30. AKSAR JHOOT BOLNA [Inveterate lying]

 AKSAR JHOOT BOLNA

Allah ta’ala ne farmaya:

“Jhooton par Allah ki la’anat ho”

Al Imran 3: 61

Aur farmaya:

قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ۞

“Atkal maarne wale (andaza lagane wale) maare gae”

Adh-Dhariyat 51: 10

Aur farmaya:

ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ۞

“Yaqeen rakho keh allah hadd se guzarne wale jhoote ko hidayat nahin deta”

Momin 40 : 28

Ibne Mas’ood رضي الله عنهما bayan karte hain RasullAllah ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Yaqeenan sachai naiki ki taraf rehnumai karti hai aur naiki jannat ki taraf rehnumai karti hai, aadmi sach bolta rehta hai aur sachai ka qasad karta hai hatta keh woh Allah kay haan sacha likha jata hai, yaqeenan jhoot gunahon ki taraf rehnumai karta hai gunah Jahannum ki taraf rehnumai karte hain aadmi jhoot bolta rehta hai aur jhoot ka qasad karta hai hatta keh woh Allah kay haan jhoota likha jata hai ” [ Bukhari: 6094; Muslim: 2607]

Sahihain mein riwayat hai aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Munafiq ki 3 nishanian hain: khuwah woh namaz parhe, roze rakhe aur woh guman kare keh woh musalman hai, jab baat kare jhoot bole , jab waada kare khilaf warzi kare aur jab us kay pas amanat rakhi jae tou woh khiyanat kare” [Bukhari: 33: Muslim: 59]

Aur Aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“4 khaslaten aisi hain woh jis shakhs mein hon tou woh khalis munafiq hai aur jis mein un mein se koi aik khaslat ho tou us mein nifaq ki aik khaslat hogi hatta keh woh use chor de, jab us kay pas amanat rakhi jae tou woh khiyanat kare, jab koi mu’ahida kare tou be wafai kare aur jab jhagra kare tou gaali galoch par utar ae ”    [Bukhari: 34; Muslim: 58]

Aur Sahih Bukhari mein RasullAllah ﷺ kay khuwab ki Hadith mein hai aap ne farmaya:

“Pas ham aik aadmi kay pas ae woh apni guddi kay bal (ya’ani ulta) leta hua tha, jab keh dusra shakhs lohe ka aankra lie us par khara hai, woh uska khopra uski guddi tak cheer deta hai aur uski ankhon ko bhi uski guddi tak phir woh dusri janib jata hai woh us kay sath bhi wohi karta hai jo us ne pehli janib kia tha, woh abhi us taraf wapas nahin aega keh woh apni pehli halat par phir ajaega, Qayamat kay din tak us kay sath usi tarah hota rahega, main ne un donon se pucha , yeh kon hai? Unhon ne kaha: yeh woh shakhs hai keh woh subha apne ghar se nikalta tou aisa jhoot bolta keh woh sari dunia tak pohonch jata” [Bukhari: 7047]

Aur aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Momin mein khiyanat aur jhoot kay elawa koi bhi khaslat ho sakti hai” [Ahmad:  252/5]

Aur hadith mein hai:

“Bad gumani se bacho, kyun keh bad gumani sab se bara jhoot hai” [Bukhari: 6066; Muslim: 2563]

Aur Aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“3 qisam kay log hain Allah un se kalam karega na Roz-e-Qayamat unki taraf dekhega aur na hi unhen paak karega aur un kay lie dardnak azaab hai: boorha zaani, jhoota badshah aur mutakabbir faqeer” [Muslim]

Aur Aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Us shakhs kay lie halakat hai jo baat karta hai tou jhoot bolta hai taakeh woh us kay zarie logon ko hansae, us kay lie halakat hai us kay lie halakat hai aur us kay lie halakat hai ” [Ahmad]

Aur isse buri jhooti qasam uthana hai jesa keh Allah ta’ala ne munafiqeen kay muta’alliq farmaya:

