65. KISI UZR KAY BIGHAIR NAMAZ-E-JUMU’AH TARK KARNA [Persisting in abondoning the jumu’ah & group prayer without a valid excuse]

KISI UZUR KAY BAGHER NAMAZE JUMU’AH AUR JAMA’TEN TARK KARNE PAR ISRAAR KARNA

Allah ta’ala ne farmaya:

“Jis din pindli se pardah utha dia jaega aur logon ko sajdeh ki taraf bulaya jaega, tou yeh log sajdah na kar sakenge, unki ankhen jhuki hongi aur un par zillat chaai hogi, aur isse pehle (dunia mein) unko sajdeh ki taraf bulaya jata tha halan keh woh us waqt ache khaase the”

Al-Qalam 68 : 42-43

Ka’ab Al Ahbar ne farmaya: yeh ayat jama’t kay sath namaz parhne se peeche reh Jane walon kay baare mein nazil hui

Imamut taba’een Saeed bin Musayyab ne farmaya: woh log ((حي على الصلاة)) ((حي على الفلاح)) suna karte the lekin jawab nahin dete the (namaz parhne nahin aate the) halan keh woh tandrusto sehetmand hote the

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه se riwayat hai keh RasullAllah ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Us zaat ki Qasam jis kay hath mein Meri jaan hai! Main ne iradah kia keh lakrian ikhatti karne ka hukum dun, phir main namaz ka hukum dun tou us kay lie azan di jae, phir main aik aadmi ko logon ki imamat karane ka hukum dun, aur phir main un logon kay peeche jaun jo jama’t kay sath namaz parhne par nahin aate tou main un par un kay gharon ko aag se jala dun” [ Bukhari; Muslim]

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه bayan karte hain aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Main ne iradah kia keh main naujawanon ko hukum dun keh woh ere lie lakrion ka aik gattha laen, phir main un logon kay pas jaun jo kisi illat kay bagher gharon mein namaz parhte hain, tou main unko jala dun”

Is sahih Hadith aur isse pehle jo ayat bayan hui hai us mein us shakhs kay lie sakht wa’eed hai jo kisi uzur kay bagher ba-jama’t namaz adaa nahin karta, Ibne Abbas رضي الله عنهما bayan karte hain RasullAllah ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Jo shakhs Azan sune aur koi uzur use ba-jama’t namaz adaa karne se maane’ na ho tou us ne jo namaz (Ghar mein) adaa ki hai woh qubool nahin hoti”

Arz kia gaya, Allah kay Rasul! Uzur se kia murad hai? Aap ne farmaya: “khauf ya marz”

Ibne Abbas رضي الله عنهما se riwayat hai keh unse us shakhs kay baare mein pucha gaya jo din kay waqt roza rakhta hai aur rat ko tahajjud parhta hai, lekin woh ba-jama’t namaz adaa karta hai na jumu’ah, tou unhon ne farmaya: agar yeh shakhs faut hojae tou woh Jahannumi hai [Tirmidhi]

Sahih Muslim mein hai keh aik nabeena shakhs Nabi ﷺ ki khidmat mein hazir hua tou us ne arz kia, Allah kay Rasul! Mere pas koi Aisa shakhs nahin jo mujhe masjid tak pohoncha de, tou kia mere lie koi rukhsat hai keh main apne ghar mein namaz parh lun? Aap ne use rukhsat dedi lekin jab woh Jane Laga tou aap ne use bulaya aur farmaya: “kia tum namaz ki azan sunte ho?” Us ne arz kia ji han, aap ne farmaya: “phir masjid mein ao”

Abu Dawood ki riwayat mein hai keh Ibne umme maktoom رضي الله عنه Nabi ﷺ ki khidmat mein ae aur arz kia, Allah kay Rasul! Madina mein bohot se zehreele janwar aur darinde hain, jabkeh main nabeena shakhs hun, tou kia mere lie koi rukhsat hai keh main apne ghar mein namaz parh lun? Tou Nabi ﷺ ne unhen farmaya: “tum حي على الصلاة aur حي على الفلاح sunte ho?” Unhon ne arz Kia, ji han, Ap ne farmaya” phir namaz parhne yahin aao”

Aur aik riwayat mein hai keh unho ne arz kiya: Allah kay Rasool ! Main nabeena shakhs hon, ghar bohat duur hai aur koi mujhe lane wala bhi nahi, tou kia mere liye koi rukhsat hai?

