Quran Majeed mein aap ka tazkirah

 

Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) ki qoum woh munfarid qoum hai jis par azaab-e-illahi naazil howa to us ne tawbah kar li.lihaza azaab-e-ilaahi un say door kar diya gaya.Irshad-e- Baari Ta’ala hai:

 

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ اٰمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ اِيْمَانُهَآ اِلَّا قَوْمَ يُوْنُسَ ۭ لَمَّآ اٰمَنُوْا كَشَفْنَا عَنْھُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنٰھُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ    98؀

 

“Phir koi basti aesi kiyu nah howi keh iman laati to usay us ka iman nafa deta, Siwaye Yunus ki qoum kay, Jab woh iman layi to ham ne dunya ki zindagi mein un say zillat ka azaab door kar diya aur aik muddat tak (fawaid dunyawi say) un ko behra mand rakha.”(Yunus: 10/98)

Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) qoum say mayus ho kar ilaaqa chod gaye to Allah Ta’ala ne unhain machli kay pait mein qaid kar diya. Us waqt Yunus (علیہ السلام) ne apni galati ka ai’traaf karte howe nijaat ki iltija ki. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’ala hai:

 

وَذَا النُّوْنِ اِذْ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادٰي فِي الظُّلُمٰتِ اَنْ لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰــنَكَ ڰ اِنِّىْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ  87؀ښفَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ  ۙ وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ  ۭ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُـــــْۨـجِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ 88؀

 

“Aur Zul Noon (machli wale) ko yaad karo jab who (apni qoum say naraaz ho kar) gusay ki halat mein chal diye aur khayal kiya keh ham un par qabu nah paa sakain ge. Aakhir andhaire mein (Allah ko) pukarne lage keh tere siwa koi ma’bood nahi, Tu paak hai (aur) beshak mein qusoor waar hoon. To ham ne un ki dua qubool kar li aur un ko gham say nijaat bakhshi aur iman waloon ko ham isi tarah nijaat diya karte hain.” (Al Anbiya: 21/87-88)

 

Allah Ta’ala ne aap ki pukar ko qubool kiya aur aap ko qaid say nijaat de di. Irshad-e-Rabbani hai:

 

وَاِنَّ يُوْنُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ  ١٣٩؁ۭاِذْ اَبَقَ اِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُوْنِ  ١٤٠؀ۙفَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِيْنَ  ١٤١؀ۚفَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوْتُ وَهُوَ مُلِـيْمٌ   ١٤٢؁فَلَوْلَآ اَنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِيْنَ  ١٤٣؀ۙلَـلَبِثَ فِيْ بَطْنِهٖٓ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُوْنَ  ١٤٤؀ۚفَنَبَذْنٰهُ بِالْعَرَاۗءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيْمٌ  ١٤٥؀ۚوَاَنْۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّنْ يَّقْطِيْنٍ  ١٤٦؀ۚوَاَرْسَلْنٰهُ اِلٰى مِائَةِ اَلْفٍ اَوْ يَزِيْدُوْنَ  ١٤٧؀ۚفَاٰمَنُوْا فَمَتَّعْنٰهُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ  ١٤٨؁ۭ

 

“Aur beshak Yunus bhi paighmbaroon mein say thay jab bhaag kar bhari howi kashti mein ponche. So us waqt qur’a dala gaya to unhon ne zak uthayi. Phir machli ne un ko nigal liya aur woh apne aap ko malamat karne lag gaye. Phir agar who (Allah ki) pakeezgi bayan nah karte to us roz tak usi kay pet mein rehte jab keh log dobara zindah kiye jayain ge. Phir ham ne un ko, Jab keh woh bimar thay, Farakh maidan mein daal diya aur un par kaddu ka darakht ugaya aur un ko aik lakh ya us say zayada (logon) ki taraf (paighambar bana kar) bhaija to woh iman laaye, Lihaza ham bhi un ko (dunya mein) aik waqt (muqararah) tak faide dete rahe.”(Al Saffat: 37/139-148)

 

Aik aur maqaam par farmaya:

 

فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوْتِ ۘ اِذْ نَادٰى وَهُوَ مَكْظُوْمٌ 48؀ۭلَوْلَآ اَنْ تَدٰرَكَهٗ نِعْمَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖ لَنُبِذَ بِالْعَرَاۗءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُوْمٌ  49؀فَاجْتَبٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ فَجَــعَلَهٗ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ   50؀

 

“So aap apne parwardigaar kay intizaar mein sabar kijiye aur machli (ka luqma hone) wale (Yunus) ki tarah nah hona keh unhon ne (Allah ko) pukara aur woh Gham-o-Gusay mein bhare howe thay. Agar tumhare parwardigaar ki meherbaani un ki yaawri nah karti to woh chatiyal maidan mein daal diye jaate aur un ka haal abtar ho jata. Phir parwardigaar ne un ko burgazeedah kar kay nekukaaroon mein kar liya.” (Al Qalam: 68-48-50)


Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) watan chodte hain


Mufassireen bayan farmate hain keh Allah Ta’ala ne Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) ko Mosal kay ilaqay mein Nenwa waloon ki taraf mab’oos farmaya tha. Aap ne unhain Allah ki taraf bulaya. Unhon ne aap ki takzeeb ki aur Kufr-o-Inaad par aday rahe. Jab isi tarah aik taweel muddat guzar gayi to Yunus (علیہ السلام) basti say nikal gaye aur logon ko farma gaye keh teen din kay baad un par azaab aa jaye ga.