وَيَحْلِفُونَ عَلَى ٱلْكَذِبِ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ۞

“Woh jhooti qasam kha jate hain halan keh woh jante hain”

Al-Mujadila 58: 14

Sahih Bukhari mein hai RasullAllah ﷺ ne farmaya:

“3 qisam kay log hain Allah Roz-e-Qayamat un se kalam karega na unhen paak karega aur un kay lie dardnak azaab hoga aik woh aadmi jis kay pas koi zaaid cheez (paani) ho tou woh use musafiron se rok leta hai, aik woh aadmi jo kisi ko sauda farokht karta hai aur Allah ki qasam uthata hai keh us ne use itni qeemat par khareeda hai halan keh us ne usko us batai hui qeemat kay elawa qeemat par khareeda hota hai, aik woh aadmi jo dunia ki khatir imamo hukumran ki ba’it karta hai agar woh usko is (dunia) mein se kuch de deta hai tou wafa karta hai aur agar woh use kuch nahin deta tou woh usse be wafai nahin karta hai”

Aur Aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Sab se bari be wafai yeh hai keh tum apne bhai se koi bat karo jab keh woh us kay muta’alliq tumhen sacha samajhta ho , jab keh tum us kay zarie usse jhoot bolte ho”

“Allah par jhoot bandhne kay mutaradif hai keh aadmi apni ankhon ko woh cheez dikhae (jhoota khuwab bayan kare) jo unhon ne dekhk nahin” [Bukhari: 3509]

Iska ma’aani yeh hai keh woh shakhs kahe: main ne apne khuwab mein yeh kuch dekha hai jab keh us ne kuch bhi na dekha ho

Ibne Mas’ood رضي الله عنهما ne farmaya:

Banda jhoot bolta rehta hai aur jhoot ka qasad karta hai hatta keh us kay dil par siyah nukta laga dia jata hai hatta keh uska dil bilkul siyah hojata hai aur woh Allah kay haan jhooton mein likh dia jata hai [Malik]

Pas musalman ko chahie keh woh apni zaban ko kalam se mehfuz rakhe, siwae aise kalam kay jis mein maslihat zahir ho pas sukoot (khamoshi) mein salamti hai aur salamti kay masawi koi cheez nahin

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه se riwayat hai aap ne farmaya:

“Jo shakhs Allah aur yaume akhirat par iman rakhta ho use chahie keh woh bhalai ki bat kare warna khamosh rahe” [Bukhari]

Pas is hadith ki sehet par imam Bukhari aur imam Muslim رحمهم الله ka ittefaq hai, yeh us par nas sareeh hai keh insan ko chahie keh jab woh kalam kare tou woh khair par mabni hona chahie aur kalame khair woh hai jis mein mutakallim kay lie uski maslihat zahir ho

Abu Musa Ash’ari (Abdullah bin Qais) bayan karte hain main ne arz kia Allah kay

Rasul! Kon sa musalman afzal hai? Aap ne farmaya:

“Jiski zaban aur hath se dusre musalman mehfuz hon” [Malik]

Aur sahihain mein hai:

“Aadmi koi kalimah adaa karta hai jis mein woh ghauro fikar nahin karta (keh woh haram par mabni hai) lekin woh uski wajah se is qadar door Jahannum mein chala jata hai jis qadar mashriqo maghreb kay darmian doori hai”

Bilal bin Haris Al muzni رضي الله عنه se riwayat hai keh RasullAllah ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Aadmi Allah ta’ala ki razamandi wala kalimah adaa karta hai us kay wehmo guman mein bhi nahin tha keh yeh kalimah is maqam tak pohonch jaega jahan woh pohonch gaya, Allah ta’ala us kalime ki wajah se us shakhs kay lie us din tak kay lie apni razamandi likh deta hai jis roz woh usse mulaqat karega aur aadmi Allah ta’ala ki narazgi wala kalimah adaa karta hai aur uska guman nahin tha keh yeh wahan tak pohonch jaega jahan tak yeh pohonch gaya Allah ta’ala us kalime ki wajah se us shakhs kay lie us din tak kay lie jis din woh usse mulaqat karega, apni narazi likh deta hai” [Bukhari; Muslim]