Ibne Abbas رضى الله عنهما bayan karte hain Rasoolullah ﷺ ne farmaya:
“Jo shakhs Azan sune aur us kay jane mein koi uzur man’e na ho (aur wo ghar par namaz parh le) tou us ki namaz nahi hoti.”

Arz kiya gaya Allah kay Rasool ! Uzur kiya? Ap ne farmaya khouf ya marz”
Nabi ﷺ ne farmaya:
“Allah ki teen qisam kay logon par lanat ho’ aik wo shakhs jo logon ki imamat karae jabkeh wo usse na passand karte hun’ aik aurat wo jo raat basar kar de jabkeh us ka khawand us par naraz ho’ aur aik wo shakhs jo “حي على الصلاة” حي على فلاح ” sune aur phir wo namaz parhne na aae “

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه bayan karte hain: Ibne Adam kay kanon mein pighla hua seesa bhar diya jae tou ye us kay liye behtar hai keh wo “حي على الصلاة” “حي على الفلاح” sune aur phir namaz parhne na aae”.

Ali bin Abi Talib رضى الله عنه ne farmaya: Masjid kay parosi srif masjid hi mein hoti hai. Arz kiya gaya’ Masjid ka parosi kon hai?

Aur ham dekhte the keh us se srif wo shakhs peeche rehta tha jis ka munafiq hona ma’loom tha ya wo mareez tha. Aur aise bhi tha keh aadmi ko wo admiyon kay sahare laya jata hatta keh us ko wasf kar diya jata. Ya’ani wo us ki fazilat par hirso koshish karte hue aur us ko tark karne kay gunah par khouf karte hue apne za’af ki waja se un do admiyon ka sahara leta tha.

FASAL:

Ba jama’t namaz parhne ki bohat fazilat hai jaisa keh Allah Ta’la kay is farman ki tafseer mein hai.

“Aur albattah ham ne nasihat karne kay ba’ad zaboor mein likh diya hai keh zameen kay waaris mere naik bande hain.”

Al-Anbiya 21 : 105

Naik bandon se murad wo log hain jo panchon namazen ba jamat ada karte hain. Aur Allah ta’ala kay farman:

“Aur wo jo kuch aage bhejte hain aur jo kuch chor jate hain, ham us ko likh lete hain”

Ya Sin 36: 12

Us se murad un kay qadam hain jo namaz kay liye jate waqt uthte hain. Ham unhen likh lete hain Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه se riwayat hai keh Rasoolullah ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Jo shakhs apne ghar mein wuzu kare, phir Allah kay faraiz mein se kisi fareeze ki adaigi kay liye Allah kay gharon mein se kisi ghar ki taraf chale tou us kay jo uthne wale qadam hain,

Un mein se aik qadam uski khata mitata hai aur dusra darjah buland karta hai, phir jab woh namaz parh leta hai, tou woh jab tak apni us jagah par betha rehta hai Jahan us ne namaz parhi thi, aur jab tak woh us dauran takleef pohonchae na is asnaa mein uska wuzu toote, tou farishte us kay lie duaen karte hain:

“Ae Allah! Isko bakhsh de, ae Allah! Is par rehem farma” [Bukhari]

Aur Aap ﷺ ne farmaya:

“Kia main tumhen aisa Amal na bataun jis kay karne se Allah khataen ma’af karta hai aur darajat buland karta hai?” Unhon ne arz kia kyun nahin, Allah kay Rasul! Zarur bataen, aap ne farmaya:

“Nagawari kay bawajud achi tarah mukammal wuzu karna, masajid ki taraf ziada chal kar Jana aur namaz kay ba’ad dusri namaz ka intezar karna, pas yeh ribaat hai pas yeh ribaat hai ” [Muslim]

“Ar ribaat” ka ma’aani sarhad par muqeem hona hai.”

Constantly Missing the Friday and Congregational Prayer Without a Valid Excuse

Allah Most High says,{The Day that the shin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to prostrate, but they shall not be able. Their eyes will be cast down–ignomity will cover them, seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).}

(Al-Qalam: 42-43)

Ka’b Al-Ahbar said, this Ayah is only revealed concerning those who miss the congregational prayers.

