 Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام )

 


Naam-o-Nasab, Jaye nubuwwat aur Quran Majeed mein aap ka tazkirah


Hazrat Ibrahim Khaleel-ul-Rahman (علیہ السلام ) ki Hayat-e-Mubaraka mein paish aane wala aik ahm aur azeem waqe’aa Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki qoum par Allah Ta’aala kay sakht azaab ka nuzool hai.

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) Harraan kay bete thay aur Harraan Tareh yaani Azar kay bete thay. Chunancha Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) aur Hazrat Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ) kay bhateejay thay kiyu keh Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ), Harraan aur Nahoor aapas mein bhaai thay jaise keh pahl-e-e bayan ho chuka hai.

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) Hazrat Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ) ki ijazat balkeh un kay hukum say un kay ilaqe say muntaqil ho kar “Ghour-e-Zaghar” kay ilaqe mein “Sudoom” kay shehar mein rihaish pazeer ho gaye thay. Yeh us ilaqe ka markazi maqam tha, jis kay sath kafi zara’ee iraazi aur dehaat waghairah mulhaq thay. Yahan kay bashinday intihai Fasiq-o-Fajir, Shadeed tareen Kafir, Intihai bad fitrat aur be had badkirdar thay. Woh Raah-e-Zani kay aadi aur Sar-e-Aam bure kaam karne wale thay. Woh aik dosre ko un gunaho kay irtikaab say mana bhi nahi karte thay. Yaani un kay aamal intihai bure thay.

Unhon ne be hayai ka aik naya kaam shuru kar rakha tha’ Jo un say pahl-e-e kisi insaan ne nahi kiya tha. Yaani Unhon ne apni nafsaani khuwahish mardon say poori karna shuru kar di aur apni jaiz khuwahish aurton ka zariy’a say poori karne say ijtinaab karne lage’ Halankeh Allah Ta’aala ne mardon kay liye jinsi khuwahish poori karne kay liye aurtain peda ki hain.

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne unhain Allahu Wahdahu Laa Shareek ki ibadat ki dawat di aur unhain Haram kamoon say aur fahashi kay qabeeh af’aal say mana farmaya lekin un ki gumrahi aur sarkashi mein izafa ho gaya, Woh kufar aur gunaho mein badsatoor mulawwis rahe. Tab Allah Ta’aala ne un par woh azaab nazil farmaya, Jo un kay Wahm-o-Guman mein bhi nahi aa sakta tha. Allah Ta’aala ne unhain dunya waloon kay liye ibrat bana diya, Jis say dunya bhar kay Ahl-e-khard ko nasihat ho.

Isi wajah say Allah Ta’aala ne Quran Majeed mein muta’addad maqamaat par un ka waqea bayan kiya hai. Chunancha Surah A’raf  mein Irshad-e- hai:

 

وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اَتَاْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ  80؀اِنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِّنْ دُوْنِ النِّسَاۗءِ ۭ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُوْنَ   81؀وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْٓا اَخْرِجُوْهُمْ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۚاِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ   82؀فَاَنْجَيْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ  ڮ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ  83؀وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًا   ۭفَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ  84؀ۧ

 

“Aur (Isi tarah jab Ham ne) Lut ko (paghambar bana kar bheja to) us waqat Unhon ne apni qoum say kaha tum aesi be hayai ka kaam kiyu karte ho keh tum say pahl-e-e Ahl-e-Aalam mein say kisi ne is tarah ka kaam nahi kiya, Yaani khuwahish nafsaani poori karne kay liye aurton ko chod kar mardon kay sath shehwat raani karte ho. Haqeeqat yeh hai keh tum log had say nikal jaane wale ho aur un ki qoum say us kay siwa koi jawab na ban pada keh who bole: In logon (Lut aur un kay ghar waloon) ko apne gaoon say nikal do (keh) yeh log paak ban’na chahte hain. Phir Ham ne un ko aur un kay ghar waloon ko bacha liya magar un ki biwi (na bachi) keh woh peeche rehne waloon mein say thi. Aur Ham ne un par (patharon ka) meena barsaya. So dekh lo keh gunah garon ka anjaam kesa howa?” (Al A’raf: 7/80-84)

 

Allah Ta’aala ne Surah Hood mein un ka waqea yun bayan kiya hai. Irshad-e- Baari-e-Ta’aala hai:

 

وَلَقَدْ جَاۗءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ بِالْبُشْرٰي قَالُوْا سَلٰمًا  ۭ قَالَ سَلٰمٌ فَمَا لَبِثَ اَنْ جَاۗءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيْذٍ      69؀فَلَمَّا رَآٰ  اَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ اِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَاَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيْفَةً  ۭ قَالُوْا لَا تَخَفْ اِنَّآ اُرْسِلْنَآ اِلٰي قَوْمِ لُوْطٍ  70؀ۭوَامْرَاَتُهٗ قَاۗىِٕمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنٰهَا بِاِسْحٰقَ  ۙ وَمِنْ وَّرَاۗءِ اِسْحٰقَ يَعْقُوْبَ       71؀قَالَتْ يٰوَيْلَتٰٓى ءَاَلِدُ وَاَنَا عَجُوْزٌ وَّھٰذَا بَعْلِيْ شَيْخًا  ۭ اِنَّ ھٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيْبٌ     72؀قَالُوْٓا اَتَعْجَبِيْنَ مِنْ اَمْرِ اللّٰهِ رَحْمَتُ اللّٰهِ وَبَرَكٰتُهٗ عَلَيْكُمْ اَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ  ۭ اِنَّهٗ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ   73؀فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاۗءَتْهُ الْبُشْرٰي يُجَادِلُنَا فِيْ قَوْمِ لُوْطٍ   74؀ۭاِنَّ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ لَحَلِيْمٌ اَوَّاهٌ مُّنِيْبٌ       75؀يٰٓـــاِبْرٰهِيْمُ اَعْرِضْ عَنْ ھٰذَا  ۚ اِنَّهٗ قَدْ جَاۗءَ اَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَاِنَّهُمْ اٰتِيْهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُوْدٍ     76؀وَلَمَّا جَاۗءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوْطًا سِيْۗءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَّقَالَ ھٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيْبٌ     7؀وَجَاۗءَهٗ قَوْمُهٗ يُهْرَعُوْنَ اِلَيْهِ  ۭ وَمِنْ قَبْلُ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ السَّيِّاٰتِ ۭ قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ بَنَاتِيْ هُنَّ اَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُخْزُوْنِ فِيْ ضَيْفِيْ ۭ اَلَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيْدٌ    78؀قَالُوْا لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِيْ بَنٰتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ ۚ وَاِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيْدُ     79؀قَالَ لَوْ اَنَّ لِيْ بِكُمْ قُوَّةً اَوْ اٰوِيْٓ اِلٰي رُكْنٍ شَدِيْدٍ   80 ؀قَالُوْا يٰلُوْطُ اِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَّصِلُوْٓا اِلَيْكَ فَاَسْرِ بِاَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ الَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ اَحَدٌ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَكَ  ۭ اِنَّهٗ مُصِيْبُهَا مَآ اَصَابَهُمْ  ۭ اِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ  ۭ اَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيْبٍ    81؀فَلَمَّا جَاۗءَ اَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ ڏ مَّنْضُوْدٍ       2؀ۙمُّسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ  ۭ وَمَا ھِيَ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بِبَعِيْدٍ     83؀ۧ

 

“Aur hamare farishtay Ibrahim kay paas basharat le kar aaye to salam kaha. Unhon ne bhi (jawab mein) salam kaha. Abhi thodi dair he howi thi keh (Ibrahim) aik bhuna howa bhachada le aaye. Jab dekha keh un kay hath khane ki taraf nahi jate (yaani woh khana nahi khate) to un ko ajnabi samajh kar dil mein khouf mahsoos kiya. (farishton ne) kaha keh khouf nah kijiye Ham Qoum-e-Lut ki taraf (un ko halak karne kay liye) bheje gaye hain. Aur Ibrahim ki biwi (jo paas) khadi thi hans padi to Ham ne us ko Ishaq ki aur Ishaq kay baad Yaqoob ki khush khabri di. Us ne kaha: Haye meri kam bakhti! Mere bacha hoga? Mein to bhudiya hoon aur yeh mere miyan bhi bodhe hain. Yeh to badi ajeeb baat hai. Unhon ne kaha: Kiya tum Allah ki qudrat par ta’jjub karti ho? Ae Ahl-e-Bait! Tum par Allah ki rahmat aur us ki barkatain hain. Woh sazawaar tareef aur buzrgwaar hai. Jab Ibrahim say khouf jata raha aur un ko khush khabri mil gayi to Qoum-e-Lut kay bare mein lage behs karne, Beshak Ibrahim bare tahammul wale, Naram dil aur ruju karne wale thay. Ae Ibrahim! Is baat ko jane do! Tumhare parwardigaar ka hukum aa pohncha hai aur un logon par azaab aane wala hai, Jo kabhi talne ka nahi. Aur jab hamare farishte Lut kay paas aaye to woh un (kay aane) say gumnaak aur tangdil howe aur kehne lage keh aaj ka din badi mushkil ka din hai. Aur Lut ki qoum kay log un kay paas betahasha dodte howe aaye aur yeh log pahle hi say bura fel kiya karte thay. Lut ne kaha keh ae qoum! Yeh (jo) meri (qoum ki) ladkiyan hain, Yeh tumhare liye (jaiz aur) paak hain to Allah say daro aur mahmano (kay bare) mein meri aabroo nah zaya karo. Kiya tum mein koi bhi shaista aadmi nahi. Woh bole tum ko maloom hai keh hamein  tumhari (qoum ki) betiyun ki koi hajat nahi aur jo hamari gharz hai usay tum khoob jante ho. Lut ne kaha keh ae kash! Mujh mein tumhare muqabile ki taqat hoti ya mein kisi mazboot qile mein panah pakad sakta. Farishton ne kaha ae Lut! Ham tumhare parwardigaar kay farishtay hain. Yeh log hargiz tum tak nahi pohnch sakain ge. Tum kuch raat rahe apne ghar waloon  ko le kar chal do aur tum mein say koi shaks peeche phir kar nah dekhe magar tumhari biwi keh jo aafat un par padne wali hai wahi us par bhi pade gi. Un kay (azaab kay) wade ka waqt subah hai aur kiya subah kuch door hai? To jab hamara hukum aaya ham ne us (basti) ko (ulat kar) neche uppar kar diya aur un par pathar ki teh bah teh (yaani pe dar pe) kankariyan barsayeen jin par tumhare parwardogaar kay haan say nishan kiye howe thay. Aur woh (basti un) zalimo say kuch door nahi.”  (Hood: 11/69-83)