Mut’adid Sahaba ( رضی اللہ عنھم)-o-Tab’een (رحمہ اللہ علیھم) say manqool hai keh jab Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) bahir tashreef le gaye to qoum ko yaqeen ho gaya keh ab azaab zaroor naazil hoga. Us waqt Allah Ta’ala ne un kay diloon mein tubah ki taraf tawaja peda farma di. Unhain apne Nabi kay sath badsulooki par nidamat mehsoos howi, Chunancha unhon ne phate purane kapde pehn liye, Janwaroon kay bacho ko un ki maaon say alag kar diya, Phir woh ro ro kar aajzi kay sath Allah say duyain maangne lage. Mard bhi rote thay, Auratain bhi, Bache bhi rote thay aur mayain bhi. Uonth bhi bilbilate thay, Un kay bachay bhi. Gayain bhi raanbhti theen, Bachaday bhi. Bakriyaan bhi minminaati theen aur memne bhi. Yeh buhut riqqat ameez manzar tha. Chunancha Allah Ta’ala ne apni qudrat aur rahmat say un par say woh azaab taal diya jo un kay saroon par mandla raha tha. Isi liye Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya hai: فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ اٰمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ اِيْمَانُهَآ “pas kiyun nah koi basti iman layi keh us ka iman lana us kay liye nafe hota.” (Yunus: 10/98)

Yaani guzashta aqwaam mein koi aesi basti kiyu nah payi gayi jo poori ki poori iman le aati? Maloom howa keh aesa nahi howa. Balkeh aese howa jaise Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya hai: وَمَآ اَرْسَلْنَا فِيْ قَرْيَةٍ مِّنْ نَّذِيْرٍ اِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوْهَآ ۙ اِنَّا بِمَآ اُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوْنَ  34؀  “Aur ham ne kisi basti mein koi darane wala nahi bhaija magar wahan kay khush haal logon ne kaha keh jo cheez tum de kar bhaije gaye ho, Ham us kay qail nahi.” (Saba: 34/34) Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya: فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ اٰمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ اِيْمَانُهَآ اِلَّا قَوْمَ يُوْنُسَ ۭ لَمَّآ اٰمَنُوْا كَشَفْنَا عَنْھُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنٰھُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ        98؀ “Phir koi basti aesi kiyu nah howi keh iman lati to usay us ka iman nafa deta, Siwaye Yunus ki qoum kay, Jab woh iman layi to ham ne ruswayi kay azaab ko dunyawi zindagi mein un par say taal diya aur un ko aik (khas) waqt tak kay liye zindagi say faida uthane ka moqa diya.” (Yunus: 10/98) yaani woh sab kay sab iman le aaye.

Mufassireen ka is bare mein ikhtilaaf hai keh un kay iman say unhain aakhirat mein faida hoga ya nahi? Aur jis tarah dunya kay azaab say choot gaye aakhirat kay azaab say bhi bach jayain ge ya nahi? Quran Majeed kay zahiri alfaz say maloom hota hai keh us iman say unhain aakhirat mein bhi faida hoga. Kiyu keh Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya: لَمَّآ اٰمَنُوْا ۟ “Jab woh iman le aaye.” Aur farmaya: وَاَرْسَلْنٰهُ اِلٰى مِائَةِ اَلْفٍ اَوْ يَزِيْدُوْنَ  ١٤٧؀ۚ فَاٰمَنُوْا فَمَتَّعْنٰهُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ  ١٤٨؁ۭ  “Aur ham ne usay aik laakh ya us say zayadah aadmiyun ki taraf bhaija. Pas woh iman le aaye, Lihaza ham ne unhain aik zamanah tak faide diye.” (Al Saffat: 37/147-148) Is dunyawi faida say yeh laazim nahi aata keh ukhrawi azaab say nijaat haasil nah ho.” (wallahu A’lam)

 

Us qoum ki tadaad aik laakh to yaqeenan thi. Is say zayada kitni tadaad thi? Is kay bare mein ulama kay mukhtalif aqwaal hain.

 

Baharhaal jab Yunus (علیہ السلام) apni qoum ki waja say dil bardashta ho kar rawana ho gaye to samandar mein safar karne kay liye aik kashti mein sawaar howe. Kashti lehroon mein dagmagaane aur hichkole khane lagi aur qareeb tha keh doob jaye, Chunancha musafiroon ne mashware say yeh tay kiya keh qur’a andaazi karain aur jis kay naam ka qur’a nikle usay kashti say samandar mein phenk kar bojh kam karain.


