31. HAZRAT DAWUD ( علیہ السلام ) [Prophet David]
Hazrat Dawood
Naam-o-Nasab Aur Huliya Mubarak
Ap ka nasab nama is tarah hai: Dawood Bin Eisha Bin Uwaid Bin Aabir Bin Salmoon Bin Nakhshoon Bin Ameenazab Bin Erum Bin Hasroon Bin Faris Bin Yahooda Bin Ya’aqoob Bin Is’haq Bin Ibrahim علیہم السلام .
Wahab Bin Munabbah رحمہ اللہ se riwaayat hai keh Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ka qad chota tha, Aankhen neeli thien, Baal kam thay aur dil pakiza tha. Jab Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ne Jaloot ko qatal kiya to Ap ko Bani Israil mein izzat aur har dil azizi hasil ho gai. Aakhir kaar Ap ko badshah bana diya gaya. Allah T’aala ne Ap ko nubuwwat bhi ata farmai. Is tarah Nubuwwat aur hukooat aik hi farad mein jama’a ho gaien. Is se pehle badshah aur qabeele se hota tha aur Nabi ksi aur qabeele se. Allah T’aala ne farmaya:
“Aur Dawood ke hathon Jaloot qatal huwa aur Allah T’aala ne Dawood ko Mamlikat-o-Hikmat aur jitna kuch chaha ilm bhi ata farmaya. Agar Allah T’aala ba’az logon ko ba’az se daf’aa na karta to zameen mein fasaad phel jata lekin Allah T’aala duniya walon par bada Fazal-o-Karam karne wala hai.” (Al-Baqarah: 2/251)
Ibn-e-Jareer رحمہ اللہ kehte hein keh jab Jaloot ne Taloot ko doo ba’doo jang ki da’awat di to kaha: “Ya tum meri taraf aao ya mein tumhari taraf aata hon.” Taloot ne foaj se kaha: “Is ka challenge kon qabool kare ga?” Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام samne aaye aur muqabila kar ke Jaloot ko qatal kar diya.” (Tafseer Al-Tabri: 2/844, Tafseer Soorat-ul-Baqarah, Aayat: 251)
Wahab Bin Munabbah رحمہ اللہ ne farmaya: Logon ne Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ki bahaduri se mutassir ho kar Taloot ko ma’azool kar diya aur Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ko badshah bana liya. Ba’az kehte hein keh yeh sab Shamweel علیہ السلام ke hukam se hua. Jabkeh ba’az ka khayal hai keh unhein jang se pehle hi muqarrar kar diya gaya tha.
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلم Par In’aamaat-e-Rabbani
Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ko bahut si ne’amaton se mala maal farmaya tha jis mein Husan-e-Soat aur Husan-e-Ibaadat ke sath sath parindon aur pahadon ki taskheer bhi shamil hai. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
Aye pahado! In ke sath tasbeeh karo aur parindon ko ( un ke irad girad jama’a kar diya) aur un ke liye ham ne lohe ko naram kar diya keh kushadah zirhein banao aur kadiyon ko andaze se jodo aur naik amal karo jo amal tum karte ho mein un ko dekhne wala hon.” (Saba: 34/10-11)
Doosare muqam par farmaya:
“Ham ne pahadon ko Dawood ke liye musakkhar kar diya keh un ke sath tasbeeh bayan karte thay aur parindon ko bhi (tabe’a kar diya tha) aur ham hi (aisa) karne wale thay aur ham ne tumhare liye un ko aik (tarah ka) libas banana bhi sikha diya takeh tum ko ladai (ke zarar) se bachaye, Pas tumhein shukar guzaar hona chahiye.” (Al-Anbiya’a: 21/79-80)
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ke hath mein loha naram ho jata tha. Unhein yeh wasaf moajiza ke tor par ata kiya gaya tha. Yeh bhi mumkin hai keh Allah T’aala ne Ap ko loha naram karne ka hunar sikha diya ho, Takeh us se zirhen bana kar jang mein pehni jaein aur dushman ke hamle se difa’a ho sake.
Qatada رحمہ اللہ farmate hein keh Allah T’aala ne Ap ke liye loha naram kar diya tha, Ya’ani Ap ko lohe ki cheezen banane ke liye aag ya hathode ki zaroorat nahin hoti thi. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Buyoo’, Baab-o-Kasb-e-Al Rajuli wa Amalihi biyadihi, Hadees: 2073.)
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
“Aur hmare bande Dawood ko yad karo jo Sahib-e-Quwwat thay (aur) beshak woh rujoo’ karne wale thay. Ham ne pahadon ko un ke Zer-e-Farmaan kar diya tha keh Subah-o-Sham un ke sath (Allah pak ka) zikar karte thay aur parindon ko bhi keh woh jama’a rehte thay, Sab un ke farmanbardaar thay aur ham ne un ki badshahi ko mustahkam kiya aur un ko hikmat ata ki aur (jhagde ki) bat ka fesala (sikhaya).” (Saad: 38/17-20)
Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما aur Mujahid رحمہ اللہ farmate hein keh “Quwwat” se murad ibaadat ki taaqat aur naik kaam anjam dene ki quwwat hai. Hazrat Qatadah رحمہ اللہ bayan karte hein keh unhein ibaadat ki quwwat aur deen ki samajh mili thi.