 

Aur surah Hijr mein un ki babat yun farmaya:

 

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَنْ ضَيْفِ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ  51۝ۘاِذْ دَخَلُوْا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوْا سَلٰمًا  ۭ قَالَ اِنَّا مِنْكُمْ وَجِلُوْنَ     52؀قَالُوْا لَا تَوْجَلْ اِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلٰمٍ عَلِيْمٍ 53؀قَالَ اَبَشَّرْتُمُوْنِيْ عَلٰٓي اَنْ مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُوْنَ     54؀قَالُوْا بَشَّرْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُنْ مِّنَ الْقٰنِطِيْنَ  55؀قَالَ وَمَنْ يَّقْنَطُ مِنْ رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهٖٓ اِلَّا الضَّاۗلُّوْنَ     56؀قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ 57؀قَالُوْٓا اِنَّآ اُرْسِلْنَآ اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِيْنَ 58؀ۙاِلَّآ اٰلَ لُوْطٍ ۭ اِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوْهُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ     59؀ۙاِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ قَدَّرْنَآ  ۙاِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ     60۝ۧفَلَمَّا جَاۗءَ اٰلَ لُوْطِۨ الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ 61۝ۙقَالَ اِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّنْكَرُوْنَ 62؀قَالُوْا بَلْ جِئْنٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوْا فِيْهِ يَمْتَرُوْنَ      63؀وَاَتَيْنٰكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوْنَ 64؀فَاَسْرِ بِاَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ الَّيْلِ وَاتَّبِعْ اَدْبَارَهُمْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ اَحَدٌ وَّامْضُوْا حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُوْنَ 65؀وَقَضَيْنَآ اِلَيْهِ ذٰلِكَ الْاَمْرَ اَنَّ دَابِرَ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ مَقْطُوْعٌ مُّصْبِحِيْنَ 66؀وَجَاۗءَ اَهْلُ الْمَدِيْنَةِ يَسْـتَبْشِرُوْنَ    67؀قَالَ اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ ضَيْفِيْ فَلَا تَفْضَحُوْنِ 68؀ۙوَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُخْــزُوْنِ 69؀قَالُوْٓا اَوَلَمْ نَــنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ     70؀قَالَ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ بَنٰتِيْٓ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فٰعِلِيْنَ 71؀ۭلَعَمْرُكَ اِنَّهُمْ لَفِيْ سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُوْنَ      72؀فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِيْنَ 73؀ۙفَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ 74؀ۭاِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِيْنَ 75؀وَاِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيْلٍ مُّقِيْمٍ 76؀اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ     77؀ۭ

 

“Aur un ko Ibrahim kay mahmanoon ka haal suna do. Jab woh Ibrahim kay paas aaye to salam kaha. (Unhon ne) kaha hamein to tum say dar lagta hai. (mahmanoon ) ne kaha dariye nahi, Ham aap ko aik danishmand ladke ki khush khabri dete hain. (woh) bole keh jab mujh ko budhapay ne aa pakda to tum khush khabri dene lage, Ab kahe ki khush khabri dete ho? (Unhon ne) kaha keh ham aap ko sachi khush khabri dete hain, Aap mayoos nah ho jaiye (Ibrahim ne) kaha keh Allah ki rahmat say (mein mayoos kiyu hoon) mayoos hona gumrahoon ka kaam hai. Phir kehne lage keh farishto tumhain (aur) kiya kaam hai? (Unhon ne) kaha keh ham aik gunah gaar qoum ki taraf bheje gaye hain (keh us par azaab nazil karain) magar Lut kay ghar wale keh un sab ko ham bacha lain ge. Albatta un ki aurat, Us kay liye ham muqaddar kar diya hai keh woh peeche reh jaye gi. Phir jab farishte Lut kay ghar gaye. To Lut ne kaha: Tum na aashna log ho. Woh bole keh (nahi) balkeh ham aap kay paas woh cheez le kar aaye hain jis mein log shak karte thay aur ham aap kay paas yaqeeni baat le kar aaye hain aur ham sach kehte hain. So aap kuch raat rahe  apne ghar waloon ko le niklain aur khud un kay peeche chalain aur aap mein say koi shaks peeche mud kar nah dekhe aur jahan aap ko hukum ho wahan chale chalain. Aur ham  ne Lut ki taraf wahi bheji keh un logon ki jad subah hote hote kaat di jaye gi. Aur Ahl-e-Shehr (Lut kay paas) khush khush (dodte ) aaye. (Lut ne) kaha keh yeh mere mahman hain (kahin un kay bare mein) mujhe ruswa nah karna aur Allah say daro aur mujhe zaleel nah karo. Woh bole kiya ham ne tum ko sare jahan (ki Himayat-o-Tarafdaari) say mana nahi kiya? (Unhon ne) kaha keh agar tumhain karna hai to yeh meri (qoum ki ) ladkiyan hain (un say shadi kar lo) (ae Muhammad!) tumhari jaan ki qasam woh apni masti mein madhosh (ho rahe ) thay. So un ko suraj nikalte nikalte chinghad ne aa pakda. Aur ham  ne is (shehr) ko (ulat kar) neche uppar kar diya aur un par khanghar kay (makhsoos) pathar barsaye. Beshak is (qisay) mein Ahl-e-Farasat kay liye nishani hai aur woh (shehr) ab tak seedhe raste par (mojood) hai. Be shak is mein iman lane waloon kay liye nishani hai.” (Al Hijr: 15/51-77)

 

Mazeed farmaya:

 

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوْطِۨ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ   ١٦٠؀ښاِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوْهُمْ لُوْطٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُوْنَ    ١٦١؀ۚاِنِّىْ لَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ اَمِيْنٌ   ١٦٢؀ۙفَاتَّــقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِ   ١٦٣؀ۚوَمَآ اَسْـَٔــلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍ  ۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰي رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   ١٦٤؀ۭاَتَاْتُوْنَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   ١٦٥؀ۙوَتَذَرُوْنَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِّنْ اَزْوَاجِكُمْ  ۭ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عٰدُوْنَ   ١٦٦؁قَالُوْا لَىِٕنْ لَّمْ تَنْتَهِ يٰلُوْطُ لَتَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِيْنَ   ١٦٧؁قَالَ اِنِّىْ لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِّنَ الْقَالِيْنَ   ١٦٨؀ۭرَبِّ نَجِّنِيْ وَاَهْلِيْ مِمَّا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٦٩؁فَنَجَّيْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اَجْمَعِيْنَ   ١٧٠؀ۙاِلَّا عَجُوْزًا فِي الْغٰبِرِيْنَ   ١٧١؀ۚثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْاٰخَرِيْنَ   ١٧٢؀ۚوَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًا  ۚ فَسَاۗءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ   ١٧٣؁اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً  ۭ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ   ١٧٤؁وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ١٧٥؀ۧ

 

“(aur qoum) Lut ne bhi paighambaron ko jhutlaya. Jab un say un kay bhai Lut ne kaha keh tum kiyu nahi darte? Mein to tumhara amanatdaar paighambar  hoon, So Allah say daro aur mera kehna mano aur mein tum say us (kaam) ka badla nahi mangta. Mera badla (Allah) Rabb-ul-Aalmeen kay zimmay hai. Kiya tum Ahl-e-Aalam mein say ladko par mail hote ho aur tumhare parwardigaar ne tumhare liye jo tumhari biwiyan peda ki hain, Un ko chod dete ho? Haqeeqat yeh hai keh tum had say nikal jane wale ho. Woh kehne lagy keh Lut agar tum baaz nah aao ge to shehar badar kar diye jao ge. Lut ne kaha: Mein tumhare kaam ka sakht dushman hoon. Ae mere parwardigaar! Mujhe aur mere ghar waloon ko un kay kaamon (kay wabaal say) nijat de. So ham ne un ko aur un kay sab ghar waloon ko nijat di, Magar aik budhiya keh peechay reh gayi. Phir ham ne dosron ko halak kar diya aur un par meena barsaya, So (jo) meena un (logon) par (barsa) jo daraye gaye thay, Buhut bura tha. Beshak is mein nishani hai aur un mein say aksar iman lane wale nahi thay aur tumhara parwardigaar to ghalib (aur) mehrbaan hai .”  (Al Shu’ra: 26/160-175)

 

Aur farmaya:

 

وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اَتَاْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ وَاَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُوْنَ 54؀اَىِٕنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِّنْ دُوْنِ النِّسَاۗءِ  ۭ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْـهَلُوْنَ 55؁فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلَّا اَنْ قَالُوْٓا اَخْرِجُوْٓا اٰلَ لُوْطٍ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۚ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ 56؀فَاَنْجَيْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ  ۡ قَدَّرْنٰهَا مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ 57؁وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّطَرًا  ۚ فَسَاۗءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ   58؀ۧ

 

“Aur Lut ko (yaad karo) jab unhon ne apni qoum say kaha kiya tum dekhte bhalte be hayai (kay kaam) karte ho? Kiya tum aurton ko chod kar lazzat (hasil karne) kay liye mardon ki taraf mail hote ho? Haqeeqat yeh hai keh tum ahmaq log ho. Chunancha un ki qoum kay log (bole to) yeh bole aur us kay siwa un ka koi jawab nah tha keh Lut kay ghar waloon ko apne shehr say nikal do. Yeh log paak rehna chahte hain. Phir ham ne un ko aur un kay ghar waloon ko nijat de di. Magar un ki biwi keh us ki nisbat ham ne muqarrar kar rakha tha woh peeche rehne waloon mein hogi. Aur ham ne un par meena barsaya, So un logon par jin ko mutanabbah kar diya gaya tha, Jo meena barsa buhut bura tha.” (Al Namal: 27/54-58)

 

Lut ( علیہ السلام) aur un ki qoum ka tazkirah Quran Majeed ki deegar suratoon mein bhi is tarah kiya gaya hai. Irshad-e- Baari-e-Ta’aala hai:

 

وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اِنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ  ۡ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   28؀وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اِنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ  ۡ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   28؀قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِيْ عَلَي الْقَوْمِ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ   30؀ۧوَلَمَّا جَاۗءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ بِالْبُشْرٰى ۙ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّا مُهْلِكُوْٓا اَهْلِ هٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ  ۚ اِنَّ اَهْلَهَا كَانُوْا ظٰلِمِيْنَ 31؀ښ قَالَ اِنَّ فِيْهَا لُوْطًا  ۭ قَالُوْا نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيْهَا  ۅلَنُنَجِّيَنَّهٗ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ ڭ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ 32؀وَلَمَّآ اَنْ جَاۗءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوْطًا سِيْۗءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَّقَالُوْا لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ  ۣاِنَّا مُنَجُّوْكَ وَاَهْلَكَ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ   33؀اِنَّا مُنْزِلُوْنَ عَلٰٓي اَهْلِ هٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاۗءِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْسُقُوْنَ    34؀وَلَقَدْ تَّرَكْنَا مِنْهَآ اٰيَةًۢ بَيِّنَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَّعْقِلُوْنَ    35؀

 

“Aur Lut (ko yaad karo) jab unhon ne apni qoum say kaha keh tum (ajab) behayai ke murtakib hote ho. Tum say pahle Ahl-e-Aalam mein say kisi ne aesa kaam nahi kiya. Tum kiyu (lazzat kay irade say) mardon ki taraf mail hote ho aur musaafiron ki rehzani karte ho aur apni majlison mein na pasandeedah kaam karte ho. Phir un ki qoum kay log jawab mein bole to yeh bole keh agar tum sachay ho to ham par Allah ka azaab le aao. Lut ne kaha ae mere parwardigaar! In mufsid logon kay muqabilay mein meri nusrat farma. Aur jab farishtay Ibrahim kay paas khushi ki khabar le kar aaye to kehne lage keh ham is basti kay logon ko halak karne wale hain kiyu keh yahan kay rehne wale nafarmaan hain. Ibrahim ne kaha keh us mein to Lut bhi hain. Woh kehne lage jo log yahan ( rehte ) hain hamein sab maloom hai. Ham un ko aur un kay ghar waloon ko bacha lain ge bajuz un ki biwi kay keh woh peechay rehne waloom mein hogi. Aur jab hamare farishtay Lut kay paas aaye to woh un (ki wajah ) say na khush aur tang dil howe. Farishton ne kaha kuch khouf nah kijiye aur nah ranj kijiye, Ham  aap ko aur aap kay ghar waloon ko bacha lain gen magar aap ki biwi keh woh peechay rehne waloon mein hogi. Ham us basti kay rehne waloon par is sabab say keh yeh bad kirdaari karte rahe hain Aasmaan say azaab nazil karne wale hain. Aur ham ne samajhne waloon kay liye is basti mein say aik khuli nishani chod di.” (Al Ankabut: 29/28-35) neez Irshad-e- hai:

 

وَاِنَّ لُوْطًا لَّمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ  ١٣٣؀ۭاِذْ نَجَّيْنٰهُ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اَجْمَعِيْنَ  ١٣٤؀ۙاِلَّا عَجُوْزًا فِي الْغٰبِرِيْنَ  ١٣٥؁ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْاٰخَرِيْنَ  ١٣٦؁وَاِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُّصْبِحِيْنَ  ١٣٧؀ۙوَبِالَّيْلِ ۭ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ  ١٣٨؀ۧ

 

“Aur bila shuba Lut bhi paighambaron mein say thay. Jab ham ne un ko aur un kay ghar waloon ko (azaab say) nijat di. Magar aik budhiya keh peechay reh jane waloon mein thi. Phie ham ne dosron ko halak kar diya aur tum din ko bhi un (ki bastiyun) kay paas say guzarte rehte ho aur raat ko bhi. To kiya tum aqal nahi rakhte?” (Al Saaffaat: 37/133-138)

 

Surah Zaariyat mein Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ) kay mahmanon ka waqea bayan howa aur aap ko ilm wale ladke ki khush khabri milne ka zikr howa. Us kay baad farmaya:


قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ      31؀قَالُوْٓا اِنَّآ اُرْسِلْنَآ اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُّجْـرِمِيْنَ  32؀ۙلِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّنْ طِيْنٍ 33؀ۙمُّسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِيْنَ     34؀فَاَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيْهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ  35؀ۚفَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيْهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ   36؀ۚوَتَرَكْنَا فِيْهَآ اٰيَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ يَخَافُوْنَ الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَ   37؀ۭ

 

“Us (Ibrahim) ne kaha keh farishton! Tumhara mud’aa kiya hai? Unhon ne kaha keh ham gunah gaar logon ki taraf bheje gaye hain takkeh un par khanghar barsayain jin par had say badh jane waloon kay liye tumhare parwardigaar kay haan say nishan kar diye gaye hain. To wahan jitney momin thay un ko ham ne nikal liya aur us mein aik ghar kay siwa Musalamanoon ka koi ghar nah paya aur jo log dardnaak azaab say darte hain un kay liye wahan badi nishani chod di.” (Al Zaariyat: 51/31-37)

 

Aur aik maqaam par Irshad-e- hai:

 

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوْطٍۢ بِالنُّذُرِ 33؀اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا اِلَّآ اٰلَ لُوْطٍ ۭ نَجَّيْنٰهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ 34۝ۙنِّعْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِنَا ۭ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِيْ مَنْ شَكَرَ 35؀وَلَقَدْ اَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَـمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ 36؀وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوْهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهٖ فَطَمَسْـنَآ اَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ 37؀وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ 38۝ۚفَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ 39؀وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُّدَّكِرٍ 40۝ۧ

 

“Lut ki qoum ne bhi dar sunane waloon ko jhutlaya tha. To ham ne un par pathrao karne wali hawa chalayi magar Lut kay ghar wale keh ham ne un ko sehri kay waqt hi bacha liya aur apne fazal say shukr karne waloon ko ham aesa hi badla diya karte hain. Aur Lut ne un ko hamari pakad say daraya tha magar unhon ne darane mein shak kiya aur un say un kay mehmaano ko le lena chaha to ham ne un ki aankhain mita deen. So (ab) mere azaab aur darane kay maze chakho. Aur un par subah sawere he atal azaab aa nazil howa. So ab mere azaab aur darane kay maze chakho. Aur ham ne Quran ko samajhne kay liye aasan kar diya hai, To koi hai keh soche samjhay?” (Al Qamar: 54/33-40)

Ham ne tafseer mein apne apne maqam par in waqeeaat kay bare mein bayan kiya hai. Quran Majeed mein baaz deegar maqammat par bhi Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ka zikr howa hai jinhain Ham Hazrat Nuh ( علیہ السلام) aur Aad-o-Samood kay waqeeaat kay ziman mein bayan kar chuke hain.


Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) Ki Dawat-O-Tableegh


Jab Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne qoum ko yeh dawat di keh woh sirf Allah ki ibadat karain, Us kay sath kisi ko shareek nah karain, Aur unhain behayai kay kaamon say mana farmaya to aik aadmi ne bhi un ki baat nah maani aur iman qubool nah kiya, Nah mamnoo kaam tarak kiya. Woh usi haal par musir rahe aur Rasool ko apni basti say nikal dene ka iradah kar liya. Woh apne be aqal thay keh unhon ne paighambar ki baton ka sirf yahi jawab diya:

 

اَخْرِجُوْٓا اٰلَ لُوْطٍ مِّنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۚ اِنَّهُمْ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوْنَ

 

“Lut kay ghar waloon ko apne shehr say nikal do. Yeh log paak rehna chahte hain.” (Al Namal: 27/56)

 

Jo khoobi haqeeqat mein Qabil-e-Tareef thi, Un logon ne usi ko aese aeb kay tor par zikr kiya jis ki waja say unhain basti say nikal dena zaroori samjha. Is say un ki parlay darjay ki hat dharmi ka andaza lagaya ja sakta hai.

Allah Ta’aala ne aap ko aur aap ki biwi kay siwa ghar kay tamam afraad ko bade ache tareeqe say wahan say nikal liya aur unhain us gandagi mein mulawwis hone say bacha liya aur Allah Ta’aala ne us basti ko badbu daar namkeen paani ki jheel mein tabdeel kar diya jis mein gharq ho kar woh log jahannum ki bhadkati aag ka eindhan ban gaye.

Unhon ne Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki Dawat-o-Tableegh qubool karne say sirf is liye inkaar kiya keh aap unhain intihayi makrooh aur ghenao’ni behayai say mana farmate thay, Jis ka irtikaab in say pahle dunya mein kisi ne nahi kiya tha. Isi liye Allah Ta’aala ne bhi unhain woh saza di keh woh hamesha kay liye aik ibrat ka mura’qqa ban kar reh gaye.

Is kay ilawah woh raston mein dakay dalte, Musaafiron ko lootay, Doston say khayanat karte, Aam ijtima kay maqamaat par tarah tarah ki fuhash batain aur  fuhash  harkaat karte. Balkeh baaz auqaat majlis mein bhi bad fai’li ka irtikaab karte aur bilkul haya nah karte. Un par nah kisi nasihat ka asar hota, Nah kisi kay samjhane say baaz aate thay. Unhain nah moujoodah gunahoon say sharam thi, Nah sabiqa gunaho par nadamat aur nah mustaqbil mein islah ki niyat. Isi liye Allah Ta’aala ne unhain sakht saza di.

 

Unhon ne apne Nabi say yahan tak keh diya

 

ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ

 

“Agar tum sachay ho to ham par Allah ka azaab le aao.” (Al Ankabut: 29/29)

 

Goya Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) unhain jis azaab say darate thay, Unhon ne khud hi us ka mutalabah kar dala.


Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) kay mehmaan aur qoum ka kirdar


Jab Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne dekha kay qoum ki sarkashi mein roz ba roz izafa hota jaa raha hai to un kay khilaaf bad dua farmayi aur Allah Ta’aala say iltija ki keh fasaadiyun kay khilaaf Allah Ta’aala aap ki madad farmaye.