Yunus (علیہ السلام) Machli Kay Pet Mein


Jab unhon ne qur’a dala to qur’a mein Allah kay Nabi Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) ka naam nikla. Log Yunus (علیہ السلام) kay Zuhud-o-Taqwa say waqif thay, Unhon ne aap ko darya mein phenkna pasand nah kiya. Unhon ne dobara qur’a dala to phir aap ka naam nikal aaya aap ne chalaang lagane ka irada kiya to dosre musafiroon ne phir aap ko mana kar diya. Unhon ne teesri baar qur’a dala, Tab bhi aap ka naam nikla kiyu keh Allah Ta’ala ki khas mashiyat yahi thi.

Irshad-e-Baari Ta’ala hai: وَاِنَّ يُوْنُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ  ١٣٩؁ۭ اِذْ اَبَقَ اِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُوْنِ  ١٤٠؀ۙ فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِيْنَ  ١٤١؀ۚ “Aur bilashuba Yunus Nabiyun mein say thay jab woh bhaag kar bhari kashti mein pohnche aur phir qur’a andaazi howi to yeh maghloob hogaye so unhain machli ne nigal liya aur woh khud apne aap ko malaamat karne lag gaye.”

Jab qur’a mein aap ka naam nikla to aap ko samandar mein phenk diya gaya. Allah Ta’ala ne baheera room ki aik badi machli bhaij di, Woh aap ko nigal gayi. Allah Ta’ala ne usay hukum diya keh woh aap ka gosht nah khaye aur hadi nah tode kiyu keh Aap (علیہ السلام) us machli ka rizq nahi thay. Us ne aap ko le kar tamam samandaroon ka chakar lagaya. Baaz ulama ne bayan farmaya hai keh us machli ko us say badi machli ne nigal liya tha.


Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) ki machli kay pet say pukaar:


Jab aap machli kay pet mein pohnch gaye to aap ne socha keh aap fot ho gaye hain lekin aap ne apne aaza ko harkat di to aaza ne harkat ki, Tab aap ko maloom howa keh aap abhi zindah hain, Chunancha Allah kay liye Sajdah mein gir gaye aur farmaya: “Ya Rabb! Mein ne aesi jaga ko tere liye masjid banaya hai, Keh is tarah kay maqaam par kisi ne teri ibadat nahi ki.”

Maqsood kalam yeh hai keh machli aap ko le kar gehre samandaroon mein ghomne lagi. Aap ne machliyun ko Rahman ki tasbeeh karte suna aur kankariyun say Allah ki tasbeeh suni. Is maqaam par aap ne Zuban-e-Haal say aur Zuban-e-Maqaal say farmaya, Jaise Allah Zul Jalaal ne bayan farmaya hai jo posheeda cheezon say baa khabar aur masaib say nijaat dene wala hai. Woh halki say halki aawaz sunta hai aur badi say badi dua qubool karta hai. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’ala hai:

 

وَذَا النُّوْنِ اِذْ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادٰي فِي الظُّلُمٰتِ اَنْ لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰــنَكَ ڰ اِنِّىْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ  87؀ښ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ  ۙ وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ  ۭ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُـــــْۨـجِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ 88؀

 

“Aur machli wale ko yaad karo jab who (apni qoum say naraaz ho kar) gusay ki halat mein chal diye aur khayal kiya keh ham us par qabu nah paa sakain ge. Aakhir andhaire mein (Allah ko) pukarne lage keh tere siwa koi ma’bood nahi, Tu paak hai (aur) beshak mein qusoor waar hoon. To ham ne un ki dua qubool kar li aur un ko gham say nijaat bakhshi aur iman waloon ko ham isi tarah nijaat diya karte hain.” (Al Anbiya: 21/87-88)

فَظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ  “Us ne khayal kiya keh ham us par qabu nahi paa sakain ge.” ka matla yeh hai keh aap ne guman kiya keh Allah aap par tangi (aur sakhti) nahi kare ga. فَنَادٰي فِي الظُّلُمٰتِ  “Bil aakhir woh andhairoon kay andar say pukaar utha.” (Al Anbiya: 87) mein andhairoon say muraad machli kay pet ka andhaira, Samandar ka andhaira aur raat ka andhaira hai. Aik qoul yeh hai keh us machli ko aik aur machli ne nigal liya tha. Is liye do machliyun ka andhaira aur samandar ka andhaira muraad hai. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’ala hai: فَلَوْلَآ اَنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِيْنَ  ١٤٣؀ۙ لَـلَبِثَ فِيْ بَطْنِهٖٓ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُوْنَ  ١٤٤؀ۚ “Phir agar woh Allah ki pakeezgi bayan nah karte to us roz tak usi kay pet mein rehte jab keh logon ko dobara zindah kiya jaye ga.” (Al Saffat: 37/143-144) ka matlab yeh hai keh agar aap wahan Allah ki tasbeeh nah kehte aur Allah kay samne aajzi karte howe tubah nah karte to qayamat tak wahin rehte aur qayamat ko machli kay pet say zindah ho kar nikalte. Dosra matlab yeh bayan kiya gaya hai keh agar woh machli kay pet mein jaane say pehle Allah ki tasbeeh karne wale yaani Allah ki ita’at karne wale, Namaz padne wale aur Zikr-e-Ilahi karne wale nah hote to nijaat nah paate.