Sa’id Ibn Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said, “Those people heard the call to prayer and did not respond while they were whole.”

The Prophet (pbuh) said,

“By Him in Whose Hands is my soul, I have considered having wood gathered when the call to prayer is made and going myself to those who stay back from attending the congregational prayer to burn their houses down upon them. “

In the aforementioned Ayah and hadith there is a severe warning waiting for those who miss the congregational prayer without excuse.

Ibn ‘ Abbas related that the Prophet (pbuh) said,

“Whoever hears the caller to prayer and does not have a valid excuse that withholds him from responding.

Someone asked what is an excuse, Messenger of Allah? He said. “Fear or sickness,” will not have his prayer accepted i.e., the prayer, which he performed at home.

At-Tirmidhi related on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) who was asked about a man who spends the day fasting and the night praying but he does not pray in a congregation. Ibn Abbas answered, if he dies adhering to that, he will enter the Hell fire. “

Once, a blind man came to the Prophet (pbuh) and submitted, “0 Messenger of Allah, I have nobody to lead me to mosque, do I have a dispension to pray at home? Then the Prophet permitted him. But when he was going back the Prophet called him and asked, do you hear the call to prayer? The man replied, yes. “Therefore respond to it.” the Prophet said.”

The same hadith is reported by Abu Dawud as follows: Ibn Umm Maktum came to the Prophet (pbuh) and said,”0 Messenger of Allah, there are large number of reptiles and beasts in Medina and I am blind, do I have a dispension to pray at home? Then the Prophet (pbuh) said, do you hear the words of the call to prayer (haiyaala salah, haiyaala salah). He said, yes.”

The Prophet said, then you have to respond to. Another narration states that,

“0 Messenger of Allah, I am a blind man and live far away from the mosque and love an inconvenient guide, do I have dispension? “Whoever hears the call to prayer and no excuse withholds him to respond will not have his prayer accepted. They asked, 0 Messenger of Allah, what is an excuse? He said, fear or sickness. “

“May Allah curse three people: he who leads a group of people who hate him, a woman who spends a night angry with her husband, and a man who hears the call to prayer and does not answer. “

Abu Hurairah said, it is better for one’s ears to be filled with molten lead than to hear the call to prayer and not answer it.”

Ali Ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “The prayers performed by a neighbor of a mosque are not accepted except in the mosque.” Someone asked, who is a neighbor of a mosque? He replied, he who hears the call to prayer.” Ali also said, whoever hears the call to prayer and does not respond his prayer will not go further than his head except if he has an excuse.”

Ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him said, whoever likes to meet Allah as a Muslim should keep on performing the five prayers when the call to them is issued. This is because, Allah has given your Prophet the traditions of guidance (Sunna) and they (the five prayers) belong to such traditions. If you pray at home as does the one who remisses the prayer, then you neglect the Prophet’s Sunna. If you neglect the Prophet’s Sunna you will be astray. Verily, none of us would miss the congregational prayer but a well-known hypocrite or a sick man. I remember that a man would be brought leaning on two men and put in the raw to attain its reward and escape the sins of missing it.”

Performing prayers in congregation is so great as mentioned in Qur’an Allah most high says,

{Before this We wrote in the psalms, after the message given to Moses): “My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth.}

(AI-Anbiya’: 105)

The exegetes said that the righteous servants are those who perform the five prayers in congregation. In explaining Allah’s statement,

{And we record that which they leave behind.}

(Yasin: 12)

The exegetes said, “What they leave behind” means then steps.

The Prophet (pbuh) said,”Whoever purifies himself (makes his ablution) at home and then goes to one of the houses of Allah (mosque) to discharge his duty to Allah (to offer obligatory prayers) his one step towards a mosque wipes out a sin and another step rises his status”. If he

continues sitting on prayer -carpet, after prayer is over, and he remains with ablutions, the angels beseech Allah for his blessings upon him and pray. /’ Allah! Forgive him! Allah have mercy on him.”¹

“May I tell you something thereby, Allah will remit your sins, and thereby your position will be raised.

The companions said, “Do tell us ‘O Messenger of Allah! He said, “Performing the ablution properly, going to the mosque frequently for prayers even in difficult and distressing circumstances and waiting for the next prayer after one is over. This is your Jihad in the cause of Allah.”²