Aap aadhi raat aaram karte thay, Tihaai raat qiyam karte thay aur raat ka chatta hissa (phir) so jate thay aur Aap aik din roza rakhte thay aur aik din na rakhte aur jab dushman se samna hota to bhag nahin jate thay ( bahaduri se jihad karte thay.”) (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Tahjjud, Baab-o-Man Naama Inda-al-Sahri……., Hadees: 1311, Wa Sahih Muslim, Al-Siyam, Baab-ul-Nahi Ann Saom-e-Al Dahri……, Hadees: 1159)
Allah T’aala ne farmaya:اِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا الْجِبَالَ مَعَهٗ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْاِشْرَاقِ ” Aur ham ne pahadon ko un ke tabe’ kar rakha tha keh us ke sath subah ko aur sham ko tasbih khawani karen.” Allah T’aala ne Ap ko be misal umdah aawaz ata farmai thi. Jab Ap tarannum ke sath Zaboor ki tilawat karte to udte huaye parinde ruk kar Ap ki naghmagi aur tasbih khawani ka sath dete. Is tarah subah sham tasbih khawani ke waqat pahadon ki goonj bhi Ap ka sath deti thi.
Imam Uozaai رحمہ اللہ farmate hein keh Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ko itni piyari aawaz di gai thi keh jangli janwar aur parinde Ap ki tilawat sun kar Ap ke girad jama’a ho jate.
Is Husan-e-Soat ke sath sath Ap ko yeh khasiyat hasil thi keh bahut tezi se tilawat kar sakte thay. Aap ghode par kathi dalne ka hukam dete aur ghoda tayyar hone se pehle Quraan (Zaboor) padh lete aur Aap siraf apne hath ki kamaai khate thay.”( Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Tafseer, Baab-o-Qaolihi واتینا داود زبورا Hadees: 4713.)
Yeh tilawat tadabbur aur khusoo’ ke sath hoti thi. (Al-Nisaa: 4/163, Bani Israil:n17/55) Zaboor Mah-e-Ramzan mein nazil hui thi. Us mein wa’az aur hikmat ki baten thien.
Moamila Fahmi Aur Quwwat-e-Faisla
Allah T’aala ne frmaya: وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهٗ وَاٰتَيْنٰهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ ” Ham ne us ki saltanat ko mazboot kar diya tha aur usay hikmat di thi aur bat ka fesla karna (sikhaya tha).” (Saad: 20)
Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas رضی اللہ عنہ se riwaayat hai keh do aadmi apna muqadma le kar Dawood علیہ السلام ke pas aaye. Jab rat hui to Allah ki taraf se Wahi nazil hui keh mud’ai ko qatal kar diya jaye. subah hui to Dawood علیہ السلام ne mud’ai se kaha: “Allah T’aala ne meri taraf Wahi ki hai keh mein tujhe qatal kar don, Is liye mein tujhe zaroor qatal karon ga. Ab sach sach bata do keh haqiqat kaya hai?” Us ne kaha: “Allah ke Nabi! Mein apne da’awe mein bilkul sacha hon. Lekin mein ne is ke bap ko qatal kiya tha.” Us shakhas ko Dawood علیہ السلام ne Saza-e-Moat ka hukam sunaya. Is waqia se Bani Israil ki nazar mein Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ka maqam bahut buland ho gaya aur unhon ne bahut achi tarah Aap ki ita’at qabool ki. Isi liye Allah T’aala ne farmaya hai: وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهٗ وَاٰتَيْنٰهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ “Aur ham ne us ki saltanat ko mazboot kar diya tha aur usay hikmat (nubuwwat) di thi. Aur bat ka fesla karna (sikhaya tha).” Hadees-e-Nabwi hai: “Gawah paish karna mud’ai ki zimadari hai aur inkar karne wale (mud’aa alaih) ke zimme qasam khana hai. Hazrat Muahid aur Sudi علیہم السلام farmate hein: Bat ka fesla karne se murad muqadma ko samajh kar sahih fesla karne ki taufeeq hai. (Tafseer Al-Tabri: 2/165-170. Tafseer Soorah Saad, Aayat: 20’21.)
Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
“Bhala tumhare pas un jhagadne walon ki bhi khabar aai hai jab woh deewaar phand kar ibaadat khane mein dakhil huaye. Jis waqat woh Dawood ke pas aaye to woh un se gabhra gaye, So unhon ne kaha keh khauf na kijiye, Ham donon ka aik muqadma hai keh ham mein se aik ne dosare par ziyadati ki hai to Aap ham mein insaf ke sath fesla kar diiye aur be-insafi na kijiye ga aur ham ko sidha raasta dikha dijiye. (Kefiyat yeh hai keh) yeh mera bhai hai. Is ke (han) ninaanwe dunbiyan hein aur mere (pas aik) dunbi hai. Woh kehta hai keh yeh bhi mere hawale kar de aur woh guftagu mein mujh par zabardasti karta hai. Unhon ne kaha keh yeh jo teri dunbi mangta hai keh apni dunbiyon mein mila le, Beshak tujh par zulam karta hai aur aksar shareek aik doosre par ziyadti hi kiya karte hein. Han jo log iman laaye aur naik amal karte rahe aur aise lg bahut kam hein. Aur Dawood ne khayal kya keh (is waqaye se) ham ne un ko aazmaya hai to unhon ne apne Parwardigaar se maghfirat mangi aur jhuk kar gir pade aur (Allah k taraf) rajoo’ kiya to ham ne un ko bakhash diya aur beshak un ke liye hamare han qurab aur umdah maqam hai.” (Saad: 38/21-25)
“Aye Dawood! Hamne tum ko zameen mein badshah banaya hai, Lihaza logon mein insaf ke sath fesale kiya karo aur (apni) khawhish ke perwi na karo keh woh tumhein Allah ke raste se bhatka de gi. Jo log Allah ke raste se bhatkate hein un ke liye sakhat azab (tayyar) hai keh unhon ne hisab ke dinko bhula diya.” (Saad: 38/26)
Is aayat mein Dawood علیہ السلام ko mukhatab kiya gaya hai lekin asal maqsood tamam hukamranon aur afsaron ko hukam dena hai keh woh insaf karen. Is mein is ke bar-akas amal karne wale be isaf hukamranon ke liye tanbeeh hai. Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام apne daur mein insaf, Kasrat-e-Ibaadat aur tamam nekiyon ki anjam dahi ka aik Laiq-e-Ittiba’a namoona thay. Us ke shukar ke tor par naik amal karo. Mere bandon mein se shukar guzaar bande kam hi hote hein.” (Saba: 34/13)
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام Ki Umar Aur Wafaat
Hazrat Aadam علیہ السلام ki takhleeq ke zikar mein yeh waqia bayan huwa hai keh Allah T’aala ne jab Aap ki pusht se Aap ki aulad nikali to Aap ko un mein aik shakhas bahut roshan chehre wala nazar aaya. Farmaya: “Ya Rab! Yeh kon hai?” Allah T’aala ne farmaya: “Yeh tera beta Dawood hai.” Araz ki: “Ya Rab! Is ki umar kitni hai?” Irshad huwa: “Sath saal.” Araz ki: “Ya Rab! Is ki umar mein izafa farma de !” Irshad huwa: “Nahin! Albatah teri umar mein se (kam kar ke is ki umar mein) izafa kar sakta hon.”