Is ki taeed Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (رضی اللہ عنھما) say marwi Hadith say bhi hoti hai keh Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne farmaya: “Ae ladke! Mein tujhe kuch batain sikhaata hoon, Allah ka khayal rakh (usay yaad rakh, Us kay ahkaam ka khayal rakh) Allah tera khayal rakhe ga. Allah ka khayal rakh tu usay apne samne paye ga. Rahat kay waqt Allah kay haan maroof ho yaani us say taluq jod kar rakho, Woh mushkil kay waqt tujhe pehchane ga.” (Musnad-e-Ahmad: 1/293)

Imam Ibn-e-Jareer (رحمہ اللہ) ne tafseer mein Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضی اللہ عنہ) ki riwayat say Hadith bayan ki hai keh Rasoollullah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne farmaya: “Jab Allah Ta’ala ne Yunus (علیہ السلام) ko machli kay pet mein qaid karne ka iradah farmaya to Allah ne machli ko wahi ki: “Isay le lo, Lekin is ka gosht zakhmi nah karna aur hadi nah todna.” Machli ne Yunus (علیہ السلام) ko utha kar samandaroon ka chakar lagaya, Yunus (علیہ السلام) ne samjha keh woh fot ho gaye hain, Phir apna sar hilaya to mehsoos kiya keh woh zindah hain, Phir unhon ne apne Rabb say dua ki. Allah ne dua qubool farmayi aur jab machli samandar ki the tak pohnchi to Yunus ko aik aawaz sunayi di. Aap ne dil mein kaha: “Yeh kiya hai?” Allah Ta’ala ne aap ki taraf wahi ki: “Yeh samandar kay janwaroon ki tasbeeh karne ki aawaz hai.” Machli ko hukum diya to us ne aap ko sahil par laa dala aur jaise Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya: وَهُوَ سَقِيْمٌ  “Woh us waqt bimar thay.” (Tafseer Tabri: 10/107, Tafseer surah Anbiya: 87-88)


Aur Machli Ne Yunus (علیہ السلام) Ko Ugal Diya


Imam Ibn-e-Abi Hatim (رحمہ اللہ) ne apni tafseer mein bayan kiya hai keh “Yunus (علیہ السلام) ko machli kay pet mein in alfaaz kay sath dua karne ka khayal aaya: لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰــنَكَ ڰ اِنِّىْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ “(Ae Allah!) tere siwa koi ma’bood nahi tu paak hai (aur) beshak mein qusoor waar hoon.” Yeh dua arsh kay neechay jaa pohnchi to farishton ne kaha: “Ya Rabb! Aik kamzor si jaani pehchani aawaz kisi ajnabi maqaam say aa rahi hai.” Farmaya: “Tum ne pehchana nahi?” Bole: “Nahi ae Rabb! Woh kon hai?” Farmaya: “Mera banda Yunus.” Farishtoon ne kaha: “Tera banda Yunus, Jis kay maqbool amal aur maqbool duain aasmano par aati rehti hain. Ya Allah! Woh rahat kay ayaam mein neki karta tha, Kiya tu us par reham kar kay musibat say nijaat nahi de ga?” Allah ne farmaya: “Kiyu nahi” Phir machli ko hukum diya to us ne aap ko chatiyal maidan mein phenk diya. (Tafseer Ibn-e-Abi Hatim: 10/3228)

Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya: فَنَبَذْنٰهُ yaani ham ne usay daal diya. بِالْعَرَاۗءِ Banjar maqaam par jis mein koi darakht nah tha. وَهُوَ سَقِيْمٌ  aur aap bimar yaani kamzor thay. Ibn-e- Abbas (رضی اللہ عنھما) ne farmaya: “Woh nozaidah bachay ki tarah thay. وَاَنْۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّنْ يَّقْطِيْنٍ “Ham ne us par aik bel daar darakht uga diya.” Muta’adid Sahaba (رضی اللہ عنھم)-o-Tab’een (رحم اللہ علیھم) bayan karte hain keh “Yeh kadu ki bel thi.” ( Tafseer Tabri: 12/122)

