur musalman ban kar mere pas aa jao!”
Us ne padha aur wazeeron masheeron ko talab kar liya takeh us khat ke bare mein mashwarah kare. Us ne unhein Soorat-e-Hal ki khabar dete huaye kaha اِنِّىْٓ اُلْقِيَ اِلَيَّ كِتٰبٌ كَرِيْمٌ ” Meri taraf aik garami nama dala gaya hai.”
Phir khat bhejne wale ka pata bataya: اِنَّهٗ مِنْ سُلَيْمٰنَ ” Woh Suleman ki taraf se hai.” Phir khat ka mazmoon padh kar sunaya: وَاِنَّهٗ بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ 30ۙ اَلَّا تَعْلُوْا عَلَيَّ وَاْتُوْنِيْ مُسْلِمِيْنَ 31ۧ ” Woh bakhshish karne walae meharban Allah ke naam se shuru hai. Yeh keh tum mere samne sarkashi na karo aur musalman ban kar mere pas aa jao.”
Phir un se mashwara karte huaye boli: قَالَتْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اَفْتُوْنِيْ فِيْٓ اَمْرِيْ ۚ مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً اَمْرًا حَتّٰى تَشْهَدُوْنِ 32 ” Aye mere sardao! Tum mere is moamle mein mashwara do. Mein kisi amar ka qata’i fesla nahin kiya karti jab tak tumhari mojoodgi aur raaye na ho.”
Unhon ne kaha: نَحْنُ اُولُوْا قُوَّةٍ وَّاُولُوْا بَاْسٍ شَدِيْدٍ ڏ وَّالْاَمْرُ اِلَيْكِ فَانْظُرِيْ مَاذَا تَاْمُرِيْنَ 33 “(Agar Aap Ko jang karne ke liye foaj ki zaroorat hai to ham yeh fareeza anjam dene ke liye pori tarah tayyar hein, Taham aakhari fesla aap hi ka ho ga. Aap khud hi soch liiye keh hamein aap kaya hukam farmaein gi.”
Taham us ki raaye sardaron ki raaye se behtar thi aur Woh aqal mein un se bartar thi, Usay ma’aloom ho gaya keh is andaz se khat bhejne wale ka muqabla karna ya usay dhoka dena mumkin nahi. Us ne kaha: اِنَّ الْمُلُوْكَ اِذَا دَخَلُوْا قَرْيَةً اَفْسَدُوْهَا وَجَعَلُوْٓا اَعِزَّةَ اَهْلِهَآ اَذِلَّةً ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُوْنَ “Badshah jab kisi basti mein ghuste hein to usay ujaad dete hein aur wahan ke ba’izat logon ko zalil kar dete hein aur yeh log bhi aisa hi karen gay.” Us ne kaha keh agar yeh badshah hamare mulk par ghalib aa gaya to us ke Ghaiz-o-Ghazab ka nishana sab se pehle mein hi banon gi. Is liye:وَاِنِّىْ مُرْسِلَةٌ اِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنٰظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ ” Mein unhein aik hadiya bhejne wali hon, Phir dekh lon gi keh qasid kaya jawab le ke lotate hein.”
Us ka khayal tha keh Woh Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko rishwat de kar unhein khush kar de gi aur is tarah apni saltanat bacha le gi. Usay ma’aloom na tha keh Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام aik Nabi hein jo kufar ke sath musalahat ikhtiyar nahin kar sakte. Pas jab qasid Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke pas pohancha to Aap ne farmaya:اَتُمِدُّوْنَنِ بِمَالٍ ۡفَمَآ اٰتٰىـنِۦ اللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّآ اٰتٰىكُمْ ۚ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُوْنَ ” Kaya tum mujhe maal se madad dena chahte ho? Mujhe to mere Rab ne is se bahut behtar de rakha hai jo us ne tumhein diya hai. Pas tum hi apne tohfe ke sath khush raho. Tab Aap ne us ke safeer se farmaya: اِرْجِعْ اِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَاْتِيَنَّهُمْ بِجُنُوْدٍ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِّنْهَآ اَذِلَّةً وَّهُمْ صٰغِرُوْنَ “Ja! Un ke pas loat ja (aur unhein mar’oob karne ke liye farmaya) ham un (ke muqabla) mein Woh lashkar laayein gay jin ka muqabala karne ki un mein taaqat nahin aur ham unhein Zalil-o-Pasat kar ke wahan se nikaal dein gay.”
Jab qasid is qadar shakhat jawable kar wapis pohancha to unhein ita’at qabool karne ke siwa koi charah nazar na aaya, Chunancheh Woh Malika samet Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki khidmat mein hazir ho kar Izhar-e-Ita’at karne ke liye rawanah ho gaye. Jab Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko yeh itla’a mili to Woh apne farmanbardaar jinon se mukhatib huaye:
قَالَ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اَيُّكُمْ يَاْتِيْنِيْ بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّاْتُوْنِيْ مُسْلِمِيْنَ 38 قَالَ عِفْرِيْتٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ مِنْ مَّقَامِكَ ۚ وَاِنِّىْ عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيٌّ اَمِيْنٌ 39 قَالَ الَّذِيْ عِنْدَهٗ عِلْمٌ مِّنَ الْكِتٰبِ اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ يَّرْتَدَّ اِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ ۭ فَلَمَّا رَاٰهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِنْدَهٗ قَالَ ھٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّيْ ڷ لِيَبْلُوَنِيْٓ ءَاَشْكُرُ اَمْ اَكْفُرُ ۭ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَاِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَاِنَّ رَبِّيْ غَنِيٌّ كَرِيْمٌ 40 قَالَ نَكِّرُوْا لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنْظُرْ اَتَهْتَدِيْٓ اَمْ تَكُوْنُ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ 41 فَلَمَّا جَاۗءَتْ قِيْلَ اَهٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۭ قَالَتْ كَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ ۚ وَاُوْتِيْنَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِيْنَ 42 وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَّعْبُدُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۭ اِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ كٰفِرِيْنَ 43 قِيْلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِي الصَّرْحَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَاَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَّكَشَفَتْ عَنْ سَاقَيْهَا ۭ قَالَ اِنَّهٗ صَرْحٌ مُّمَرَّدٌ مِّنْ قَوَارِيْرَ ڛ قَالَتْ رَبِّ اِنِّىْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ وَاَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمٰنَ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ 44ۧ
“Aye darbaar walo! Koi tum mein se aisa hai keh qabal is ke keh Woh log farmanbardaar ho kar hamare pas aaein, Malika-e-Saba ka takhat mere pas le aaye? Jinnnaat mein se aik qawi hekal jin ne kaha: Qabal is ke keh Aap apni jagah se uthein mein us ko Aap ke pas laa hazir karta hon aur mein us (ke uthane) ki taaqat rakhta hon (aur) amaanat daar hon. Aik shakhas, Jis ko kitab-e-Ilahi ka ilam tha, Kehne laga keh mein Aap ki aankh ke jhapakne se pehle pehle usay Aap ke pas hazir kiye deta hon. Jab Suleman ne takhat ko apne pas rakha huwa dekha to kaha keh yeh mere Parwardigaar ka fazal hai takeh mujhe aazmaye keh mein shukar karta hon ya Kufran-e-Ne’amat karta hon aur jo shukar karta hai to apne hi faide ke liye shukar karta hai aur jo na shukri karta hai to mera Parwardigaar be-parwah (aur) karam karne wala hai. Suleman ne kaha keh malika ke (Imtihan-e-Aqal ke) liye is takhat ki soorat badal do takeh dekhen keh Woh soojh rakhti hai ya un logon mein se hai jo soojh nahin rakhti. Jab Woh aa pohanchi to pocha gaya keh kaya aap ka takhat bhi isi tarah ka hai? Us ne kaha: Goya yeh wahi hai aur ham ko is se pehle hi (Suleman ki Azmat-o-Shan ka) ilm ho gaya tha aur ham farmanbardaar hein. Aur Woh jo Allah ke siwa (aur ki) parastish karti thi, Suleman ne us ko us se mana’a kiya (is se pehle to) Woh kafiron mein se thi (phir) us se kaha gaya keh mahal mein chaliye. Jab us ne us (ke farash) ko dekha to usay pani ka hoaz samjha aur (kapda utha kar) apni pindliyan khol dien. (Suleman ne) kaha yeh aisa mahal hai jis mein (niche bhi) sheeshe jude huaye hein. Aur Woh bol uthi keh Parwrdigaar! Mein apne aap par zulm karti rahi thi aur ab mein Suleman ke hath par Rab-ul-Aalameen par iman lati hon. (Al-Namal: 27/38-44)
Jab Suleman علیہ السلام ne apne darbari jinon ko hukam diya keh Bilqees ke pohanchane se pehle us ka Woh takhat hazir kar dein. Jis par Woh beth kar darbaar lagati hai to aik qawi hekal jin kehne laga: اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ مِنْ مَّقَامِكَ ” Aap ke apni majlis se uthne se pehle hi mein usay aap ke pas la deta hon.” Aap aham moamlaat par ghor karne ke liye aur muqadmaat par fesle karne ke liye subah se dopehar tak darbaar mun’aqid karte thay. Us ne kaha: Mein yeh zimadari ada karne ki taaqat rakhta hon. وَاِنِّىْ عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيٌّ اَمِيْنٌ “Yaqeen maniye keh mein is par qadir hon aur hon bhi amaanat daar.” Takhat ke jawahiraat mein khiyanat nahin karon ga. Darbaar mein mojood aik momin jin ne araz ki: اَنَا اٰتِيْكَ بِهٖ قَبْلَ اَنْ تَقُوْمَ مِنْ مَّقَامِكَ ” Mein Aap ke palak jhapakne se pehle hi usay Aap ke pas pohancha sakta hon.” Aur waqai Bilqees ka takhat thori der mein Yaman se Bait-ul-Maqdas pohanch gaya. Jab Aap ne usay apne pas mojood paya to farmane lage: ھٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّيْ ڷ لِيَبْلُوَنِيْٓ ءَاَشْكُرُ اَمْ اَكْفُرُ ۭ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَاِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَاِنَّ رَبِّيْ غَنِيٌّ كَرِيْمٌ 40 ” Yeh mere Rab ka fazal hai keh Woh muhe aazmaye keh mein shukar guzari karta hon ya na shukri. Shukar guzaar apne hi nafa’a ke liye shukar guzari karta hai aur jo na shukri kare to mera Parwardigaar be-parwah aur bazurag hai.”