Ham ne jis tarah zikar kia hai is tarah bohot si sahih ahadith hain aur is mein ham ne jo ishara kia hai woh kafi hai, kisi se sawal kia gaya, tum ne Ibne Adam mein kitne uyoob paae? Us ne kaha: woh shumar se ziada hain, main ne jo shumar kie hain woh 8 hazar hain aur main ne aik aisi khaslat paai hai agar use apnaa lia jae tou woh tamam uyoob ko chupa leti hai aur woh hai zaban ki hifazat, Allah hamen apni nafarmani se bachae aur ham ko aise umoor mein burooe kaar lae jis se woh raazi hota hai kyun keh woh sakhi daata fayyaz hai

NASEEHAT:

ae bande! Tujh par teri umar se ziada aziz koi cheez nahin lekin tu use zaya kar raha hai, shaitan ki tarah tera koi dushman nahin lekin tu uski ita’at karta hai, Tere nafs ki muwafqat se ziada nuqsan deh koi cheez nahin aur tu usse dosti lagata hai, salamti ki gharion kay siwa koi poonji nahin aur tu us mein israf karta hai, Teri umar ka behtreen hissa tou guzar chuka , zulfen saafaid hone kay ba’ad kia baqi bacha hai? Hazir badan aur ghaib dil wale! Burhape ka aa jana tamam masaaib ka jame’ hai, bachpan aur piyaron ki muhabbat se door jata raha, ab tou wa’zo naseehat aur dant dapat karne kay lie burhapa kafi hai, ae ghafil! Yeh behtreen manaqib mein se hai, Azeem mutalibe kay khauf se rona kahan hai?

Woh khel kay maidan mein zaya ho jane wala zamana kahan hai? Main ne awaqib kay akhir mein dekha, jesa keh Qayamat mein gunahon par, jinko katib ki kitab ne likh lia tha, behte aansuon ko dekha jab main hisab dene kay lie moqaf mein khara honga aur mujhe kaha jaega keh tumne tamam umoore wajib mein kia kiya? Tou us waqt meri kia halat hogi? Aur mera kon hoga jo mere faide ki baat kar sake? Tum nijat ki umeed rakhte ho jab keh tum hama waqt khelon mein mashghool rehte ho, jab aarzuen zanne kaazib may sath tere pas aen , maut tamam masharib se ziada sakht hai, woh fauji daston kay seenon mein apni talkhi kay jaam undelegi, pas apne nafs ka khayal kar aur ghaib kay aane wale ka intizar kar, woh bharpoor andaz mein aega aur durust (nishane par lagne wala) teer phenkega, ae umeed karne wale! Yeh keh tu masaaib se mehfuz rahega keh tu ne makri kay jala bunne ki tarah ghar banaya hai, woh shah sawar kahan gae, maut ne un par tamam raste tang kar die aur thori hi dair ba’ad tu bhi masaaib ka haleef banne wala hai pas dekh aur ajaaib kay runuma hone se pehle ghauro fikar aur tadabbur kar.

Telling lies

 Allah Most High states,

 {Then let us earnestly pray and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!}

 (Al-‘Imran: 61)

 {Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies!}

(Ghafir: 28)

{Cursed be the conjecturers (the liars).}

(Al-Dhariyat: 10)

On the authority of Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), “the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “Adhere firmly to truthfulness for truthfulness surely leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise, and a man is recorded with Allah as a sincere one as long as he is truthful.