Allah Ta’aala ne aap ki dua qubool farmayi aur aap ki narazi ki wajah say qoum par Allah ka azaab nazil howa. Us ne un logon ko saza dene kay liye apne farishtay bhej diye, Jo Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ) kay paas say ho kar gaye aur aap ko ilm wale bachay ki khush khabri aur Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki qoum par azaab kay nuzool ki khabar dete gaye. Irshad-e- Baari-e-Ta’aala hai:

 

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُوْنَ      31؀قَالُوْٓا اِنَّآ اُرْسِلْنَآ اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُّجْـرِمِيْنَ  32؀ۙلِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّنْ طِيْنٍ 33؀ۙمُّسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِيْنَ 34؀

 

“Ibrahim ne kaha keh farishton! Tumhara mudd’aa aur maqsad kiya hai? Unhon ne kaha keh ham gunahgaar logon ki taraf bheje gaye hain Takeh un par khanghar barsayain jin par had say tajawuz karne waloon kay liye tumhare parwardigaar kay haan say nishan kar diye gaye hain. (Al Zaariyat: 51/31-34)

 

Neez Irshad-e- farmaya:

 

وَلَمَّا جَاۗءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ بِالْبُشْرٰى ۙ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّا مُهْلِكُوْٓا اَهْلِ هٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ  ۚ اِنَّ اَهْلَهَا كَانُوْا ظٰلِمِيْنَ 31؀ښ قَالَ اِنَّ فِيْهَا لُوْطًا  ۭ قَالُوْا نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيْهَا  ۅلَنُنَجِّيَنَّهٗ وَاَهْلَهٗٓ اِلَّا امْرَاَتَهٗ ڭ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغٰبِرِيْنَ 32؀

 

“Aur jab hamare farishtay Ibrahim kay paas khush khabri le kar aaye to kehne lage keh ham is basti kay logon ko halak kar dene wale hain kiyukeh yahan keh rehne wale nafarmaan hain. Ibrahim ne kaha keh us mein to Lut bhi hain. Woh kehne lage keh jo log yahan (rehte) hain hamein sab maloom hai. Ham un ko aur un kay ghar waloon bacha lain ge bajuz un ki biwi kay keh woh peechay rehne waloon mein hogi.” (Al Ankabut: 29/31-32)

 

Aur farmaya:

 

فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاۗءَتْهُ الْبُشْرٰي يُجَادِلُنَا فِيْ قَوْمِ لُوْطٍ   74؀ۭ

 

“Jab Ibrahim say khouf jata raha aur un  ko khush khabri bhi mil gayi to Qoum-e-Lut  kay bare mein ham say behs karne lage.” (Hood: 11/74)

 

Dar asal Ibrahim (علیہ السلام  ) ko umeed thi keh woh log kabhi to Lut ( علیہ السلام) ki baat maan kar Islam qubool kar lain ge aur apne jaraim say baaz aa jayain ge. Is liye Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya hai:

 

اِنَّ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ لَحَلِيْمٌ اَوَّاهٌ مُّنِيْبٌ       75؀يٰٓـــاِبْرٰهِيْمُ اَعْرِضْ عَنْ ھٰذَا  ۚ اِنَّهٗ قَدْ جَاۗءَ اَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَاِنَّهُمْ اٰتِيْهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُوْدٍ     76؀

 

“Beshak Ibrahim bade hilm wale, Naram dil aur ruju karne wale thay. Se Ibrahim! Is baat ko jane do, Tumhare parwardigaar ka hukum aa pohncha hai aur un logon par azaab aane wala hai jo kabhi nahi talay ga.” (Hood: 11/75-76)

 

Yaani Allah Ta’aala ka qataee faisla aa chuka hai, Sb unhain saza mil kar rahe gi, Usay koi taal nahi sakta.

 

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair, Sudi, Qatadah aur Mohmmad bin Ishaq (رحم اللہ علیھم ) ne bayan farmaya hai keh Hazrat Ibrahim ( علیہ السلام) ne farishton say kaha: “Agar basti mein teen so momin hoon, To kiya aap log usay tabah kar dain ge?” Unhon ne kaha: “Nahi.” Aap ne farmaya: “Agar do so momin hoon?” Unhon ne kaha: “Nahi.” Aap ne farmaya: “Agar chalees hoon?” Unhon ne kaha: “Nahi.” Aap ne farmaya: “Agar choda (14) momin hoon?” Woh bole : “nahi”

Ibn-e-Ishaq ki riwayat kay mutabiq Hazrat Ibrahim ( علیہ السلام) ne farmaya: “Yeh batao keh agar wahan aik momin mojod ho?” Farishton ne kaha: “Tab bhi (Ham basti ko halak) nahi (karain ge).” Tab Hazrat Ibrahim (علیہ السلام) ne farmaya: اِنَّ فِيْهَا لُوْطًا   “Us mein Lut (علیہ السلام) mojod hain.” Farishton ne kaha: نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيْهَا   (Surah Al Ankabut: 32) “Hamein khoob maloom hai keh us mein kon kon hai.” ( Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer: 289/4, Tafseer Surah Hood, Ayat: 76 )

Ahl-e-Kitab kehte hain keh aap ne farmaya: “Ya Rabb! Kiya tu unhain tabah kare ga jab keh un mein pachas naik aadmi mojod hoon?” Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya: “Agar un mein pachas naik aadmi mojod hoon to mein unhain halak nahi karoon ga.” Hatta keh aap ne das afraad ka zikr kiya to Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya: “Agar un mein das bhi naik aadmi howe to mein unhain halak nahi karoon ga.” (kitab paidaish, Baab: 18, Fiqrah: 32 ta 33 )

 

Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya:

 

وَلَمَّا جَاۗءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوْطًا سِيْۗءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَّقَالَ ھٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيْبٌ    

 

“Aur jab hamare farishtay Lut kay paas aaye to woh un (kay aane) say gham naak aur tang dil howe aur kehne lage keh aaj ka din badi mushkil ka din hai .” (Hood: 11/77)

 

Mufassireen farmatay hai: “Jab farishtay yaani Jibraeel, Mikaeel aur Israfeel ( علیھم السلام) Hazrat Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ) kay paas say rukhsat howe to Sudoom kay ilaqe mein aa gaye. Woh khoobsoorat jawan ladkon ki soorat mein thay. Us mein Allah Ta’aala ki taraf say us qoum ki aazmaish thi taakeh un par hujjat qaim ho jaye. Jab woh pohnchay to suraj guroob ho raha tha. Unhon ne Lut (علیہ السلام ) say un kay haan mehmaan ban’ne ki ijazat talab ki. Unhon ne socha keh agar mein ne un ki mehmaani nah ki to koi aur shaks unhain apna mehmaan bana le ga, Halankeh woh log intihai bad kirdaar hain. Aap isi wajah say pareshan howe keh aap ko maloom tha keh mehmaano ka difa aur bad karoon say un ka bachao aik mushkil kaam hai. Aap ko pahle bhi is kaam ki anjaam dahi mein sakht mushkilaat paish aa chuki theen aur shehr kay logon ne pahle say keh rakha tha keh kisi ajnabi ko apna mehmaan nah banaye.

Hazrat Qatadah (رحمہ اللہ ) farmate hain: “Farishtay(insaani soorat mein) aap kay paas aaye to aap khaiton mein kaam kar rahe thay. Unhon ne aap kay haan thehrane ki khuwahish zahir ki.aap ko un ki darkhuwast rud karne say sharam aayi, Is liye aap un kay aage aage (ghar ki taraf) chal pade. Aap ( علیہ السلام ) un say isharon kinayun mein aesi batain kehne lage jin ko sun kar woh us basti say chale jayain aur kisi dosri basti mein ja thehrain. Aap ne un say kaha: “Qasam hai Allah ki! Mein nahi jaanta keh roye zameen par is basti say waloon say zayada ganday aur khabees log bhi hongay.” (Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer: 290/4, Tafseer Surah Hood, Ayat: 77  )

 

Phir thoda sa chale phir yahi baat farmayi. Isi tarah aap ne char baar yeh baat Irshad-e- farmayi. Farishton ko Allah ki taraf say yeh hukum mila tha keh qoum ko us waqt tak tabah nah karain jab tak un ka Nabi un kay khilaaf gawahi nah day le.

Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya: وَمِنْ قَبْلُ كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ السَّيِّاٰتِ   (Hood: 11/78) yaani woh log pahley bhi bade bade gunahon ka irtikaab kartay thay.

Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne un ko baaz rakhne kay liye mukhtalif qisam kay harbay istimal kiye. Irshad-e–e-Baari Ta’aala hai: قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ بَنَاتِيْ هُنَّ اَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ (Hood: 11/78) “Lut ne kaha: Ae qoum! Yeh (jo meri qoum ki) ladkiyan hain, Yeh tumhare liye (jaiz aur) paak hain.”

Matlab yeh tha keh apni biwiyun say khuwahishaat poori karo jo shara’ee tor par aap ki betiyan theen kiyu keh ummat mein Nabi ka maqaam walid ka sa hota hai, Jaise keh Hadith mein mazkoor hai aur Quran Majeed mein bhi Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya hai:

 

اَلنَّبِيُّ اَوْلٰى بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ مِنْ اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَاَزْوَاجُهٗٓ اُمَّهٰتُهُمْ

 

“Paighambar mominoon par un ki jaan say bhi zayada haq rakhte hain aur paighambar ki biwiyan un ki maain hain.” (Al Ahzab: 33/6)

 

Lut (علیہ السلام ) ka yeh kehna keh meri betiyan tumhare liye paak hain, Ka yahi matlab hai jis ki wazahat mazkoorah bala sutoor mein ho chuki hai. Aur is ki mazeed wazahat is ayat say ho jaati hai, Irshad-e–e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

اَتَاْتُوْنَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   ١٦٥؀ۙوَتَذَرُوْنَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِّنْ اَزْوَاجِكُمْ  ۭ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عٰدُوْنَ   ١٦٦؁
 

“Kiya tum Ahl-e-Aalam mein say ladko par mail hote ho aur tumhare parwardigaar ne jo tumhare liye tumhari biwiyan peda ki hain un ko chod dete ho? Haqeeqat yeh hai keh tum had say nikal jane wale ho .” (Al Shu’ara: 26/165-166)

 

Muta’adad Sahabah (  رضی اللہ عنھم) Tab’een (  رحم اللہ علیھم) ne yahi matlab bayan farmaya hai. Is ayat ki dosri tashreeh  (Ayat-e-Mubarikah هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ بَنَاتِيْ  ka matlab baaz ulma ne yeh bayaan kiya hai keh Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne farmaya: Meri betiyun say nikah kar lo, Woh kehte hain keh aap ne yeh pesh kash is liye ki keh yeh rishta qaim hone ki soorat mein woh ahsaas karain ge aur apne susar kay mehmaano ko tang nahi kiya karain ge. Musannif ( رحمہ اللہ ) kay nazkeek yeh tashreeh durust nahi.) galat hai jo Ahl-e-Kitab say makhooz hai. (Dekhiye: Kitab-e-Pedaish: Baab: 19) yeh un ki aik buhut badi galati hai jaise un ki bayaan kardah yeh baat galat hai keh farishtay sirf do thay aur unhon ne aap kay haan khana khaya. Ahl-e-Kitab ne is waqe ki tafseel mein aur bhi buhut si galatiyan ki hain.