Hazrat Aadam علیہ السلام ki muqar’rah (umar) hazaar saal thi. Jab Hazrat Aadam علیہ السلام ki umar poore (no so saath saal) ho gai to Malak-ul-Moat tashreef le aaye. Hazrat Aadam علیہ السلام ne farmaya: “Meri umar ke chalees saal baqi hein!” Chunancheh Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Aadam علیہ السلام ki umar bhi poore hazaar saal kar di aur Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ki umar bhi pore so saal kar di.” (Munad-e-Ahmed: 1/252, Wa Jame’ Al-Tirmizi, Tafseer Al-Quraan, Baab-o-Wamin Sorat-e-Al Aaraf, Hadees: 3076)
Imam Ibn-e-Jareer رحمہ اللہ farmate hein: Ahal-e-Kitab ka kehna hai keh Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ki umar satatar saal thi lekin yeh ghalat hai. Isi tarah woh yeh bhi kehte hein keh Aap ne chalees saal hukoomat ki. Yeh bat sahih ho sakti hai kiyoun keh Quraan-o-Hadees se is ki tasdeeq ya takzeeb nahin hoti.
Aap jab bahir tashreef le jate to darwaze band kar jate. Aap ki gher mojoodagi mein koi shakhas Aap ke ghar dakhil nahin hota tha. Aik din Aap bahir tashreef le gaye aur Hasab-e-Mamool darwaza band kar gaye. Achanak Aap ki Zaoja-e-Mohtarma ne dekha keh aik aadami ghar ke darmiyan khada hai. Unhon ne ghar ke doosare afraad se kaha: Yeh marad kahan se dakhil ho gaya jabkeh ghar ke darwaze band thay? Allah ki qasam! Hamein to Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ke samne sharminda hona pade ga. Itne mein Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام bhi tashreef le aaye. Dekha keh aadami ghar k darmiyan khada hai. Aap ne us se kaha: “Tu kon hai?” Us ne kaha: ” Mein woh hon jo badshahon se nahin darta aur darbanon se nahin rukta.” Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ne kaha: “Tab to Aap moat ke farishte hein. Mein Allah ke hukam ko khush aamdeed kehta hon.” Phir Aap ki rooh qabaz kar li gai aur Aap ko ghusal diya gaya aur kafan pehnaya gaya. Jab log ghusal aur kafan se farigh huaye to dhoop nikal aai. Hazrat Suleman علیہ السلام ne parindon se kaha: “Dawood علیہ السلام par saaya karo!” Rasoolullah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne parindon ki kefiyat samjhane ke liye aik bazu samet kar irshd farmaya. ( Musnad-e-Ahmed: 2/419, Wa Isnadah munqitiun)
Nataaij-o-Fawaaid ………… Ibraten-o-Hikmaten
Adal-o-Insaf Par Mabni Badshahat Ka Jawaz :
Hazrat Shamweel علیہ السلام ke waqia se yeh haqiqatayan hoti hai keh Adal-o-Insaf aur awami falah ki zamin badshahat na siraf jaaiz hai balkeh Mhmood-o-Matloob bhi hai. Neez aadil hukamran, Ahkam-e-Ilahi ka paband badshah musalmanonki sarbrahi ka ahal hai. Aur aisi hukamrani mein koi haraj aur qabaahat nahin hai kiyoun keh agar badshahat fi nafsihi buri cheez hoti to Allah T’aala Apne kisi Nabi ko badshah na banata. Allah T’aala ne Hazrat Dawood aur Suleman علیہما السلام ko nubuwwat aur bashahat se ba’yak waqat sarfaraz farmaya hai aur unhein Ne’amat-e-Nubuwwat ke sath aisi shandar badshahat ata farmai jo kisi aur Nabi ke hisse mein nahin aai. Allah T’aala ne Bani Israil ke mut’adid Anbiya’a ko is ne’amat se nawaza tha, Lihaza un par is khusoosi in’aam ka tazkirah karte huaye irshad farmaya:
وَاِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِقَوْمِهٖ يٰقَوْمِ اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ جَعَلَ فِيْكُمْ اَنْۢبِيَاۗءَ وَجَعَلَكُمْ مُّلُوْكًا
“Aur yad karo jab Moosa ne api qoam se kaha: Aye meri qoam ke logo! Allah T’aala ke us ahsan ka zikar karo keh us ne tum mein se paighembar banaye aur tumhein badshah bana diya.” (Al-Maaida: 5/20)
Neez is waqiye se yeh bhi m’aloom hota hai keh sarbarahi aur hukamrani ke liye a’ala Hasab-o-Nasab ka hamil hona sharat nahin balkeh Qiyadat-o-Siyadat ke liye Aqal-o-Danish mandi, hikmat aur jismani Quwwat-o-Taqat ki zaroorat zayada aham hai. Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلا Ap ki foaj ke sheh zor foaji thay.
