AHL-E-JAHANNUM KA MASHROOB
Allah Ta’aala farmaata hai:
((وَاسْتَفْتَحُوْا وَخَابَ کُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِیْدٍ. مِنْ وَّرَآئِہٖ جَہَنَّمُ وَیُسْقٰی مِنْ مَّآئٍ صَدِیْدٍ. یَتَجَرَّعُہُ وَلاَ یَکَادُ یُسِیْغُہُ وَیَأْتِیْہِ الْمَوْتُ مِنْ کُلِّ مَکَانٍ وَّمَا ہُوَ بِمَیِّتٍ وَمِنْ وَّرَآئِہٖ عَذَابٌ غَلِیْظٌ))
“Aur Kafiron ne chaha keh Allah unke aur Rasoolon kay darmiyaan faisla kar hi dalay tou natija ye nikla keh har sarkash wa Mutakabbir namuraad hua. Aur Jahannum tou uska peecha kar rahi hai jahan usay (Jahannumi ko) peep ka pani pilaya jaega, Usay wo ba mushkil ghoont ghoont piyega aur usay halaq se nechay utaar nahi sakega. Aur maut usay har chaar janib se gher legi lekin wo mar naa sakega aur sakht azaab uskay peechay laga hoga.”
Isi tarah Allah Ta’aala ka farmaan hai:
(إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِیْنَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِہِمْ سُرَادِقُہَا وَإِنْ یَّسْتَغِیْثُوْا یُغَاثُوْا بِمَآئٍ کَالْمُہْلِ یَشْوِیْ الْوُجُوْہَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ وَسَآئَ تْ مُرْتَفَقًا﴾)
“Beshak hamne zalimon kay liye aik aag tayyar kar rakhi hai jiski qanaaten unhay gher legin- Aur agar wo pani kay liye fariyaad karengay tou unki faryaad rasi us pani se hogi jo pighlay huay tambay ki manind hoga, jo unke chehron ko bhoon dega. Wo bohat hi bura pani hoga aur (Jahannum) bohat hi buri rehne ki jagah hogi.”
[Surah Kahf:18: 29]
Nez farmaaya:
(یُصَبُّ مِنْ فَوْقِ رُؤُوْسِہِمُ الْحَمِیْمُ . یُصْہَرُ بِہٖ مَا فِیْ بُطُوْنِہِمْ وَالْجُلُوْدُ . وَلَہُمْ مَّقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِیْدٍ﴾)
“Unkay saron kay upar se kholta hua garam pani undela jaega jiski garmi se unkay pait ki har cheez aur unkay chamre galkar alag hojaengay aur unhay lohe kay garzon se saza di jaegi.”
[Surah Hajj:22: 19-21]
Isi tarah Hazrat Asma binte yazed(رضی اللہ عنہا) se riwayat hai keh, Rasool Allah(ﷺ) ne farmaaya:
“Jo admi sharab peeta hai Allah Ta’aala ussay chaalees raton tak raazi nahi hota, Agar wo is dauraan margaya tou uski maut kafir ki maut hogi, phir agar wo dobara sharab noshi karta hai tou Allah Ta’aala ussay zarur (طِیْنَۃُ الْخَبَال) se pani pilaega- Aap(ﷺ) se poocha gaya keh (طِیْنَۃُ الْخَبَال) kiya hai? Tou Aap(ﷺ) ne farmaaya: Ahl-e-Jahannum ki peep.”

The Drink of the People of Hell
These aayaat mention four kinds of drink that the people of Hell have to endure:
(1) al-Hameem: an extremely hot water.
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍۢ ٤٤
As Allaah says: “In its midst and in the midst of the boiling hot water will they wander round!”
(55:44)
تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ ٥
This was explained as being ultra-hot water. And Allaah (swt) says: “They will be given to drink from a boiling hot spring.”
(88:5)
(2) al-Ghassaaq:
al-Ghasleen and al-Ghassaaq mean the same thing, which is the festering pus that oozes out of the skin of the people of Hell. It was suggested that it refers to the offensive discharge that flows from the private parts of adulterous women, and the decaying skin and flesh of the kuffaar. al-Qurtubee said, “It is the juice of the people of Hell”

