Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام Ka Nam-O-Nasab Aur Samood Ka Ilaqa

 

Samood aik mash’hoor qabeele ka nam hai. Yeh Jadlees ke bhai Samood ki nasal hein. Yeh donon Aasir ke bete thay, Jo Irum ka beta tha aur Irum, Nooh علیہ السلام ke bete Saam ka beta tha.

Yeh Daur-e-Qadeem ki khalis Arbi qoam se thay. In ki rihaaish Tabook aur Hijaaz ke darmiyan Hijar ke muqam par thi jise Madaain-e-Saleh bhi kaha jata hai. Yeh ilaqa Khaleej Uqba ke Mashriq mein waq’e shehar Madyan ke Junoob mashriq mein waq’e hai. Qoam-e-Samood ke makanaat us ilaqe mein pahadon mein khude huaye saaf nazar aate hein. Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم Sahabah رضی اللہ عنہما ke hamrah Tabook jate waqat is maqm se guzre thay.

Jaisa keh Hadees mein hai Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم jab Sahabah رضی اللہ عنہم ke hamrah Tabook tashreef le gaye to Maqam-e-Hijar mein Samood ke (weeraan) gharon ke qareeb farukash huaye. Logon ne un kunwon se pani le liya jo Samood ke Zair-e-Isti’amaal rahe thay. Unhon ne (us pani se) aata goondh liya aur (goshat pakane ke liye aag par) degein chadha deein. Rsoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne hukam diya to degein ulat di gaien aur aata uonton ko khila diya geya. Phir Nabi Kareem صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم Sahabah رضی اللہ عنہم ke hamrah wahan se rawana ho kar us kunwien ke pas ja thehre jahan se uontni pani piya karti thi. Ap صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne un logon ke (weeraan) gharon mein dakhil hone se mana’a farmaya jin par Allah ka azaab nazil huwa tha farmaya: Mein darta hoon keh tum par bhi wesa azaab na aa jaye jaisa un par aaya tha, Is liye un ke ilaqe mein dakhil na huwa karo. Hazrat Abdullah Bin Umar رضی اللہ عنہ se riwayat hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne Maqam-e-Hijar mein irshad farmaya: (In azaab yaafta logon ke ilaqe mein (dakhil hona pade to) siraf rote huaye dakhil huwa karo, Agar rona na aaye to un ke ilaqe mein dakhil na hona, Kahin tum par bhi azaab na aa jaye jo un par nazil huwa tha. (Musnad-e-Ahmed: 2/114, wa Sahih-ul-Bukhari, Al Salah, Boob-ul-Salati Fi Mawaz-e-Al Khasaf wal Azaab, Hadees: 433, wa Sahih Muslim , Al-Zuhad-ul-Nahi An-al-Dukhooli Ala Ahl-al-Hijar……,  Hadees: 2980.)

 

In ka zamana Qoam-e-Aad ke ba’ad ka hai aur Samood, Aad ki tarah but parast thay.

 

Ba’az Hazraat ne kaha hai keh Ahal-e-Kitab in donon qoamon (Aad aur Samood) ke halaat se waqif nahin thay kiyoun keh un ki kitab Tauraat mein un ka zikr nahin. Lekin Qurran-e-Majeed ke bayan se ma’aloom hota hai keh Moosa علیہ السلم ne apni qoam ko Aad-o-Samood ke bare mein bataya tha. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

وَقَالَ مُوْسٰٓى اِنْ تَكْفُرُوْٓا اَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا  ۙ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَغَنِيٌّ حَمِيْدٌ    Ď۝ اَلَمْ يَاْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوْحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوْدَ  ټ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ړ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ  ۭ جَاۗءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ

 

“Aur Moosa ne ( saf saf) keh diya keh agar tum aur jitne aur log zameen mein hein, Sab ke sab nashukri karo to Allah phir bhi be-neyaz (aur) Qabil-e-Ta’areef hai. Bhala tum ko un logon (ke halaat) ki khabar nahin pohanchi jo tum se pehle thay ya’ani Qoam-e-Nooh aur Aad aur Samod aur jo un ke ba’ad thay jin ka ilam Allah ke siwa kisi ko nahin. Un ke pas Paighembar mo’ajaze le kar aaye.” (Ibraheem: 14/8-9)

Yeh poori bat Moosa علیہ السلام ne apni qoam se farmaai thi. Lekin choonkeh yeh donon qoamein Ahal-e-Arab mein se thien is liye Ahal-e-Kitab ne in ke halaat ko achi tarah ma’aloom nahin kiya, Na unhein yad rakhne ko koi ahmiyat di, Halankeh Moosa علیہ السلام ke zamane mein un qoamon ke halaat un mein mash’hoor thay. Hum ne tafseer mein is mozoo’a par tafseel se kalaam kiya hai.

Is waqat Samood ka waqia bayan karna maqsood hai keh un ka kaya moamila huwa. Allah T’aala ne Apne Nabi Saleh علیہ السلام aur Mominon ko kis tarah nijat di aur jin zalimon ne Kufar-Sarkashi ka raasta ikhtiyar karte huaye apne Rasool ki mukhalifat ki thi, Kaise unhein tabah kiya.

Hum pehle bayan kar chuke hein keh woh Arbi qoam thay aur un ka zamana Aad ke ba’ad ka hai. Lekin unhon ne Aad ke waqiaat se ibrat hasil na ki.

Bayan kiya jata hai keh is qoam ke logon ki umrein bahut taweel thien. Aadmi matti se ghar banata to us ki moat se pehle woh ghar gir padta. Chunanchah unhon ne pahad khod kar ghar banane shuru kar diye.

Allah T’asla ne unhi mein se apne aik bande ko Nubuwwat ke mansab par faaiz kar ke un ki taraf bheja. Us Nabi ka nam Saleh Bin Ubaid Bin Masih Bin Ubaid Bin Haadir Bin Samood Bin Aasir Bin Irum Bin Saam Bin Nooh علیہ السلام tha.

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام Ki Be’asat-o-Da’awat Aur Sardaraan-E-Qoam Ka Rawayya

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ne qoam ko is bat ki da’awat di keh Allah Wahdahu La Shareek ki ibaadat karein. Button se kinara kashi karein aur Allah ke sath kisi ko shareek na banaein. Kuch log iman le aaye lekin aksar ne kufar kiya aur Zuban-o-Amal se unhein azziyat di, Unhein shaheed karne ka parogram banaya aur us uontani ko qatal kar diya jise Allah T’aala ne Saleh علیہ السلام ki sachai ki daleel ke tor par paida farmaya tha. Chunanchah Allah T’asla ne unhein shaded garifat mein le liya. Allah T”aala ne Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ki da’awat ka tazkira Soora-e-A’araaf mein yoon kiya, Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

وَاِلٰي ثَمُوْدَ اَخَاهُمْ صٰلِحًا  ۘ قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗ 

 

“Aur qoam-e-Samod ki taraf un ke bhai Saleh ko bheja (to) Saleh ne kaha aye meri qoam! Allah hi ki ibaadat karo, Us ke siwa tumara koi ma’abood nahin.” (Al-A’araf: 7/73)

 

Aur phir mazeed farmaya:

 