Is waqaye mein Daur-e-Jadeed ke naam nihad muslim danishwaron aur siyasat danon ke liye Daras-e-Ibrat hai jin ke dimaghon par maghribi jamhooriyat ka bhoot sawar hai. Yeh log maghribi ist’imaar ki shatirana chalon ke Dasat-o-Bazu bane huaye hein aur aise islam mumalik par Ta’an-o-Tashnee’a karte hein jahan bashahat qaaim hai, Halankeh woh islami mumalik apne Nizam-e-Adal-o-Insaf aur falahi karnamon ki badolat apne awam ke liye Ne’amat-e-Rabbani bane huaye hein. Un mumalik ke Aman-o-Amaan aur awami salamti ka mawazana in maghribi jamhoori mumalik se karen to Nizam-e-Badshahat ki hazaar haa khoobiyan maghribi jamhooriyat aur is ke dil dadah hukamranon par apna jadu kari dikhai den gi.
Sad afsos! Aj ke musalman siyasat daan aur danishwar hi is maghribi haseena ki zulaf ke aseer nahin balkeh Sahib-e-Jubbah-o-Dastaar aur aur ba’az Ulama-e-Kiraam bhi isi roo siyah nizam ke haq mein apni tawanaiyan saraf kar rahe hein. Agar maghribi Zalim-o-Jabir hukamran lakhon karodon doller kharach kar ke in islami mumalik ke aadilana Nizam-e-Hukoomat ko khatam karne ke liye koshan hein to musalman siyasatdanon ke sath mil kar Ashaab-e-Jubbah-o-Dastaar bhi un ke Himayati-o-Madad gaar bane huaye hein!!! Halankeh Adal-o-Insaf, awami Falah-o-Bahbood aur Aman-o-Salamati ko yaqini banane wala Nizam-e-Hukoomat khawah woh malookiyat ho ya shakhsi hukamrani ka nizam, Jamhooriyat se lakhon darje behtar hai.
Jangi Ta’aleem-O-Tarbiyat:
Hazrat Shamweel علیہ السلام ke qisse se jangi Taleem-o-Tarbiyat aur Maharat-o-Tayyari ka daras milta hai. Madi Wasaail-o-Zara’e aur Aalat-e-Harab ke sath sath fojiyon ki jismani aur roohani tarbiyat bhi bahut zaroori hai. Kiyoun keh foaji jis qadar a’ala jismani aur roohani tarbiyat ke hamil hon gay usi qadar behtar nataaij bar’aamad hon gay.
Is mein unhein Sabar-o-Tahammul, Quwat-e-Bardashat aur Ita’at-e-Ameer ka khoogar banane ki tarbiyat di gai hai. Dar’asal Lashkar-e-Islam ko yeh hukam is liye diya gaya keh khare aur khote ki pehchan ho jaye. Neez yeh jangi hikmat bhi is hukam mein pinhan thi keh islami foaj dushman par achanak aur zor daar hamla kare. Agar woh ser ho kar pani peene lag jate aur janwaron ko bhi ji bhar kar peene ke liye chod dete to yeh khatrah tha keh dushman un ki aamad ka pata chala kar musta’id ho jata ya un ki pohanch se door nikal jata. Yeh bhi khadsha tha keh islami foaj sakhat piyas ke ba’ad ji bhar kar pani piye gi to un par susti aur kasal mandi ghalib aa jaye gi jo keh Maidan-e-Jang mein nihayat muzir hai, Lihaza aj bhi kamiyab jernail apni foajon ko jadeed asliha se laes karne ke sath sath un ki jismani aur roohani tarbiyat ka khusoosi ahtimam karte hein. Neez achanak hamle ki tadbeer mojooda daur ke jangi pilan ka aham tareen juzaw ban chuki hai.
Sabar-o-Subaat Aur Ita’at-e-Ameer Kamiyabi Ki Zamanat:
Is qisse se hamein Sabar-o-Subaat aur Ita’at-e-Ameer ka daras milta hai. Ita’at-e-Ameer har hal mein zaroori hai, Ta’ham Maidan-e-Jang mein is ki Ahmiyat-o-Zaroorat do chand ho jati hai.
“Jo log samajhte thay keh woh Allah se milne wale hein, Bole: Basa uqaat choti si jama’at bhi badi aur bahut si jama’aton par bhi Allah ke hukam se ghalba pa leti hai. Allah T’aala sabar karne walon ke sath hai.” (Al-Baqarah: 2/249)
Lihaza unhon ne is izhar ke ba’ad keh kamiyabi Kasrat-e-T’adaad aur asliha ki farawani par munhasir nahin balkeh Allah T’aala ki mashiyat aur us ki Madad-o-Himaayat par munhasir hai, Apne Rab se yoon dua ki:
قَالُوْا رَبَّنَآ اَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَّثَبِّتْ اَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَي الْقَوْمِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ٢٥٠ۭ
“Aye hamare Rab! Hamein sabar de, Sabit qadmi de aur Qoam-e-Kuffaar par hamari madad farma.” (Al-Baqarah: 2/250)
Chunancheh woh qaleel hone ke bawjood Kamiyab-o-Kamran huaye. Isi tarah Jang-e-Badar mein musalmanon ne Sabar-o-Subaat aur Ita’at-e-Ameer ki a’ala misal paish karte huaye apne Rab ki Nusrat-o-Himayat se, Qaleel ta’adad aur be Saro-o-Samani ke bawjood, Fatah paai jabkeh Kasrat-e-Ta’adad aur asliha ki farawani ke bawjood Jang-e-Hunain mein ibtida mein shikasat ka samna karna pada kiyoun keh Sabar-o-Subaat aut Ita’at-e-Ameer ke jazbe mein laghzish paai gai. Lihaza musalman jernelon ko jadeed asliha ki farawani ke sath sath in do buniyadi khusoosiyaat ki tarbiyat ka bhe ahtimaam karna chahiye.