Usay na shukar karne walo ke shukar ki zaroorat hai na kafironki na shukri se us ka kuch bigadta hai.
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne hukam diya keh takhat ki aaraish mein tabdeeli kar di jaye takeh Bilqees ki Aqal-o-Faham ka andaza ho sake. “hukam diya keh us ke takhat mein kuch tabdeeli kar do! Takeh Hamein ma’aloom ho jaye keh yeh rah paa leti hai ya un mein se hoti hai jo rah nahin pate.” Jab Woh aa gai to us se kaha gaya: اَهٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۭ قَالَتْ كَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ ” Kaya tera takhat bhi aisa hi hai? Us ne jawab diya: “Goya yeh wahi hai.”
Malika Bilqees ke khayal mein yeh takhat us ka nahin ho sakta tha kiyoun keh Woh to usay Yaman mein chod aai thi. (Aur phir us ki sajaawat mein bhi tabdeeli kar di gai thi.) Woh nahin samajhti thi keh koi aur bhi aisi Ajeeb-o-Ghareeb karigari aur hunar mandi ka muzahara kar sakta hai.
Allah T’aala ne Suleman aur unki qoam ki bat naqal farmai: وَاُوْتِيْنَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِيْنَ ” Hamein is se pehle ilm diya gaya tha aur ham musalman thay.” Is ke ba’ad farmaya: وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَّعْبُدُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۭ اِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ كٰفِرِيْنَ ” Usay (Suleman علیہ السلام ne) us se rok diya jo Woh Allah ke siwa (sooraj ki) pooja karti thi. Yaqinan Woh kafir logon mein se thi.” Ya’ani malika aur us ki qoam bila daleel siraf Aaba-o-Ajdaad ki taqleed karte huaye aaftab parasti mein mubtila thay. Is liye Hazrat Suleman ne usaye is se mana’a kar diya.
Hazrat Suleman علیہالسلام ne shafaaf sheeshe ka aik mahal ta’ameer karwaya tha. Us ke niche pani behta tha aur pani par sheeshe ki chat thi. Us pani mein machliyan aur doosare aabi janwar rakhe gaye thay. Jab Malika Bilqees wahan pohanchi to us se kaha gaya mahal mein tahreef le chaliye jahan Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام takhat par ronaq afroz thay. Usay dekh kar Woh samjhi keh yeh hoaz hai. Us ne apni pindliyan khol dien. Farmaya yeh to sheeshe se mandhi hui aik imaarat hai. Kehne lagi: رَبِّ اِنِّىْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ وَاَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمٰنَ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ 44ۧ ” Mere Parwarigaar! Mein ne apni jan par zulam kiya, Ab mein Suleman ke sath Rab-ul-Aalameen ki farmanbardaar banti hon.”
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام Ka Allah Ke Han Maqam-o-Martabah Aur Bait-Ul-Maqdas Ki Ta’ameer:
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوٗدَ سُلَيْمٰنَ ۭ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ ۭ اِنَّهٗٓ اَوَّابٌ 30ۭاِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَشِيِّ الصّٰفِنٰتُ الْجِيَادُ 31ۙفَقَالَ اِنِّىْٓ اَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ الْخَيْرِ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّيْ ۚ حَتّٰى تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ 32۪رُدُّوْهَا عَلَيَّ ۭ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًۢا بِالسُّوْقِ وَالْاَعْنَاقِ 33وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمٰنَ وَاَلْقَيْنَا عَلٰي كُرْسِيِّهٖ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ اَنَابَ 34قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَهَبْ لِيْ مُلْكًا لَّا يَنْۢبَغِيْ لِاَحَدٍ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِيْ ۚ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ 35فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيْحَ تَجْرِيْ بِاَمْرِهٖ رُخَاۗءً حَيْثُ اَصَابَ 36ۙوَالشَّيٰطِيْنَ كُلَّ بَنَّاۗءٍ وَّغَوَّاصٍ 37ۙوَّاٰخَرِيْنَ مُقَرَّنِيْنَ فِي الْاَصْفَادِ 38ھٰذَا عَطَاۗؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ اَوْ اَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ 3٩وَاِنَّ لَهٗ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفٰى وَحُسْنَ مَاٰبٍ 40ۧ
“Aur Ham ne Dawohod ko Suleman ata kiye. Bahut khoob bande (thay aur) Woh (Allah ki taraf) rujoo’a karne wale thay. Jab un ke samne sham ko khase ke ghode paish kiye gaye to kehne lage keh mein ne apne Parwardigaar ki yad se (ghafil ho kar) maal ki muhabbat ikhtiyar ki. Yahan tak keh (aaftab) parde mein chup gaya (bole keh) un ko mere pas wapis le aao, Phir un ki tangon aur gardanon par hath pherne lage. Aur ham ne Suleman ki aazmaish ki aur un ke takhat par aik dhad daal diya. Phir unhon ne Allah ki taraf rujoo’a kiya (aur) dua ki keh Aye Parwardigaar! Mujhe maaf farma aur mujh ko aisi badshahi ata farma keh mere ba’ad kisi ke laaiq na ho. Beshak tu bada ata karne wala hai. Phir ham ne hawa ko un ke Zer-e-Farman kar diya jahan Woh pohanchana chahte un ke hukam se naram naram chalne lagti. Aur deyowohn (jinnaat) ko bhi (un ke Zer-e-Darman kar diya) Woh sab imaarten banane wale aur ghotah marne wale thay aur auron ko bhi jo zanjeeron mein jakde huaye thay (Ham ne kaha) yeh hamari bakhshish hai. (chaho to) ahsan karo ya (chaho to) rakh chodo (tum se) kuch muhasibah nahin hai. Aur beshak un ke liye hamare han qurab aur umdah maqam hai.” (Saad: 38/30-40)
Aik sham Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki khidmat mein umdah nasal ke ghode paish kiye gaye. Aap un ke moainah mein is qadar mashghool ho gaye keh asar ki namaz ka waqat guzar gaya,, Taham Aap ne namaz qasdan qaza nahin ki thi. Yeh bhi mumkin hai keh Aap ki shari’at mein aise uzar ki wajah se namaz mein takheer jaaiz ho.
Ba’az ulama’a ne aayat ki tashreeh is tarah ki hai keh Aap ne ghode dodaye, Jab nazron se ujhal ho gaye to farmaya: “Unhein wapis laao!” Phir un ki pindaliyon aur gardanon par shafqat se hath pherne lage.
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمٰنَ وَاَلْقَيْنَا عَلٰي كُرْسِيِّهٖ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ اَنَابَ 34
“Aur ham ne Suleman ki aazmaish ki aur un ke takhat par aik jisam daal diya, Phir unhon ne rujoo’ kiya.”
Mufassireen ne is maqam par bahut si hikayaat bayan ki hein jo zayada tar Ahal-e-Kitab se makhooz hein. Un ka khulasa jaise keh Ibn-e-Jareer رحمہ اللہ ne bayan kiya hai, Kuch yoon hai keh Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام apne takhat se chalees din ghaib rahe. Phir wapis aaye to Bat-ul-Maqdas ki ta’ameer ka hukam diya. Aap ne us ki imaarat bahut khubsurat banwai. Sahih bat yeh hai keh Bait-ul-Maqdas ko Hazrat Ya’aqoob علیہالسلام ne ta’ameer karwaya tha, Albattah Hazrat Suleman ne usay dobarah ta’ameer farmaya.