وَاذْكُرُوْٓا اِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاۗءَ مِنْۢ بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَّبَوَّاَكُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُوْنَ مِنْ سُهُوْلِهَا قُصُوْرًا وَّتَنْحِتُوْنَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوْتًا  ۚ فَاذْكُرُوْٓا اٰلَاۗءَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِدِيْنَ   74؀ قَالَ الْمَلَاُ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْا مِنْ قَوْمِهٖ لِلَّذِيْنَ اسْتُضْعِفُوْا لِمَنْ اٰمَنَ مِنْهُمْ اَتَعْلَمُوْنَ اَنَّ صٰلِحًا مُّرْسَلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖ  ۭقَالُوْٓا اِنَّا بِمَآ اُرْسِلَ بِهٖ مُؤْمِنُوْنَ   75؀ قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَكْبَرُوْٓا اِنَّا بِالَّذِيْٓ اٰمَنْتُمْ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوْنَ   76؀

 

Aur yad karo jab us ne tum ko Qoam-e-Aad ke ba’ad sardaar banaya aur zameen par aabad kiya keh naram zameen se (matti le le kar) Mahal ta’ameer karte ho aur pahadon ko taraash taraash kar ghar banate ho. Pus Allah ki nai’maton ko yad karo aur zameen mein fasaad na karte phiro. Un ki qoam ke sardaar log jo guaroor rakhte thay, Ghareeb logon se, Jo un mein se iman le aaye thay, Kehne lage: Bhala tum yaqeen karte ho keh Saleh apne Parwardigaar ki taraf se bheje gaye hein? Unhon ne kaha: Han jo cheez Woh de kar bheje gaye hein hum us par bila’shubha iman rakhte hein. To maghroor (sardaar) kehne lage keh jis cheez par tum iman laaye ho hum us ko nahin maante.” (Al-A’araaf: 7/74-76)

Ya’ani Allah ne tumein Aad ke janasheen banaya hai takeh tum un ke halaat se ibrat hasil karo aur un jaise amal na karo. Allah ne tumhein yeh zameen ata farmai jis ke maidanon mein tum mahallaat ta’ameer karte ho aur pahad taraash kar badi mahaarat, Kareegari air pukhtagi ke sath makaan banate ho. Lihaza Allah ki is nai’mat ke iwaz shukar aur naik amal karo, Us ki ibaadat karo, Us ke sath shirak na karo, Us ke ahkaam ki mukhalifat karte huaye us ki itaa’at se roo’gardaani na karo kiyoun keh is rawish ka anjaam bahut khatarnaak hai.

 

Qoam Ko Taubah Ki Talqeen:

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ne qoam ko button ki pooja se roka aur deegar gunahon se taubah ki talqeen ki lekin na’farmaan qoam ne pehle se bhi zayada sar’kashi ka muzahira kiya. Soora-e-Hood mein Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

وَاِلٰي ثَمُوْدَ اَخَاهُمْ صٰلِحًا   ۘ قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗ  ۭ هُوَ اَنْشَاَكُمْ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيْهَا فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ ثُمَّ تُوْبُوْٓا اِلَيْهِ  ۭ اِنَّ رَبِّيْ قَرِيْبٌ مُّجِيْبٌ   61 ؀ قَالُوْا يٰصٰلِحُ قَدْ كُنْتَ فِيْنَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ ھٰذَآ اَتَنْهٰىنَآ اَنْ نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ اٰبَاۗؤُنَا وَاِنَّنَا لَفِيْ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُوْنَآ اِلَيْهِ مُرِيْبٍ     62؀ قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اَرَءَيْتُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُ عَلٰي بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّيْ وَاٰتٰىنِيْ مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً فَمَنْ يَّنْصُرُنِيْ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اِنْ عَصَيْتُهٗ ۣ فَمَا تَزِيْدُوْنَنِيْ غَيْرَ تَخْسِيْرٍ    63؀

 

“Aur Samood ki taraf un ke bhai Saleh ko bheja, Unhon ne kaha aye meri qoam! Allah hi ki ibaadat karo, Us ke siwa tumhara koi ma’abood nahin, Usi ne tum ko zameen se paida kiya aur us mein aabad kiya so us se maghfirat mango aur us ke aagay taubah karo. Beshak mera Parwardigaar nazdek (bhi hai aur dua ka) qabool karne wala bhi hai. Unhon ne kaha keh Saleh! Is se pehle hum tum se (kai tarah ki) umeedein rakhte thay (ab woh munqata’a ho gaien) kaya tum hum ko un cheezon ko poojne se mana’a karte ho jin ko hamare bazurag poojte aaye hein? Aur jis bat ki taraf tum humein bulate ho us mein humein sakhat shubah hai. Saleh ne kaha: Aye qoam! Bhala dekho to agar mein Apne Rab ki taraf se khuli daleel par hoon aur us ne mujhe Apne han se (Nubuwwat ki) ne’amat bakhshi, Phir agar mein Allah ki na’farmani karoon to us ke samne meri kon madad kare ga? Tum to ( kufar ki baton se) mera nuqsan hi badha rahe ho.” (Hood: 11/61-63)

Allah hi ne tumhein zamen se paida kiya aur tumhein is ke aabad karne wale banaya. Ya’ani zameen mein jo faslein aur phal hein, Woh tumhein diye, Is liye Wahi Khaliq aur Raziq hai, Aur Wahi akaila ibaadat ka mustahiq hai, Na keh doosari cheezein aur afraad.

فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ ثُمَّ تُوْبُوْٓا اِلَيْهِ   “So usi se bakhshish mango, Phir us ke aagay taubah karo.” Ya’ani tum jo bad a’amaaliyan kar rahe ho, Unhein chod kar Allah ki ibaadat mein mashghool ho jao, Woh taubah qabool kar ke tumhein ma’aaf farma de ga.اِنَّ رَبِّيْ قَرِيْبٌ مُّجِيْبٌ  “Mera Rabb yaqinan qareeb hai aur qabool karne wala hai.”

Is moqa’a par ap ne naram lehje aur naram alfaaz mein bat ki aur unhein naiki ki taraf bulane mein khubsoorat andaaz ikhtiyar kiya aur farmaya: Tumhara kaya khayal hai keh agar moamila sach much wese hi huwa jaise mein kehta hoon to tum Allah ke han kaya uzar paish kar sako gay? Us ke darbaar mein tum kaise jan chuda sako gay? Tum mujh se mutalaba karte ho keh mein tumhein us ki taraf bulana chod doon. Mere liye yeh qat’an mumkin nahin, Kiyoun keh yeh mujh par faraz hai. Agar mein us ki adaigi tarak kar doon to mujhe Allah ke azaab se na tum bacha sako gay na koi aur meri madad kar sake ga. Is liye mein tumhein Allah Wahdahu La Shareek ki taraf bulata rahoon ga, Hatta keh Allah T’aala mere aur tumhare darmiyan faisila kar de.