Ulama-e-Kiraam farmate hain keh kaddu ugane mein buhut si hikmatain theen. Us kay pattay intihayi mulaim, Tadaad mein zayadah aur sayya muhya karne wale hote hain. Makkhi us kay qareeb nahi aati. Us ka phal shuru say aakhir tak khaya jata hai. Us kay chilkay aur beej say bhi faida uthaya jata hai. Yeh dimag ko quwwat deta hai aur buhut say fawaid ka haamil hai. Allah Ta’ala kay hukum say aik jangli hirni subuh sham aa kar aap ko dodh pilati thi. Yeh aap par Allah ki rahmat aur us ka ahsaan tha. Isi liye Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya: فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ  ۙ وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ  ۭ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُـــــْۨـجِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ “Phir ham ne un ki dua qubool kar li aur un ko gham say nijaat bakhshi aur iman waloon ko ham isi tarah nijaat diya karte hain.” (Al Anbiya: 21/88) yaani ham say jo koi dua kare aur hamari panah ka talib ho, Ham us kay sath isi tarah ahsaan karte hain.


Nabi (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki Farmoodah Azeem Dua


Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqas (رضی اللہ عنہ) say riwayat hai, Unhon ne farmaya: Mein masjid mein Hazrat Usman (رضی اللہ عنہ) kay paas say guzra aur salam kaha. Aap ne meri taraf dekha lekin salam ka jawab nah diya. Mein Hazrat Umar (رضی اللہ عنہ) ki khidmat mein haazir howa aur kaha: “Kiya Islam mein koi nai cheez peda ho gayi hai.” Unhon ne kaha: “Nahi, Kiya howa?”

Mein ne kaha: “Mein abhi abhi masjid mein Hazrat Usman (رضی اللہ عنہ) kay paas say guzra tha, Mein ne salam kaha, Unhon ne meri taraf dekha, Lekin salam ka jawab nahi diya.” Hazrat Umar (رضی اللہ عنہ) ne Hazrat Usman (رضی اللہ عنہ) ko bula kar farmaya: “Aap ne apne bhai ko salam ka jawab kiyu nahi diya?” Unhon ne kaha: “Mein ne to aesa nahi kiya.” Hazrat Saad (رضی اللہ عنہ) ne farmaya: “Kiya hai.” Unhon ne qasam kha li.” (keh aese nahi howa) unhon ne bhi qasam kha li (keh aese howa hai). Phir Hazrat Usman (رضی اللہ عنہ) ko kuch yaad aaya. farmaya: “Allah mujhe maaf kare! Aap mere paas say guzre thay to mein Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ka aik farman dil mein duhra raha tha. Mujhe jab bhi woh farmaan yaad aata hai, Mere dil aur aankhon par pardah aa jata hai.”

Hazrat Saad (رضی اللہ عنہ) ne farmaya: “Mein aap ko us kay bare mein batata hoon keh Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne hamein pehli baar dua kay bare mein bayan farmana shuru kiya, Phir aik badu aa gaya aur aap us ki taraf mutawaja ho gaye hatta keh Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) (us say baat mukamal kar kay ) uth khade howe (aur ghar ki taraf chal pade) mein bhi aap kay peechay peechay rawana howa hatta keh jab mujhe mehsoos howa keh ab aap (meri taraf mutawajja howe baghair) ghar mein dakhil ho jayain ge to mein ne zameen par paaon mara (aur qadmoon ki aawaz peda ki) Nabi (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) meri taraf mutawajja howe aur farmaya: Kon hai? Abu Ishaq ho? Mein ne kaha: Jee haan! Allah kay Rasool (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)! Farmaya: Kiya baat hai? Mein ne kaha: Qasam hai Allah ki! Aur to koi baat nahi, Lekin aap ne aik dua ka zikr kiya tha. Phir woh badu aa gaya aur aap us kay sath (baat karne mein) mashgool ho gaye. Aap ne farmaya: Haan. Woh Zul Noon (Yunus علیہ السلام) ki dua hai jo aap ne machli kay pet mein maangi thi:

 

لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰــنَكَ ڰ اِنِّىْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ

 

“(Ae Allah!) tere siwa koi ma’bood nahi tu paak hai (aur) beshak mein qusoor waar hoon.”

 

Jo muslamaan kisi bhi mamilay mein apne Rabb say in alfaaz kay sath dua karta hai, Allah us ki dua qubool farmata hai.” (Jami Tirmizi, Al Da’waat, Baab fi Dawat-e- Zil Noon……, Hadith: 3504, Masnad-e-Ahmad: 1/170 wal lafzu lahu)


Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) Kay Fazail-o-Manaqib


Allah Ta’ala ne farmaya: وَاِنَّ يُوْنُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ (Al Saffat: 37/139) “Aur bila shuba Yunus Nabiyun mein say thay.” Allah Ta’ala ne surah Nisa aur surah An’am mein Anbiya-e-Kiraam (علیھم السلام) kay sath aap ka zikr farmaya hai.