Hazrat Abu Zar رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai, Unhon ne farmaya: Mein ne kaha: Allah ke Rasool صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! Sab se pehle kon si masjid bani? Aap صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Masjid-e-Haraam” Mein ne kaha: Us ke ba’ad? Farmaya: “Bait-ul-Maqdas ki masjid” “Mein ne kaha: in donon ke darmiyan mein kitni mudat hai ?” farmaya: “Chalees saal” (Sahihul-Bukhari, Ahadees-ul-Anbiya’a, Hadees: 3366, wa Sahih Muslim, Al-Masajid, Baab-ul-Masajid wa Mawazi-ul-Salati. Hadees: 520, wa Musnad-e-Ahmad: 5/150.)
Yeh bat wazahat ki mohtaj nahin keh Hazrat Ibrahim علیہ السلام aur Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke darmiyan chalees saal ka nahin balkeh hazar saal se zayada ka waqfah hai aur Aap ne jo dua ki thi keh mujh jesi hukoomat kisi aur ko na mile, Woh Bait-ul-Maqdas ki (dobarah) ta’ameer ke ba’ad ki hai.
Hazrat Abdullah Bin Amar رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Jab Suleman علیہ السلام ne Bait-ul-Maqdas ta’ameer kar liya to Allah se teen duaen kien. Un ki do duaen qabool ho gaien aur teesari qabool nahin hui. Umeed hai keh Woh teesar ne’amat hamein (Umat-e-Muhammadiya ko) mile gi. Aap ne Allah se dua ki thi keh Aap ke fesale (haq par mabni aur) Allah ke fesalon ke mutabiq hon. Allah ne yeh cheez de di. Aap ne dua ki keh Aap ko aisi hukoomat mile jo kisi aur ke laaiq na ho. Allah ne yeh cheez bhi ata farmai. Aap ne dua ki keh jo shakhas ghar se sirf is masjid mein namaz ke iradah se rawana ho, Woh gunahon se is tarah pak ho jaye jis tarah apni maan se peda hote waqat (gunahon se pak) tha. Hamein umeed hai keh Allah ne yeh dua hamare haq mein qabool farma li hai.” (Musnad-e-Ahmad: 2/176, Sunan Al-Nasai, Al-Masajid, Fazl-ul-Masjid-e-Al Aqsa wal Salati fihi, Hadees: 694.)
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام Ke Shkaar Fesale
Allah T’aala ne Quraan mein Aap ki aur Aap ke walid ki tareef mein un ke fesale ka zikar farmaya hai. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَدَاوٗدَ وَسُلَيْمٰنَ اِذْ يَحْكُمٰنِ فِي الْحَرْثِ اِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيْهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ ۚ وَكُنَّا لِحُـكْمِهِمْ شٰهِدِيْنَ 78ڎ فَفَهَّمْنٰهَا سُلَيْمٰنَ ۚ وَكُلًّا اٰتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَّعِلْمًا ۡ وَّسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوٗدَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ ۭ وَكُنَّا فٰعِلِيْنَ 79
” Aur Dawohod aur Suleman (ka haal bhi sun lo keh) jab Woh aik kheti ke muqadma ka fesla karne lage jis mein kuch logon ki bakriyan raat char gai thien (aur usay rond gai thien) aur ham un ke fesle ke waqat mojood thay to ham ne fesla (karne ka tareeq) Suleman ko samjha diya aur ham ne donon ko hukam ya’ani Hikmat-o-Nubuwwat aur ilm bakhsha tha.” (Al-Anbiya’a: 21/78-79)
Qazi Suraih رحمہ اللہ aur deegar hazraat ne bayan kiya hai keh un logon ka angooron ka bagh tha. Doosare logon ki bakriyan raat ko bagh mein aa gaien aur usay nuqsan pohanchaya. Unhon ne Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام ke samne muqadma paish kiya. Aap ne fesla diya keh bagh walon ko nuqsan ke mutabiq raqam ada ki jaye. Fareeqen wahan se nikle to Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام se mulaqat ho gai. Unhon ne kaha: “Allah ke Nabi (Dawohod) ne tumhara kaya fesla kiya hai” Unhon ne bataya. Aap ne farmaya: “Agar mein hota to yeh fesla karta keh bakriyan bagh walon ke hawale ki jaein, Woh un ke doodh waghera se faida uthaein aur bakriyon wale bagh ko durust kar ke wesa hi kar dein jaisa Woh pehle tha. Tab apni bakriyan wapis le lein. Jab Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام tak yeh khabar pohanchi to unhon ne yehi fesla nafiz farma diya.
Isi tarah ka aik waqia Sahiheen mein Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ se marwi hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Do auraton ke pas aik aik bacha tha. Bhediye ne hamla kiya aur aik aurat ka bacha le gaya. Badi ne kaha: Woh tera bacha le gaya hai. Choti ne kaha: Woh tera bacha le gaya hai. Hazrat Dawohod علیہ السلام ki khidmat mein muqadma paish kiya to Aap ne badi ke haq mein fesla de diya. Bahir niklien to Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne farmaya: “Churi laao! Mein bache ko cheer kar donon ko aadha aadha bacha de don ga.” Choti ne kaha: Nahin nahin aisa na karen.” Allah T’aala Aap par reham farmaye. Yeh bacha badi hi ka hai” So Aap ne bache ka fesla choti ke haq mein kar diya.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Ahadees-ul-Anbiya’a, Baab-o-Qaolillahi Talaa ووھبنا لداود سلیمان……., Hadees: 3427, Wa Sahih Muslim, Al-Aqziyah, Baab-o-Ikhtilaf-e-Al Mujtahideen, Hadees: 1720)
Mumkin hai un ki shari’at mein donon hazraat ke kiye huaye feslon ki gunjaish ho lekin Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ka fesla rajih tha, Is liye Allah T’aala ne Aap ki samajhdari ki ta’areef farmai aur farmaya:
وَكُلًّا اٰتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَّعِلْمًا ۡ وَّسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوٗدَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ ۭ وَكُنَّا فٰعِلِيْنَ 79 وَعَلَّمْنٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوْسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُمْ مِّنْۢ بَاْسِكُمْ ۚ فَهَلْ اَنْتُمْ شٰكِرُوْنَ 80
“Aur Ham ne donon ko hukam (ya’ani Hikmat-o-Nubuwwat) aur ilm bakhsha tha aur ham ne pahadon ko Dawohod ke liye musakkhar kar diya tha keh un ke sath tasbeeh karte thay aur parindon ko bhi musakkhar kar diya tha aur ham hi aisa karne wale thay aur ham ne tumhare liye un ko aik tarah ka libas banana bhi sikha diya takeh tum ko ladai ke zarar se bachaye. Pas tum ko shukar guzar hona chahiye.” (Al-Anbiya’a: 21/79’80)
Hawa Aur Jinnaat Par Suleman علیہ السلام Ki Hukamrani
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَلِسُلَيْمٰنَ الرِّيْحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِيْ بِاَمْرِهٖٓ اِلَى الْاَرْضِ الَّتِيْ بٰرَكْنَا فِيْهَا ۭ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عٰلِمِيْنَ 81 وَمِنَ الشَّيٰطِيْنِ مَنْ يَّغُوْصُوْنَ لَهٗ وَيَعْمَلُوْنَ عَمَلًا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ ۚ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حٰفِظِيْنَ 82ۙ
“Aur Ham ne tez hawa Suleman ke tabe’a (farman) kar di thi jo un ke hukam se us mulak (Sham) mein chalti thi jis mein ham ne barkat di thi aur ham har cheez se khabardaar hein. Aur Jinnaat (Dewohn ki jama’at ko bhi un ke tabe’a kar diya tha keh un) mein se ba’az un ke liye ghote marte thay aur is ke siwa aur kam bhi karte thay aur ham un ke nigehban thay.” (Al-Anbiya’a: 21/81,82)
Aur Soorah Saad mein farmaya:
فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيْحَ تَجْرِيْ بِاَمْرِهٖ رُخَاۗءً حَيْثُ اَصَابَ 36ۙ وَالشَّيٰطِيْنَ كُلَّ بَنَّاۗءٍ وَّغَوَّاصٍ 37ۙ وَّاٰخَرِيْنَ مُقَرَّنِيْنَ فِي الْاَصْفَادِ 38 ھٰذَا عَطَاۗؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ اَوْ اَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ 3٩ وَاِنَّ لَهٗ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفٰى وَحُسْنَ مَاٰبٍ 40ۧ
“Pas ham ne hawa ko un ke ma’tehat kar diya, woh ap ke hukam se jahan Aap chahte narmi se pohancha diya karti thi. Har imaarat banane wale aur ghotah khor jin ko bhi (Aap ke ma’tehat kar diya) aur doosare jinnaat ko bhi jo zanjeeron mein jakde rehte. Yeh hai hamara atiyah, Ab tu ahsan kar ya rok rakh, Kuch muhasibah nahi. Un ka hamare pas bada taqarrub aur bahut acha thikana hai.” (Saad: 38/36-40)
Jab Aap ne Allah ki raza ke liye ghode chod diye to Allah T’aala ne un ke iwaz Aap ko hawa ki sawari inaayat farmai jo zayada tez raftaar, Zayada quwwat wali aur zayada azeem thi aur us ko sanbhalne aur dekh bhaal karne ki mushaqat uthane ki bhi zaroorat na thi. تَجْرِيْ بِاَمْرِهٖ رُخَاۗءً حَيْثُ اَصَابَ ” Woh Aap ke hukam se jahan Aap chahte, Narmi se pohancha diya karti thi.”