 

Soorat-ul-Sho’ara’a mein Da’awat-e-Saleh ka tazkara youn kiya geya hai. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ   ١٤١؀ښ اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ صٰلِحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ   ١٤٢؀ۚ اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ ١٤٣؀ۙ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ ١٤٤؀ۚ وَمَآ اَسْـَٔــلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ  ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰي رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   ١٤٥؀ۭ اَتُتْرَكُوْنَ فِيْ مَا هٰهُنَآ اٰمِنِيْنَ  ١٤٦؀ۙ فِيْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍ   ١٤٧؀ۙ وَّزُرُوْعٍ وَّنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيْمٌ ١٤٨؀ۚ وَتَنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا فٰرِهِيْنَ   ١٤٩؀ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ   ١٥٠؀ۚ وَلَا تُطِيْعُوْٓا اَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِيْنَ   ١٥١؀ۙ الَّذِيْنَ يُفْسِدُوْنَ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُوْنَ ١٥٢؁

 

“Aur Qoam-e-Samood ne bhi paighembaron ko jhutlaya, Jab un ko un ke bhai Saleh ne kaha: Tum darte kiyou nahin? Mein to tumhara amaanatdaar paighembar hoon. So Allah se daro aur mera kaha mano aur mein us ka tum se badla nahin mangta. Mera badla Allah (Rabb-ul-Aalameen ke zimme hai) kaya jo cheezein (tumhein yahan muyassar) hein un mein tum be’khoaf chod diye jao gay? (Y’ani) in baghon, Aur in chashmon, Aur in khaiton aur in khajooron ke baghon mein jin ke shagoofe Naram-o-Nazuk hein. Aur tum takalluf se pahadon mein taraash taraash kar ghar banate ho. So Allah se daro aur mere kehne par chalo aur had se tajawuz karne walon ki bat na mano jo mulak mein fasaad karte hein aur islah nahin karte.” (Al-sho’ara’a: 26/141-152)

 

Qoam Ki Bad’Shugooni:

 

Da’awat-e-Haq ko thamne ki ba’jaye qoam ne Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام aur Ap ke sathiyon se bad’shugooni lena shuru kar di aur fasaad ke liye salah mashwara karne lage. Allah T’aala ne un ki haalat bayan karte huaye farmaya:

 

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلٰى ثَمُوْدَ اَخَاهُمْ صٰلِحًا اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ فَاِذَا هُمْ فَرِيْقٰنِ يَخْتَصِمُوْنَ 45؀ قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ  ۚ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ 46؁ قَالُوا اطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَنْ مَّعَكَ  ۭ قَالَ طٰۗىِٕرُكُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُوْنَ   47؀ وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِيْنَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُّفْسِدُوْنَ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُوْنَ 48؀ قَالُوْا تَقَاسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ لَـنُبَيِّتَـنَّهٗ وَاَهْلَهٗ ثُمَّ لَـنَقُوْلَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهٖ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ اَهْلِهٖ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ 49؀

 

“Aur hum ne Samood ki taraf us ke bhai Saleh ko bheja keh tum sab Allah ki ibaadat karo, Phir bhi woh do fareeq ho kar aapis mein jhagdne lage. Saleh ne kaha keh bhaiyo! Tum bhalai se pehle burai ke liye kiyoun jaldi karte ho (aur) Allah se bakhshish kiyoun nahin mangte takeh tum par reham kiya jaye? Woh kehne lage keh tum aur tumhare sathi hamare liye bura shugoon laaye ho. Saleh ne kaha keh tumhari bad’shugooni Allah ki taraf se hai balkeh tum aise log ho jo fitne mein pade huaye ho. Aur us shehar mein no shakhas thay jo mulak mein fasaad karte thay aur islah se kam nahin lete thay. Unhon ne aapis mein qasmein kha kar ahad kiya keh hum rat ko us par aur us ke ghar walon par shabkhoon marein gay, Phir us ke waris se keh dein gay keh hum Saleh ke ghar walon ke Moqa-e-Halaakat par gaye hi nahin aur hum bilkul such kehte hein.” (Al-Namal: 27/45-49)

 

Allah Ke Nabi Par Rakeek Hamle:

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ki qoam zid par adi rahi aur Da’awat-e-Tauheed ko qabool karne ki ba’jaye apne nabi ki zaat par rakeek hamle shuru kar diye. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِالنُّذُرِ 23؀ فَقَالُوْٓا اَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَاحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهٗٓ ۙ اِنَّآ اِذًا لَّفِيْ ضَلٰلٍ وَّسُعُرٍ 24؀ ءَاُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ اَشِرٌ 25؀ سَيَعْلَمُوْنَ غَدًا مَّنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْاَشِرُ 26؀

 

“Samood ne bhi hidayat karne walon ko jhutlaya aur kaha keh bhala aik aadmi jo hum hi mein se hai hum us ki pairwi karein? Youn ho to hum deewangi aur gumrahi mein pad gaye. Kaya hum sab mein se usi par Wahi nazil hui hai? (nahin) balkeh yeh jhoota khud pasand hai. Un ko kal hi ma’aloom ho jaye ga keh kon jhoota khud pasand hai.” (Al-Qamar: 54/23-26)

 

Qoam-E-Samood Ki Taraf Se Moajize Ka Mutalaba Aur Us Ki Be Hurmati

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ne qoam ko Da’awat-e-Haq di lekin woh inkar par hi musir rahe balke ap ko jadu zada kaha aur yeh bhi kaha keh agar Ap Allah T’aala ke sache Rasool hein to koi mo’ajza ya nishani paish karein. Allah T’aala ne un ke is mutalibe ka Quraan-e-Majeed mein youn zikar kiya hai :

 

قَالُوْٓا اِنَّمَآ اَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِيْنَ   ١٥٣؀ۚ مَآ اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا ښ فَاْتِ بِاٰيَةٍ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ   ١٥٤؁ قَالَ هٰذِهٖ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَّلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ   ١٥٥؀ۚ وَلَا تَمَسُّوْهَا بِسُوْۗءٍ فَيَاْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ   ١٥٦؁ فَعَقَرُوْهَا فَاَصْبَحُوْا نٰدِمِيْنَ   ١٥٧؀ۙ فَاَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۭ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً  ۭ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ ١٥٨؁

 

“Aur (Qoam-e-Samood) kehne lage keh tum Jadu-zada ho, Tum aur kuch nahin, Hamari tarah ke aadmi ho. So agar sache ho to koi nishani paish karo. Saleh ne kaha: (dekho) yeh uontani hai (aik din) us ke peene ki bari hai aur aik muaayan roz tumhari bari hai. Aur us ko koi takleef na dena (nahin to) tum ko sakhat azaab aa pakde ga. Magar unhon ne us ki koonchein kat dalien. Aakhir kar pachtate reh gay. Pus un ko azaab ne aan pakda. Beshak is mein aik nishani hai aur un mein se aksar iman lane wale nahin thay.” (Al-Sho’ara’a: 26/153-158)

 

اِنَّمَآ اَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِيْنَ    Ya’ani Ap par jadu kar diya geya hai. Jis ki wajah se ap ko ma’aloom hi nahin keh Ap kaya kaya kehte rehte hein. Ya’ani tauheed ko ikhtiyar karne aur shirak chodne ki da’awat Ap Aqal-o-Shuoor ke sath nahin de rahe. Aksar Ulma’a ne الْمُسَحَّرِيْنَ     ka yahi matlab bayan kiya hai keh is se murad mas’hoor (jadu se mutasir) hai. Is lafaz ko [الْمُسَحِرِيْنَ    ۚ ] bhi padha gaya hai jis ka matlab yeh hai keh Ap apne dosan jin ke zariye se logon ko mutasir karte hein, Ya’ani Ap jadugar hein. Pehli raye zayada mazboot hai kiyoun keh is ke ba’ad un logon ne kaha: مَآ اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا  “Ap to hum jaise insan hein.”