Shuja’at-o-Bahaduri Ka Daras:
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ke qisse se Ahal-e-Iman ko Shuja’at-o-Bahaduri ka daras milta hai. Maidan-e-Jang mein Ruasa-e-Kuffaar ki lalkaar par Bahadur-o-Shuja’a musalmanon ka mubarazat ke liye maidan mein koodna hamesha se msalman sher dil jawanon ka mahboob mashghala raha hai. Hazrat Taloot apni foaj ko le ja kar Jaloot ke samne saf aara’a huaye to woh nihaayat Takabbur-o-Ghuroor ke sath samne aaya aur musalmanon ko mubazarat ke liye pukarne laga. Us ne yeh challange bhi kiya keh agar woh maghloob ho gaya to woh aur us ki qoam musalmanon ki ghulam ho jaye gi aur agar woh kamiyab thera to musalman us ke ghulam ban jaein.
Is lalkaar par Ghayyoor-o-Shuja’a Hazrart Dawood علیہ السلام us ke muqabile mein aage tashreef laaye aut taak kar aik pathar us ki peshani par mara jis se woh zameen bos ho gaya. Dushman kaseer ta’adad min qatal huyae aur baqi zakhmi haalat mein qaidi bane.
Zalimon Ke Bare Mein Sunnatullah:
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ke qisse se Sunnat-e-Ilahi ka pata chalta hai keh Allah T’aala ne Ahal-e-Duniya par khusoosi Fazal-o-Karam karte huaye yeh qanoon banaya haik keh Woh duniya mein kisi ko daaimi Iqtidar-o-Hukamrani se nahin nawazta. Agar aisa hota to hukamran Allah T’aala ke ahkaam ko faramosh kar ke Zulam-o-Sitamki intiha kar dete, Is liye Allah T’aala insanon ke aik giroh ko kuch arsa iqtidar deta hai phir us ke Zulm-o-Sitam ka khatima doosare giroh ke zariye kar deta hai takeh insaniyat ko nijat mile aur zalim apne anjam ko pohanchen. Allah T’aala ne is Hikmat-e-Ilahi ka izhar karte huaye irshad farmaya:
“Agar Allah T’aala ba’az logon ko ba’az se dafa’a na karta to zameen mein fasad phel jata lekin Allah T’aala apne bando par bada fazal karne wala hai.” (Al-Baqarah: 2/251)
Neez irshad farmaya:
“Aur agar Allah T’aala ba’az logon ko ba’az se na hatata rehta to ibaadat khane aur girje aur masjiden aur yahoodiyon ke ma’abud aur woh masjiden jahan Allah ka naam ba’kasrat liya jata hai. Sab dhaye ja chuke hote.” (Al-Hajj: 22/40)
Lihaza Tareekh-e-Insani Allah T’aala ki isi sunnat ke shawahid se bhari padi hai. Duniya mein aane wale har jabir, Zalim aur zabardasat ko Allah T’aala ne aik waqat tak Ghalba-o-Iqtidar se nawaza aur phir us ki rassi khench kar dosare giroh ko Ghalba-o-Hukamrani ata kar di. Zalim Mangol, Tatari, Jarman nazi, Roosi aur Bartaniwi isti’amaar Daur-e-Mazi ke ibrat angez namoone hein. Jo mojooda Super Power aur us ke hashiya bardaron ke liye Namoona-e-Ibrt hone chahiyen. Tareekh-e-Islami par nazar dodaein to Ibtida-e-Islam mein Quraish-e-Makkah, ghareeb musalmanon par har tarah ka Zulm-o-Sitam dhate dikhai dete hein. Unhein Baitullah aur Makkah Mukarimah ki sar zameen se hijrat par majboor kar dete hein. Lekin chand hi salon ke ba’ad un ka sara Ghalba-o-Ghuroor unhi ghareeb musalmanon ke qadmon tale hota hai aur woh bakhshish ki bheek mangte dikhaai dete hein.
Aadab-e-Qazi:
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ke qisse se fesla karne ke aadab aur qazi ke aadab ka pata chalta hai. Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام ne apne uqaat ko char hisson mein taqseem kiya huwa tha. Aik din Ibaadat-o-Riyaazat ke liye, Aik din Wa’az-o-Nasihat ke liye, Phir aik din awami feslon ke liye aur aik din apne nafas aur Ahal-o-Ayaal ke liye. Aik aise din jabkeh woh un ke nafas aur Ahal-o-Ayaal ke liye mukhtis tha, Do farishte farzi muqadma le kar hazir huaye. Allah T’aala ne Aap ke darjaat buland karne ke liye Aap ko is aazmaish mein dala tha. Aap ko apni ghalti ka ahsas huwa to foran Bargah-e-Ilahi mein jhuk gaye aur Tubah-o-Istighfaar kiya. Irshad-e-bari T’aala hai:
“Aur Dawood samajh gaye keh ham ne unhein aazmaya, Phir to apne Rab se istighfaar karne lage aur aajizi karte huaye gir pade. Aur (poori tarah) rujoo kiya. Pus ham ne bhi un ka woh (qusoor) maaf farma diya. Yaqinan woh hamare nazdeek bade martabe wale aur bahut ache thikane wale hein.” (Saad: 38/24-25)
Ba’az mufassireen ka khayal yeh hai keh do shakhas haqiqi jhagda le kar aaye thay. Is waqaye se Aap ke Sabar-o-Tahammul ka imtihan liya gaya kiyoun keh jis tarah aur jis waqat woh aaye thay insani tabiat mein ishtiaal aur ghusse ka aana fitri bat thi. Deewar phand kar aana, Ibaadat mein dakhal andazi karna aur Taraz-e-Takallum mein Aap ki Shan-o-Azmat ka lihaz na rakhna, Yeh sab umoor ghussa dilane ke liye kafi thay magar Aap ne sabar ka muzahara kiya, Taham jo halki si tabai nagwari hui thi us par Tuba-o-Istighfaar kar ke Allah ki taraf rujoo’a kiya.