However, lying leads to immorality and immorality leads to the Hell-Fire, and a man is recorded with Allah as a liar as long as he lies.”¹

He (pbuh) also said, “Three are the signs of the hypocrite, even if he prays, fasts, and pretends to be a Muslim: When he talks, he lies; when he makes a promise he breaks it; and when he is given a trust, he betrays it”²

In another narration it is reported on the authority of ‘ Abdullah Ibn ‘Vmar that the Prophet (pbuh) said,”Four traits if found together in a person make him a hypocrite. Whoever has one of these, possesses one of the hypocritical characteristics until he renounces it: When he speaks, he lies; when he draws a contract,he breaches it, When he makes a promise, he breaks it; and he abuses his opponents in time of dispute.”³

AI-Bukhari reported in his Sahih the following hadith on the authority of Samarah Ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him):

“The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) used to ask, “Did anyone of you see a dream?” So those whom Allah wished to tell would narrate dreams to him. One morning the Prophet (pbuh) said, “Last night two persons came to me in a dream and woke me up and said to me, ‘Proceed!’ I set out with them… And we came to a man laying flat on his back and another man standing over his head with an iron hook, and behold, he would put the hook in one side of man’s mouth and tear off that side of his face to the back of the neck and

similarly tear his nose from front to back and his eyes from front to back. Then he turned to the other side of the man’s face and did just as he had done with the other side. He hardly completed this side when the other side returned to its normal state. Then he returned to repeat what he had done before. I said to my two companions, ‘Glory be to Allah! Who are these two persons?’… They said, ‘This man is the symbol of the person who goes out of his house in the morning and tells so many lies that it spreads all over the world. ‘”

Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) also said,

“The believer may be naturally disposed to any shortcoming except treachery and lying.”¹

Other hadith states,

“Beware of suspicion for suspicion is the most untruthful of speech.”²

“There are Three types of people with whom Allah would neither speak to on the Day of Judgment, nor would He look towards them, nor would He purify them (from sins) and there would be a tormenting chastisement for them: The aged adulterer, the lying ruler and the destitute who is full of pride.”³

“Woe to the one who tells lies to make people laugh. Woe to him, woe to him.”⁴

False oaths are more heinous than the normal lying. Allah says about the character of the hypocrites:

{And they swear to falsehood knowingly.}

(AI-Mujadilah: 14)

Furthermore, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“There are three people whom Allah will not speak to, look at, or exonerate on the Day of Judgment, and who will have a painful torment: he who withholds what he has of excessive water from a traveler in the desert, he who sells merchandise after Asr (Late Afternoon) swearing by Allah that he paid more for it than he actually did, and a man gives the pledge to a governor only for the sake of this world,’ he will only be loyal if he gets something of this worldly life.”⁵

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “!t is a grievous treachery to tell your brother lies when he believes what you say.”⁶

A Hadith states, “Whoever claimed to have seen a vision while he is lying, on the Day of Judgment he will be commanded to tide two hairs which is impossible.”⁷

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,

“The worst sin in the sight of Allah is the false witness.”¹

Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “A servant insists on lying until a black dot be stamped over his heart and so his heart would be stamped as a whole with black color. With Allah such servant would be recorded as a liar.”²

The Muslim, therefore, is required to utter only the good words to be safe from error. Al-Bukhari reported on the authority of Abu Huriarah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “Whoever believes in Allah and in the Last Day should utter only good word or he should keep silent.”

This agreed upon hadith indicates clearly that a person should not speak except with what seems to him as good.

Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said that, “I asked the Messenger of Allah, ‘0 Messenger of Allah! Who amongst Muslims is the most charitable?’ He (pbuh) responded, “The one who from his tongue and hands Muslims are safe.”³

It is reported in the two Sahihs that, “A servant may utter a word while he is unaware of its consequences, by it he would be thrown in Hell for a distance more far than the distance between the east and west.”

Bilal Ibn Al-Harith Al-Muzani said the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) declared, “A man may speak a word out of Allah’s Pleasure while he is unaware of its fruits, by which Allah decree pleasure for that man until he meets Him. On the other hand, a man may speak a word out of Allah’s wrath while he is unaware of its consequences, by which Allah decree for him displeasure until he meets Him. “

Once a righteous man was questioned about the number of Man’s faults. Thereupon, he answered,”Man’s faults are innumerable but I know 8000 faults. However, man can conceal these numerous faults through keeping silent with the exception of good speak.