Suleman علیہ السلام ke pas aik qaleen tha jis mein lakdiyan lagi hui thien. Aap us par Hasab-e-Zaroorat makanaat, Kheme, Ghode, Uont, Saz-o-Saman aur Jin-o-Inas waghera rakh lete aur dushmanon ke khilaf jihaad waghera mein Aap is hawa ke zariye se safar karte thay. Aap jahan jana chahte, Aap ke hukam se hawa usay uda kar wahan le jati thi aur Aap jis raftaar se safar karna chahte, Hawa usi tezi se chalti thi. Jaisa keh irshad-e-Ilahi hai:
وَلِسُلَيْمٰنَ الرِّيْحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَّ رَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌ ۚ وَاَسَلْنَا لَهٗ عَيْنَ الْقِطْرِ ۭ وَمِنَ الْجِنِّ مَنْ يَّعْمَلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهٖ ۭ وَمَنْ يَّزِغْ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ اَمْرِنَا نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ السَّعِيْرِ 12 يَعْمَلُوْنَ لَهٗ مَا يَشَاۗءُ مِنْ مَّحَارِيْبَ وَتَمَاثِيْلَ وَجِفَانٍ كَالْجَــوَابِ وَقُدُوْرٍ رّٰسِيٰتٍ ۭ اِعْمَلُوْٓا اٰلَ دَاوٗدَ شُكْرًا ۭ وَقَلِيْلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُوْرُ 13
Aur hawa ko (ham ne) Suleman k tabe’a kr diya tha, Us ki subah ki manzil aik maheene ki rah hoti aur sham ki manzil bhi maheene bhar ki hoti aur un ke liye ham ne tanbe ka chashma baha diya tha aur jinon mein se kuch aise thay jo un ka Parwrdigaar ke hukam se un ke aage kam karte thay aur jo koi un mein se hamare hukam se phire ga us ko ham (jahanum ki) aag ka maza chakhaein gay. Woh jo chahte, Yeh un ke liye banate ya’ani qil’ay aur mujasme aur (bade bade) lagan ya’ani peyale jaise talaab aur degein jo aik hi jagah rakhi rahen. Aye Dawohod ki aulad! Mera shukar karo aur mere bandon mein shukar guzaar thode hein.” (Saba: 34/12,13)
Allah T’aala ne jinon ko Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke matee’a kar diya tha . Woh un ke hukam se har kam anjam dete thay aur kisi hukam ki khilaf warzi nahin karte thay. Agar koi hukam udooli ki jura’at karta to Aap sakhat saza dete thay. Woh (jin) un ke liye mehrabi imarten banate aur deewaron par tasweeren banate . Yeh kam Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki shari’at mein jaaiz tha aur bade bade hoaz banate aur badi badi degein banate jo aik hi jagah padi rahein. Un mein khana paka kar ghareeb insanon ko aur ba’az janwaron ko khilaya jata tha. Is liye Allah T’aala ne farmaya: اِعْمَلُوْٓا اٰلَ دَاوٗدَ شُكْرًا ۭ وَقَلِيْلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُوْرُ ” Aye Aal-e-Dawohod! Shukar ke tor par naik amal karo. Mere bandon mein shukar guzaar bande kam hi hote hein.”
Is ke ba’ad farmaya: وَالشَّيٰطِيْنَ كُلَّ بَنَّاۗءٍ وَّغَوَّاصٍ 37ۙ وَّاٰخَرِيْنَ مُقَرَّنِيْنَ فِي الْاَصْفَادِ ” Har imarat banane wale aur ghotah khor jin ko bhi (Aap ke ma’tehat kar diya) aur dosre jinnaat ko bhi jo zanjeeron mein jakde rehte.”
Ya’ani kuch jin Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki it’at karte aur kuch shetan jin Aap ki na farmani karte thay. Jinhein zanjeeron mein jakad diya jata tha. Yeh sab jin aur insan waghera Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki ma’tehat makhlooq mein shamil thay. Yeh Aap ki is dua ki qabooliyat ke mazahir thay jo Aap ne is tarah farmai thi: { رَبِّ اغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ وَهَبۡ لِىۡ مُلۡكًا لَّا يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لِاَحَدٍ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِىۡۚ } ” Yaa Rab mujhe aisa mulak ata farma jo mere siwa kisi (shakhas) ke laiq na ho.”
Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: ” Aj rat aik shareer jin mere samne aa gaya takeh meri namaz kharab kare. Mein ne us par Allah ki tofeeq se qabu pa liya. Mera ji chaha keh usay masjid ke kisi satoon se bandh don takeh tum usay dekho. Phir mujhe Apne bhai Hazrat Suleman ki Woh dua yad aa gai keh unhon ne farmaya tha: { رَبِّ اغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ وَهَبۡ لِىۡ مُلۡكًا لَّا يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لِاَحَدٍ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِىۡۚ } ” Aye mere Rab! mujhe bakhash de aur mujhe aisa mulak (aur aisi hukoomat) ata farma jo mere siwa kisi kisi ke laaiq na ho. Tab Mein ne usay zalil kar ke chod diya.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Ahadees-ul-Anbiya’a, Baab-o-Qaolillahi Taala ووھبنا لداود سلیمان……, Hadees: 3423.)
Hazrat Abu Darda’a رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai, Unhon ne farmaya: Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم namaz padhane ke liye khade huaye to ham ne Aap ko (namaz ke dauran mein) yeh farmate suna: “Mein tujh se Allah ki panah mein aata hon. Mein tujh par Allah ki la’anat bhejta hon.” Teen bar farmaya aur Aap ne Apna hath badhaya goya kisi cheez ko pakadna chahte hon. Jab namaz se farigh huaye to hamne araz ki: Allah ke Rasool صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ham ne aj Aap ko namaz mein woh bat kehte suna hai jo bat kehte pehle kabhi nahin suna aur ham ne Aap ko hath badhate dekha hai (is ki kaya wajah hai?)
Nabi Kareem صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Allah ka dushman Iblees aag ka sho’ala le kar aaya tha keh mere chehre par phenk de. Tab Mein ne teen bar kaha: Mein tujh se Allah ki panah mein aata hon. Phir Mein ne kaha: Mein tujh par Allah ki la’anat bhejta hon. Teen bar kehne par bhi woh piche na hata. Mein ne chaha keh usay pakad lon. Agar Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne woh dua na ki hoti to woh subah ko bandha huwa milta, Madine walon ke bache us se khelte.” (Sahih Muslim, Al-Masajid, Baab-o-Jawaz-e-Laan-e-Al Shaitan Fi Asna-e-Al Salati……, Hadees: 541 wa Sunan Al-Nasai, Al-Sahaw, Baab-o-Laan-e-Iblees wal Tawwuzi Billahi minho, Hadees: 1216.)
In Shaa Allah Na Kehne Ka Natija
Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: Hazrat Suleman bin Dawohod علیہم السلام ne farmaya: Mein aj sattar khawateen ke pas jaon ga. Har aik se aik shehsawar paida ho ga jo Allah ki rah mein jihad kare ga.” Aap ke sathi ne kaha: “ان شاء اللہ kahiye!” Aap ne na kaha. Chunancheh un mein se siraf aik khatoon ke han bacha paida huwa. Us ka bhi jisam aadha tha.” Nabi Kareem صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: Agar Aap ان شاء اللہ keh dete to (Aap ki khawahish poiri hoti aur bache paida ho kar jawan hote aur) Woh Allah ki rah mein jihaad karte hein.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Ahadees-ul-Anbiya’a, Baab-o-Qapolillahi Talaa ووھبنا لداود سلیمان……., Hadees: 3424, wa Sahih Muslim, Al-Iman, Baab-ul-Istisnaa Fil Yameen Waghairiha, Hadees: 1654.)
Aik riwaayat mein hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Suleman Bin Dawood علیہم السلام ne farmaya: “Aj rat mein so auraton ke pas jaon ga. Har aik se aik ladka paida ho ga jo Allah ki rah mein jihaad kare ga.” Aap ko ان شاء اللہ kehna yad na raha. Aap un sab ke pas gaye. Un mein se kisi ke han bacha paida na huwa. Siraf aik khatoon se aadha bacha paida huwa. Nabi Kareem صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Agar Aap ان شاء اللہ keh dete to Aap ki khawahish poori ho jati.” (Musnad-e-Ahmad: 2/275, Wa Jami-Al-Tirmizi, Al-Nuzoor Wal-Iman, Baab-ul-Istisnaa Fil Yameen Waghairiha, Hadees: 1532.)