 

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne farmaya:

 

فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُخْزُوْنِ فِيْ ضَيْفِيْ ۭ اَلَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيْدٌ

 

“So Allah say daro aur mere mehmaano (kay bare) mein mujhe zaleel nah karo. Kiya tum  mein koi bhi shaista aadmi nahi?” (Hood: 11/78)

 

Aap ne un logo ko be hayai kay irtikaab say mana farmaya. Is bayaan mein qoum kay bare mein aap ki yeh gawahi payi jati hai keh un logon mein aik shaks bhi aesa nahi tha jis mein sharafat aur neki ki ramaq payi jati ho. Balkeh woh sab kay sab ahmaq, Bad kaar aur Kafir thay. Farishtay aap say kuch kehne say qabal yahi kuch aap ki zuban say sun’na chahte thay.

Woh bad kirdaari kay jazbaat say is qadar maghloob thay keh jab paighambar ne unhain sinfi jazbaat ki takmeel kay jaiz tareeqe ki taraf tawajah dilayi to unhon ne be hayai ka muzaharah karte howe paighambar say saaf keh diya:

 

لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِيْ بَنٰتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ ۚ وَاِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيْدُ     79؀

 

“(Ae Lut) aap ko maloom hai keh ham tumhari (qoum ki) betiyun ki khuwahish nahi rakhte. Ham jo chahte hain woh aap ko maloom hi hai.” (Hood: 11/79)

 

Unhain yeh baat kehte howe na mu’aziz aur paak baaz Rasool say sharam aayi nah Allah Azeem-o-Bartar ki girift say khouf mahsoos howa. Isi liye aap ne farmaya:

 

لَوْ اَنَّ لِيْ بِكُمْ قُوَّةً اَوْ اٰوِيْٓ اِلٰي رُكْنٍ شَدِيْدٍ   80 ؀

 

“Ae kash! Mujh mein tumhare muqabile ki taqat hoti ya mein kisi mazboot qilay mein panah pakad sakta.” (Hood: 11/80)

 

Aap ne yeh tamanna ki keh kash! Aap ko un ka muqabila karne ki quwwat hasil hoti ya aap kay khandaan aur qabeelay kay afraad wahan mojod hote jo un kay khilaaf aap ki madad karte taakeh woh unhain is bad tameezi ki munasib saza day sakte.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah ( رضی اللہ عنہ) say riwayat hai keh Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) ne farmaya: “Ham Ibrahim ( علیہ السلام) say zayada shak karne ka haq rakhte hain. ( jab hamein shak nahi keh Allah Ta’aala murdon ko zindah kar sakta hai to Ibrahim (علیہ السلام ) kese shak kar sakte hain? Yaani aap ka yeh sawal keh murdon ko zindah kar kay dikhaya jaye shak ki wajah say nahi tha balkeh yaqeen mein izafay kay liye tha.) Aur Allah Ta’aala Lut (علیہ السلام ) par rahmat nazil farmaye, Woh aik mazboot saharay ki panah letay thay. (yaani agarchah bazahir un ka koi aesa haami nahi tha jis ki wajah say woh badma’aashon kay shar say mahfooz rehte. Isi wajah say unhon ne kaha: Agar mera koi mazboot (dunyawi) sahara hota to tum mujhe pareshan karne ki jurat nah karte, Taa ham un ka ai’temad Allah Ta’aala par tha jo waqaee aik mazboot sahara hai balkeh haqeeqat mein wahi mazboot sahara hai, Baqi sab kamzoor hain.) aur agar mein itna arsa qaid mein rehta, Jitna arsa Yusuf (علیہ السلام ) rahe to mein bulane wale ki baat maan leta (us kay kehne par jail say bahir aa jata) ( mein is ai’timaad par jail say bahir aa jata keh Allah Ta’aala mujhe jhotay ilzam say kisi aur andaz say bari kar de ga. Lekin Yusuf (علیہ السلام ) ne zayada istiqamat ka rasta ikhtiyaar kiya keh us waqt tak jail say bahir aane say inkar kar diya jab tak un ka daman jhotay ilzam say paak nah ho jaye taakeh koi yeh nah sochay keh Yusuf ko jail say nijat baadshah ki mehrbaani say howi hai, Aap ki be gunahi ki wajah say nahi.) (Sahih Bukhari, Ahadith-ul-Anbiya, baab و نبئھم عن ضیف….., Hadith: 3372)

 

Aik riwayat mein hai keh Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) ne farmaya: “Lut (علیہ السلام ) par Allah ki rahmat nazil ho, Woh aik mazboot saharay ki panah letay thay (yaani Allah Ta’aala ki) aap kay baad Allah ne jo bhi Nabi bheja hai, Woh qoum kay khatay peetay gharaanay mein say bheja hai.”  ( Al Mustadrik lil Hakim: 2/561 )


Nabi Mukaram Ki Qoum Ko Mukhlisaana Naseehat:


Bad kirdaar qoum ne jab Lut (علیہ السلام ) kay khoobsoorat mehmaanon ko dekha to apni galeez khuwahish say maghloob ho kar dodtay howe aaye. Lut(علیہ السلام ) ne unhain bade mushfiqaanah andaaz mein samjhaya magar woh bad fitrat andhay ho chukay thay.

 

Irshad-e–e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

وَجَاۗءَ اَهْلُ الْمَدِيْنَةِ يَسْـتَبْشِرُوْنَ 67؀ قَالَ اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ ضَيْفِيْ فَلَا تَفْضَحُوْنِ 68؀ۙ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُخْــزُوْنِ 69؀ قَالُوْٓا اَوَلَمْ نَــنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ 70؀ قَالَ هٰٓؤُلَاۗءِ بَنٰتِيْٓ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ فٰعِلِيْنَ 71؀ۭ

 

“Aur Ahl-e-Shehr (Lut kay paas) khush khush (doday) aaye (Lut ne) kaha: Yeh mere mehmaan hain (kahin un kay bare mein) mujhe ruswa nah karna aur Allah say daro aur mujhe zaleel nah karo. Woh bole kiya ham ne tum ko sare jahan (ki Himayat-o-Tarafdaari) say mana nahi kiya? (Unhon ne) kaha: Agar tumhain karna he hai to yeh meri (qoum ki) ladkiyan hain, (un say shadi kar lo.”) (Al Hijr: 15/67-71)

 

Yaani Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne logon ko hukum diya keh apni biwiyun kay paas jaya karain aur burayi kay jis tareeqay ko ikhtiyaar kiye howe hain, Tarak kar dain. Lekin unhon aap kay farmaan par koi tawajah nah di. Unhon ne apne haya soz mutalibay ko duhraya aur Lut (علیہ السلام ) kay mehmaano ki izzat say khelnay par musir rahe. Unhain maloom nahi tha keh un ki taqdeer unhain kis anjaam ki taraf le ja rahi hai aur subah ko un par koi si aafat totnay wali hai. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

وَلَقَدْ اَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَـمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ 36؀ وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوْهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهٖ فَطَمَسْـنَآ اَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ 37؀ وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ 38۝ۚ

 

“Aur Lut ne un ko hamari pakad say daraya tha magar unhon ne darane mein shak kiya aur un say un kay mehmaano ko lay lena chaha to ham ne un ki ankhain mita deen. So (ab) mere azaab aur darane kay mazay chakho, Aur un par subah sawaray hi atal azaab aa nazil howa.” (Al Qamar: 54/36-38)

Mufassireen farmate hain: Allah kay Nabi Lut (علیہ السلام ) apni qoum ko ghar mein dakhil hone say rokne ki koshish karte rahe. Darwaza band tha. Woh log use kholne aur andar ghusne ki koshish kar rahe thay. Aap darwazay kay peechay say unhain  nasihat farma rahe thay. ( Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer: 7/445, Tafseer Surah Al Qamar, Ayat: 37 )

Jab Soorat-e-Haal nazuk ho gayi to aap ne farmaya   لَوْ اَنَّ لِيْ بِكُمْ قُوَّةً اَوْ اٰوِيْٓ اِلٰي رُكْنٍ شَدِيْدٍ    “Ae kash! Mujh mein tumhare muqabilay ki taqat hoti ya mein kisi mazboot qilay mein panah pakad sakta.” Tab farishton ne kaha:يٰلُوْطُ اِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَّصِلُوْٓا اِلَيْكَ  “Ae Lut! Ham tumhare parwardigaar kay farishtay hain. Yeh log hagiz tum tak nahi pohnch sakte.”

Mufassireen farmate hain keh jiraeel ( علیہ السلام) bahir tashreef le gaye, Apne par ka aik kinarah un kay chehron par maara to woh andhay ho gaye. Hatta keh baaz ulma kay qoul kay mutabiq un ki aankhain bilkul ma’doom ho gayi. Nah un ki jaga baki rahi (jo chere ki haddi mein gadhe ki soorat mein hoti hai) nah koi nishan baki raha. Woh deewaron ko tatoltay aur Allah kay Nabi (علیہ السلام ) ko dhamkiyan dete lot gaye. Jaate howe woh keh rahe thay: “Jab subah hogi to tum say niptain ge.” ( Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer: 7/445, Tafseer Surah Al Qamar, Ayat: 37 )


Azaab Ka Nuzool


Jab Lut ( علیہ السلام) ne har tarah say qoum par Itamam-e-Hujjat kar diya to Azaab-e-Ilahi un par musallat kar diya gaya, Aur aap ki nafarmaan biwi bhi isi azaab mein mubtala ho gayi. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوْهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهٖ فَطَمَسْـنَآ اَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوْقُوْا عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ 37؀ وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ 38۝ۚ

 

“Aur Unhon ne un say un kay mehmaano ko le lena chaha to ham ne un ki aankhain mita deen. So (ab) mere azaab aur darane kay maze chakho. Aur subah saware hi atal azaab aa nazil howa.” (Al Qamar: 54/37-38)

Farishton ne Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki taraf mutawajjah ho kar kaha keh aap apne ghar waloon ko le kar raat kay aakhri hisay mein yahan say tashreef le jayain. Aur jab qoum par azaab nazil ho to un ki awaaz sun kar tum mein say koi mud kar nah dekhay. Aur aap ko hukum howa keh aap sab hamrahiyun kay peechay chalain

اِلَّا امْرَاَتَكَ   “Teri biwi kay siwa” Us kay do mafhoom ho sakte hain: Aik matlab yeh hai keh apne ghar waloon ko le chalilye magar apni biwi ko sath nah lijiye. Dosra matlab yeh hai keh koi peechay mud kar nah dekhay ga, Siwaye aap ki biwi kay, Woh zaroor mud kar dekhay gi to us par wahi azaab aa jaye ga jo dosray kafiron par aaya.

 

Imam Suhaili kehte hain: Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki biwi ka naam “Waliha” aur Nuh (علیہ السلام ) ki biwi ka naam “Waligha” tha.

