26. The Story of Prophet Isa(AS)
The Story of Prophet Isa (AS)
A Miraculous Birth
Long ago, Allah performed an amazing miracle. He chose a very special and pure woman named Maryam (AS). In a way that shows His limitless power, Allah created Isa (AS) without a father—just as He created Hazrat Adam (AS) without a father and Hazrat Hawwa (AS) without a mother. One day, Allah sent His angel in a beautiful form to Maryam with wonderful news:
“And ˹remember˺ when the angels said, “O Mary! Surely Allah has selected you, purified you, and chosen you over all women of the world. ”
(Surah Ale Imran:03: 42)
Maryam trusted Allah and soon gave birth to Isa (AS), a true miracle that filled everyone with awe!
A Sign of Allah’s Mighty Power
Even as a baby, Isa (AS) was not ordinary. When he spoke in the cradle, he said:
“Jesus declared, “I am truly a servant of Allah. He has destined me to be given the Scripture and to be a prophet.”
(Surah Maryam:19: 30)
This remarkable act showed that Allah’s signs can appear even in the smallest and youngest among us.
Miracles to Heal and Create
As Isa (AS) grew, Allah blessed him with many incredible miracles that showed His power:
- Healing the Sick – By Allah’s command, Isa (AS) healed the blind, cured those with skin diseases, and restored health to those who were suffering.
- Bringing Life – With Allah’s permission, he even raised the dead, proving that no one can defeat Allah’s might—not even death!
- Creating a Living Bird – One of the most amazing miracles was when Isa (AS) shaped a ball of clay like a bird, then blew on it. By Allah’s command, it became a real, living bird. This showed everyone that Allah can create life with just one word: “Be!”
The Special Message of Isa (AS)
Isa (AS) came with an important message from Allah. He taught people to:
- Worship Only Allah – Isa (AS) reminded everyone that Allah is the one true Creator and that all praise and worship belong only to Him.
- Follow the Right Path – He encouraged people to live righteously, help one another, and trust in Allah’s plan, even when life was difficult.
- Believe in Miracles – His miracles were clear signs that Allah’s power is limitless, and they were meant to strengthen the faith of those who believed.
Challenges and Faithful Helpers
Even though many people were amazed by Isa (AS)’s miracles, not everyone accepted his message. Some doubted how a baby could be born without a father, and many rejected his teachings. But a group of devoted followers—called the Hawariyyun—stood by his side. They said, “We believe in Allah and in your message!”
When people planned harm against him, Allah protected Isa (AS) in a special way. Instead of letting the enemies harm him, Allah raised him up to the heavens safely. He is still alive and will return before the Day of Judgment. He will follow the teachings of Islam, defeat Dajjal (the false messiah), and establish justice. After completing his mission, he will pass away just like all humans do.