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko aik azeem saltanat mili thi.Aap ka hukam siraf insanon par nahin balkeh jinon, Janwaron aur parindon par bhi chalta hai. Aap ko har cheez hasil thi, Is liye Aap ne farmaya: وَاُوْتِيْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ” Hamein sab kuch diya gaya hai.” (Al-Namal: 27/16) Aur farmaya: رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَهَبْ لِيْ مُلْكًا لَّا يَنْۢبَغِيْ لِاَحَدٍ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِيْ ۚ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ “Aye mere Rab! Mujhe bakhash de aur mujhe aisa mulak ata farma jo mere siwa kisi ke laaiq na ho.” (Saad: 35) Chunancheh Aap ki dua qabool hui.
Allah T’aala ne Aap ko iajazat di keh jise chahein jitna chahein ata farmaein. Aap ka is bare mein koi muhasabah nahin ho ga. Yeh aik badshah Nabi ki shan hai. Aik uboodiyat ki shan rakhne wala Nabi kisi ko Wahi kuch de ga jis ki usay ijazat di jaye gi.
Hamare Nabi Hzrat Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ko yeh ikhtiyar diya gaya keh Aap chahen to shahana Shan-o-Shokat wale Nabi ban jaein aur chahen to [عبد] ki shan rakhne wale Nabi ban jaein. Aik riwaayat mein hai keh Nabi Kareem صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne Hazrat Jibreel علیہ السلام se mashwara talab kiya to unhon ne ishara farmaya keh tawaze ikhtiyar farmaiye to Aap ne bandgi ka maqam rakhne wala Nabi banna pasand farmaya. Allah T’aala ne Aap ki ummat mein qayamat tak ke liye khilafat aur hukoomat muqarrar farma di.
Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko duniya mein tamam ne’amaten ata farmaien. Is ke ilawa Aap ko aakhrat mein bhi azeem sawab, Buland tareen maqam aur Izzat-o-Sharaf se sarfaraz farmaya jaise keh irshad hai: وَاِنَّ لَهٗ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفٰى وَحُسْنَ مَاٰبٍ” Un ke liye Hamare pas bada taqarrub hai aur bahut acha thikana hai.” (Saad: 38:40)
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام Ki Wafat
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلٰي مَوْتِهٖٓ اِلَّا دَاۗبَّةُ الْاَرْضِ تَاْكُلُ مِنْسَاَتَهٗ ۚ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ اَنْ لَّوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوْا فِي الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِيْنِ 14ۭ
“Phir jab ham ne un ke liye moat ka hukam sadir kar diya to kisi cheez se un ka marna ma’aloom na huwa magar ghun ke keede se jo un ka asa khata raha. Jab asa gir pada to jinon ko ma’aloom huwa (aur kehne lage) keh agar woh ghaib jante hote to zillat ki taklif mein na rehte.” (Saba: 34/14)
Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas رضی اللہ عنہ farmate hein: Hazrat Suleman ki wafat ke ba’ad ghun ka keeda aik saal tak un ke asa ko khata raha. Tab Aap ka jisam mubarak gira. (Tafseer Al-Tabri: 12/92 Tafseer Soorah Saba, Aayat: 14.)
Imam Ibn-e-Jareer رحمہ اللہ farmate hein: “Aap ki umar pachas saal se kuch zayada thi. Aap ki wafat ke ba’ad Aap ka beta Raj’aam badshah huwa. Us ne satrah saal hukoomat ki. Us ke ba’ad Bani Israil ki saltanat ke tukde tukde ho gaye.
Nataaij-o-Fawaid……… Ibratein-o-Hikmatein
Nizam-e-Shoora Ki Ahmiyat-o-Ifadiyat:
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke qisse se Nizam-e-Shoora ki Zaroorat-o-Ahmiyat aur Ifadiyat-o-Fazilat sabit hoti hai. Hukkam-e-Bala ke Ahal-e-Ilm aur Ahal-e-Danish se Umoor-e-Mumlikat ke mut’aliq mashwarah hamesha mumlikat aur awam ke liye nafa’a mand sabit hota hai kiyoun keh Farad-e-Wahid ki raaye aur Aqal-o-Danish se Ahal-e-Khirad ke majmooaye ki raaye aur Aqal-o-Danish behtar hoti hai. Lekin agar hukkaam Majlis-e-Shoora ke mashware se ahtiraz karte huaye fesla karen to us ke nuqsanat aur mafasid ke shawahid se Tareekh-e-Insani bhari padi hai.
Malikah Bilqees ko Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ka dhamki aamez khat mosool huwa to us ne akele hi us ke bare mein fesla nahin kar liya balke apne uamra’a aur wuzra’a ko jama’a kar ke un se mashwara talab kiya.
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الْمَلَؤُا اَفْتُوْنِيْ فِيْٓ اَمْرِيْ ۚ مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً اَمْرًا حَتّٰى تَشْهَدُوْنِ 32
“Aye mere sardaro! Tum mere is moamle mein mujhe mashwara do, Mein kisi amar ka qata’i fesla jab tak tumhari mojoodgi aur raaye aur na ho, Nahin kiya karti.” (Al-Namal: 27/32)
Is tarah Malikah ne un se mashware ke ba’ad apne aur apne awam ki behtari aur falah wala fesla kiya. Is se yeh bhi daras milta hai keh sarabarah ke liye zaroori nahin keh woh shoora hi ki raaye ke mutabiq fesla kare balkeh mashware ke ba’ad jo soorat use behtar nazar aaye woh us ka fesla kar sakta hai.
Mashwara aur raaye dahi ka yeh mufeed nizam hazaron saal par muheet har hukoomat ke Dastoor-o-Qanoon ka aham lazmi hisa raha hai. Albatah mukhtalif adwaar mein us ke mukhtalif andaz rahe hein. Shoora ki is ifadoyat ke Paish-e-Nazar Allah T’aala ne Apne Nabi Hazrat Muhammad Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ko bhi is ka hukam diya. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَشَاوِرْھُمْ فِي الْاَمْرِ
“Aur kam ka mashwara un se kiya karen.” (Aal-e-Imran: 3/159)
Imam Shokani رحمہ اللہ shoora ke amal ki tafseel bayan karte huaye Imam Ibn-e-Khuwaiz Mandaad se naqal karte hein keh hukamranon ke liye zaroori hai keh Ulama-e-Kiraam se aise umoor mein mashwarah karen jo unhein ma’aloom na hon ya jin ke bare mein unhein ashkaal ho, Foaji sarbarahon se jangi umoor, Awami numaindon se awam ki Falah-o-Bahbood aur ma’tehat Wuzra’a-o-Raoosa’a se un ke ilaqon ke mut’aliq mashwara karen.” (Tafseer Fatah-ul-Qadeer: 1/640, Tafseer Soorah Aal-e-Imran Aayat: 159.)
Aqeeda Aur Iman Anmol Hain:
Hazrat Suleman ke qisse se yeh daras milta hai keh iman, Aqeedah, Deen aur islam anmol hein. In ke badle mein duniya jahan ki sari Dolat-o-Imaarat heech hai. Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne Malikah Bilqees ko sooraj ki pooja tarak kar ke Malik-e-Haqiqi ki ibadat ki da’awat di aur usay momin ban jane ka hukam namah irsaal kiya. Ba’soorat-e-Deegar jang ki sakhat warning bhi di. Malikah me Aap ko dunyawi badshah samajh kar tohfe tahaaif de kar wafad irsaal kiya to Aap ne unhein jawab diya:
قَالَ اَتُمِدُّوْنَنِ بِمَالٍ ۡفَمَآ اٰتٰىـنِۦ اللّٰهُ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّآ اٰتٰىكُمْ ۚ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُوْنَ 36
“Kaya tum maal se mujhe madad dena chahte ho? Mujhe to mere Rabb ne is se bahut behtar de rakha hai, Jo us ne tumhein diya hai, Lihaza tum hi apne tohfe se khush raho.” (Al-Namal: 27/36)
Ya’ani tum in heere jawahraat se mere khazanon mein kaya izafah kar sakte ho jabkeh Allah T’aala ne in ke ilawa un se behtar ne’amaton se nawaza hai, Lihaza tum hi in dunyawi tahaaif se khush raho.
