24. The Story of Prophet Isa (AS)

The Story of Prophet Isa (AS)

A Miracle Birth

Prophet Isa (AS) was a miraculous gift from Allah. He was born to Maryam (AS), a pure and righteous woman chosen by Allah. Maryam (AS) was visited by Angel Jibreel (AS), who brought her the good news of a son:

“O Maryam, indeed Allah gives you glad tidings of a word from Him, his name will be Isa, the Messiah, son of Maryam, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter.”

(Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:45)

Isa (AS) was born without a father. This miracle was a sign of Allah’s power, just as Prophet Adam (AS) was created without parents.

Baby Isa Speaks

When Isa (AS) was born, Maryam (AS) brought him to her people. They were shocked and accused her of wrongdoing. But baby Isa (AS) spoke to defend his mother. He said:

“Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.”

(Surah Maryam 19:30)

This was one of Isa’s (AS) first miracles, proving he was a special servant of Allah.

Prophet Isa’s Mission

When Isa (AS) grew older, Allah made him a prophet and gave him the Injeel (Gospel). He taught people to worship Allah alone and to follow Allah’s guidance. Isa (AS) performed many miracles, including:

  1. Healing the sick: He cured the blind and lepers.
  2. Bringing the dead to life: With Allah’s permission, he revived the dead.
  3. Creating a bird from clay: By Allah’s will, he made a clay bird come to life.

Despite these signs, many people rejected his message and plotted against him.

Allah Protects Isa (AS)

The enemies of Isa (AS) wanted to harm him, but Allah protected him. The Quran says:

“They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them.”

(Surah An-Nisa 4:157)

Instead, Allah raised Isa (AS) to the heavens. He will return before the Day of Judgment to defeat the false Messiah (Dajjal) and bring peace to the earth.

✦ Lessons from Prophet Isa (AS):

 1. Trust in Allah: Isa (AS) always relied on Allah’s help.

 2. Allah’s Power: His miraculous birth and deeds show Allah can do anything.

 3. Be a kind and just leader: Isa (AS) cared for the weak and guided people with love and wisdom

Prophet Isa (AS) is an example of faith, compassion, and dedication to Allah. His story reminds us to follow the path of truth and trust in Allah’s plan.