 

Soorah-e-Qamar mein Irshad-e-Bari T’ala hai:

 

اِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ 27۝ۡ وَنَبِّئْهُمْ اَنَّ الْمَاۗءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ   28؀

 

“(Aye Saleh) Hum un ki aazmaish ke liye uontani bhejne wale hein so tum un ko dekhte raho aur sabar karo aur un ko aagah kar do keh un mein pani ki bari muqarrar kar di gai hai. Har bari wale ko apni bari par aana chahiye.” (Al-Qamar: 54/27-28)

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ne farmaya: Agar mein mutalaba usi andaaz se poora kar doon jaise tum ne kaha hai, To kaya tum waqai us deen par iman le aao gay jo mein laya hoon aur un umoor mein meri tasdeeq karo gay jinhein de kar mujhe mab’oos kiya geya hai ?” Unhon ne kaha: “Han! (hum tujh par iman layein gay aur teri baton ki tasdeeq karein gay.”)

Ap ne un se pukhta Ahad-o-Paimaan le liya. Tab Ap ne khade ho kar namaz ada ki. Phir Allah T’aala se dua ki keh woh un logon ka mutalaba poora farmaye. Allah ke hukam se woh chattan phatt gai aur us mein se aik bahut badi hamila uontani nikli, Jis mein woh tamaam sifat mojood thien, Jo mutalaba karne walon ne bayan ki thi. Jab unhon ne apni aankhon se mo’ajiza zahir hote dekh liya to unhein us ki azmat ka ahsaas huwa aur woh mar’oob ho gaye. Yeh Allah ki qudrat ki aik wazih nishani aur Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ki Nubuwwat ka na Qabil-e-Tardeed suboot tha. Chunanchah qoam ke kuch log iman le aaye. Lekin aksar log Kufar-o-Zalaalat aur hatt dharmi par rahe. Isi liye Allah T’aala ne farmaya: { فظلموا بھا} ya’ani us ka inkaar kiya. Us ko dekh kar haq ki pairwi nahin ki. Is se murad un ki aksariyat ka amal hai.

Woh uontani un mein mojood rahi. Un ke ilaqe mein jahan se chahti charti aur jab kunwein par pani peene jati to kunwein ka sara pani pi leti. Chunanchah log apni bari wale din agle din ke liye bhi pani bhar lete thay. Woh log us ka doodh peete aur woh sab ke liye kafi ho jata. Is liye ap ne un se farmaya: “(aik din) us ke peene ki bari hai aur aik muayyan roz tumhari bari.”

Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai: اِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ “Hum uontani un ke liye aazmaish bana kar bhejne wale hein.” Aazmaish is lihaz se thi keh kaya woh itna bada mo’ajiza dekh kar bhi iman late hein ya nahin? فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ pus intizar kijiye keh un ka anjam kaya hota hai? ” Aur un ki taraf se takleef di jaye to sabar kijiye aur un ko aagah kar dijiye keh un mein pani ki bari muqarrar kar di gai hai. Har (bari wale ko apni) bari par aana chahiye.

 

Aur Saleh علیہ السلام ne farmaya:

 

قَدْ جَاۗءَتْكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ  ۭهٰذِهٖ نَاقَةُ اللّٰهِ لَكُمْ اٰيَةً فَذَرُوْهَا تَاْكُلْ فِيْٓ اَرْضِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوْهَا بِسُوْۗءٍ فَيَاْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ    73؀

 

“Tumhare pas tumhare Parwardigaar ki taraf se aik mo’ajiza aa chuka hai ya’ani Allah ki uontani tumhare liye aik mo’ajiza hai, So usay (aazad) chod do keh Allah ki zameen mein charti phire aurtum usay buri niyyat se hath bhi na lagana warna dard’nak azaab tumhein pakad le ga.” (Al-Aaraf: 7/73)

 

Aur mazeed farmaya:

 

وَيٰقَوْمِ هٰذِهٖ نَاقَــةُ اللّٰهِ لَكُمْ اٰيَةً فَذَرُوْهَا تَاْكُلْ فِيْٓ اَرْضِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوْهَا بِسُوْۗءٍ فَيَاْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ قَرِيْبٌ    64؀

 

“Aye meri qoam! Yeh Allah ki uontani tumhare liye aik nshani (mo’ajiza) hai lihaza is ko chod do keh Allah ki zameen mein (jahan chahe) chare aur is ko kisi tarah ki takleef na dena warna tumhein jalad azaab aa pakde ga.” (Hood: 11/64)

 

Mo’ajize Ki Be’hurmati:

 

Aik arsa tak yeh moamila yoonhi chalta raha. Aakhir un ke sardaar jama’a huaye aur mashwara ke ba’ad mutfiqa faisala kiya keh uontani ko qatal kar dein takeh us se jan choote aur sara pani unhein mil jaye. Allah T’aala ka irshad hai:

 

فَعَقَرُوا النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوْا يٰصٰلِحُ ائْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ   77؀

 

Aakhir unhon ne uontani (ki koonchon) ko kat dala aur apne Parwardigaar ke hukam se sarkashi ki aur kehne lage keh Saleh! Jis cheez se tum humein darate thay agar tum (Allah ke) paighembar ho to usay hum par le aao.” (Al-Aaraf: 7/77 )

 

Sazishi qoam ne Allah ke mo’ajize par iman lane ki bajay us par Zulam-o-Udwaan kiya aur apne hathon apni halaakat ka Band-o-Basat kar diya. Allah T’aala ne farmaya:

 

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِطَغْوٰىهَآ  11۝۽ اِذِ انْۢبَعَثَ اَشْقٰىهَا  12۝۽ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقْيٰهَا  13۝ۭ فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَعَقَرُوْهَا ۱ فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰىهَا  14۝۽ وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبٰهَا  15؀ۧ

 

“(Qoam) Samood ne apni sarkashi ke sabab (paighembar) ko jhutlaya. Jab un mein se aik nihayat bad’bakhat utha, to Allah ke paighembar (Saleh) ne un se kaha keh Allah ki ontani aur us ke peene ki bari se daro (aur ahtiyat karo) magar unhon ne jhutlaya aur uontani ki koonchein kaat dien’ phir Allah ne un ke gunah ke sabab un par azaab nazil kiya aur sab ko (halaak kar ke) baraabar kar diya aur us ko un se badla lene ka kuch bhi dar nahin.” (Al-Shamas: 91/11-15)

 

Allah T’aala ne farmaya:

 

وَاٰتَيْنَا ثَمُوْدَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً

 

“Aur hum ne Samood ko uontani (Nabuwat-e-Saleh ki khuli) nishani di to unhon ne us par zulam kiya.” (Bani Isra’eel:17/59)

 

Jis shakhas ne uontani ko qatal karne ki zimmadari uthai, Us ka nam [Qidaar Bin Salif Bin Jund’a] tha. Woh surkh fam aur neeli aankhon wala tha. Yeh bhi kaha jata hai keh woh Salif ki biwi [Sibyaan] se na’jaiz t’aluq ke nateeje mein paida huwa. Us ne sab logon ke muttafiqa faisale ke tateeje mein qatal kiya tha. Is liye us kam ki nisbat un sab se ki taraf ki gai.

Imam Iban-e-Jareer رحمہ اللہ aur baqi mufassireen ka bayan hai keh Qoam-e-Samood mein do auratein thien. (Sadooq Bint-e-Mahya Bin Zuhair Bin Mukhtar) tha jo maal daar aur uonche khandan ki aurat thi. Us ne Qabeela-e-Aslam ke aik aadmi se nikah kiya, Lekin phir talaaq le li. Us ne apne chacha zaad [Masda’e Bin Mahraj Bin Mahya] ko bula kar kaha: ” Agar tum uontani ko qatal kar do to mein tum se shadi kar loon gi.”

