50. ZULM-O-ZIYADATI [Transgression]

ZULM O ZIYADTI

 

Allah ta’ala ne farmaya:

 

إِنَّمَا ٱلسَّبِيلُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَظْلِمُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ وَيَبْغُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ۞

 

“Ilzam tou un par hai jo logon par zulm karte hain aur mulk mein nahaq fasad phelate hain un logon kay lie dardnak azaab hai”

Ash- Shura 42 : 42

 

Ayyaz bin Hammad bayan karte hain Nabi ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Allah ne meri taraf wahi ki hai keh tum tawazu’ ikhtiyar karo hatta keh koi kisi par zulm kare na koi kisi par fakhar kare” [1]

Aur kisi Sahabi ka qaul hai: agar koi Pahar kisi Pahar par zulm kare tou Allah un mein se zulmo ziadti karne wale ko Reza reza karde

Abu Bakr bayan karte hain aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Zulmo ziadti aur qata’ rehmi kay elawa koi gunah is laaiq nahin keh Allah us kay murtakib ko dunia mein bhi saza de aur us kay elawa usko akhirat kay lie bhi zakheera karde”

Jab Qaroon ne apni qaum par zulm kia tou Allah ne usko zameen mein dhansa dia, Allah ta’ala ne apne farman mein iska zikar farmaya:

اِنَّ قَارُوۡنَ كَانَ مِنۡ قَوۡمِ مُوۡسٰى فَبَغٰى عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ مِنَ الۡكُنُوۡزِ مَاۤ اِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهٗ لَـتَـنُوۡٓاُ بِالۡعُصۡبَةِ اُولِى الۡقُوَّة اِذۡ قَالَ لَهٗ قَوۡمُهٗ لَا تَفۡرَحۡ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الۡفَرِحِيۡنَ‏ ۞ وَابۡتَغِ فِيۡمَاۤ اٰتٰٮكَ اللّٰهُ الدَّارَ الۡاٰخِرَةَ وَلَا تَنۡسَ نَصِيۡبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنۡيَا وَاَحۡسِنۡ كَمَاۤ اَحۡسَنَ اللّٰهُ اِلَيۡكَ وَلَا تَبۡغِ الۡـفَسَادَ فِى الۡاَرۡضِؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الۡمُفۡسِدِيۡنَ‏ ۞ قَالَ اِنَّمَاۤ اُوۡتِيۡتُهٗ عَلٰى عِلۡمٍ عِنۡدِىۡؕ اَوَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ
قَدۡ اَهۡلَكَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهٖ مِنَ الۡقُرُوۡنِ مَنۡ هُوَ اَشَدُّ مِنۡهُ قُوَّةً وَّاَكۡثَرُ جَمۡعًاؕ وَلَا يُسۡـئَلُ عَنۡ ذُنُوۡبِهِمُ الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ‏ ۞ فَخَرَجَ عَلٰى قَوۡمِهٖ فِىۡ زِيۡنَتِهٖؕ قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ يُرِيۡدُوۡنَ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا يٰلَيۡتَ لَـنَا مِثۡلَ مَاۤ اُوۡتِىَ قَارُوۡنُۙ اِنَّهٗ لَذُوۡ حَظٍّ عَظِيۡمٍ‏ ۞ وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡعِلۡمَ وَيۡلَـكُمۡ ثَوَابُ اللّٰهِ خَيۡرٌ لِّمَنۡ اٰمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًـا ۚ وَلَا يُلَقّٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الصّٰبِرُوۡنَ‏ ۞فَخَسَفۡنَا بِهٖ وَبِدَارِهِ الۡاَرۡضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهٗ مِنۡ فِئَةٍ يَّـنۡصُرُوۡنَهٗ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُنۡتَصِرِيۡنَ‏ ۞

 

“Qaroon dar haqeeqat Musa ki qaum mein se tha magar us ne un par zulm karna shuru kia….. Aur ham ne usko aur us kay Ghar ko zameen mein dhansa dia “

(Al Qasas: 76-81)

 

Ibnul Jauzi ne farmaya: Qaroon kay zulm kay baare mein aqwal hain:


1) us ne aik zaania aurat kay lie in’aam muqarrar kia keh woh Musa عليه السلام par apne baare mein tohmat lagae, pas us ne aise kia tou Musa عليه السلام ne us kay da’we par Qasam talab ki tou us ne Qaroon kay stah apne qisse kay baare mein unhen bataya aur yeh uska zulm tha, yeh Ibne Abbas ka qaul hai

2)Dahhak ne farmaya: us ne Allah عزوجل kay sath kufur kar kay zulm kia

3) Qatadah ne farmaya: mutlaq kufur kar kay zulm kia

4) Ataa Al khurasani ne farmaya: us ne apne kapre ko balisht barabar lamba kia, woh firaun ki khidmat kia karta tha, us ne bani Israel par ziadti ki aur un par zulm kia, mawardi ne ise hikayat kia