 

Farishton ne un badkaroon ki halakat ki khush khabri dete howe Lut (علیہ السلام ) say farmaya:

 

اِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ  ۭ اَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيْبٍ

 

“Un kay (azaab kay) wade ka waqt subah hai aur kiya subah kuch subah kuch door hai?” (Hood: 11/81)

 

Jab Lut (علیہ السلام ) rawana howe to aap kay sath sirf aap ki do betiyan theen. Qoum ka aik shaks bhi aap kay sath nahi tha. Aik qoul kay mutabiq aap ki biwi bhi rawana howi thi. ( واللہ اعلم)

Jab woh log shehr say nikal gaye aur suraj tul’oo howa to Allah ka azaab bhi aa gaya, Jisay taal dena kisi kay bas mein nahi tha. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

فَلَمَّا جَاۗءَ اَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ ڏ مَّنْضُوْدٍ           2؀ۙ مُّسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ  ۭ وَمَا ھِيَ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بِبَعِيْدٍ         83؀ۧ

 

“To jab hamara hukum aaya ham ne us (basti) ko (ulat kar) neechay uppar kar diya. Aur un par pathar kay teh bah teh kankar barsaye jin par tumhare parwardigaar kay haan say nishan kiye howe thay aur woh (basti un Ahl-e-Makkah kay) zalimon say kuch baeed nahi.” (Hood: 11/82-83)

Ulama-e-Kiraam farmate hain: Jibraeel (علیہ السلام ) ne apne par say un saat bastiyun ko jadon say ukhad diya jin mein chaar lakh ya chalees lakh afraad thay. Un mein mojod janwaron samait unhain  Aasmano tak buland kiya, Hatta keh farishton ne un kay murghon ki azaano  aur kutoon kay bhonkne ki aawazain suni. Phir unhain ulat kar phenk diya.

[سِجِّيْلٍ] ka matlab “sakht mazboot” aur  [مَّنْضُوْدٍ  ]  ka matlab yeh keh woh Aasman say aik dosray kay peechay aa rahe thay aur qoum par musalsil baras rahe thay.  [مُّسَوَّمَةً] yaani har pathar par kisi nah kisi aadmi ka naam likha howa tha. Woh usi par girta aur us ka sar kuchal deta tha. Surah Najam  mein Irshad hai:

 

وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ اَهْوٰى   53؀ۙ فَغَشّٰـىهَا مَا غَشّٰى   54؀ۚ فَبِاَيِّ اٰلَاۗءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَـمَارٰى   55؀

 

“Aur us ne ulti howi bastiyun ko de patka. Phir un par chhaya jo chhaya, Lihaza (ae insaan!) tu apne parwardigaar ki kon kon si nemat par jhagday ga?” (Al Najam: 53/53-55)

Yaani Allah Ta’aala ne un bastiyun ko is tarah ulat diya keh un ka uppar wala hisa nechay ho gaya, Phir musalsil patharon ki barish say unhain nazron say ujhal kar diya. Har pathar par us shaks ka naam likha howa tha jis par usay girna tha, Khuwah un mein say koi apne shehr mein mojod tha ya safar ki wajah say shehr say bahir tha.

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki biwi kay bare mein aik qoul to yeh keh woh apni qoum kay sath shehr mein rahi (is liye woh bhi wahin azaab ki lapait mein aa gayi)

Dosra qoul yeh hai keh woh apne khawand aur dono betiyun kay hamraah rawanah howi thi. Lekin jab shehr kay tabah hone ki aawaz aur halak hone waloon ka shor suna, To Allah kay hukum ki khilaf warzi karte howe qoum ki taraf mud kar dekha aur boli: “Haye meri qoum!” Wahin us par aik pathar aa pada, Jis ne us ka sar phaad kar usay us ki qoum say mila diya. Woh inhi logon kay mazhab par thi aur Lut ( علیہ السلام) ki jasoosi karte howe aap kay paas aane wale mehmaano kay bare mein qoum ko itlaa de diya karti thi. Jaisa keh Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا امْرَاَتَ نُوْحٍ وَّامْرَاَتَ لُوْطٍ ۭ كَانَتَا تَحْتَ عَبْدَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا صَالِحَيْنِ فَخَانَتٰهُمَا فَلَمْ يُغْنِيَا عَنْهُمَا مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْــــًٔا وَّقِيْلَ ادْخُلَا النَّارَ مَعَ الدّٰخِلِيْنَ 10؀

 

“Allah ne Kafiron kay liye Nuh ki biwi aur Lut ki biwi ki misaal bayan farmayi hai. Dono hamare naik bando kay ghar mein thi aur dono ne un ki khayanat ki to woh Allah kay muqabilay mein un auraton kay kuch bhi kaam nah aaye aur un ko hukum diya gaya keh dosray dakhil hone waloon kay sath tum bhi dozakh mein dakhil ho jao!” (Al Tahreem: 66/10)

Khayanat say muraad yeh hai keh unhon ne Deen kay mamlay mein Nabiyun ki perwi nahi ki. Us ka yeh matlab nahi keh woh bad kaari mein mulawwis theen. حاشا و کلا Allah Ta’aala kisi Nabi ko is aafat mein mubtala nahi fermata keh us ki biwi bad kaari ka irtikaab kare.

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Abbas  aur deegar Sahaba Kiraam (رضی اللہ عنھم ), ghair Sahaba Ulma-e-Kiraam (رحم اللہ علیھم) bayan karte hain: “Kisi Nabi ki biwi ne kabhi bad kaari nahi ki. Jo shaks is kay baraks mouqaf ikhtiyaar karta hai woh buhut badi galati ka irtikaab karta hai.” (Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer: 8/192, Tafseer Surah Al Tahreem: Ayat: 10 )

 

Waqeaa ifik mein jab munafiqeen ne Umm-ul-Momineen Hazrat Aisha (رضی اللہ عنھا ) par be bunyad ilzam tarashi ki to Allah Ta’aala ne mominon ko Zajar-o-Tanbeeh karte howe farmaya:

 

اِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهٗ بِاَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَــقُوْلُوْنَ بِاَفْوَاهِكُمْ مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ وَّتَحْسَبُوْنَهٗ هَيِّنًا ڰ وَّهُوَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِيْمٌ  15؀ وَلَوْلَآ اِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوْهُ قُلْتُمْ مَّا يَكُوْنُ لَنَآ اَنْ نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِھٰذَا ڰ سُبْحٰنَكَ ھٰذَا بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيْمٌ  16؀

 

“Jab tum apni zubano say us ka aik dosray say zikr karte thay aur apne mun say aesi baat kehte thay jis ka tum ko kuch ilm nah tha aur tum usay aik halki baat samjhate thay aur Allah kay nazdeek woh badi baat thi. Aur jab tum ne usay suna to kiyu nah kaha keh hamein shayaan nahi keh aesi baat zuban par layain. (parwardigaar) tu paak hai. Yeh to (buhut) bada buhtaan hai.” (Al Noor: 24/15-16)

Yaani ae Allah! Yeh baat teri shan k ay laiq nahi keh tere Nabi ki biwi say yeh harkat sar zad ho. Yahan yeh farmaya hai: وَمَا ھِيَ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بِبَعِيْدٍ  “Aur woh (basti) un zalimon say kuch door nahi.”

Is ka matlab jo koi in badkaroon jaisi harkat kare ga, Yeh saza usay bhi mil sakti hai.

Isi wajah say baaz ulma ka mouqaf hai keh Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki badkaar qoum jaisa jurum karne wale ko sangsaar karna chahiye, Khuwah woh shadi shuda ho ya gair shadi shuda. Imam Shafee, Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, aur deegar buhut say Aima-e-Kiraam (رحم اللہ علیھم ) ne sarahat say is raye ka izhaar kiya hai. Unhon ne Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (رضی اللہ عنہ ) say marwi is Hadith say istidlaal kiya hai keh Rasoolullah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne farmaya: “Jisay tum Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki qoum wala kaam karte dekho to karne wale ko bhi qatal kar do aur jis kay sath bad faili ki gayi, Usay bhi qatal kar do.” ( Masnad-e-Ahmad: 1/300, Jame Tirmizi, Al Hudood, Baab-o-Maa Jaa Fi Hadd-e-Al Looti, Hadith: 1456)

Imam Abu Hanifa (رحمہ اللہ ) ne mazkoorah bala Ayat-e-Kareema ki roshni mein yeh mouqaf ikhtiyaar kiya hai keh is jurum ka irtikaab karne wale ko aunchay pahad say neechay gira diya jaye, Phir us par pathar barsaye jayain, Jis tarah Lut (علیہ السلام )  ki qoum ko yahi saza di gayi thi.


Ahl-e-Khurd kay liye Maqaam-e-Ibrat


Allah Ta’aala ne un bastiyun ki jagah aik badbu daar jheel bana di, Jis kay paani say aur us kay ird gird ki Zameen say koi faida nahi uthaya jaa sakta kiyu woh qit’aa Zameen intihayi nikamma aur be kaar hai. Yeh Allah ki taraf say us ki qudrat, Azmat aur us ki girift ki aik nishani ban chuka hai. Is say yeh bhi zahir hota hai keh Allah apne bandon par rahmat farma kar unhain tabahi say bachata aur andheron say nikal kar roshni mein le jaata hai. Chunancha Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً  ۭ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ Ď۝ وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ Ḍ۝ۧ

 

“be shak us mein nishani hai, Aur un mein aksar iman lane wale nahi thay, Aur tumhara parwardigaar to galib (aur) mehrbaan hai.” (Al Shu’ara: 26/8-9)

 

Allah Ta’aala ne farmaya:

 

فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِيْنَ 73؀ۙ فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ 74؀ۭ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِيْنَ 75؀ وَاِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيْلٍ مُّقِيْمٍ 76؀ اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ     77؀ۭ

 

“So un ko suraj nikalte nikalte chinghad ne aa pakda aur ham ne us (shehr) ko (ulat kar) neechay uppar kar diya aur un par khanghar ki pathariyan barsayi. Beshak is qisay mein Ahl-e-Farasat kay liye nishani hai aur woh (shehr) ab tak seedhay raste par (mojood) hai. Beshak is mein iman lane waloon kay liye nishani hai.” (Al Hijr: 15/73-75)

Yaani jo shaks un kay waqe par gour kare ga aur Fahm-o-Farasat istimal kare ga, Us kay liye is waqe mein ibrat ki neshaniyan mojood hain keh Allah Ta’aala ne un bastiyun ki halat kis tarah tabdeel farma di keh jo kabhi aabad bastiyaan theen, Ab weeran khandar ban chuki hain.

وَاِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيْلٍ مُّقِيْمٍ 76؀ “Aur woh (shehr) ab tak seedhay raste par (mojood) hai.” Ka matlab yeh hai keh woh bastiyaan us shahraah par waqe theen jis par ab bhi log safar karte hain. Jaise farmaya:

 

وَاِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُّصْبِحِيْنَ  ١٣٧؀ۙ وَبِالَّيْلِ ۭ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ  ١٣٨؀ۧ

 

“Aur tum din ko bhi un (ki bastiyun) kay paas say guzarte rehte ho aur raat ko bhi. To kiya tum aqal nahi rakhte?” (Al Saffat: 37/137-138)

 

Aur mazeed farmaya:

 

فَاَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيْهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ  35؀ۚ فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيْهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ   36؀ۚ وَتَرَكْنَا فِيْهَآ اٰيَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ يَخَافُوْنَ الْعَذَابَ الْاَلِيْمَ   37؀ۭ

 

“To wahan jitney momin thay, Un ko ham ne nikal liya us mein aik ghar kay siwa Musalmano ka koi ghar nah paya aur jo log dardnaak azaab say darte hain, Un kay liye wahan nishaniyan chod deen” (Al Zaariyaat: 51/35-37)

 

Yaani ham ne unhain us shaks kay liye Bais-e-Ibrat-o-Nasihat bana diya hai jo aakhrat kay azaab say khouf zada hai, Rabb kay samne peshi say darta hai, Apne aap ko Khuwahishaat-e-Nafs  say bachata hai, Allah kay haram kardah kamon say parhaiz karta hai aur gunaho say door rehta hai, Woh darta hai keh us ki mushabahat Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ki bad kirdaar qoum say nah hojaye kiyu keh jo shaks kisi qoum ki mushabahat ikhtiyaar kare woh unhi mein say shumaar hoga agarcha kuli tor par un say mushabahat nah ho, Juzwi tor par he ho.

Apne Rabb say darne wala samajhdaar aqal mand aadmi, Ahkaam-e-Rabbani ki tameel karta hai aur paighambar ki hidayaat qubool karta hai, Apni jaiz khuwahishaat poori karne kay liye apni mankooha biwiyun kay paas jata hai, Jinhain Allah ne is kay liye peda kiya hai. Usay chahiye keh shetan ki perwi say bach kar rahe taakeh Allah ki waeed ki zad mein nah aajaye aur is par Allah ka yeh farmaan sadiq nah aajaye:

 

وَمَا ھِيَ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بِبَعِيْدٍ        

 

“Aur woh (tabah shuda basti) un zalimon say kuch bhi door nahi.” (Hood: 11/83)

 


Nataij-o-Fawaid…………Ibratain-o-Hikmatain


Lawatat Aik Qabeeh-o-Shanee Jurm:

 

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) jis qoum ki taraf maboos kiye gaye thay woh tarah tarah kay gunahon mein dhansi howi thi. Un ka sab say bada aur qabeeh jurum, Mardon say ham jins parasti thi jo unhi ki aijaad tha. Lazzat-e-Aashnayi aur shahwat parasati mein yeh qoum tamam hadain phalaang chuki thi. Shahwat raani ki intiha ko pohnchi howi is qoum ne fitri aur tabaee tareeqon ko tarak kar kay, Lawatat kay ghair fitri, Ghair tabaee aur shanee jurum ko ikhtiyaar kiya. Is ghair shaista  aur qabeeh jurum ki qabahat us waqt aur bhi badh jati jab woh yeh jurum Sar-e-Sam mahfilon  mein aik dosray kay samne karte ya Sar-e-Raah karte jis say musafiron aur raah guzron ko sakht aziyat hoti, Neez woh musafiron say bhi zabardasti behayai ka irtikaab karte, Musafiron ko pathar marte aur un ka Saaz-o-Samaan loot lete.

Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ne qoum un tamam qabeeh afaal say roka aur un kay nuqsanaat aur kharabiyun say aagah kiya. Jawab mein Sarkash-o-Baghi qoum ne hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) ko bura bhala kaha aur Azaab-e-Ilahi ka mutalaba kar diya jis ne bil aakhir inhain Safah-e-Hasti say mita diya. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

 

وَلُوْطًا اِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهٖٓ اِنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الْفَاحِشَةَ  ۡ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ اَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ   28؀ اَىِٕنَّكُمْ لَتَاْتُوْنَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُوْنَ السَّبِيْلَ ڏوَتَاْتُوْنَ فِيْ نَادِيْكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ  ۭ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللّٰهِ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ 29؀

 

“Aur Hazrat Lut ka bhi zikr karo jab unhon ne apni qoum say farmaya keh tum to is bad kaari par utar aaye ho jisay tum say pahle dunya bhar mein kisi ne nahi kiya. Kiya tum mardon kay paas (bad faili kay liye) aate ho aur raste band karte ho aur apni aam majlison mein be hayai ka kaam karte ho? Us kay jawab mein us ki qoum ne bajuz is kay aur kuch nahi kaha keh bas agar tu sacha hai to hamare paas Allah ka azaab le aa.” (Al Ankabut: 29/28-29)


Lawatat Kay Muzir-e-Sehat Asraat:


Allah Ta’aala ne apni rahmat say hamare liye har woh cheez Halal aur jaiz rakhi hai jo hamare liye mufeed, Nafa baksh aur hamari Salamati-o-Baqa kay liye zaroori hai. Aur har us cheez ko Haram-o-Mamnoo kar diya hai jo hamari dunya ya aakhirat kay liye nuqsandah hai. Insaan ki fitri khuwahish ki taskeen kay liye Allah Ta’aala ne aurat ko peda farmaya hai aur insaani shahwat ki taskeen kay liye nikah ka muqaddas nizaam insaano ko diya hai taakeh insaano kay jazbaat ko munasib raah mil sake, Nasal-e-Insaani ki baqa ka saman muhayya ho aur muaashray mein Aman-o-Salamati kay sath zindagi guzar sakain.

Dour-e-Jadeed kay naam nihaad “Muhazzab-o-Mutamaddin” mulkon ne is Nizaam-e-Ilahi say baghawat karte howe apne muaashron mein lawatat ko qanoonan jaiz qarar de liya hai. Ham jins parasti ko qanooni hesiyat dene kay baad yeh mamalik kis tarah Azaab-e-Ilahi ka shikar howe hain, Un kay Nizaam-e-Akhlaqiyaat ka janaza kis buri tarah say dorahe mein rakha hai us ka andaza un mamalik kay mukhtasar jaizay say ayan hai.

1: Un mamalik mein khandani Nizaam-e-Hayat khatam ho gaya hai kiyu keh mard mardon say aur auratain auraton say baham Lazzat-e-Aashna hain aur Nasal-e-Insaani tezi say kam ho rahi hai. Un mamalik mein aabadi ki sharah khatarnaak had tak kam ho chuki hai kiyu keh shahwat parast qoumein bachay jan’ne aur un ki Parwarish-o-Tarbiyat par raazi nahi. Isi liye salanah arbon dollar bachay jan’ne waloon ko inaamaat ki shakal mein diye jaa rahe hain. Is kay bawajood salanah lakhon harami bachay gatron, Parkon aur kode dano say murdah mil rahe hain.

2: muhlik amraaz jaise Aids, Aatishak (syphilis venereal disease), Sozaak (gonorrhea), Sailaan (leukorrhea), Kharish, Aala-e-Tanasul ki mukhtalif bemariyan, Aur khatarnaak phouday, phusiyaan aam hain. In amraaz kay eilaj par yeh hukoomatain arbon dollar kharch kar rahi hain. Hazaron haspataal in amraaz kay elaj kay liye mukhtas hain. Darjanon tanzeemein in amraaz say logon ko aagah karne aur ahtiyaati tadabeer ikhtiyaar karne ki targheeb dene par mamoor hain lekin phir bhi un ka haal yeh hai keh “marz badhta gaya jun jun dawa ki”. Yeh dunya ka azaab un par musallat kar diya gaya hai jab keh aakhrat ka azaab aur bhi shadeed hai. Un mamalik kay baraks islaami mamalik jahan islaami Tahzeeb-o-Tamaddun payi jaati hai wahan yeh bemariyaan baraye naam hain. والحمدللہ علی ذلک.


Ham jins parasiton par Azaab-e-Ilahi:


Allah Ta’aala ne Ham jins parasti kay qabeeh jurum ki shikar qoum ko dardnaak azaab chakhaya tha. Phir un kay halaat bayaan kar diye taakeh qayamat aane wali naslain is jurum say bachain aur Qoum-e-Lut kay anjaam say ibrat pakadain. Qoum-e-Lut ko un ki had say badhi howi sarkashi, Nafarmaani aur be hayai par Azaab-e-Ilahi say do chaar hona pada. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’aala hai:

فَلَمَّا جَاۗءَ اَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍ ڏ مَّنْضُوْدٍ           2؀ۙمُّسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ  ۭ وَمَا ھِيَ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بِبَعِيْدٍ         83؀ۧ

 

“Phir jab hamara hukum aa pohncha, Ham ne is basti ko Zair-o-Zabar kar diya aur un par khanghar kay pathar barsaye jo teh bah teh tere Rabb ki taraf say nishan daar thay aur woh (basti un ) zalimon say kuch door nahi.” (Hood: 11/82-83)

 

Mufassireen Kiraam farmate hain keh Hazrat Jibraeel (علیہ السلام ) ne un ko bastiyun samait Aasman tak uthaya aur phir neechay phenk diya jis say un ka Naam-o-Nishan hi mit gaya. Phir dosri ayat mein aaindah is fail shanee kay murtakib hone waloon ko sakht dhamki di gayi hai keh agar woh is fail say baaz nah aaye to un ka anjaam bhi isi tarah dardnaak hoga. Lihaza aaj ki taraqqi yaafta naam nihad mutamaddin qoumein isi jurum ki wajah say tarah tarah kay Azaab-e-Ilahi ka shikaar hain. Jin ka nazarah un haya bakhta aqwaam mein kiya jaa sakta hai.