Doosari aurat ka nam [ Unaiza ] tha jo [ Ghunam Bin Mijlaz ] ki beti thi. Us ki kuniyyat [ Umm-e-Ghanam ] thi. Yeh aik kafir budhiya thi, Us ka khawand [ Zuwwab Bin Amar ] aik raees tha. Us aurat ne Qidar Bin Salif se kaha. “Yeh meri char betiyan hein, Agar tum uontani ko qatal kar do, To jis larki se chaho gay, Shadi kar doon gi.”

Chunanchah yeh donon jawan is kam ke liye kamarbasta ho gaye aur qoam ke aur afraad ko bhi targheeb di. Yoon mazeed sat afraad un ke sath aa mile aur yeh kul no afraad ho gaye. Daraj zail Aayat-e-Mubarka mein unhi ka zikar hai.

 

Irshad-e-BariT’aala hai:

 

وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِيْنَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُّفْسِدُوْنَ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُوْنَ 48؀

 

“Aur shehar mein no shakhas thay jo mulak mein fasaad kiya karte thay aur islah se kam nahin lete thay.” (Al-Namal: 27/48)

 

Unhon ne baqi qabeele ko bhi sath milane ki koshish ki to logon ne taeed ki. Woh uontani ko qatal karne ke liye ghaat mein baith gaye. Jab woh pani pi kar wapis aai to Masd’e, ne chup kar baithha huwa tha, Us par teer chala diya, Jo keh us ki pindali ki haddi mein paiwist ho geya. Unaiza aur us ki betiyan bhi Qidar ki hosala afzaai ke liye aa gaien, Aur unhein josh dilane ke liye apne chehron se naqaab ulat diye. Qidar Bin Salif ne jaldi se uontani par talwar se hamla kiya aur us ki koonchein kaat dien. Woh zameen par gir padi aur zor se aawaz nikali jis se us ka bacha chokana ho gaya aur door pahad par chala gaya aur teen bar bilbilaya. Qidar ne uontani ke gale par naiza maar kar usay qatal kar diya. ( Tafser Iban-e-Kaseer: 3/396, Tafseer Soorat-ul-Aaraf, Aayat: 77)

 

Quraan-e-Majeed ne is ka zikar in alfaaz mein kiya hai:

 

فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطٰى فَعَقَرَ   29؀ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ 30؀

 

“Phir un logon ne apne rafeeq ko bulaya to us ne uontani ko pakad kar us ki koonchein kaat dalien so dekh lo keh mera azaab aur daraana kaisa hai?” (Al-Qamar: 54/29-30)

 

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Zam’aa رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne khutba ke dauran mein uontani ka aur us ke qatal karne wale ka zikar kiya aur farmaya: Usay qatal karne ke liye aik daler sardaar utha, Jis ki bat maani jati thi jaise ( Quraish mein) Abu Zam’aa hai.”( Sahih Al-Bukhari’ Al-Tafseer, Baab-o-Sorat- والشمس وضحھا, Hadees: 4942)

 

Hazrat Ammar Bin Yasir رضی اللہ عنہما se riwwayat hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne Hazrat Ali رضی اللہ عنہ se farmaya: “Kaya mein tujhe na bataoon keh sab se zayada bad’bakhat kon hai?” Unhon ne kaha:”Ji han! Farmaiye.” Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: Do shakhas hein, aik to surkh fam aadami jis ne uontani ko qatal kiya tha, Aur aik woh jo tujhe, Aye Ali! Is jagah (ya’ani sar par) zarab lagaye ga, Jis se yeh (ya’ani dadhi ) tar ho jaye gi.” (Musnad-e-Ahmed: 4/263 Silsilat-ul-Ahadees Al-Sahihah, Hadees: 1888 )

 

Allah T’aala ne farmaya:

 

فَعَقَرُوا النَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوْا يٰصٰلِحُ ائْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ   77؀

 

“Aakhir unhon ne uontani (ki koonchon) ko kaat dala aur Apne Parwardigaar ke hukam se sarkashi ki aur kehne lage keh Saleh! Jis cheez se tum humein daraate ho, Agar tum (Allah ke) paighembar ho to usay hum par le aao.” (Al-Aaraf: 7/77)

 

Un ke is qoal mein kai andaaz se kufar ka wazih izhar hai:

 

v Unhon ne mo’akkad tor par mamnoo’a kam ka irtakaab kar ke Allah aur us ke Rasool ki mukhalifat ki. Ya’ani us uontani ko halaak kiya jise Allah T’aala ne un ke liye aayat (nishani, Mo’ajiza) qaraar diya tha.

v Unhon ne aisa kam kiya jis se azaab jaldi aa jaye. Lihaza woh do wajah se is ke mustahiq ho gaye.

v Aik is liye keh Allah T’aala ne azaab ki yeh sharat bayan farmaai thi keh is ko kisi tarah ki takleef na dena warna tumhein jalad azaab aa pakde ga.

v Doosari wajah yeh keh unhon ne azaab ke jalad aa jane ka mutalaba kiya.

v Kufar ki Teesari wajah yeh keh unhon ne us Raool ki takzeeb ki jis ki Nubuwwat aur sachai ka Na’qabil-e-Tardeed suboot mojood tha aur unhein is ka poori tarah ilam aur yaqeen tha. Lekn Kufar, Zalaalat aur fasaad ne unhein majboor kar diya keh woh haq ko Na’qabil-e-Faham qaraar dein aur is tarah un par azaab nazil ho jaye.

Ulma-e-Kiraam ne farmaya hai keh jab un logon ne uontani ko qatal kiya to us par sab se pehle Qidaar Bin Salif [ لعنتہ اللہ علیہ] ne hamla kiya aur us ki koonchein kaat dien. Woh zameen par gir padi. Phir sab afraad ne jaldi jaldi talwaron se us ke tukde kar diye. Jab us ke bache ne yeh dekha to bhag kar sab se uonche pahaad par chadh gaya aur teen bar bilbilaya.

 

Is liye Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ne farmaya:

 

تَمَتَّعُوْا فِيْ دَارِكُمْ ثَلٰثَةَ اَيَّامٍ

 

” Apne gharon mein teen din aur faida utha lo.” (Hood: 11/65)

 

Ya’ani unhein us din ke ilawa teen din ki mohlat di gai. Unhon ne is mo’akkad waeed par bhi ai’atbar na kiya. Balkeh Unhon ne program banaya keh Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ko bhi shaheed kar diya jaye. Chunanchah sab qasmein kha kar kehne lage:

 

لَـنُبَيِّتَـنَّهٗ وَاَهْلَهٗ

 

“Ahad karo keh hum rat ko Us par aur Us ke ghar walon par shabkhoon marein gay.” (Al-Namal: 27/49)

 

Ya’ani hum rat ko Saleh (علیہ السلام) ke ghar mein ghus kar Ap ko Ahal-o-Ayal samait shaheed kar dein gay. Phir agar ap ke aqaarib ne qisaas ya diyyat ka mutalaba kiya to hum mukar jaein gay aur kahein gay keh hum ne qatal nahin kya. Is liye unhon ne kaha:

 

ثُمَّ لَـنَقُوْلَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهٖ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ اَهْلِهٖ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ 49؀

 

“Phir Us ke waris se keh dein gay keh hum Saleh (علیہ السلام) ke gharwalon ke Moqa-e-Halaakat par gaye hi nahin aur hum bilkul sach kehte hein. (Al-Namal: 27/49)

 