Rasoolullah (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ne farmaya keh kisi bande ko yeh nahi kehna chahiye keh mein Yunus bin Matta say behtar hoon.” (Sahih Bukhari, Al Tuheed, Baab-o-Zikr-e-Al Nabi (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)  wa riwayatahu Ann Rabbihi, Hadith: 7539, Masnad-e-Ahmad: 2/468)

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضی اللہ عنہ) say aik muslamaan ka aik yahoodi ko thapad marne ka waqea marwi hai. Yahoodi ne kaha: Qasam hai us zaat ki jis ne Moosa (علیہ السلام) ko jahan waloon par fazeelat di. Muslamaan ko ghussa aaya keh yahoodi isharatan Hazrat Moosa (علیہ السلام) ko Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) say afzal qarar de raha hai. Sahih Bukhari ki riwayat mein is Hadith kay aakhir mein yeh alfaaz hain: “Mein nahi kehta keh koi shaks Yunus bin Matta say afzal hai” is riwayat say mazkoorah bala Hadith (kisi bande ko yeh nahi kehna chahiye keh mein Yunus bin Matta say behtar hoon) kay mafhoom kay bare mein aik qoul ki taeed hoti hai, Yaani kisi ko nahi chahiye keh apne aap ko Yunus (علیہ السلام) say behtar khayal kare.

Dosre qoul kay mutabiq Hadith ka matlab yeh hai keh kisi ko nahi chahiye keh mujhe Yunus bin Matta say afzal qarar de. Jaise keh aik Hadith mein aaya hai: “Mujhe Nabiyun par fazeelat nah do, Nah Yunus bin Matta par fazeelat do.” (Sahih Bukhari, Ahadith-ul-Anbiya, Baab-o-Qoulillahi Ta’ala وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 3415 wal Bidaya wal Nihaya: 1/237)

Aap ka yeh Irshad Kasar-e-Nafsi aur tawazu kay tor par hai. Allah Ta’ala ki taraf say Durood-o-Salam naazil hoon Nabi kareem (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ki zaat aqdas par aur Allah kay tamam Anbiya-e-Kiraam aur Rasooloon par.


Fawaid-O-Nataij………Ibratain-O-Hikmatain


Iman billah aur tubah masaib say nijaat ki kunji hai:

 

Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) kay waqea say hamein yeh dars milta hai keh Allah Ta’ala par iman lana aur us say apne gunaho ki Tubah-o-Bakhshish talab karna, Har qisam kay Masaib-o-Mihan say nijaat ki kunji hai, Lihaza har takleef, Dukh, Pareshani aur musibat mein Gous-e-Azam, Rabb-ul-Aalmeen ko pukarna aur usi say Iltija-o-Girya zaari karni chahiye.

Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) Ahl-e-Iraq kay iman say mayus ho kar, Unhain Azaab-e-Illahi ki dhamki de kar ilaqay say nikle to Allah Ta’ala ki ijazat nah hone ki waja say mushkil ka shikar ho gaye. Allah Ta’ala ne aap ko bila ijazat ilaqa dawat chodne par machlli kay pet mein qaid kar diya. Us waqt jab keh aap machli kay pet kay andhaire, Samandar ki the aur raat ki tareeki mein mubtalaye musibat thay. Aap ne apne parwardigaar ko in alfaaz mein pukara:

 

لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰــنَكَ ڰ اِنِّىْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ

 

“Ilaahi! Tere siwa koi ma’bood nahi, Tu paak hai. Beshak mein zalimon mein ho gaya.” (Al Anbiya: 21/87)

 

Idhar aap ne apni galti ka ai’tiraaf kar kay apne Rabb ko madad kay liye pukara, Udhar Arham-ul-Rahimeen ne apne bande ki girya zaari ko qubool farma kar nijaat ka bandobast farma diya. Irshad hai:

 

فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهٗ  ۙ وَنَجَّيْنٰهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ  ۭ وَكَذٰلِكَ نُـــــْۨـجِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

 

“To ham ne us ki pukar sun li, Aur usay gham say nijaat de di aur ham iman waloon ko isi tarah bacha liya karte hain.”(Al Anbiya: 21/88)

 

Dosri taraf qoum ne Azaab-e-Ilahi ko Hasab-e-Wada aate dekha to saari qoum, Bachoon, Auratoon, Zaeefoon aur maweshiyun samait khule maidan mein jama ho gayi. Sab ne mil kar apne gunaho ki ro ro kar maafi maangi, Khoob girya zaari ki aur apne Rabb say nihayat Ejiz-o-Inksaar ka izhaar kiya. Is par Arham-ul-Rahimeen ne bhi un say azaab ko taal diya. Irshad-e-Baari Ta’ala hai:

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ اٰمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ اِيْمَانُهَآ اِلَّا قَوْمَ يُوْنُسَ ۭ لَمَّآ اٰمَنُوْا كَشَفْنَا عَنْھُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنٰھُمْ اِلٰى حِيْنٍ    98؀

 