Kuch mufassireen ka khayal yeh hai keh Aap ki aazmaish yeh thi keh Aap qazi hote huaye bhi jhagdon mein uljhe huaye mudaiyon aur mud’aa alaihaan se chup kar bethay thay, Jabkeh qazi ko hamah waqat fesla karne ke liye tayyar rehna chahiye, Lihaza woh donon majboor ho kar deewar phalang kar Aap ke pas pohanche.
Rasool-e-Akram صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ne qaziyon ko nasihat karte huaye farmaya:
“Koi qazi do afraad ke darmiyan ghusse ki haalat mein fesla na kare.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Ahkaam, Baab-o-Hal Yaqz-e-Al Qazi Ao Yufti Wahoa Ghazban? Hadees: 7158)
Mojooda daur ke chief justis aur Jajj hazraat jo lambi lambi gadiyon aur hifazati daston ke hisaar mein aate hein aur aahini faseelon ke ander beth kar Hukamran-e-Waqat ki Khawahish-o-Mansha’a ko poora karne ke liye fesle karte hein unhein is Farman-e-Nabwi
“Qazi teen qisam ke hein: Aik qisam janti hai jabkeh do qismein jahannam mein jayen gi. Jannati qazi woh hai jis ne haq ko pa kar us ke mutabiq fesla kiya, Aur jis qazi ne haq ko ma’aloom kar ke bhi fesle mein zulam kiya woh jahannami hai. Aur woh qazi bhi jahannami hai jis ne mabni bar jahaalat fesle kiye.” (Sunan Abi Dawood, Al-Qaza’a, Baab Fil Qazi Yukhti, Hadees: 3573, Wa Jame’ Al-Tirmizi, Al-Ahkaam, Hadees: 1322)
Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام
Is ke ilawa daraj zel moajizaat se Aap ko nawaza tha.
v Allah T’aala ne Aap ke liye lohe ki sakhti aur mazbooti ko nihaatyat naram kar diya tha, Lihaza Aap bagher pighlaye aur tapaye lohe ko jis tarah chahte mod lete aur jaise chahte us ko shakal de lete. Aap us lohe se jangi libas zirhen tayyar karte jo intihai mutanasib aur khubsooarat hoti thien. Hazrat Qatadah رحمہ اللہ farmate hein keh Hazrat Dawood علیہ السلام se pehle bhi log zirhen banate thay, Magar woh sadah, Bagher kundon aur bagher halqon ke hoti thien lekin Aap ne zirhen kundon aur halqon wali banaien jo zayada mazboot aur mufeed thien.
v Aap k nihayat mutarannam aur pur soaz aawaz ata ki gai thi. Jab Aap apni khubsoorat mutrannam aawaz mein Zaboor ki tilawat farmate to pahad bhi Aap ke sath Shareek-e-Tasbeeh ho jate aur parinde hawa mein thehar jate aur Aap ke sath Tasbeeh-o-Tilawat mein shareek ho jate.
v Buland-o-Bala jamid pahadon aur hawa mein udte huaye parindon ko Aap ke sath tasbeehaat karne ke liye musakkhar kar diya gaya.
Ibaadat-o-Riyaazat Ka Daras:
Allah T’aala ne Apne mahboob Aakhir-ul-Zamaan صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم se Dawood علیہ السلام ka Uswa-e-Hasnah bayan kiya keh woh nihaayat ibaadat guzaar aur Parwardigaar ki taraf Rujoo-o-Inaabat karne wale thay. Irshad-e-Bari T’aala hai:
“Aur (Aye Nabi!) hamare bande Dawood ko yad karo jo badi quwwat wala tha, Yaqinan woh bahut rujoo’a karne wala tha.” (Saad: 17/38)
Aur sab se zayada mahboob roze Dawood علیہ السلام ke roze hein. Woh nisaf rat sote, Phir uth kar tihaai rat qiyam karte aur phir us ke chate hisse mein so jate, Aik din roza rakhte aur aik din naghah karte.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-Tahajjud, Baab-o-Mann Nama Inda-al-Sahri, Hadees: 1131)
Daur-e-Hazir ke ghafil musalmanon ke liye is Farman-e-Nabwi Uswa-e-Hasnah se mahroom aik tabqa rat bhar filmon, Ganon aur Lahaw-o-La’ab ke deegar mashaghil mein masroof reh kar apne Rab ki ibaadat se mahroom ho jata hai jabkeh Uswa-e-Hasnas se ghafil aik doosra tabqa sari rat nawafil padhta rehta hai aur lagataar roze rakh kar apne taqwe ka izhaar karna chahta hai. Halankeh Uswa-e-Hasnah se Mahroomi-o-Ghaflat donon hi Deen-o-Duniya ke liye muzir hein. Agar pehla tabqa gumrahi ki rah par chal raha hai to doosra tabqa gumrahi ki rawish apnaye huaye hai. Allah T’aala musalmanon ko apne Anbiya-e-Kiraam علیہم السلام ke Uswa-e-Hasnah par amal ki taufeeq ata farmaye.

Prophet Dawud (David)
David Challenges Goliath
When the two armies faced each other, Goliath challenged any soldier from King Saul’s army to single combat, as was the custom of battle in those days. Goliath also wanted to show off his strength. The men were terrorized, and no one had enough courage to volunteer. The king offered the hand of his pretty daughter in marriage to the man who would fight Goliath, but even this tempting offer did not change the deadly silence among his soldiers.
Then, to everyone’s surprise, a youth stepped forward. A roar of laughter echoed from the enemy’s side, and even Saul’s men shook their heads.