Qoam-E-Samood Par Nuzool-e-Azaab Aur Aur Saleh علیہ السلام Ka Izhar-e-Afsos

 

Jab qoam ne mo’ajize ka inkar kiya aur Allah T’aala ki ne’amaton ki na’shukri ki to nateeja un ki tabahi ki soorat mein nikla, Jise Allah T’aala ne mukhtalif peraaye mein bayan kiya hai. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ اَصْحٰبُ الْحِـجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ 80؀ۙ وَاٰتَيْنٰهُمْ اٰيٰتِنَا فَكَانُوْا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِيْنَ    81؀ۙ وَكَانُوْا يَنْحِتُوْنَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوْتًا اٰمِنِيْنَ 82؀ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِيْنَ 83؀ۙ فَمَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ    84؀ۭ

 

“Aur Wadi-e-Hijar ke rehne walon ne bhi paighembaron ki takzeeb ki. Hum ne un ko Apni nishaniyan dien aur woh un se munh phairte rahe aur woh pahadon ko taraash taraash kar ghar banate thay keh un mein aman se rahein gay. To holnak cheekh ne un ko subah hote hote aa pakda. Aur jo kam woh karte thay woh un ke kuch bhi kam na aaye.” (Al-Hijar: 15/80-85)

 

Aur Irshad farmaya:

وَمَا مَنَعَنَآ اَنْ نُّرْسِلَ بِالْاٰيٰتِ اِلَّآ اَنْ كَذَّبَ بِهَا الْاَوَّلُوْنَ  ۭ وَاٰتَيْنَا ثَمُوْدَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُوْا بِهَا  ۭ وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِالْاٰيٰتِ اِلَّا تَخْوِيْفًا  59؀

 

Aur hum ne nishaniyan bhejni is liye moqoof kar dien keh agle logon ne us ki takzeeb ki thi hum ne Samood ki uontani ( Nubuwwat-e-Saleh ki khuli nishani) di to unhon ne us par zulam kiya aur hum to daraane ke liye hi nishaniyan bheja karte hein.” (Bani Israeel: 17/59)

 

Mazeed Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

وَيٰقَوْمِ هٰذِهٖ نَاقَــةُ اللّٰهِ لَكُمْ اٰيَةً فَذَرُوْهَا تَاْكُلْ فِيْٓ اَرْضِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوْهَا بِسُوْۗءٍ فَيَاْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ قَرِيْبٌ        64؀ فَعَقَرُوْهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوْا فِيْ دَارِكُمْ ثَلٰثَةَ اَيَّامٍ ۭذٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوْبٍ        65؀ فَلَمَّا جَاۗءَ اَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صٰلِحًا وَّالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مَعَهٗ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْيِ يَوْمِىِٕذٍ  ۭ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيْزُ     66؀ وَاَخَذَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَاَصْبَحُوْا فِيْ دِيَارِهِمْ جٰثِمِيْنَ     67؀ۙ كَاَنْ لَّمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيْهَا   ۭ اَلَآ اِنَّ ثَمُــوْدَا۟ كَفَرُوْا رَبَّهُمْ  ۭ اَلَا بُعْدًا لِّثَمُوْدَ      68؀ۧ

 

“Aye meri qoam! Yeh Allah ki uontani tumhare liye aik nishani (mo’ajiza) hai lihaza us ko chod do keh Allah ki zameen mein ( jahan chahe) chare aur us ko kisi tarah ki takleef na dena warna tumhein jalad azaab aa pakde ga. Magar unhon ne us ki koonchein kat dalien. To (Saleh ne) kaha keh apne gharon mein teen din (aur) faaide utha lo yeh (azaab ka) wa’ada hai keh jhoota na ho ga, so jab hamara hukam aa gaya to hum ne Saleh aur jo log un ke sath iman laaye thay un ko apni meharbani se bacha liya aur us din ki ruswai se (mahfooz rakha). Beshak tumhara Parwardigaar hi taqatwar aur zabardast hai. Aur jin logon ne zulam kiya tha, Un ko holnaak cheekh (ki soorat mein azaab ) ne aa pakda to woh apne gharon mein ondhaye pade reh gaye. Goya un mein kabhi base hi na thay. Sun rakho! Keh Samood ne Apne Parwardigaar se kufar kiya aur Samood par phitkaar hai.” (Hood: 11/64-68)

 

Soora-e-Qamar mein un ke azaab ka tazkra is tarah kiya gaya hai. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ 30؀ اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَكَانُوْا كَهَشِيْمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ 31؀ وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُّدَّكِرٍ 32؀

 

“So dekh lo keh mera azaab aur daraana kaisa hai? Hum ne un par azaab ke liye aik holnaak cheekh bheji to woh aise ho gaye jaise baad wale ki sookhi aur tooti hui baad. Aur hum ne Quraan ko samjhne ke liye aasaan kar diya hai, To koi hai keh soche samjhe ?” (Al-Qamar: 54/ 30-31)

 

Irshad-e-Ilahi hai:

 

وَمَكَرُوْا مَكْرًا وَّمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًا وَّهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ 50؀ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ ۙ اَنَّا دَمَّرْنٰهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ 51؀ فَتِلْكَ بُيُوْتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةًۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوْا  ۭ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْلَمُوْنَ   52؀ وَاَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَكَانُوْا يَتَّقُوْنَ 53؀

 

“Aur woh aik chal chale aur Hum bhi aik chal chale, Aur un ko kuch khabar na hui, So dekh lo keh un ki chal ka anjaam kaisa huwa? Hum ne un ko aur un ki qoam sab ko halaak kar dala. Ab yeh un ke ghar un ke zulam ke sabab khali pade hein. Jo log danish rakhte hein un ke liye is mein nishani hai aur jo log iman laaye aur darte thay un ko Hum ne nijaat di.” (Al-Namal: 27/50-53)

Jin afraad ne Hazrat Saleh علیہ لاسلام ko shaheed karne ki sazish tayyar ki thi. Allah T’aala ne un par un ki qoam se pehle hi azaab nazil farma diya aur un par pathar barsa kar kuchal dala aur tabah kar diya. Jab mohlat ka pehla din ya’ani Jume’araat ka din aaya to un ke chehre zarad ho gaye, Jaise Saleh علیہ السلام ne farmaya tha. Sham hui to unhon ne kaha:” Mohlat ka aik din to guzar gaya.” Jab doosre din ya’ani jab Jumma ki subah hui to un ke chehre surkh ho gaye. Sham hui to unhon ne kaha: “Mohlat ke do din to guzar gaye.” Jab mohlat ka teesra din aaya to un ke chehre siyah ho gaye. Sham hui to unhon ne kaha: “(Saleh ki kahi hui) mohlat to khatam ho gai . Jab itwar ki subah hui to unhon ne khushboo lagaai aur tayyar ho kar baith gaye aur intizar karne lage keh dekhein kon sa azaab aata hai. Unhein ma’aloom nahin tha keh un ke sah kaya sulook hone wala hai aur un par kis taraf se azaab aane wala hai.