فخسفنا به وبداره الارض


Jab Qaroon ne zaania aurat ko Musa عليه السلام par tohmat lagane ka hukum dia, jese iski sharah bayan ki gai hai, Musa عليه السلام us par naraz hue tou unhon ne us par baddua ki, tou Allah ta’ala ne unki taraf wahi ki main ne zameen ko hukum dedia hai keh woh tumhari ita’at kare, pas ap zameen ko hukum den, Musa عليه السلام ne kaha: zameen! Isko pakar le , tou us ne use pakar lia hatta keh uska takhat ghaib ho gaya, jab Qaroon ne dekha tou Musa عليه السلام se rehem ki apeel karne laga tou unhon ne phir kaha: zameen! Ise pakar le, us ne use pakar lia hatta keh us kay qadam ghaib hogae, woh ye musalsal kehte rahe zameen ise pakar le hatta keh us ne use Ghaib kardia tou Allah ne unki taraf wahi ki, Musa! Meri izzato jalal ki Qasam! Agar woh mujhse fariyad karta tou main uski fariyad rasi karta!

Ibne Abbas رضي الله عنهما ne farmaya: zameen ne usko sab se nichli zameen mein dhansa dia

Samra bin jundab bayan karte hain: use har din Roz-e-Qayamat tak dhansaya jata hai

Maqatil ne kaha: jab Qaroon halak hua tou bani Israel ne kaha: Musa عليه السلام ne uska Ghar aur uska maal lene kay lie use halak Karaya hai, pas Allah ne 3 din ba’ad usko us kay Ghar aur us kay maal samet dhansa dia

فَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ مِن فِئَةٍ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ

Ya’ani woh usko Allah se bachate

 

وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَ 

 

Ya’ani Allah ne us par jo azab nazil kia tha usko rok nahin sakte the
والله أعلم

Ae Allah! Jab tu ne nazre Karam farmai tou main ne ita’at ikhtiyar Karli, jab main ne apne aap ko supurd kardia tou tu ne qubool farma lia, jab tu ne taufeeq ataa farmai tou mujhe rushdo hidayat mil gai aur jab tu ne tanha chordia tou main ranjo gham ka shikar hogaya

Ae Allah! Apni ma’arifat aur hidayat kay Noor ae hamare gunahon ki tareeki dur karde, ae Allah Jin par tu na nazre Karam farmai hai hamen un mein shamil kar le aur jo us kay siwa hai usse dur rakh, ham ko, hamare walidain ko aur tamam musalmanon ko ma’af farma, Ameen

 Excess Against Others

Allah, the Almighty said,{The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a chastisement grievous}

(Ash-Shura: 42)

The Prophet (pbuh) said,”Allah has inspired to me that you are all to be humble and that no one should exalt himself above another.”¹

It is also reported that,”If a mountain transgresses against the other, Allah will make the one that transgressed it into dust.”²

The Prophet (pbuh) also said,”There is no sin whose owner is more deserving to be tortured by Allah in this world along with punishment in the Hereafter than the one who transgresses against others and severs the relation with one’s kin.”²

Allah, the Almighty caused the earth to swallow up Qarun when he transgressed against his people.

Concerning him, Allah the Almighty said, {Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses but he acted insolently towards them.}

(Al-Qasas: 76)

Allah, the Almighty also said,  {Then we caused the earth to swallow up him and his house……………..}

(Al-Qasas: 81)

Ibn Al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy upon him) said, the scholars are in disagreement about the identification of Qarun’s transgression. Ibn ‘Abbas said that he designate for the adulteresses a sum of money to charge Moses (pbuh) with this heinous crime. Ad-Dahak said he transgressed by disbelief in Allah, the Almighty. Qatada said he transgressed through exalting himself. Ata’ Al- Khurasani said, he transgressed through making his clothes longer than the peoples by a span. And Al-Mawrdi said, he served under the Pharaoh and he transgressed and oppressed the children of Israel.

Concerning Allah’s saying” {Then we caused the earth to swallow up him and his house} the scholars said,”When Qarun ordered the adulteresses to charge Moses as previously mentioned, Moses got angry and he supplicated Allah against him. Allah the Almighty revealed to him saying, “I ordered the earth to obey you so order it with whatever you want. Moses said, ‘O earth, swallow him,’ so it swallowed him until his bed was sunk into the earth. When Qarun saw this he entreated Moses by the kinship. But Moses said, ‘O earth,swallow him and it took him until his feet were sunk.’ Moses continued to supplicate until Qarun was completely swallowed by the earth. There upon Allah revealed to him, O Moses how harsh you are. By my honor and Glory, if he entreated me, I would respond to him! Ibn ‘Abbas said, Allah caused the earth to swallow him up until he reached to the lowest earth.

Samrah Ibn Jundub said, whenever the earth swallowed him he would return back to normal and the process would be repeated. Muqatif said, “When Qarun was destroyed, Banu Israel said, “It is Moses who destroyed him to take his property and his house, so Allah caused the earth to swallow him up after three days; {And he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah)} i.e., to protect him from Allah, {Nor could he defend himself} i.e. he could not prevent what Allah has revealed him of chastisement.