The young man was David (Dawud), from the city of Bethlehem. His elderly father had chosen three of his sons to join Saul’s army. He had instructed the youngest one, David, not to take part in the fighting but to help the army in other ways and to report to his father daily on what was happening on the war front.
Although Saul was very impressed by the youth’s courage, he said: “I admire your courage, but you are no match for that mighty warrior. Let the strong men come forward.” David, however, had already decided and was willing to meet the challenge. Proudly, he told the king that only the day before he had killed a lion which had threatened his father’s sheep, and on another occasion he had killed a bear. He asked Saul not to judge him by his appearance, for he feared no man or wild beast. Saul, surprised by young David’s brave stance, agreed: “My brave soldier, if you are willing, then may Allah guard you and grant you strength!”
David and Goliath Fight
The king dressed David in battle armor and handed him a sword, but David was not used to wearing battle dress. He felt uncomfortable in it, and it obstructed his movements. He removed the armor, then collected a few pebbles and filled his leather pouch with them. He slung it over his shoulder next to his sling. With his wooden staff in hand, he began to walk towards the enemy. Saul was worried and asked him how on earth, with a sling and a couple of stones was he going to defend himself against the giant? David replied: “Allah Who protected me from the claws of the bear and the fangs of the lion will certainly protect me from this brute!”
When Goliath set eyes on the lean young man who looked like a boy, he laughed loudly and roared: “Are you out to play war with one of your playmates, or are you tired of your life? I will simply cut off your head with one swipe of my sword!”
David shouted back: “You may have armor, shield, and sword, but I face you in the name of Allah, the Lord of the Israelites, Whose laws you have mocked. Today you will see that it is not the sword that kills but the will and power of Allah!”
So saying, he took his sling and placed in it a pebble from his pouch. He swung and aimed it at Goliath. The pebble shot from the whirling sling with the speed of an arrow and hit Goliath’s head with great force. Blood gushed out, and Goliath thumped to the ground, lifeless, before he had a chance to draw his sword. When the rest of his men saw their mighty hero slain, they took to their heeks. The Israelites followed in hot pursuit, taking revenge for their years of suffering at the hands of their enemy, killing every soldier they could lay hands on. In this battle the Israelites regained the glory and honor that had been lost for a long time.
David became a hero overnight. Saul kept his word and married his daughter Michal (Miqel) to the young warrior and took him under his wing as one of his chief advisors.
Allah Gives David the Kingdom
Almighty Allah declared:
“So they routed them by Allah’s Leave and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him (David) the kingdom (after the death of Saul and Samuel) and wisdom, and taught him of that which He willed. And if Allah did not check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief. But Allah is full of Bounty to the Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exist). (Ch 2:251 Quran).
David Becomes a Prophet
David became the most famous man among the Israelites. However, he was not inveigled by this; he was not a prisoner of fame or leadership but a prisoner of Allah’s love. Therefore, after killing Goliath he went out into the desert in the company of nature, glorifying Almighty Allah and contemplating His favors.
“Verily, We made the mountains to glorify Our Praises with him (David) in the Ashi (after the mid-day till sunset) and Ishraq (after the sunrise till mid-day). And (so did) the birds assembled: all with him (David) did turn (to Allah, glorified His Praises). We made his kingdom strong and gave him wisdom and sound judgment in speech and decision. (Ch 38:18-20 Quran)
Creatures such as the plants, birds, beasts, and even the mountains responded to his voice glorifying Allah. Allah had chosen David to be a prophet and revealed the Psalms to him. As He the Almighty said: “And to David We gave the Psalms.” (Ch 17:55 Quran).
David is Granted the Language of Animals
David recited his scripture and glorified Allah while the mountains joined him praise and the birds rallied around him. Almighty Allah directed:
Be patient (O Muhammad) of what they say, and remember Our slave David, endured with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance toward Allah. (Ch 38:17 Quran).
David’s sincerity was not the only factor responsible for the birds and beasts joining with him in glorifying Allah, nor was the sweetness of his voice. IT was a miracle from Allah. This was not his only miracle, for Allah also endowed him with the faculty of understanding the languages of birds and animals.
David’s Fasting and Praying
David (pbuh) fasted every other day. Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Al-As narrated: Allah’s Apostle (pbuh) said to me: “The most beloved fasting to Allah was the fasting of the Prophet David, who used to fast alternate days. And the most beloved prayer to Allah was the prayer of David, who used to sleep the first half of the night, and pray for one third of it and again sleep for a sixth of it.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari).
Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Al-As also narrated: “The Prophet (pbuh) said to me: ‘I have been informed that you pray all the nights and observe fast all the days; is this true? I replied: “Yes.’ He said: ‘If you do so, your eyes will be weak and you will get bored. So fast three days a month, for this will be the fasting of a whole year. (Or equal to the fasting of a whole year).’ I said: ‘I find myself able to fast more.’ He said: ‘Then fast like the fasting of (the Prophet) David (pbuh) who used to fast on alternate days and would not flee on facing the enemy.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
Iron Becomes Flexible for David
Allah granted David great influence. His people had a great number of wars in their time, but they had a problem in that the iron armor was too heavy for the fighter to move and fight as he wished. It is said that David was sitting one day, contemplating this problem while toying with a piece of iron. Suddenly, he found his hand sinking in the iron. Almighty Allah had made it flexible for him:
“And We made the iron soft for him.” (Ch 34:10 Quran)
Saul Becomes Jealous of David
The people praised and loved David. However, the hearts of men are fickle and their memories short. Even great men can feel insecure and become petty-minded. One day David found Saul in a worried state. He sensed something strange in Saul’s attitude towards him. That night, when he shared his feeling with his wife, she started to weep bitterly and said “O David, I will never keep any secrets from you.” She told him that her father had become jealous of his popularity and feared that he would lose his kingdom to him. She advised him to be on his guard.