Jab sooraj taloo’a huwa to aasman se aik shadeed aawaz aai aur niche se zalzala aa geya. Chunanchah tamam afraad ki roohein parwaz kar gaien, Woh be-His-o-Harkat aur khamosh ho gaye. Woh apne gharon mein jaise baithe thay, Wese hi baithe baithe be’jan ajsam mein tabdeel ho gaye aur harkat bhi na kar sake. Un mein se siraf aik londi zinda bach gai jo chalne phirne se ma’azoor thi. Us ka nam “Kalba Bint-e-Salaq” tha aur usaye “Zariaa” bhi kehte thay. Woh pakki kafira thi aur Saleh علیہ السلام ki sakhat dushman thi. Jab us ne azaab dekha to usay chalne ki taaqat mil gai, Chunanchah woh intihaai tezi se bhagi hatta keh Arbon ke aik qabeele ke pas ja phanchi. Us ne tamaam Chasham-e-Deed waqia sunaya aur qoam par aane wale azaab ki khabar di. Phir pani manga. Jab us ne pani piya to woh bhi mar gai.

Allah T’aala ne farmaya: {کان لم یغنوا فیھا } “Yoon mahsoos hota hai keh woh kabhi yahan base aur aabad hi nahin huaye.” Ya’ani is tarah fana ho gaye goya kabhi thay hi nahin.

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام Ka Izhaar-e-Afsoos:

 

Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام ne qoam ki Tabahi-o-Barbaadi par nihaayat Gham-o-Hasrat ka izhaar farmaya, Allah T’aala ne un ki kefiyat ko yoon bayan farmaya hai.

 

Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:

 

فَتَوَلّٰى عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يٰقَوْمِ لَقَدْ اَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّيْ وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلٰكِنْ لَّا تُحِبُّوْنَ النّٰصِحِيْنَ   79؀

 

Phir Saleh un se (na’umeed ho kar) phire aur kaha keh aye meri qoam! Mein ne tum ko Allah ka paigham pohancha diya aur tumhari khair khawahi ki magar tum (aise ho keh) khair khawahon ko dost nahin rakhte.” (Al-Aaraf: 7/79)

Saleh علیہ السلام ne qoam ke halaak ho jane ka ba’ad qoam se mukhatib ho kar (ba’tor-e-afsos-o-herat) yeh farmaya: يٰقَوْمِ لَقَدْ اَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّيْ وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ Meri qoam! Mein ne tumhein Apne Rabb ka paigham pohancha diya tha aur tumhara bhala chaha tha.” ya’ani mein ne har mumkin tareeqe se tumhein Raah-e-Hidaayat par lane ki pori koshish ki. Apne qoal, Amal aur niyyat se us ka intihaai khwahish mand tha. وَلٰكِنْ لَّا تُحِبُّوْنَ النّٰصِحِيْنَ    “Lekin tum log nasehat karne walon ko pasand nahin karte.” Ya’ani tumhari fitrat na haq ki talib thi, Na usay qabool karti thi, Is liye tum is dardnaak azaab ka shikar ho gaye, Jis mein tum abad tak mubtala raho gay. Ab mein kisi tarah bhi tumhein is azaab se chuda nahin sakta. Mein ne to apna faraz ada kar diya ya’ani tumhein Allah ka paigham pohancha diya aur tumhari khair khawahi ki. Mein yehi kuch kar sakta tha. Us ke ba’ad Allah jo chahta karta hai.

Badar ke kunwein mein jin maqtool kafiron ko phainka geya tha. Allah ke Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne teen din ba’ad un se bhi wahi khitab farmaya tha. Rat ke aakhri hisse mein jab ap ne Islami lashkar ko kooch ka hukam de diya tha.aur khud sawari par tadhreef farma ho chuke thay. Ap ne farmaya: Aye kunwein walo! Tumhare Rabb ne jo tum se wa’ada kiya tha, Kaya tum ne usay poora hote dekh liya? Mujh se Mere Rabb ne jo wa’ada farmaya tha, Mein ne to usay poora hote dekh liya hai.”

Ap صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne us moqa’a par un lashon ko mukhatab kar ke yeh bhi farmaya tha: “Tum apne Nabi ke liye us ka bura khandaan sabit huaye. Tum ne us waqat mujhe jhoota kaha jab logon ne mujhe sacha mana. Tum ne us waqat mujhe (watan se) nikala jab logon ne mujhe jagah di, Tum ne us waqat mujh se ladai ki jab logon ne meri madad ki. Tum apne Nabi ke liye Nabi ka bura khandaan sabit huaye.”

Hazrat Umar رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ ne araz ki: “Aye Allah ke Rasool صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! Ap un logon se mukhatib hein jo murdaar ho chuke hein?”

Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne farmaya: “Qasam hai Us Zaat ki, Jis ke hath mein meri jan hai! Meri bat tum un se zayada nahin sun rahe, Lekin woh jawab nahin de sakte.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Janaaiz, Baab-o-Maa Jaa Fi Azaab-al-Qabar, Hadees: 1370, wa Musnad-e-Ahmed: 6/276)

Ba’az Ulma’a ne farmaya hai keh is waqia ke ba’ad Hazrat Saleh علیہ السلام Haram Shareef mein tashreef le gaye aur wafaat tak waheen muqeem rahe.

 

Abu Righaal Ka Qissa:

 

Hazrat Jabir رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم jab Maqam-e-Hijar se guzre to farmaya: “Mo’jizaat ka mutalaba na karo, Saleh علیہ السلام ki qoam ne yeh mutalaba kiya tha to woh (uontani ki soorat mein) zahir ho geya. Woh is raste se pani peene aati thi aur us raste se wapis jati thi. Unhon ne Apne Rabb ka hukam na maante huaye sarkashi ki aur us ki koonchein kaat dien. Aik din woh pani peeti thi aur doisare din woh us ka doodh peete thay. Jab unhon ne usay maar dala to un par aisi sakhat cheekh ka azaab aaya jis se tamaam log halaak ho gay sirf aik aadami bacha jo (us waqat) Harm ki sar’zameen mein tha.”

Sahaba رضی اللہ عنہم ne araz ki: “Allah ke Rasool صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم woh kon tha?” “Farmaya:” Woh Abu Righaal tha. Jab woh Haram ki hadood se nikla to woh bhi usi azaab ki lapait mein aa geya jo us ki qoam par aaya tha.” (Musnad-e-Ahmed: 3/296.)

Prophet Salih

 

Description of the People of Thamud

 

 After the destruction of the Ad, the tribe of Thumud succeeded them in power and glory. They also fell to idol-worshipping. As their material wealth increased so, too, did their evil ways while their virtue decreased. Like the people of Ad, they erected huge buildings on the plains and hewed beautiful homes out of the hills. Tyranny and oppression became prevalent as evil men ruled the land.

 Description of Salih

So Allah sent unto them His Prophet Salih (PBUH), a man from among them, His name was Salih Ibn Ubeid, Ibn Masch, Ibn Ubeid, Ibn Hader, Ibn Thamud, Ibn Ather, Ibn Eram, Ibn Noah. He called his people to worship Allah alone, and to not associate partners with Him. While some of them believed him, the majority of them disbelieved and harmed him by both words and deeds. Salih directed them:

 “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no other llah (god) but Him.” (Ch 11:61) Salih was known for his wisdom, purity and goodness and had been greatly respected by his people before Allah’s revelation came to him. Salih’s people said to him:

 “O Salih! You have been among us as a figure of good hope and we wished for you to be our chief, till this, new thing which you have brought that we leave our gods and worship your God (Allah) alone! Do you now forbid us the worship of what our fathers have worshipped? But we are really in grave doubt as to that which you invite us to monotheism.” (CH 11:62 Quran).