Is tarah Aap ne ta qayamat tak aane wale Ahal-e-Hukamranon ko yeh daras diya keh woh deen ki Nashar-o-Isha’at aur us ki sar bulandi ke badle bade se bade dunyawi laalach ko bhi thukra dein aur Iman-o-Aqeede ki da’awat ko duniya mein ghalib kar ke dam lein. Aap ke Uswa-e-Hasnah mein mojooda daur ke muslim hukamranon ke liye Daras-e-Ibrat hai jo chand takon ki khatir iman aur Ahal-e-Iman ke khilaf Hanood-o-Yahood ke Dasat-o-Bazu bane huaye hein. Is mein in madah parast, Laalachi aur hawas ke mare hukamranon ke liye bhi daras hai jo chand roza Aish-o-Ishrat ki khatir iman aur aqeede ko bech dete hein aur kuffaar ke sath yarane mazboot karne ke liye Ahal-e-Iman ke khilaf din rat sazishon mein masroof rehte hein.
Tawaze’a Aur Inkisar Ka Daras:
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke waqaye se Ahal-e-Ilam ko tawaze’a aur inkisar ka daras milta hai. Ulama-e-Kiraam ko yeh daras milta hai kein unhwin apne ilm par Ghuroor-o-Takabbur mein mubtala nahin hona chahiye. Nez ilm ke moti jahan aur jis se milein le lene chahiyein, Us mein Maqam-o-Martabah ko rukawat nahin banna chahiye.
Aik roz Asp ne hud hud ko gher hazir paya to sakhat naraz huaye aur us ko saza dene ka fesla bhi farma liya. Jab hud hud hazir huwa to us ne aik zabardast inkishaf kiya, Neez Aap se kaha:
اَحَطْتُّ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَاٍۢ بِنَبَاٍ يَّقِيْنٍ 22
“Mein aik aisi cheez ki khabar laya hon keh Aap ko us ki khabar hi nahin. Mein Saba ki aik sachi khabar Aap ke pas laya hon.” (Al-Namal: 27/22)
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ko Allah T’aala ne Ilm-o-Hikmat ka aisa maqam ata farmaya tha keh us daur mein aisa maqam kisi ko hasil na tha. Neez Badshahat-o-Saltanat aisi wasee’a aur azeem ata ki thi keh jis ki misal nahin milti. Magar is sabab ke bawjood Aap ne hud hud ki khabar par apne Ilm-o-Fazal par Fakhar-o-Ghuroor nahin kiya. Na nanhe zaeef hud hud ke ilam par sitraz kiya balkeh Anbiya’a ki shan ke ain mutabiq tawaze’a aur inkasaar ikhtiyar karte huaye irshad farmaya: Acha ham tshqeeq karte hein keh tu sacha hai ya jhoota. Ya’ani agar tu waqai sacha huwa to tumhari khabar ko tasleem kar liya jaye aur tere ilm ko qubooliyat mile gi warna tumhein gher haziri ki saza mile gi.
Is se Ahad-e-Hazir ke ulama’a ko Daras-e-Ibrat milta hai keh woh haq bat ko qubool karne mein hichkichahat ka muzahara na kiya karen na apne Ilm-o-Fazal par Ghuroor-o-Takabbur ke maraz mein mubtala hon balkeh haq bat ko bagher yeh dekhe keh qaail kis Maqam-o-Martabah ka hamil hai qabool kiya karen.
Aalim-ul-Ghaib Siraf Zaat-e-Ilahi Hai:
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke qisse se Ahal-e-Iman ke is aqeede ki toseeq hoti hai Ilam-e-Ghaib siraf Parwardigaar-e-Aalam ke pas hai. Ilam-e-Ghaib ka da’awa karne wale jin, Jotashi, Lota ghumane wale lutere peer, Kale ilam ki kaat ke mahireen, Tote wali sarkaren aur deegar afraad apne da’awohn mein jhoote aur dhoke baz hein.
Isi tarah jin logon ka yeh batil aqeeda hai keh Nabi ko “ما کان” aur “ما یکون” ki khabar hoti to hai woh bhi ghalat hai. Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne Apne lashkar k dekh bhal ke dauran mein hud hud ko gher hazir paya to is ka izhar in alfaaz mein farmaya:
فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَآ اَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ ڮ اَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَاۗىِٕـبِيْنَ 20
“Yeh kaya bat hai keh mein hud hud ko nahin dekhta? Kaya waqai Woh gher hazir hai?
Agar Aap ko “ما کان” aur “ما یکون” ki khabar hoti to Aap hud hud ke ghir mojoodgi par is tarah izhar na farmate. Hud hud wapis aaya to us ne apni gher haziri ka izhar jin alfaaz mein kiya woh Nabi ke liye Ilam-e-Ghaib ke da’awedaron ke khilaf wazih daleel ki hesiyat rakhta hai . Hud hud yoon goya huwa:
اَحَطْتُّ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهٖ
“Mein aik aisi cheez ki khabar laya hon keh Aap ko us ki khabar hi nahin.” (Al-Namal: 27/22)
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke daur mein jin Ilm-e-Ghaib ke da’awedar ban gay thay magar Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ki wafat ki khabar bade arse ba’ad ma’aloom hui. Woh is arse mein Hasab-e-Sabiq apne faraaiz ada karte rahe aur Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke dar se zara bhar kotahi se darte rahe. Agar unhein Ilm-e-Ghaib hota to woh taweel arse tak Mehanat-o-Mushaqqat mein mubtala na rehte. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلٰي مَوْتِهٖٓ اِلَّا دَاۗبَّةُ الْاَرْضِ تَاْكُلُ مِنْسَاَتَهٗ ۚ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ اَنْ لَّوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوْا فِي الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِيْنِ 14ۭ
“Phir jab ham ne un par moat ka hukam bhej diya to jinnaat ko is ki khabar kisi ne na di siwaye ghun ke keede ke jo un ke asa’a ko kha raha tha, Pas jab (Suleman) gir pade us waqat jinon ne jan liya keh agar woh ghaib daan hote to is zillat ke azab mein mubtala na rehte.” (Saba: 34/14)
Tauheed Parast Hud Hud:
Tuheed woh daras hai jis ke iqrar aur yad dilane ke liye aik lakh se zaaid Anbiya-e-Kiraam aur Rusul mab’oos kiye gaye. Unhein kutab aur saheefon se rahnumaai di gai. Yeh daras har insan ki Fitrat-o-Sarishat mein bhi rakha gaya hai lekin insan usay faramosh kar ke dar ba’dar thokaren khata hai. Insan apne is jibilli aur fitri daras ko ghalat mahol, Ya ghalat Ta’leem-o-Tarbiyat ke sabab bhool jata hai. Jaisa keh irshad-e-Nabwi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم hai:
“Har bacha fitrat par peda hota hai lekin phir us ke walden use yahoodi, Isai aur majoosi bana dete hein.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Tafseer, Tafseer soorah Al-Room, Hadees: 4775. Wa Sahih Muslim, Al-Qadar, Hadees: 2658.)
Goya har insan Islam aur Tuheed ka daras apni jibillat mein liye paida hota hai magar us ke walden usay gumrah kar dete hein. Tuheed ka yahi daras aur Allah ki Wahdaniyat ka Sha’oor-o-Ahsas janwaron mein bhi paya jata hai. Hud Hud ne Malika Bilqees aur us ki qoam ko Parwardigaar-e-Aalam ko chod kar sooraj ko pojte dekha to usay sakhat herat hui, Neez us ki gherat ne un ki yeh harkat gawarah na ki to foran Suleman علیہ السلام ke darbar mein us ki shikayat le kar pohanch gaya. Malika Bilqees ko hasil ne’amaton ka tazkarah kiya, Phir us ke qabeeh jurm ka tazkirah in alfaaz mein kiya:
وَجَدْتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ اَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيْلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ 24ۙ اَلَّا يَسْجُدُوْا لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُوْنَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُوْنَ 25
“Mein ne usay aur us ki qoam ko AllahT’aala ko chod kar sooraj ko sajda karte huaye paya hai, Shetan ne un ke kam unhein muzayyan kar ke dikhaye aur unhein sahih rah se rok diya hai, Pas woh hidayat par nahin aate keh usi Allah ke liye sajda karen jo aasmanon aur zameenon ki posheeda cheezon ko bahir nkalta hai aur jo kuch tum chupate ho aur zahir karte ho woh sab kuch janta hai.” (Al-Namal: 27/24-27)
Ghairullah ko pukarne wale, Un se aulad aur rizaq talab karne wale aur unhein Dasatgeer-o-Ganj Bakhash maanane wale insanon ke liye Tuheed parasat Hud Hud ka kalam Nasihat-o-Hidayat se kam nahin.