“Chunancha koi basti iman nah layi us kay liye nafe hota siwaye Yunus ki qoum kay, Jab woh iman le aaye to ham ne ruswayi kay azaab ko dunyawi zindagi mein un say taal diya aur un ko aik waqt (khas) tak kay liye zindagi say faida uthane (ka moqa ) diya.” (Yunus: 10/98)

Aaj musalmaan bahesiyat aik qoum kay jin masaib, Shadaid, Dukhoon aur kuffaar kay Shikanja-e-Zulm mein aaye howe hain un say nijaat kay liye sab ko mil kar apne iman ki tajdeed karni chahiye. Apne Rabb say Tubah-o-Istighfaar kar kay, Us say apne taluq ko mazboot banana chahiye, Neez Rasool-e-Akram (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) kay darj zail farmaan par sari ummat ko ijtimi tor par amal karna chahiye, Taakeh Allah Ta’ala musalmaano ko, Zillat-o-Ruswayi say nijaat de aur Izzat-o-Sharf say nawaze.

Rasool-e-Akram (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ka Irshad-e-Girami hai jo shaks: لَّآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ سُبْحٰــنَكَ ڰ اِنِّىْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ kay sath apne kisi mamilay (musibat ya dukh say nijaat) kay liye dua maange ga, Allah Ta’ala usay qubool farmaye ga.”


Sabar-o-Azeemat ka dars:


Hazrat Yunus (علیہ السلام) kay qissay say Daiyaan-e-Ilallah ko Sabar-o-Sabaat aur Azam-o-Hoslay ka dars milta hai.

 

Daiyaan-e-Tuheed-o-Risalat ko yeh dars milta hai keh unhain hamesha sabit qadam rehte howe apna mishan jaari rakhna chahiye. Jald baazi aur ujlat say mukammal ijtinaab karna chahiye. Agar waqti tor par log Dawat-e-Tuheed ko qubool nah karain, Iman billah ki taraf raghib nah hoon ya daiyaan kay sath ta’wun aur un ki taeed nah karain to unhain dil bardashta nahi hona chahiye nah unhain Maidan-e-Dawat say farar ka sochna chahiye, Balkeh us mishan kay liye har qisam ki takleef ko Bais-e-Ajar samjhte howe qubool karna chahiye. Allah Rabb-ul-Izzat apne piyare Nabi Hazrat Mohammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) ko tasalli dete howe farmate hain:

 

فَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ اُولُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَّهُمْ

 

“Pass (ae paighambar) tum aesa sabar karo jaisa aali himmat Rasooloon ne kiya aur un kay liye (azaab talab karne mein) jaldi nah karo.” (Al Ahqaf: 46/35)

 

Yaani aap Ahl-e-Makkah ki takaleef ko khunda peshani say bardasht karain aur un kay liye Azaab-e-Ilahi ka sawal nah karain. Is mein Ahl-e-Iman aur daiyaan kay liye Sabar-o-Tahammul aur Himmat-o-Bardasht ka dars hai keh woh bhi Maidan-e-Dawat mein isi Uswa-e-Hasna say rahnumayi lain.

Prophet Yunus (Jonah)

 

Description of Jonah’s People

 

Prophet Jonah (Yunus) (pbuh) also known as Dhan-Nun. About his people Almighty Allah said:

“Was there any town community that believed after seeing the punishmen, and its Faith at that moment, saved it from the punishment? (the answer is none)–except the people of Jonah; when they believed, We removed from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the present world, and permitted them to enjoy for a while. (Ch 10:98 Quran)

The inhabitants of the town of Nineveh were idolaters who lived a shameless life. Prophet Jonah (pbuh) was sent to teach them the worship of Allah. The people disliked his interference in their way of worship, so they argued. “We and our forefathers have worshipped these gods for many years and no harm has come to us.”

Jonah Leaves His People

Try as he might to convince them of the foolishness of idolatry and of the goodness of Allah s laws, the ignored him. He warned them that if they kept on with their foolishness, Allah’s  punishment would soon follow. Instead of fearing Allah, they told Jonah that they were not afraid of his threats. “Let it happen,” they told him. Jonah was disheartened. “in that case, I will leave you to your misery!” so saying, he left Nineveh, fearing that Allah’s anger would soon follow.

 “Remember Dhan Nun (Jorah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall no punish him (the calamities which had befallen him)! (ch 21:87)

The People are Forgiven

Hardly had he left the city when the skies began to change color and looked as if they were on fire. The people were filled with fear by this sight. They recalled the destruction of the people of ‘Ad, Thamud and Noah. Was theirs to be a similar fate? Slowly faith penetrated their hearts. They all gathered on the mountain and started to beseech Allah for His mercy and forgiveness. The mountains echoed with their cries. It was a momentous heur, filled with sincere repentance. Alah removed His wrath and showered His blessings upon them once again. When the threatening storm was lifted, they prayed for the return of Jonah so that he could guide them.