Salih’s People Demand a Miracle

They merely wanted to worship the same gods as their fathers had, with no reason, no proof, no thought. The proof of Salib’s (PBUH) message was evident, but despite this it was obvious that most of his people did not believe him. They doubted his words, thinking he was charmed, and they saw that he would not stop preaching. Fearing that his followers would increase, they tried to put him off by assigning him an important task; to prove that he was a messenger of Allah by performing a miracle. Let a unique she camel issue from the mountains. Allah granted Salih this miracle and a huge, unique, she camel appeared from the direction of the mountain. The Quranic commentators said that the people of Thamud gathered on a certain day at their meeting place, and the prophet Salih (PBUH) came and addressed them to believe in Allah, reminding them of the favors Allah had granted them. Then pointing at a rock, they demanded: “Ask your Lord to make a she camel, which must be 10 months pregnant, tall and attractive, issue from the rock for us.” Salih replied: “Look now! If Allah sends you what you have requested, just as you have described, will you believe in that which I have come to you with and have faith in the message I have been sent with?”

They answered: “Yes.”

So he took a vow from them on this, then prayed to Allah the Almighty to grant their request. Allah ordered the distant rock to split asunder, to bringing forth a great ten month pregnant she camel. When their eyes set on it, they were amazed. They saw a great thing, a wonderful sight, a dazzling power and clear evidence!

A number of Salih’s people believed, yet most of them continued in their disbelief, stubbornness, and going astray. Allah the Almighty said:

“We sent the she camel to Thamid as a clear sign, but they did her wrong. (Ch 17:59)

and also:

 “Verily the dwellers of Al Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. (Ch 15:80-81 Quran)

There are a number of ancient accounts of this camel and its miraculous nature. It was said that the she camel was miraculous because a rock in the mountain split open and it came forth from it, followed by its young offspring. Other accounts said that the she camel used to drink all the water in the wells in one day, and no other animals could approach the water. Still others claimed that the she camel produced milk sufficient for all the people to drink, on the same day that it drank all the water, leaving none for them. At first, the people of Thamud were greatly surprised when the she camel issued from the mountain rocks. It was a blessed camel, and its milk sufficient for thousands of men, women and children. If it slept in a place that place was abandoned by other animals. Thus it was obvious that is was not an ordinary camel, but one of Allah’s signs. It lived among Salih’s people, some of whom believed in Allah while the majority continued in their obstinacy and disbelief. Their hatred of Salih turned towards the blessed she camel and became centered on it. A conspiracy started to be hatched against the camel by the disbeliveers, and they secretly plotted against it.

Salih feared that they might kill the camel, so he warned them:

“O my people! This she camel of Allah is a sign to you, leave her to feed on Allah’s earth, and touch her not with evil lest a near torment will seize you.” (Ch 11:64 Quran)

For awhile, Salih’s people let the camel graze and drink freely, but in their hearts they hated it. However, the miraculous appearance of the unique camel caused many to become Salih’s followers, and they clung to their belief in Allah.

Stories About the She-camel

The disheliveers now began complaining that this huge she camel with its unusual qualities drank most of the water and frightened their cattle.

They laid a plot to kill the camel, and sought the help of their women folk to tempt the men to carry out their commands. Saduq birt of Mahya, who was from a rich and noble family, offered herself to a young man named Masrai Ibn Mahraj on condition that he hamstring the camel. Aniza, an old woman, offered one of her daughters to a young man, Qudar Ibn Saluf, in return for killing the camel. Naturally these young men were tempted and set about finding seven others to assist them.

They watched the camel closely, observing all its movements. As the she camel came to drink at the well, Masarai shot it in the leg with an arrow. It tried to escape but was hampered by the arrow. Qudar followed the camel and struck it with a sword in the other leg. As it fell to the ground, he pierced it with his sword.

The killers were given a hero’s welcome, cheered with songs and poetry composed in their praise. In their arrogance they mocked Salih, but he warned them: “Enjoy life for 3 more days then the punishment will descend upon you.” Salih was hoping that they would see the folly of their ways and change their attitude before the three days went out.

“Why three days?” they asked. “Let the punishment come as quickly as possible.”

He pleaded with them: “My people, why do you hasten to evil rather than good? Why do not you ask pardon of Allah so that you may receive mercy?”

They replied: “We see your presence and that of your followers as bringing evil on us.”

Almighty Allah related their story:

“And indeed We sent to Thamud their brother Salih, saying “Worship Allah Alone and none else.” Then look! They became two parties (believers and disbeliveers) quarreling with each other.

He said: “O my people! Why do you seek to hasten the evil (torment) before the good (Allah’s Mercy)? Why seek you not the Forgiveness of Allah, that you may receive mercy?” They said: We augur till omen from you and those with you.” he said: “Your ill omen is with Allah, nay, but you are a people that are being tested.”

And there were in the city nine men (from the sons of their chiefs), who made mischief in the land, and would not reform. They said: “Swear to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives “We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.”” So they plotted a plot, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not. Then see how was the end of their plot! Verily! We destroyed them and their nation, all together. These are their houses in utter ruin, for they did wrong. Verily, in this is indeed an Ayah (a lesson or a sign) for people who know. We saved those who believed, and used to fear and obey Allah (Ch 27:45-53 Quran)

 They also plotted to kill Salih and his household as Almighty Allah stated:

 “So they plot, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.” (Ch 27:50 Quran) Allah saved Salih and his followers from their wicked plans. Heavy hearted, they left the evil doers and moved to another place. Three days after Salih’s warning, thunderbolts filled the air, followed by severe carthquakes which destroyed the entire tribe and its homeland. The land was violently shaken, destroying all living creatures in it. There was one terrific cry which had hardly ended when the dis be liveers of Salih’s people were struck dead, one and all, at the same time. Neither their strong buildings nor their rock hewn homes could protect them.

 Allah the Exalted said:

“To Thamud people We sent their brother Salih. HE said: “O my people! Worship Allah, you have no other llah (god) but Him (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Indeed there has come to you a clear sign (the miracle of the coming out of a huge she camel from the midst of a rock) from your Lord. This she camel of Allah is a sign unto you so you leave her to graze in Allah’s earth, and touch her not with harm, lest a painful torment should size you. Remember when He made you successors after Ad people and gave you habitations in the land, you build for yourselves palaces in plains and carve out homes in the mountains. So remember the graces bestowed upon you from Allah, and do not go about making mischief on the earth.”

The leaders of those who were arrogant among his people said to those who were counted weak to such of them as believed: “Know you that Salih is one sent from his Lord.” They said: “We indeed believe in that with which he has been sent.” Those who were arrogant said: “Verily, we disbelieve in that which you believe in.”

So they killed the she camel and insolently defied the Commandment of their Lord, and said: “O Salih! Bring about your threats if you are indeed one of the Messengers (of Allah).” So the earthquakes seized them and they lay dead, prostrate in their homes. Then he (Salih) turned from them, and said: “O my people! I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Lord, and have give you good advise but you like not good advisers.” (Ch 7:73-79 Quran)

All were destroyed before they realized what was happening. As for the people who believed in the message of Salih (PBUH), they were saved because they had left the place.

Ibn Umar narrated that while the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was passing by Thamud’s houses on his way to the battle of Tabuk, he stopped together with the people there. the people fetched water from the wells from which the people of Thamad used to drink. They prepared their dough (for baking) and filled their water skins from it (the water from the wells). The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) ordered them to empty the water skins and give the prepared dough to the camels. Then he went away with them until they stopped at the well from which the she camel (of Salih) used to drink. He warned them against entering upon the people that had been punished, saying “I fear that you may be affected by what afflicted them; so do no enter upon them.”