Allaah tells us that al-Ghasleen is just one of many similarly obnoxious punishments.
The drink of the people of Hell will be al-Hameem. Allaah (swt) says:
سُرَادِقُهَا ۚ وَإِن يَسْتَغِيثُوا۟ يُغَاثُوا۟ بِمَآءٍۢ كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَشْوِى ٱلْوُجُوهَ ۚ بِئْسَ ٱلشَّرَابُ وَسَآءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا ٢٩
- “…and if they implore relief, they will be granted water like melted brass that will scald their faces. How dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!”
(18:29)
وَيُسْقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٍۢ صَدِيدٍۢ ١٦
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ
- “…and he will be made to drink boiling, festering water. He will sip it unwillingly, and he will find great difficulty in swallowing it..”
(14:16-17)
(3) al-Sadeed (pus):
what flows from the flesh and skin of the Kaafir. Muslim reports from Jaabir that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Anyone who drinks intoxicants will be made to drink the mud of khabaal”. They asked, “O Messenger of Allaah, what is the mud of khabaal?” He said, “The sweat of the people of Hell”, or “the juice of the people of Hell”.
(4) al-Muhl:
according to the hadith of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri narrated by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi the Prophet ﷺ said: “It is like boiling oil, and when it is brought near a person’s face, the skin of the face falls off into it”. Ibn ‘Abbaas said, “It is like very thick oil”.
Some of the sinners will be fed the burning coals of Hell as an appropriate punishment:
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَٰلَ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِى بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًۭا ۖ
- “Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans, eat us a Fire into their own bellies, and they will soon be enduring a blazing Fire!”
(4:10)
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَشْتَرُونَ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًا ۙ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِى بُطُونِهِمْ إِلَّا ٱلنَّارَ
- “Those who conceal Allaah’s revelations in the Book, and purchase for them a miserable profit – swallow into themselves naught but Fire..”
(2:174)
فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلْحَمِيمُ ١٩
As for the dress of the people of Hell, Allaah (swt) has told us that garments of fire will be tailor-made for them, as it says in the Qur’aan: “..But for those who deny [their Rabb] for them will be cut out a garment of Fire; over their heads will be poured out boiling water”
(22:19)
When Ibraaheem at-Taymi recited this Aayah he used to say, “Glory be to Allaah, Who has created garments out of fire”
(at-Takhweef min an-Naar, p.126)
وَتَرَى ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ مُّقَرَّنِينَ فِى ٱلْأَصْفَادِ ٤٩
سَرَابِيلُهُم مِّن قَطِرَانٍۢ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ٥٠
Allaah (swt) says, “And you will see the sinners that Day bound together in fetters. Their garments of liquid pitch and their faces covered with Fire”.
(14:49-50)
This pitch or tar is melted copper. According to a hadith narrated by Muslim from Abu Maalik al-Ash’ari, the Prophet ﷺ said,
“The woman who wails for the dead, if she does not repent before she dies, she will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection, wearing a shirt of tar and a shield of scabs.
” Ibn Maajah reported this with the wording,
“The woman who wails over the dead, who does not repent before she dies, Allaah (swt) will cut out for her a garment of tar and a shield of scabs”.

(۱۲) اہل جہنم کا مشروب
اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتے ہیں:﴿ وَاسْتَفْتَحُوْا وَخَابَ کُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِیْدٍ. مِنْ وَّرَآئِہٖ جَہَنَّمُ وَیُسْقٰی مِنْ مَّآئٍ صَدِیْدٍ. یَتَجَرَّعُہُ وَلاَ یَکَادُ یُسِیْغُہُ وَیَأْتِیْہِ الْمَوْتُ مِنْ کُلِّ مَکَانٍ وَّمَا ہُوَ بِمَیِّتٍ وَمِنْ وَّرَآئِہٖ عَذَابٌ غَلِیْظٌ﴾
’’ اور کافروں نے چاہا کہ اللہ ان کے اور رسولوں کے درمیان فیصلہ کر ہی ڈالے تو نتیجہ یہ نکلا کہ ہر سرکش ومتکبر نامراد ہوا ۔ اور جہنم تو اس کا پیچھا کررہی ہے جہاں اسے ( جہنمی کو ) پیپ کا پانی پلایا جائے گا ، اسے وہ بمشکل گھونٹ گھونٹ پئے گا اور اسے حلق سے نیچے اتار نہیں سکے گا ۔ اور موت اسے ہر چہار جانب سے گھیر لے گی لیکن وہ مر نہ سکے گا اور سخت عذاب اس کے پیچھے لگا ہو گا۔‘‘
إبراہیم14 :17-15
اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ کا فرمان ہے:
﴿إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِیْنَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِہِمْ سُرَادِقُہَا وَإِنْ یَّسْتَغِیْثُوْا یُغَاثُوْا بِمَآئٍ کَالْمُہْلِ یَشْوِیْ الْوُجُوْہَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ وَسَآئَ تْ مُرْتَفَقًا﴾
’’ بے شک ہم نے ظالموں کیلئے ایک آگ تیار کر رکھی ہے جس کی قناتیں انھیں گھیر لیں گی۔ اور اگر وہ پانی کیلئے فریاد کریں گے تو ان کی فریاد رسی اس پانی سے ہوگی جوپگھلے ہوئے تانبے کی مانند ہو گا ، جو ان کے چہروں کو بھون دے گا ۔ وہ بہت ہی برا پانی ہو گا اور ( جہنم ) بہت ہی بری رہنے کی جگہ ہو گی۔‘‘
الکہف18: 29
نیز فرمایا :﴿یُصَبُّ مِنْ فَوْقِ رُؤُوْسِہِمُ الْحَمِیْمُ . یُصْہَرُ بِہٖ مَا فِیْ بُطُوْنِہِمْ وَالْجُلُوْدُ . وَلَہُمْ مَّقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِیْدٍ﴾
’’ ان کے سروں کے اوپر سے کھولتا ہوا گرم پانی انڈیلا جائے گا جس کی گرمی سے ان کے پیٹ کی ہر چیز اور ان کے چمڑے گل کر الگ ہو جائیں گے اور انھیں لوہے کے گرزوں سے سزا دی جائے گی ۔‘‘
الحج22: 21-19
اسی طرح حضرت اسماء بنت یزید رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :
’’ جو آدمی شراب پیتا ہے اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے چالیس راتوں تک راضی نہیں ہوتا ۔ اگر وہ اس دوران مر گیا تو اس کی موت کافر کی موت ہو گی ۔ پھر اگر وہ دوبارہ شراب نوشی کرتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے ضرور (طِیْنَۃُ الْخَبَال)سے پانی پلائے گا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا کہ ( طِیْنَۃُ الْخَبَال) کیا ہے ؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : اہلِ جہنم کی پیپ۔ ‘‘