Fan-e-Ta’ameer Ka Shahkaar Mahal:
Malika Bilqees Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke hukam par farmanbardaar ban kar apne lashkar samet Hazir-e-Khidmat hui to Aap ne usay Apne uper In’aamat-e-Rabbani ka nazarah karwaya. Hawaon, Sarkash jinon aur janwaron par Aap ki be misal hukamrani ki jhalak usay dikhai gai. Phir Aap ne usay dunyawi Shan-o-Shokat dikhane ki gharaz se Mahreen-e-Fun-e-tT,ameer ko aik shahkaar mahal banane ka hukam diya. Aap ke hukam ki tameel mein mahireen ne aik shandaar mahal banaya. Mahal ka farash shaffaf, Chamakdar aur mulaim sheeshe se banaya gaya. Phir us ke niche se pani guzara gaya to farash ki khubsoorati aur dilkashi dobala ho gai. Farash aise mahsoos hone laga jaise pani ka koi hoaz ho. Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام mahal mein apne takhat par tashreef farma huaye aur phir Malikah Bilqees ko haziri ki jazat di gai. Malikah mahal mein dakhil hui to farash ki chamak damak se woh samjhi keh pani ka hoaz hai, Lihaza us ne painche upar utha liye takeh kapde geele na hon. Is par usay bataya gaya keh pareshan hone ki zaroorat nahin yeh Shaffaf-o-Chamakdaar farash hai. Malikah Bilqees ke liye yeh manzar bilkul neya aur anokha tha. Quraan-e-Majeed ne is waqia ki yoon manzar kashi ki hai:
قِيْلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِي الصَّرْحَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَاَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَّكَشَفَتْ عَنْ سَاقَيْهَا ۭ قَالَ اِنَّهٗ صَرْحٌ مُّمَرَّدٌ مِّنْ قَوَارِيْرَ ڛ قَالَتْ رَبِّ اِنِّىْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ وَاَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمٰنَ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ 44ۧ
“Us se kaha gaya keh mahal mein chali chalo, Jab us ne us (ke farash) ko dekha to usay pani ka hoaz samjha aur (kapda utha kar) api pindaliyan khol deen (Suleman ne) farmaya yeh to sheeshe se mandhi hui imaarat hai. Kehne lagi mere Parwardigaar! Mein ne apni jan par zulam kiya, Ab mein Suleman ke sath Allah ki Mutee-o-Farmanbardar banti hon. (Al-Namal: 27/44)
Shukar Guzari Ka Daras:
Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ke qisse se Allah T’aala ka shukar karne ka daras milta hai. Shukar nai ne’amaton ke husool aur purani ne’amaton ki baqa’a aur dawam ke husool ka zariya hai. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
وَاِذْ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَىِٕنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَاَزِيْدَنَّكُمْ
“Aur jab tmhare Parwardigaar ne tumhein aagah kar diya keh agar tum shukar guzari karo gay to beshak mein tumhein zayada don ga.” (Ibrahim:14/7)
Allah T’aala ne Suleman علیہ السلام ko Nubuwwat-o-Badshahi se sarfaraz kiya. In do azeem ne’amaton ke ilawa daraj zel be misal ne’amaton se bhi Aap ko nawaza.
v Hawa ko Aap ke tabe’e kar diya gaya, Lihaza Aap maheenon ka safar lamhon aur sa’aton mein taye kar lete thay aur apne Takhat-o-Lashkar ko jahan chahte le jate.
v Sarkash Jin Aap ke Mutee-o-Farmanbardaar Thay, Lihaza woh Aap ke hukam par mahallaat aur qilaye tameer karte. Samandur mein dubki laga kar qeemati pathar aur moti nikalte aur har tarah ka hukam baja laate.
v Janwaron ki lughat aap ko samjha di gai, Lihaza Aap janwaron ka kalam samajh kar Hasab-e-Hal fesale farmate.
v Malikah bilqees ke mahal se us ka takhat palak jhapakne se pehle mojood karne wale afraad aap ke perookar thay. Jab aap ne us kamal darje ki sur’at se takhat apne pas dekha to foran is ne’amat par allah t’aala ka shukar baja laaye:
قَالَ ھٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّيْ ڷ لِيَبْلُوَنِيْٓ ءَاَشْكُرُ اَمْ اَكْفُرُ ۭ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَاِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَاِنَّ رَبِّيْ غَنِيٌّ كَرِيْمٌ
“Farmane lage yahi mere Rab ka fazal hai, Takeh woh mujhe aazmaye keh mein shukar guzari karta hon ya na shukri. Shukar guzaar apne hi nafa’a ke liye shukar guzari karta hai aur jo na shukri kare to mera Parwardigaar be parwah aur bazurag hai.” (Al-Namal: 27/40)
Hamein bhi Allah T’aala ki la ta’adaad ne’amaton par har dam shukar guzaar rehna chahiye takeh mazeed Rahmat-e-Ilahi ka husool ho.

Prophet Sulaiman (Solomon)
Solomon’s Knowledge
Solomon inherited David’s prophethood and dominion. This was not a material inheritance, as prophets do not bequeath their property. It is given away to the poor and needy, not to their relatives. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “The prophets’ property will not be inherited, and whatever we leave is to be used for charity.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari).
“And indeed We gave knowledge to David and Solomon, and they both said: “All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has preferred us above many of His believing slaves!” And Solomon inherited (the knowledge of) David. He said: “O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and on us have been bestowed all things. This, verily, is an evident grace (from Allah).”
And there were gathered before Solomon his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they were all set in battle order (marching forwards). (Ch 27:15-17 Quran).
Solomon Becomes King
After his father’s death, Solomon became king. He begged Allah for a kingdom such as none after him would have, and Allah granted his wish. Besides wisdom, Allah had blessed Solomon with many abilities. He could command the winds and understand and talk to birds and animals. Allah directed him to teach both men and jinns to mine the earth and extract its minerals to make tools and weapons. He also favored him with a mine of copper, which was a rare metal in those days.
Solomon’s Admiration of Horses
During his time horses were the common mode of transportation. They were very essential for defense, to carry soldiers and cart provisions and weapons of war. The animals were well cared for and well trained. One day Solomon was reviewing a parade of his stable. The fitness, beauty and posture of the horses fascinated him so much that he kept on stroking and admiring them. The sun was nearly setting, and the time for the middle prayer was passing by. When he realized this, he exclaimed: “I surely love the finer things of life than the service of my Lord! Return them to me.”
Allah’s Gifts to Solomon –
Quranic Almighty Allah revealed:
“And to David We gave Solomon. How excellent a slave! Verily, he was ever oft returning in repentance (to Us)!
When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well-trained horses of the highest breed (for jihad in Allah’s cause). And he said: “Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my ‘Asr prayer)” till the time was over, and the sun had hidden in the veil of the night. Then he said: “Bring them (horses) back to me.” Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks (till the end of the display).
And indeed We did try Solomon and We placed on his throne Jasadan (a devil so he lost his kingdom for a while) but he did return (to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allah and he did return) to Allah with obedience and in repentance. He said: “My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me. Verily, You are the Bestower.”
So. We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed, and also the devils from the jinns including every kind of builder and diver, and also other bound in fetters. (Saying of Allah to Solomon): “This is Our gift, so spend you or withhold, no account will be asked.” And verily, he enjoyed a near access to Us, and a good final return Paradise. (Ch38:30-40 Quran)
Solomon Hears the Ant’s Warning
One day Solomon gathered his army, which had different battalions of men, jinns, birds, and animals. He marched them to the country of Askalon.
While they were passing through a valley, an ant saw the approaching army and cried out to warn the other ants: “Run to your homes! Otherwise, unaware, Solomon and his army might crush you!” Solomon, hearing the cry of the ant, smiled. He was glad that the ant knew him to be a prophet who would not intentionally harm Allah’s creation. He thanked Allah for saving the ants’ lives.
Solomon Hears the Conversation of Ants – Quranic
Allah the Almighty narrated: And there were gathered before Solomon his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards). Till, when they came to a valley of the ants, one of the ants said: “O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not.”
So he (Solomon) smiled, amused at her speech and said: “My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I maybe grateful for Your Favors which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves.” (Ch 27:17-19 Quran).
Solomon’s Travels
In Jerusalem, on a huge rock, Solomon built a beautiful temple to draw the people to worship Allah. Today this building is known as “The Dome of the Rock.” From there, a large band of followers joined Solomon on pilgrimage to the Holy Mosque in Mecca. After they had completed their hajj, they traveled to Yemen and arrived in the city of San’a. Solomon was impressed by their clever method of channeling water all over their cities. He was keen to build similar water systems in his own country but did not have enough springs.
The Hoopoe Brings Information to Solomon
He set out to find the hoopoe bird, which could detect water under the ground. He sent signals all over the hoopoe to call on him, but it was nowhere to be found. In anger, he declared that unless the bird had a good reason for its absence, he would punish it severely. The hoopoe eventually came to Solomon and explained the reason for its delay. “I have discovered something of which you are not aware. I have come from Sheba (Sab’a) with important news.” Solomon became curious, and his anger subsided. The bird continued: “Sab’a is ruled by a queen named Bilkis (Bilqis), who has plenty of everything, including a splendid throne. But in spite of all this wealth, Satan has entered her heart and the hearts of her people. She rules their minds completely. I was shocked to learn that they worship the sun instead of Allah the Almighty.”
To check the hoopoe’s information, Solomon sent a letter to the queen with the bird. He instructed the bird to remain hidden and to watch everything.