The Storm at Sea

 Meanwhile, Jonah had boarded a small ship in the company of other passengers. It sailed all day in calm waters with a good wind blowing at the sails. When night came, the sea suddenly changed. A horrible storm blew as if it were going to split the ship into pieces. The waves looked wild. They rose up as high as mountains then plunged down like valleys, tossing the ship and sweeping over the deck.

Behind the ship, a large whale was splitting the water and opening its mouth. A command had been issued from Almighty Allah to one of the greatest whales of the sea to surface. It obeyed. The whale hurried to the surface of the sea and followed the ship as it had been commanded. The tempest continued and the chief crewman asked the crew to lighten the ship’s heavy load. They threw their baggage overboard, but this was not enough. Their safety lay in reducing the weight further, so they decided among themselves to lighten their load by removing at least one person.

Jonah Jumps into the Sea

The captain directed: We will make lots with all of the travelers’ names. The one whose name is drawn will be thrown into the sea.” Jonah knew this was one of the seamen’s traditions when facing a tempest. It was a strange polytheistic tradition, but it was practiced at that time. Jonah’s affliction and crisis began.

Here was the prophet, subjected to polytheistic rules that considered the sea and the wind to have gods that riot. The captain had to please these gods. Jonah reluctantly participated in the lot, and his name was added to the other travelers’ names. The lot was drawn and “Jonah” appeared.

Since they knew him to be the most honorable among them, they did not wish to throw him inte the angry sea. Therefore, they decided to draw a second lot. Again Jonah’s name was drawn. They gave him a final chance and drew a third lot. Unfortunately for Jonah, his name came up again.

 Jonah realized that Allah’s hand was in all this, for he had abandoned his mission without Allah’s consent. The matter was over, and it was decided that Jonah should throw himself into the water. Jonah stood at the edge of the ship looking at the furious sea. It was night and there was no moon. The stars were hidden behind a black fog. But before he could be thrown overboard, Jonah kept mentioning Allah’s name as he jumped into the raging sea and disappeared beneath the huge waves.

The Whale Swallows Jonah

The whale found Jonah floating on the waves before it. It swallowed Jonah into its furious stomach and shut its ivory teeth on him as if they were white bolts locking the door of his prison. The whale dived to the bottom of the sea, the sea that runs in the abyss of darkness.

 Three layers of darkness enveloped him, one above the other, the darkness of the whale’s stomach, the darkness of the bottom of the sea, the darkness of the night. Jonah imaged himself to be dead, but his senses became alert when he found he could move. He knew that he was alive and imprisoned in the midst of three layers of darkness. His heart was moved by remembering Allah. His tongue released soon after saying:

La ilaha illa Anta (none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) be You (above all that evil they associate with You), Truly, I have been of the wrong doers.” (Ch 21:87 Quran)

Jonah continued praying to Allah, repeating this invocation. Fishes, whales, seaweeds, and all the creatures that lived in the sea heard the voice of Jonah praying, heard the celebration of Allah’s praises issuing from the whale’s stomach. All these creatures gathered around the whale and began to celebrate the praises of Allah in their turn, each in its own way and in its own language.

The whale also participated in celebrating the praises of Allah and understood that it had swallowed a prophet. Therefore it felt afraid; however, it said to itself, “Why should I be afraid? Allah commanded me to swallow him.”

Allah Forgives Jonah

Allah Almighty saw the sincere repentance of Jonah and heard his invocation in the whale’s stomach. Allah commanded the whale to surface and eject Jonah onto an island. The whale obeyed and swam to the farthest side of the ocean. Allah commanded it to rise towards the warm, refreshing sun and the pleasant earth.

The whale ejected Jonah onto a remote island. His body was inflamed because of the acids inside the whale’s stomach. He was ill, and when the sun rose, its ray burned his inflamed body so that he was on the verge of screaming for the pain. However, he endured the pain and continued to repeat his invocation to Allah.

Almighty Allah caused a vine to grow to considerable length over him for protection. Then Allah Exalted caused Jonah to recover and forgave him. Allah told Jonah that if it had not been for his praying to Him, he would have stayed in the whale’s stomach till the Day of Judgment.

Summary of Jonah’s Story

Almighty Allah recounted:

“And, verily, Jonah was one of the Messengers. When he ran to the laden ship, he agreed to cast lots and he was among the losers. Then a big fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, he would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick and We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. And We sent him to a hundred thousand people or even more, and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. (Ch 37:139-148 Quran).

Jonah’s People – Changed

Gradually he regained his strength and found his way to his hometown, Nineveh. He was pleasantly surprised to notice the change that had taken place there. The entire population turned out to welcome him. They informed him that they had turned to believe in Allah. Together they led a prayer of thanksgiving to their Merciful Lord.

Prophet Muhammad’s Saying About Jonah (PBUT)

Ibn Abbas narrated: “The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: ‘One should not say I am better than Jonah Ibn Matta.” (Sahih Bukhari).