This information shocked David very much. He prayed and hoped that Saul’s good nature would overcome the darker side of his character. The following day, Saul summoned David to inform him that Canaan had gathered its forces and would march on the kingdom. He ordered David to advance on them with the army and not to return unless victory was gained.
David sensed that this was an excuse to get rid of him; either the enemy would kill him, or in the thick of battle, Saul’s henchmen might stab him in the back. Yet he hastened with his troops to meet the army of Canaan. They fought the Canaanites brav, without thinking of their own safety. Allah granted them victory, and David lived to return to Saul.
Saul Plots to Kill David
Unfortunately, this only increased Saul’s fear, so he plotted to kill David. Such is jealousy that not even a daughter’s well-being mattered. Michal leamed of her father’s plan and hurried to wam her husband. David gathered some food and things, mounted his camel and fled. He found a cave in which he remained hidden for many days.
After a time, David’s brothers and some citizens joined forces with him. Saul’s position became very weak, for he began to rule with a heavy hand. He ill-treated the learned, tortured the reciters of the Talmud, and terrorized his soldiers. This worsened his position, and his subjects began to turn against him. He decided to go war against David. Hearing this news, David marched to confront Saul’s army.
David Forgives Saul
The king’s army had traveled a great distance and was overcome by fatigue, so they decided to rest in a valley, where they fell asleep. Quietly, David crept up to the sleeping Saul, removed his spear, and cut off a piece of his garment with the sword. David then awakened the king and told him: “Oh king, you come out seeking me, but I do not hate you, and I do not want to kill you. If I did, I would have killed you when you were asleep. Here is a piece of your garment. I could have hacked your neck instead, but I did not. My mission is that of love, not malice.” The king realized his mistake and begged for forgiveness.
David Becomes King
Time passed and Saul was killed in a battle in which David did not take part.
David succeeded Saul, for the people remembered what he had done for them and elected him king.
So it was that David the Prophet was also a king. Allah strengthened the dominion of David and made him victorious. His kingdom was strong and great; his enemies feared him without engaging in war with him.
David’s Son Solomon (PBUT)
David had a son named Solomon (Suleimar), who was intelligent and wise from childhood. When the following story took place, Solomon was eleven years old.
David had a son named Solomon (Sulaiman), who was intelligent and wise from childhood. When the following story took place, Solomon was eleven years old.
One day David, was sitting, as usual, solving the problems of his people when two men, one of whom had a field, came to him. The owner of the field said: “O dear Prophet! This man’s sheep came to my field at night and ate up the grapes and I have come to ask for compensation.” David asked the owner of the sheep: “Is this true?” He said: “Yes, sir.” David said: “I have decided that you give him your sheep in exchange for the field.” Solomon, to whom Allah had given wisdom in addition to what he had inherited from his father, spoke up: “I have another opinion. The owner of the sheep should take the field to cultivate until the grapes grow, while the other man should take the sheep and make use of their wool and milk until his field is repaired. If the grapes grow, and the field returns to its former state, then the field owner should take his field and give back the sheep to their owner.”
David responded: “This is a sound judgment. Praise be to Allah for gifting you with wisdom. You are truly Solomon the Wise.”
David as a Ruler
Prophet David was a just and righteous ruler who brought peace and prosperity to his people, and whom Allah honored as a messenger. He delivered Allah’s message to the people through the precious gift of his melodious voice. When he recited the Psalms (Zaboor), it was as if the rest of creation chanted with him; people listened as if in a trance. The messages David delivered are famous and well remembered. They are known in the Bible as the Psalms or Songs of David. David divided his working day into four parts: one to earn a living and to rest, one to pray to his Lord, one to listen to the complaints of his people, and the last part to deliver his sermons. He also appointed deputies to listen to his subjects’ complaints so that in his absence people’s problems might not be neglected.
Although a king, he did not live on the income of his kingdom. Being well-experienced in the craft of weapon-making, he made and sold weapons and lived on that income.
Angels Teach David About Fairness
One day, as David was praying in his prayer niche, he ordered his guards not to allow anyone to interrupt him, but two men managed to enter and disturb him. “Who are you?” he asked. One of the men said: “Do not be frightened. We have a dispute and have come for your judgment.” David said: “What is it?” The first man said: “This is my brother, has ninety nine sheep, and I have one. He gave it to me but took it back.” David, without hearing from the other party said: “He did you wrong by taking the sheep back, and many partners oppress one another, except for those who are believers.”
The two men vanished like a cloud, and David realized that they were two angels sent to him to teach him a lesson. He should not have passed a judgment without hearing from the opposing party.
Almighty Allah told us of this incident:
“And has the news of the litigants reached you? When they climbed over the wall into (his) Mihrab (a praying place or a private room). When they entered in upon David, he was terrified of them, they said: Fear not! (We are) two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other; therefore judge between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, and guide us to the Right Way.”
“Verily, this is my brother (in religion) has ninety nine ewes, while I have only one ewe, and he says: ‘Hand it over to me,’ and he overpowered me in speech.”
David said immediately without listening to the opponent: “He has wronged you in demanding your ewe in addition to his ewes. And, verily, many partners oppress one another, except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and they are few.”
And David guessed that We have tried him and he sought Forgiveness of his Lord, and he fell down prostrate and turned to Allah in repentance. So We forgave him that, and verily, for him is a near access to Us, and as good place of final return Paradise.
O David! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in truth and justice. And follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah shall have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning (Ch 38:21-26 Quran).
The Death of Prophet David
David worshipped Allah, glorified Him and sang His praise until he died. According to traditions, David died suddenly and was mourned by four thousand priests as well as thousands of people.
It was so hot that people suffered from the intensity of the sun. Solomon called the birds to protect David and the people from the sun, and they did so until he was buried. This was the first sign of his dominion to be witnessed by the people.