Islam Mein Lawatat Ki Saza:


islam Deen-e-Fitrat hai. Islam ne apne perokaron ko aik ba haya, Iffat-o-Asmat aur fitrat kay aen mutabiq Nizam-e-Hayat diya hai. Lihaza islam har be hayai say rokta hai aur har ghair fitri fail ko na pasandidigi ki nazar say dekhta hai. Chunkeh lawatat aik sakht qabeeh, Ghair fitri aur na Shaista-o-Behayai ka kaam tha, Is liye islam ne is jurum ki saza bhi shadeed tareen rakhi hai taakeh log is kay qareeb jane say bhi baaz aa jayain aur Fitrat-e-Saleemah kay usoolon kay mutabiq zindagi basar karain. Rahmat-e-Aalam (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne is jurum ki saza batate howe Irshad farmaya:

“Tum jis shaks ko Qoum-e-Lut wala amal karte dekho to fail aur mafool dono ko qatal kar do” (Sunan Abi dawood, Al Hudood Al Hadith: 4462, Jame Tirmizi, Al hudood, Hadith: 1456  )

Qatal ki kefiyat bayan karte howe Aima Ahl-e-Sunnat farmate hain keh is fail kay murtakib shaks ko patharon say rajam kar diya jaye khuwah woh kanwara ho ya shadi shuda. Yeh raye Imam Ahmad, Shaaf’ee aur deegar Aima-e-Kiraam (رحمہاللہ علیھم ) ki hai. Imam Abu Hanifa (رحمہ اللہ) farmate hain keh aese shaks ko pahad ki choti say neechay gira diya jaye aur phir patharon ki barish kar di jaye jaisa keh Lut ( علیہ السلام) ki qoum kay sath kiya gaya tha. اعاذنا اللہ منھا


Mehmaano Ka Ikraam Aur Difa’a:


Hazrat Lut (علیہ السلام ) kay qisay say mehmaan nawazi aur mehmaano ki Izzat-o-Takreem karne ka dars milta hai. Aap kay waqai’ae say mehmaano ko har mumkin tareeqay say aaram pohnchane aur unhain takaleef say bachane ka sabaq milta hai.

Farishtay khoobsoorat nojawano ki shakal mein Hazrat Lut ( علیہ السلام) kay paas tashreef laye to aap ko bad kirdaar qoum ki taraf say khadshaat lahaq ho gaye. Mehmaano ki Izzat-o-Aabroo ki hifazat daman gair howi to sakht pareshani kay aalam mein un ki hifazat kay liye har mumkin waseela ikhtiyaar karte hain. Mehmaano ko bachane kay liye qoum ko apni yaani qoum ki betiyaan nikah kay liye pesh karte hain.

be Haya-o-Badkirdaar qoum say aajiz aa kar khuwahish karte hain:

 

قَالَ لَوْ اَنَّ لِيْ بِكُمْ قُوَّةً اَوْ اٰوِيْٓ اِلٰي رُكْنٍ شَدِيْدٍ   80 ؀

 

“Kash! Keh mujh mein tum say muqabila karne ki quwwat hoti ya mein kisi zabardast ka aasira pakad pata.” (Hood: 11/80)

 

Aap ki is khuwahish mein mehmaano ki Izzat-o-Aabroo ko bachane kay liye ladayi karne kay jazbay ka izhaar hai. Jo hamein dars deta hai keh mehmaan nawazi aur mehmaano ko har muzir shay say mahfooz karna nihayat zaroori hai. Nabi Aakhir-Al-Zaman (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne mehmaano kay azeem haq ko bayan karte howe farmaya:

“Jo shaks Allah aur qayamat par Yaqeen-o-Iman rakhta hai woh mehmaan ki izzat karay.” (Sahih Bukhari: Al Adab, Baab-o-Ikraam-e-Al Zaifi wa Khidmathi Iyyaho Binafsihi…….., Hadith: 6136)

 

Yaani har momin par mehmaan ka ikraam lazim hai. Jo shaks mehmaan ki Izzat-o-Takreem nahi karta us ka iman naqis hai…

Prophet Lot (Lut)

Description of the People of Sodom

Prophet Abraham (PBUH) left Egypt accompanied by his nephew Lut (PBUH), who then went to the city of Sodom (Sadum), which was on the western shore of the Dead Sea.

This city was filled with evil. Its residents waylaid, robbed and killed travelers. Another common evil among them was that men had sex with men instead of with women. This unnatural act later became known as sodomy (after the city of Sodom). It was practiced openly and unashamedly.

Lot’s Message

It was at the height of these crimes and sins that Allah revealed to Prophet Lut (PBUH) that he should summon the people to give up their indecent behavior, but they were so deeply sunk in their immoral habits that they were deaf to Lot’s preaching. Swamped in their unnatural desires, they refused to listen, even when Lot warned them of Allah’s punishment. Instead, they threatened to drive him out of the city if he kept on preaching.

 Allah the Almighty revealed: The people of Lot (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers when their brother Lot said to them: “Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. SO fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism) my reward is only from the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). Go you in unto the males of the Alamin (mankind), and leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay. you are a trespassing people!” They said: “If you cease not, O Lot! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!”

HE said: “I am indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do.” SO We saved him and his family, all except an old woman (this wife) among those who remained behind. (Ch 26:160-171 Quran)

Lot’s Wife

The doings of Lot’s people saddened his heart. Their unwholesome reputation spread throughout the land, while he struggled against them. As the years passed, he persisted in his mission but to no avail No one responded to his call and believed except for the members of his family, and even in his household, not all the members believed. Lot’s wife, like Noah’s wife, a disbeliever. Allah the Almighty declared:

“Allah set forth an example for those who disbelieve, the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were under two of Our righteous slaves, but they both betrayed their husbands, by rejecting their doctrines) so they (Noah & Lut) benefited them (their respective wives) not, against Allah, and it was said: “Enter the Fire along with those who enter!” (Ch 66:10 Quran)

Angels Come to Meet Lot

If home is the place of comfort and rest, then Lut found none, for he was tomented both inside and outside his home. His life was continuous torture and he suffered greatly, but he remained patient and steadfast with his people. The years rolled by, and still not one believed in him. Instead, they belittled his message and mockingly challenged him: “Bring Allah’s Torment upon us if you are one of the truthful!” (Ch 29:29 Quran).

Overwhelmed with despair. Lot prayed to Allah to grant him victory and destroy the corrupt. Therefore, the angels left Abraham (pbuh) and headed for Sodom the town of Lut (pbuh). They reached the walls of the town in the afternoon. The first person who caught sight of them was Lot’s daughter, who was sitting beside the river, filling her jug with water. When she lifted her face and saw them, she was stunned that there could be men of such magnificent beauty on earth.

One of the tree men (angels) asked her: “O maiden, is there a place to rest?”

Remembering the character of her people she replied, “Stay here and do not enter until I inform my father and return.” Leaving her jug by the river, she swiftly ran home.

“O father!” she cried, “You are wanted by young men at the town gate and I have never before seen the like of their faces!”

Lot felt distressed as he quickly ran to his guests. He asked them where they came from and where they were going. They did not answer his questions. Instead they asked if he could host them. He started talking with them and impressed upon them the subject of his people’s nature. Lot was filled with turmoil; he wanted to convince his guests without offending them, not to spend the night there, yet at the same time he wanted to extend to them the expected hospitality normally accorded to guests. In vain he tried to make them understand the perilous situation. At last, therefore, he requested them to wait until the night fell, for then no one would see them.

The Mob at Lot’s House

When darkness fell on the town. Lot escorted his guest to his home. No one was aware of their presence. However, as soon as Lot’s wife saw them, she slipped out of the house quietly so that no one noticed her. Quickly, she ran to her people with the news and it spread to all the inhabitants like wildfire. The people rushed towards Lot quickly and excitedly. Lot was surprised by their discovery of his guests. and he wondered who could have informed them. The matter became clear, however, when he could not find his wife, anywhere, thus adding grief to his sorrow.

When Lot saw the mob approaching his house, he shut the door, but they kept on banging on it. He pleaded with them to leave the visitors alone and fear Allah’s punishment. He urged them to seek sexual fulfillment with their wives, for that is what Allah had made lawful.

Lot’s people waited until he had finished his short sermon, and then they roared with laughter. Blinded by passion, they broke down the door. Lot became very angry, but he stood powerless before these violent people. He was unable to prevent the abuse of his guests, but he firmly stood his ground and continued to plead with the mob.

The Punishment

At that terrible moment, he wished he had the power to push them away from his guests. Secing him in a state of helplessness, and grief the guests said: “Do not be anxious or frightened, Lot for we are angels, and these people will not harm you.” On hearing this, the mob was terrified and fled from Lot’s house, hurling threats at him as they left. The angels wamed Prophet Lut (pbuh) to leave his house before sunrise, taking with him all his family except his wife. Allah had decreed that the city of Sodom should perish. An earthquake rocked the town. IT was as if a mighty power had lifted the entire city and flung it down in one jolt. A storm of stones rained on the city. Everyone and everything was destroyed, including Lot’s wife.

The Angels Meet Abraham

Allah the Almighty recounted this story:

“And tell them about the guests (angels) of Abraham. When they entered unto him, and said: “Salaaman (peace)!” Abraham said: “Indeed! We are afraid of you.”

They (the angels) said: “Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom.” (Abraham) said: “Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?” They (the angels) said. “We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing.”

Abraham said: “And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?” (Abraham again) said: “What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?” They (the angels) said: “We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimeen (criminals, disbeliveers, polytheists, sinners). (All) except the family of Lot. Them all we are surely going to save (from destruction).”

Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of the those who remain behind (she will be destroyed).

Then when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lot, he said: “Verily! You are people unknown to me.” They said: “Nay! we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered.”

And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning.

The inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men’s arrival). Lot said: “Verily! These are my guests, so shame me not. And fear Allah and disgrace me not.” They (people of the city) said: “Did we not forbid you to entertain (or protect) any of the Alamin (people, foreigners strangers etc) from us?” Lot said.”These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters to marry lawfully) if you must act so.”

 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad), in their wild intoxication they were wandering blindly. So As Saliha (torment, awful cry etc) overtook them at the time of sunrise: and We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. Surely! In this are signs for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allah). And verily! They (the cities) are right on the highroad (from Mecca to Syria, ie. the place where the Dead Sea is now). Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. ” (Ch 15:51-77 Quran)

Allah the Exated also declared:

“So we saved him and his family, all, except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. Then afterward We destroyed the others. We rained on them a rain of torment. How evil was the rain of those who had been warned. Verily, in this is indeed a sign yet most of them are not believers. Verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All Mighty, the Most Merciful. (Ch 26:170-175 Quran)

 Lot’s Life after Sodom

The book was closed on the people of Lot (pbuh). Their towns and names have been erased from the face of the earth. Gone are they from memory. One book was closed of the books of corruption. Lot (pbuh) proceeded towards Abraham (pbuh). HE visited him, and when he recounted the story of his people, he was surprised to learn that Abraham (pbuh) already knew. So Lut (pbuh) continued to invite people to Allah, as did Abraham (pbuh), the patient one who turned to Allah repentant ly, and the two held firm to their mission.