The Queen of Sheba Sends Gifts
The hoopoe dropped the letter in front of the queen and flew away to hide. She excitedly opened and read it:
“Verily! It is from Solomon, and verily! It reads: ‘In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, and Most Merciful; be you not exalted against me, but come to me as Muslims (true believers who submit with full submission).”” (Ch 27:30-31 Quran).
The queen was very disturbed and hurriedly summoned her advisors. They reacted as to a challenge, for they felt that there was someone challenging them, hinting at war and defeat, and asking them to submit to his conditions.
They told her that they could only offer advice, but it was her right to command action. She sensed that they wanted to meet Solomon’s invasion threat with a battle. However, she told them: “Peace and friendship are better and wiser; war only brings humiliation, enslaves people and destroys the good things. I have decided to send gifts to Solomon, selected from our most precious treasure. The courtiers who will deliver the gifts will also have an opportunity to learn about Solomon and his military mighty.”
Solomon’s Rejects the Queen’s Gifts
Solomon’s reconnaissance team brought him the news of the arrival of Bilkis’ messengers with a gift. He immediately realized that the queen had sent her men on a probing mission thus, he gave orders to rally the army. The envoys of Bilqis, entering amidst the well-equipped army, realized that their wealth was nothing in comparison to that of the kingdom of Solomon’s palace floors, which were made of sandalwood and inlaid with gold.
They noticed Solomon surveying his army, and they were surprised at the number and variety of soldiers, which included lions, tigers, and birds. The messengers stood in amazement, realizing that they were in front of an irresistible army.
The envoys marveled at the splendor surrounding them. They eagerly presented their queen’s precious gifts and told Solomon that the queen wished that he would accept them as an act of friendship. They were shocked by his reaction: he did not even ask to open the covers of the containers! He told them: “Allah hagiven me plenty of wealth, a large kingdom, and prophethood. I am, therefore, beyond bribery. My only objective is to spread the belief in Tawheed, the Oneness of Allah.”
He also directed them to take back the gifts to the queen and to tell her that if she did not stop her kind of worship he would uproot her kingdom and drive its people out of the land.
The Queen Decides to Visit Solomon
The queen’s envoys returned with the gifts and delivered the message. They also told her of the wonderful things they had seen. Instead of taking offense, she decided to visit Solomon. Accompanied by her royal officials and servants, she left Sheba, sending a messenger ahead to inform Solomon that she was on her way to meet him.
Solomon asked the jinns in his employ whether anyone among them could bring her throne to he palace before she arrived. One of them said, “I will bring it to you before this sitting is over.” Solomon did not react to this offer, it appeared that he was waiting for a faster means. The jinns competed with each other to please him. One of them named Ifrit said: “I will fetch it for you in the twinkling of an eye!”
No sooner had this one who had the knowledge of the Book – finished his phrase than the throne stood before Solomon. The mission had, indeed, been completed in the blinking of an eye. Solomon’s seat was in Palestine, and the throne of Bilqis had been in Yemen, two thousand miles away. This was a great miracle performed by one of those sitting with Solomon.
The Queen’s Visit with Solomon
When Bilqis arrived at Solomon’s palace, she was welcomed with pomp and ceremony. Then, pointing to the altered throne, Solomon asked her whether her throne looked like that one. She looked at it again and again. In her mind she was convinced that her throne could not possibly be the one she was looking at, as hers was in her palace; et, she detected a striking similarity and replied: “It is as if it were the very one, and resembles mine in every respect.” Solomon judged that she was intelligent and diplomatic.
He then invited her into the great hall, the floor of which was laid in glass and shimmering. Thinking it was water, as she stepped on the floor, she lifted her skirt slightly above her heels, for fear of wetting it. Solomon pointed out to her that it was made of solid glass.
She was amazed. She had never seen such things before. Bilgis realized that she was in the company of a very knowledgeable person who was not only a ruler of a great kingdom but a messenger of Allah, as well. She repented, gave up sun worship, accepted the faith of Allah, and asked her people to do the same.
It was finished; Bilqis saw her people’s creed fall apart before Solomon. She realized that the sun which her people worshipped was nothing but one of Allah’s creatures.
The sun eclipsed within her for the first time, and her heart was lit by a never fading light, the light of Islam.
Solomon is Informed About the Queen of Sheba – Quranic
Almighty Allah told us this story in the Quran:
“He inspected the birds, and said: “What is the matter that I see not a hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? I will surely punish him with a severe torment, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear reason.”
But the hoopoe stayed not long, he came up and said: “I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Sheba with true news. I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given all things that could be possessed by any ruler of the earth, and she has a great throne. I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds fair seeming to them, and has barred them from Allah’s of the Way, so they have no guidance.”
Al-La (this word has two interpretations) [As Satan has barred them from Allah’s Way} so that they do not worship (prostrate before) Allah, or so that they may worship (prostrate before) Allah, Who brings light to what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you reveal. Allah, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!
(Solomon) said: “We shall see whether you speak the truth or you are one of the liars. Go with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them, then draw back from them, and see what answer they return.”
She said: “O chiefs! Verily! Here is a delivered to me a noble letter. Verily! It is from Solomon and verily! It (reads): In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful; Be you not exalted against me, but come to me as Muslims (true believers who submit to Allah with full submission).”
She said: “O chiefs! Advise me in this case of mine. I decide no case till you are present with me”
They said: “We have great strength, and great ability for war, but it is for you to command; so think over what you will command.”
She said: “Verily! Kings, when they enter a town (country), they despoil it, and make the most honorable amongst its people low. And thus they do. But verify! I am going to send him a present, and see with what answer the messengers return.”
So when (the messengers with the present) came to Solomon, he said: “Will you help me in wealth? What Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay, you rejoice in your gift!” (Then Solomon said to the chief of her messengers who brought the present): “Go back to them. We verily shall come to them with hosts that they cannot resist, and we shall drive them out from there is disgrace, and they will be abased.”
He said: “O chiefs! Which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me surrendering themselves in obedience?”
An Ifrit (strong) from the jinns said: “I will bring it to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work.”
One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: “I will bring it to you within the twinkling of an eye!” then when Solomon saw it placed before him, he said: “This is by the Grace of my Lord, to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for the good of his ownself, and whoever is ungrateful, he is ungrateful only for the loss of his ownself. Certainly! My Lord is Rich (Free of all wants), Bountiful!”
He said: “Disguise her throne for her that we may see whether she will be guided (to recognize her throne), or she will be one of those not guided.”
So when she came, it was said to her. “Is your throne like this?”
She said: “It is as though it was the very same.”
And Solomon said: “Knowledge was bestowed on us before her, and we were submitted to Allah (in Islam as Muslims before her),”
And that which she used to worship besides Allah has prevented her from Islam, for she was of a disbelieving people.
It was said to her: “Enter As-Sarh” (a glass surface with water underneath it) or a palace, but when she saw it, she thought it was a pool, and she tucked up her clothes, uncovering her legs.
Solomon said: “Verily, it is Sarh paved smooth with slab of glass.”
She said: “My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, and I submit (in Islam), together with Solomon, to Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists).” (Ch 27:20-44 Quran)
Jinns and Solomon
Solomon’s public work was largely carried out by the jinns. This was a punishment for their sins of making people believe that they were all-powerful, knew the unseen, and could foresee the future. As a prophet, it was Solomon’s duty to remove such false beliefs from his followers.
Solomon’s Death
Solomon lived amidst glory, and all creatures were subjected to him. Then Allah the Exalted ordained for him to die. His life and death were full of wonders and miracles, thus, his death harmonized with his life and glory. His death, like his life, was unique. The people had to learn that the future is known neither by the jinns, nor by the prophets, but by Allah alone. Solomon’s effort in this direction did not end with his life, for even his death became an example. He was sitting holding his staff, overseeing the jinns at work in a mine. He died sitting in this position. For a long time no one was aware of his death, for he was seen sitting erect. The jinns continued with their sand toil, thinking that Solomon was watching over them.
Many days later, a hungry ant began nibbling Solomon’s staff. It continued to do so, cating the lower part of the staff, until it fell out of Solomon’s hand, and his great body fell to the ground. People hurried to him, realizing that he had died a long time ago and that the jinns did not perceive the unseen, for had the jinns known the unseen, they would not have kept working, thinking that Solomon was alive.
Solomon’s Death – Quranic
Allah the Exalted revealed:
“And We caused a fount of molten brass to flow for him, and there were jinns that worked in front of him by the Leave of his Lord, and whosoever of them turned aside from Our Command. We shall cause him to taste of the torment of the blazing Fire.
They worked for him what he desired, (making) high rooms, images, basins as large as reservoirs, and (making) cauldrons fixed (in their places). “Work you, O family of David, with thanks!” But few of My slaves are grateful.
Then when we decreed death for him (Solomon), nothing informed them (jinns) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept slowly gnawing away at his stick, so when he fell down, the jinns saw clearly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment. (Ch 34:12-14 Quran).
