04. Ghalat Sohbat [Corrupt companions and peers]

Ghalat Sohbat

Buri sohbat aik aisi bimaari hai jis mein achay achaon ki olaad bigad jaati hai, Hazrat Nooh (علیہ السلام) Allah Ta’ala kay ul-ul-a’zm paighambar thay, naik terbiyat kay baawajood buri sohbat ka shikaar ho kar in ka larka Kinaa’n Kaafir ho gaya aur tofaan-e-Nooh mein maara gaya, is ka sabab Hazrat Shaikh Saadi (رحمه الله) buri sohbat hi qaraar daitay hue farmaatey hain:

نبوت خاندانش گم کرد پسر نوح با بداں بنشست پئے نیکاں گرفت و مردم شد سگ اصحاب کہف روزے چند

Y’ani Nooh (علیہ السلام) kay baitay nay buron ki sohbat ikhtiyaar ki, jis ki wajah say apnay khaandaan ki nabuw’wat ko ganwa baitha, is liye keh Allah Ta’ala ka ye dastoor raha hai keh paigambaron ki naik olaad ko bhi nabuw’wat say sarfaraaz farmaatey hain, jab keh Asahaab-e-Kahaf ka kutta chand din naik loogon ki sohbat mein raha jis ki wajah say wo in naik logon kay saath hi gina jaanay laga, Allah Ta’ala nay qayaamat tak kay liye apnay oliya kay saath is jaanwar ka tazkirah bhi Quraan Majeed mein mehfooz kar diya:

﴿ سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلثَةٌ رابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُم وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَةٌ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَحَمَاء بِالْغَيْبِ : وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَةٌ وَّثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ ) ( کہف : 22)

Tarjumah:

“Kuch loog kahain gay keh wo teen(3) thay aur chotha (4) in ka kutta tha, kuch doosaray kahain gay keh wo paanch (5) thay aur chatta (6) un ka kutta, ye sab be-tuki baatain banaatay hain, kuch aur kahtay hain keh wo saat (7) thay aur aathwan (8) un ka kuta”.

Issi liye Islaam nay shar pasand afraad ki sohbat say baar baar mana’a kiya hai, is liye keh is say insaan rah-e-hidaayat say bhatak jaata hai aur hamesha kay liye dozakhi ban jaata hai, Quraan Majeed nay aiysay bad naseeb afraad ka tazkirah kiya hai jo qayaamat kay din apnay buray yaaron aur dooston ko yaad kar kay Allah Ta’ala say mutaalbah karain gay keh wo pal bhar kay liye in loogon ko dikha dain jinhon nay inhain duniya mein rah-e-haq say bhatka diya, taakay wo inhain buri tarhan roond dain:

: ﴿ وَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا آرِنَا الَّذِيْنِ أَضَلُّنَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ نَجْعَلَهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ الأسْفَلِينَ ﴾ (فصلت : 29)

Aur Kaafir kaheyn gain: Aey hamaaray Rab! Hamain jinnon aur insaanon kay wo donon fareeq dikha, jinhon nay hamain ghumrah kiya taakay ham inhain apnay qadmon talay daal dain taakay wo jahannum mein sab say neechay (sakht azaab mein) ho jayen.

Buray doost maidaan-e-mahshar mein aik doosaray kay dushman ho jayen gay.

Farmaan-e-baari Ta’ala hai:

Issi liye Rasool Ullah (ﷺ) nay irshaad farmaaya:

Aadmi apnay dost kay Deen par hota hai, is liye aadmi ko ghor kar leina chahiye keh wo kis say dosti kar raha hai. Issi liye Hazrat Ali Bin Abi Taalib (رضی اللہ عنہا) nay farmaaya:

Agar tum kissi shakhas kay aa’daat-o-atwaar kay muta’lliq maloomaat haasil karna chaaho to is kay nahi balkay is kay yaaron doston kay muta’lliq maloomaat faraaham karo, is liye keh har shakhas apnay hi zarf kay mutaabiq yaar banaata hai.

Aap (ﷺ) nay achi aur buri sohbat ko aik lateef misaal say waazeh farmaaya:

Achay saathi aur buray saathi ki misaal mushk uthaaye hue shakhas aur bhatti dhun’nay waalay lohaar ki tarhan hai. Mushak waala shakhas ya to khud hi mushak day ga, ya tum is say khareedo gay, agar ye bhi na ho to is ki itar baizi say tumhaari mashaam mua’ttar ho gi, jab keh bhatti dhun’nay waala tumhaaray kapaday jala day ga, ya is ki badboo tumhain zarar (naak aur kapadon mein) mehsoos ho gi.

Waalidain oolaad say milnay julnay waalay afraad par gehri nigaah rakhain, aur inhain muhallah, school, masjid aur collage waghaira mein achay larkon say dosti karnay ki targheeb dain, buri sohbat kay nuqsaanaat say aagaah krain agar inhain mehsoos ho keh bachay ghalat afraad ki sohbat ka shikaar ho rahain hain, fouri iqdaam kartay hue inhain ghalat suhbat say bacha lain.

The spare time that dominates children and adolescents

It is known that the child grows up fond of playing and having adventures. So, educators must make use of this fact to get the children engaged in what their health can benefit from and what makes them strong. That is done by preparing places for them to play in and have fun and give them access to sports clubs and swimming pools. If educators do not fullfil their duty, the children would certainly mix with bad peers, and will go along a path leading to misery and perversion.

Islam tackled the problem of spare time by offering practical means that make their bodies healthy and strong. Among the greatest of these means is getting them used to worshipping, especially prayer, and teaching them fighting techniques and chivalry, swimming, jumping and wrestling. But nothing can be achieved without having large playgrounds, vast libraries and suitable swimming pools, provided that they conform to the Islamic requirements, and its noble manners.

Corrupt companions and peers

Islam has instructed parents and educators to observe the conduct of their children, and has guided them to choose good company for their children, and to develop in them every noble manner and sublime behaviour. They have also been directed to warn their children against evil company and bad peers. Allah said,

“Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al – Muttaqun (pious see V.2:2).”

(Az-Zukhruf, 67)

According to At-Tirmidhi narration, the Prophet(ﷺ) said, “Man follows his bosom friend’s faith, so everyone must check who his friend is.”

And the Prophet(ﷺ) also said in the hadith transmitted by Al- Bukhari and Muslim, “The likeness of the good companion and the bad one, is the likeness of the perfume bearer, and the bellow blower. The perfiane bearer will either give you some to buy, or you will get a nice smell from him. But the bellow blower will either burn your clothes, or you will get a bad smell of him.”
